Dealing with Table Ownership Issues

I'm trying to migrate our database from SS7 to O9i; however, all of the tables in the SS7 database are owned by "dbo", which seems to translate as "null" in the OMWB, and when the OMWB tries to create a table in the new model with an ownership of "null", it throws an exception.
Is there a way of configuring the OMWB so that it can create tables as a particular user when it encounters "dbo" in the SS7 database? This would be better for us than trying to reassign ownership in all of our SS7 tables.

sql can take more memory from outside buffer pool if linked server ,CLR,extended stored procs XML are heavily utilized

InDesign Crashes When Dealing with Table

Hi Folks,
I'm running a 2012 MacBook Pro, OSX 10.8.4, and InDesign CS6 8.0.1
I have a document I've been working on for the better part of 1.5 years now (a physics book, lots of pictures, diagrams, equations, etc.) This morning it was working fine.
A few hours later, there is one specific table at the end of a chapter on page 199 that appears corrupted. All the data in the table magically disappeared. Now, when I try to edit the table, delete the table, export the file, anything, everything stops and crashes the moment the table comes into play.
I first tried just deleting the table. Causes InDesign to crash.
Then I tried exporting the file to IDML. Causes InDesign to crash.
I've tried deleting preferences... still causes InDesign to crash.
I can export to PDF still.
The only issue appears to be with the file (and that particular table). Editing other files, or other tables in the document, still works fine.
Any ideas? I'm happy to erase the problem content and continue, but I can't afford to throw the entire document away and start over... and anytime I try to delete the table, edit the table, etc, the whole thing crashes.

How do i deal with 'security certificate' issues on my iPad2? I'm unable to answer the security questions that pop up when Im trying to download an app because the pop up does not load properly...

Basically my Ipad2 stopped allowing me to go to sites such as Tumblr a little while ago. It wouldn't display the page properly because of 'security certificate' issues. This in itself would not have been such a problem, but when I went to the App store to try and download the Tumblr App, a pop up appeared asking me to answer some security questions before I could successfully install the App. However, the pop up would not display correctly because of 'security certificate' issues and as a result I can't download any apps from the App Store. Can anyone help with this??

Dealing with tables from different databases?

Hi. I'm a newbie to Visual Studio 2012 and stuck on how to interact with different datasets.
I am building a report that is associated with with two tables, each from a different database. The
master_flat table with the primary key matter_number is from the first database and it contains all the columns I need that should show up in the report layout I've built. However,
billing_table with the primary key matter_number contains a flag that I go by which I must use to determine whether each matter should come through in the reporting or not.
I've set the master_flat as dataset1 and the billing_table as dataset2. Now, what is the best way in Visual studio 2012 to filter by the matters that has flag "N" in dataset2?

We are way out of sync. Lets synchronize. I'm not sure which question you are refering to. Is it the "C# or VBnet" question or is it the "One or two database Question". It seem like it would be the database question since you
should know which programming language you are using.
Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). After login, there is an explorer where you can browse the databases, tables, and fields in the tables. You should be able to view how you build the database. If you right click any tables and then
"Script Table As : Select To : New Query Editor Window". There is an execute button to run the query. You can aslo edit the query. I usually test all my qeuries in SSMS before actually using them in an application. I would get a JOIN
SQL working in SSMS.
If you let me know if you are using VBnet or C# I will write a simple LINQ. Even better if you supply me the names of the columns of the two tables.

How do I deal with CPU Temp Issues?

my newly built pc just wanted to shut down b/c the temp hit 80C. I opened it up and the heatsink, cpu, fan everything is not very hot. One spot (don't know technical terms for each piece yet) is a bit warm, but mostly it is cool.
I know this is an ongoing isue with the BIOS. Is this the only way to fix? Does the most recent really fix this? This is my first built pc and it took me a few days to get everything working. I don't want to mess with the BIOS Flash already as I have never done one. Do I just ignore it as long as everything feels cool or should I update the BIOS? Just want to get a feel for what others are experiencing.
The thermaltake fan is set to auto. Perhaps I should just set it too always be on high, which sounds like a little rocket ship and drowns out the TV in my bedroom.
One last REAL STUPID question. Since the temp readings aren't accurate, what exactly is too hot to the touch? Are we talking boiling water hot, where I pull my hand back? Right now the heatsink is warm, but not so hot that I can't keep my fingers holding it.

the case is the Raidmax 668Scorpio. There is one fan at the top, two in front, two in back and one on the plastic door. I think the front back can blow air in or out.
The heatsink is the Thermaltake Venus 12. I set it to blow automatically. It was spinning about 4200rpm when the temp hit 80C. I did apply compound just on the cpu so it does not cover the heatsink fully, but only on the piece that touches the cpu.
I just turned on the pc after shutting down a few hours ago. I went right into BIOS and the CPU starts at 66C. It is cold to the touch, xso no way its 154F.
This doesn't leave me much room to go to 80C and it's not even loaded up windows yet. While I'm typing this on my Dell, I see it has just hity 69C, while just sitting on the BIOS screen.

