DC check in problem in webdynpro

Hi,
In my project standard ess package has been modified but never checke din a track.
We are now created a track with standard code.
How can we push our modified code into the track now?
When we copied the _comp folder and tried with DTR->Add->Subtree..got a popup (Add local-only resources) which has no file inside it.
Please suggest.

Thanks a lot for your reply.The Dc I have is already having all the files in the source -> packages folder.
I copy my modified files on top of it. After pasting the packages folder, i can see duplicate component and duplicate model in wd perspective.
If i do add->subtree..it tells the resources have already been added to the repository.
If it is a blank DC, it works. But my DC is identical..just some code in some of the files

Check authrozation problems in WebDynpro

Hello,
In SAPGUI there exists a tool for analysing authorization errors (go in a SAPGUI menu to System->Utilities->Display Authorization Checks or start transaction code SU53). The tool display which authorization check has failed and displays the current user setting for the failed authorization object. The tool is important e.g. for system adminstrators in order to quickly analyse authroization problems.
In WebDynpro screens I didn't find that functionality. How would I analyse authorization problems for WebDynpro applications?

I believe that when you have and AUTHORITY-CHECK within your WDA component, if this check is not successful, it will generate an entry on t-code SU53.
If you need to display in your wda component the same information SU53 displays, I believe you'll need to develop it, because I think there's no such tool in WDA.

FYI. Problem about webdynpro embedding

Dear Expert:
I encountered a problem with webdynpro embedded in portal.
Let's make it simple,
the source of a UI element Image in the webdynpro binds to a link   -> ftp://...../test.jpg
in my program I change the link dynamically after some action.
Everything works fine if I run this webdynpro.
But the strange thing is when I embed the webdynpro into portal, the image could not be displayed, even
it could not be shown if I bind it to the fixed link. (ftp:///)
I tried other source like http://///test.jpg, it works in portal,   but how FTP source fails?   I check there is no cache.

Please check your application log and/or default trace to see what exactly happened. It might have something to do with security (depending on your landscape between portal, Web AS, FTP site), how you generated the URL in your WD application. Please refer to this doc (p.18)

Use Performance Tool to check memory problem

Don't know about source code analyzer, but dbx, the Sun Studio debugger, is capable of detecting memory leaks at run time. You can use bcheck script on your application or start dbx, issue "check -leaks" and then run your app under dbx.

Check print Problem - F110

Hi,
Automatic payment program run was carried out in the last week through F110. It was observed that 56 payment documents has been generated, but due to check lot problem, only 12 checks has been issued and the programe was terminated due to insufficinent checks.
I would like to assign new check lot number for the above doucments for which checks not issued.
Let me know what is the procedure

Reprint Check (FCH7).
Procedure
1.       Start the transaction using the transaction code FCH7. The Reprint Check screen appears.
2.       As required, complete/review the following fields:
·         Paying company code
·         House bank
·         Account ID
·         Check Number
·         Void reason code
·         Check lot number
·         Alternative form
·         Padding Character
·         Printer for forms
·         Payment advice printer
3.       Select the checkbox to the left of Print Immediately.

I have run the program to check a problem that I'm having. The particularly with video, and also volume structure. TEchTool Delux reports a failure for both of these components.
I am wondering if this is realistic or not, given the start-up screen for TechTool Delux mentions on start-up that it has yet to be tested fully with Lion?

Yes, I understand, however, he Macbook is out of its Applecare, but the TechTool it still on the machine. Does that entitle me to an upgrade in TechTool?
I suspect not, hoever, seeing I am running Lion, I am not sure at all? If you can answer this question it will help as then Imight be able to solve the problem I'm having.

Firefox 3..7 problems with webdynpro for abap

webdynpro for abap is not running in firefox 3.7 alpha.
Is the problem known?

That isn't even a final release level of the browser - so it of course woudn't be supported. Check the PAM (Product Availability Matrix) http://service.sap.com/pam for the latest supported browser versions. Often you need the latest support package in order to have correct rendering on newer versions of the browsers.

Problem in Webdynpro and Adobe form with signature field

Hi experts!
I have a problem with Signature Field in Adobe Form showed in a Web Dynpro Abap.
During the execution I fill the Signature field correctly but when I push any other button of the Webdynpro, the Adobe Form shows me the next error.
After click OK, the webdynpro is hang and not respond.
Any idea why not respond?

Its not like that the Adobe created using SFP is non interactive.
We can create interactive forms using SFP transaction using java code.
I think it will be the problem with ADS just check with your basis people i think they will configure you the settings which works fine.
To check whether the settings are perfect you can try executing the standard programs FP_TEST_00 and
FP_PDF_TEST_00. If it works fine then some other problem exists else check with your basis team.
Just check this and revert me if you have any issues. I will help you

after importing the bapi,
to all the values in bapi table use this code
First initialize the "Table" and then add it to the input.
For example your BAPI (eg. "Z_BAPI_INPUT") has a table ("XT_Table") with two parameters (eg. "FIRST_NAME" and "SECOND_NAME").

