It's extremely unlikely that we'll delete files off your filesystem. Have you looked in the quarantine section of your virus scanner to see if it's getting flagged?

Help! When I turned on my Mac Book Pro this morning, everything had disappeared, even settings on trackpad, desktop photo etc were back to when I bought it 2 months ago.
I'm a big believer in backups - I keep two drives with Time Machine backups and 4 (actually 5, if you count the one in my banks vault now) clones of my internal drive.
You can never have too many backup schemes!

iPhoto is available for download from the App Store for $14.99.
A free photo editing app called Picasa is available from Google HERE.
The "file manager" on a Mac is called the Finder. A finder window may be opened by clicking on the Finder icon on the dock.
Or click on the desktop then got to the Finder menu on the top of the screen and select File - New Finder Window.
You may want to repost your mobile boradband question as a stand alone question. You may find someone who can answer that one.

Okay so when I had a ipod touch 4 with ios 6 my apple id got hacked and they spent all my itunes credit bla blah blah. so i made a new apple id which was fine and was working. i recently upgraded to an ipod 5 so did my sister and i got ios 7and she just kept ios 6 then my ipod camera crapped out so i decided to back up my ipod first and switch with my litttle sister by erasing and restoring both of them. I erased my little sisters one and restored it to mine but it said to do that it needed to upgrade to io7 so i let it do its thing and then my ipod camera started working again (i hadnt erased mine) I then relised when i clicked back up to my ipod on my little sisters ipod i clicked the back up which was ages ago when i was using my ipod 4 and ios6 with my old apple id that i no longer use. now that i want to change her ipod back to her own one not with my old stuff on it. it is logged into the old apple id with the old email that we deleted and the old icloud account linked to the same old email account that is deleted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------LONG STORY SHORT : I am trying to erase my sisters ipod so i can restore it back to normal but theres is an old apple id on it with an email account and icloud account that has been deleted. PLEASE HELP ME
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

When i try to do a software update, it finishes and then says that the update cannot be saved because it has probably been corrupted during the download. This has happened a number of times and i do not know why, any help?

All of a sudden, my ipod touch will only recognize/play purchased items. I then have to completely reset the ipod and re-sync. I've had to do this 6 times, and support has been no help.
So you also rebooted your router correct? Does the iPod still connect okay to other networks?

I am trying to sort out a friends macbook that has been subjected to a scam attack. I am a pc user so am struggling here a bit. Her machine seems to have been attacked by a program called MacSecurity. It is telling her that she has a number of viruses, etc and she needs to register to get rid of them. A **** page keeps trying to open as well. This type of scam is often found on PC's and is easy to remove.
After scouring the internet for solutions and came accross 2 programs that are said to remove it - I installed them and neither have worked. The programs i tried were MacScan 2 and iAntivirus. Both are free programs.
Can anyone help please.See this discussion for instructions on removing the trojan.

It seems that year long delay from having your lock button repaired has finally caught up to you. Sounds like you have some damage to your phone that requires repair/replacement. Take it to a Apple store or contact Apple Tech Support.

Which iTunes, on iPad, iTunes is a Store and it won't take your .mp4.
On pc, check if it supports the mp4 (there are a number of different mp4 format) you have converted.

I really need to solve this problem as I cannot receive mail in my Mail program except that each day one message—the same message—arrives. It comes from Mail Delivery System and the subject is Delivery Status Notification (Failure). No matter what time it arrives, it still has the date of 9/15 and the time of 8:39 AM. All other mail stays at Gmail and is not imported. This began I think when I opened one of those Mail Delivery System messages and it was completely blank, just one blank box.
In answering, please realize that I am not extremely computer-savvy.
I left a message here about my problem before (this weekend) but now cannot seem to find it. Do messages drop off?