I think your approach of mapping the table using TableCell is not correct because the tablecell is updated everytime you scroll,click and other events. Although I can't give you full guide but the algorithm must be something like this:
+ Use the index of table cell or item Object instead of using the tableCell.
+ The index of cell is get from cell.getIndex();
Implementation
+ If the mapping is to be done then you must first save the index of two table in a Map<integer,integer> .
+ Now update the line of mapping only if the index matches in the cellfactory (during update of the table cell).
Otherwise the line x,y must be set to the last known x,y position of that tablerow indexI think this way the things goes correctly. One thing to remember that tablecell is always updated.

VBA and RFC - How to deal with tables in export/import parameters

I have a couple of vba modules reading and writing data to SAP by means of function modules. As usual, they use export and import parameters as well as tables (in the table section). They work very well.
Now, I want to execute some newer function modules and they don't use tables in the table section (because they're obsolete nowadays), instead they expect the tables as export resp. import parameters. I tried it in a couple of ways, without any success.
Has anybody tried this before? And if so, do you mind share some snippets?

The way to go is hierarchical field names, as it has been said.
What would give you more flexibility, would be to give your element page's fields logical names. This would lead to building blocks, which can be freely combined. Any logic within the building blocks would not change at all, and logic going beyond a block would be straightforward to set up.

Best way to deal with this color issue?

Hi,
I exported an hour long sequence from ppro to blu-ray though media encoder and it took a few hours.
Now I discovered one of my clips (3 seconds long) in my original PPro sequence, has a color imbalance and
naturally that has been carried over into my file for encore.
Since I didn't use dynamic link, what is the most efficient way to fix this?
Is there a way to edit in encore?
Is there a way to just export that one clip from ppro and combine it into the original file on the encore timeline?
Is it possible to an additional video track in encore and place that clip above the 1st video track?
If the above is not possible, than the best way might be to export just that chapter from ppro, then in Encore, make it a new timeline, trim original timeline to that chapter containing the fix clip point, then make end action from original timeline to new timeline. Finally, make a third timeline with the original sequence that starts after the fixed chapter point, and link to it.
I'm trying to avoid having to re-export the entire hour long sequence again.

The only way to do this is to correct the problem in Premiere & re-encode the whole thing, making sure you use a different name.

Dealing with the freeze issue too. However, their fix didn't seem to take permanently. Anybody have another solution?

I called support and was told to change which version of my video card to select when creating a new project. I changed it from the "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration" to the "Software only" setting when making the choice under "General: Video Rendering and Playback." Apparently, my Windows 7 Professional machine's graphics card causes a problem for Premeire Pro so, it has to be selected this way. However, this morning, my son ran into the same problem. we reset the selection but, still get the freeze and crash. Help?

Dealing with the sensor issue

Based on 100% consistent results testing 4 demo phones at the Apple store today, plus the genius' phone as well as my own - not to mention responses I've gotten here, I think most problems people have with the proximity sensor is because the sensor goes to a lower power (or fewer pulses) when you have it on your ear.
Some normal movements can cause the power to go even lower so that even when on your ear, the screen can turn on if your ear canal is deep enough and you place the sensor right over that.

Most important test, so far, is third from the top on that page.
With this experience in mind and knowing some people see no real-life problems, I would suggest considering the following things:
1. Are kids having a problem (smaller ears may be a big benefit considering the problem).
2. Do women have the problem as much as men (maybe smaller ears or maybe hair over the ear makes a difference).
3. What is the shape of your ear? Don't know how to guide you in making such comparisons, but it is likely a factor.
As you consider these things, there are some results I can't explain - unless it is just random chance. Key one is why do some people get improvement with 4.1 and others have it get worse? I sure don't know.