Xt_Table table = new Xt_Table();
table.setFirst_Name("Abcd");

Weird Problem in WebDynpro

Hi gurus!!
I created a WD project:
- created a model with reference to a ZBAPI
- created a Component
- created a Custom Controller with 2 nodes: one to the INPUT class of the model, and the other to the OUTPUT class of the model
- created a View Main
- created a View Result
- bind the context of view Main to the INPUT node of the custom controller
- bind the context of view Result to the OUTPUT node of the custom controller
- At the end I have 2 views of the same component related to the same custom controller, and this custom controller related to both the INPUT and OUTPUT classes of the main model
- added the fields to the corresponding views
- on the view Main:

I execute the app, push the button, but no values are displayed on the results view.
I verified the bapi, it's getting executed and is returning the values correctly, but still they're not getting displayed. I made sure of that, because I have the bapi create a text file on the server with the values it found, so I know for sure it's getting executed correctly.
I wonder if there's some step I might have missed.
The BAPI has 2 import parameters, and a Z structure as an export parameter.
Does anyone have a clue what might be the error!?

I think BAPI is not executing properly. Check the size of Output Node.

Refresh problem of Webdynpro application which is wrapped in a BSP IFrame

I have a BSP Iframe inside which I am calling a webdynpro application ('zwdc_re_replenishment'). The requirement is that this WD application should be reloaded whenever a timeout occurs. Currently, when there is a timeout, an error is shown.
In order to achieve this, for this WD Application , I have a SICF node to which I have attached a customized Errorpage via the option 'Redirect URL'.
Whenever the WD application undergoes a timeout error, my custom error page is called which is named as errorpage.htm. On this page in the 'OnInitialization event', I try to call the WD application URL again (via the following code) which should reload the application. But instead I get a blank page.

First of all, thanks a lot for replying !!
Sorry for the confusion. Although seems like you have answered my question already.
Actually the requirement for embedding WDA inside a BSP Iframe came up since there are some WD report applications that are accessed by very controlled environments in which the users were not able to close the WDA session directly (without the IFrame) and were getting some errors. Hence the WDAs had to be wrapped inside BSP IFrame which solved the above problem.
I am working with only one BSP app which has the Iframe and one WD app which is called within the BSP app.
Now, the other requirement that came up was that whenever the WDA session inside the BSP IFrame expires, there should be no error page and instead the WD app should be reloaded.
So I was trying to reload the WD App in the following way.
1. For the SICF node of WDA, I attached an errorpage.htm for all the tabs under the tab 'Error Pages'. I have defined this errorpage.htm inside the same BSP App which has got another default.htm page. So the BSP App has 2 views : default.htm which has the IFrame and Errorpage.htm.
2. So now when the WDA expires, the events of errorpage.htm are called like OnInitialization, In this event I was calling the methods navigation->exit( 'URL of the same WDA' ).
I did this because I wanted to reload the WDA whenever it expires. I tried to specify the WDA Url in the SICF node of the same WDA in 'Redirect URL' under the Error Page tabs but it didnot work.
Now I realize this is not gonna work. I didnot want to modify the WDA and so I didnot specify any exit plugs in the WDA which would have taken care of reloading the WDA. But that seems to be the only way out.
Actually speaking there are multiple WDAs which will open inside the same BSP IFrame via their own Application URLs. I have coded the BSP IFrame to read the URL Parameters and open up the corresponding WDA. So now I have to define an exit plug in all of these WDAs.
Do you suggest that this will solve the problem of WDA refresh ? Just to confirm.

Before I can start editing the text in InCopy, a dialog comes up and I have to check out the content
(Don't know the exact words of the dialog, because i only have a german version).
But when I try to check out the content, nothing happens.

Adobe Drive 2.1.0.204, as a client from a VersionCueServer CS4, version 4.0.1.090
Adobe Bridge, opening an InCopy-File (*.icml) form here
Adobe InCopy CS4 (version 6.0.6), checkout from here does not work:
InCopy-File is ever write-protected
Is there any software-patch or workaround available, until Adobe Drive 2.2 is on the market?

Check printing problem in Tcode F110...Urgent

Hi All,
I am getting problem in check printing.
While I am running the Tcode F-58 I am getting check printing exactly in one page.But the problem here is when I am printing the check using Tcode F110 its giving print in 3 or 4 pages.The last page is getting the correct Invoice entry ,but the first three pages are getting prints like VOID**VOID*.
How to delete the first three unwanted pages which contains VOID.
Please let me know abt this issue.

Well, as it's so urgent.....
This is standard functionality, designed to make sure the cheque paper is correctly linded up in the printer. The number of pages is set in the selection screen of the print program in field 'Number of sample printouts'. Set this to 0 to stop the pages appearing.