I know. I have a 3G which never had this problem.
But how do you know it is a hardware problem? I've clearly shown the distance CHANGING and no one has given an explanation for how the things I did in testing would cause that by hardware.
Another user posted how the sensor power or pulses are reduced and that would be controlled by software.
Not saying hardware can't be involved as well, but I think the tests show software is a major factor.
But I'm open to an explanation for how the hardware would be affected by what I'm doing.
Oh, and while I did a lot of tests with the card, I've started working today on doing it with my fingers and the results are NOT good.
As I expected, the card is probably more reflective than skin so the tests I've done so far with my finger shows the screen turning off at a lower distance to start and even lower as the test progresses.
Unfortunately, measurement is going to be even more imprecise this way. A finger isn't as flat for one thing, and it is harder to be sure it is directly over the sensor. That may also reduce the distance.

I have seen many blogs and chat sites discussing the problems with iOS 6 but none seem to cover the issues I'm experiencing. Is anyone else dealing with the following issues?

The volume control is sometimes missing when I play music then mysteriously reappears later. Music is playing but can't be heard on phone speakers or external speakers. Then sometimes after turning the mute button on and off and using the volume controls the audio will return. Sometimes the clicker noise that's heard when typing stops working then suddenly starts again in the middle of composing a message. Sometimes when attempting to touch the screen so i can type, I'm unable to. I only started having these problems after downloading the new ios. Am I alone in these issues or are others experiencing then as well.

Proactively dealing with the heat.

Many user's of the new macbook's and macbook pro's are recognizing the high heat issues of these machines. Some however report of having no significant heat experience at all. I do not see any reason why some macbook's who get uncomfortably hot and some wouldn't. Is it possible that some user's w/o complaints simply haven't used thier computer for long enough periods to establish a significant heat level? Most people don't even use a computer for longer than an hour or so,. Personally, my macbook gets a little warm. But this is only after an hour or so. During the first hour, following a long rest/sleep, the heat is fine. After that I must say that it gets a little warm on my lap, enough for me to shift it around every once and a while. But it really doesn't bother me that much. But the key word here. "ME."
I venture to say this:
All macbook's and macbook pro's and quite possibly all notebook's will get hot to uncomfortable point if used for a long enough period. However, since the description "uncomfortable" is entirely subjective, we will get:
1. More extreme reports from user's with very sensitive skin.
2. Mild or no report at all from user's not sensitive enough for the warmth to get to them.
3. Report's of no heat problems whatsoever from user's who do not use thier computer's for long enough periods, or long enough sitting's to warrant the upper heat levels (by far, the vast majority of user's will be in this category and you will never hear a word from them. If you do, it will be very positive, which is entirely O.K. and honest and absolutely understandable, albeit perhaps a bit misleading to a different user.)
4. Report's of no heat from user's who, in the much understandable excitement of having just recieved the macbook, have prematurely posted a no heat experience without even having used thier machine long enough.
Personally, I fall under the #2 group. If the heat begin's to bother me I just shift the computer a little bit or put it on the table instead. I, out of what I would call common sense, never expected that a notebook would not be hot.
Notebook's are going to get hot. Cram all that power into such a small area and heat will certainly be produced. Now one can argue for the reasons why but one can also not escape the fact that pretty much all laptop and notebook computer's get very warm after extended use periods or processor heavy periods. With the current technology there is not a way to remove this issue.
All this being said, we must discover ways of minimizing that heat if we should want to use our notebooks indeed as "laptops." I am open to dealing with the heat issue and am open to any advice any of you can offer to minimize this inherent issue. Those of us who are bothered by the heat level and have found or know of ways of reducing it should speak. Does anyone care to start?
(DO NOT POST TO TELL ME THAT YOU HAVE NO HEAT PROBLEMS. THE HEAT PROBLEMS ARE NOT BAD. THEY ARE JUST THERE. WETHER OR NOT YOU DEFINE IT AS A PROBLEM DEPENDS ENTIRE UPON YOU AND YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIECE. I WANT ONLY TO DEAL WITH THEM HERE.)

A simple visit to an Apple store (if geographically possible) will show that your model, the 1.83ghz MacBook, appears to be the coolest to the touch along the bottom and topsides, of all models. Oddly, in one of the stores we visited (of 3), the temperature varied among the same configurations. ie. Black MacBooks along side one another, where one was much, much warmer than the other, confirmed by store members and personnel. A 17" MacBook Pro was the coolest to the touch, but possibly because the larger surface area of the shell made for a greater radiator or heat sink, if you will.
We have 2 MacBooks, an iMacIntel Duo 20", and a venerable 17" G4 Powerbook. The heat generated varies remarkably on the Intel processors depending on configuration of memory, usage, climate and the programs running.
Now if the Macbooks only had a backlit keyboard, then it would be nearly perfect for those night time living room surfing in the dark evenings at our house.
