Debug flash professional project type with php

It works with flex project type, you can also debug a flash professional project in flash builder but how can we debug both flash professional project and the php project in the same IDE.

    I create the project just fine, and check it in, but when a fellow employee goes to check it out using the check out wizard he is prompted to pick a target .fla to point to. I want him to be able to check out all the files and just start working. I don’t want him to create a fla to start with.
    Does the above make sense?
    There is not much out there about flash professional projects. I appreciate our tutorials.

  • Flash Builder - No Code Hinting For New Flash Professional Project??

    I had been using flash builder as an as3 editor and compiling from flash builder. The Flash Professional Project in Flash Builder seems perfect. It will give me the flexibility to compile from Flash Professional, or compile from the flex sdk, use breakpoints, have all my files nicely in the package explorer.
    However, it has been a terrible terrible experience. For some reason code hinting is completely turned off on all levels in Flash Professional Projects. I have been looking in every preference panel trying to figure out why this is happening. If it is actually the case that you get no code hinting whatsoever then they really should not have even bothered adding this into Flash Builder because coding in this fashion is a joke.
    However, I am still optimistic about it. Can someone help me turn on code hinting?

    Ok. Solved it. The issue was that we were using linked source code and library swcs that were all located under the same directory. When you pull up the project's properties and go to "Flex Build Path" under the "Source Path" tab you can add that directory without a problem. However, under the "Library Path" instead of just adding the directory, I added each swc individually and that solved my problem. Now all the code hinting is working perfectly.

  • Problem in Flash buider 4.5 with PHP

    I am trying to configure return type in flash buider 4.5 and i have always the same error message. Thanks for your help.

    So it turns out I need to overlay the latest SDK into the Flash Builder directory completely, not just the files I was messing with before.
    In flex builder, go to the directory where the SDKs are installed.
    On my system this is
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks
    On a Mac, it might be
    /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.5/sdks
    There should be a 3.6.0, 4.5.0 and a 4.5.1 present.
    Make a copy of the 4.5.1 directory.
    Download the AdobeAIRSDK from
    Windows -  http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/win/download/latest/AdobeAIRSDK.zip
    Mac - not sure what the link is.
    Unzip this file, then overlay the contents into the 4.5.1 directory. There are 8 directories, and 2 files. The target 4.5.1 has 10 directories, and 7 files (on my system)
    In Flash Builder, project properties need to be tweaked.
    The Flex Compiler tab - Check [Use a specific SDK:], and pick Flex 4.5.1 in the dropdown.
    And in the Additional compiler arguments add
    -swf-version=12
    In your code, to use the AEC, pick the Enhanced Microphone, as in
    microphone = Microphone.getEnhancedMicrophone();
    Now if only I could figure out what all the settings do and which one's I need to tweak for our environment... loads of experimenting.

  • Create Project trough enterprise project type with templates does not send notification to team member(email) when published

    Hi All,
    I encountered this issue in my client site when implementing project server 2013.
    At First I thought that this issue occurred intermittently , sometimes project creation (create project from PWA- assign resources with team member -save and publish) trigger email notification to the assigned team member and sometimes not. (new task notification)
    I have checked with our infrastructure team and verify that I use the right SMTP server address and port , and cross check with them for their side configuration (exchange) , we did not find anything wrong on both settings.
    and then we found out that the failed notification email comes from project creation using defined project templates in an enterprise project type, even from a project that consist of template schedule , we added new task on that project and assign a team
    member on that task that resulted with notification sent to the team member, but not with task that comes from templates.
    can someone help us on this issue, or is there any CU on this?

    Yes we did create the template from project professional and as far as i know,
    the only way to create template is just to save it, no option to publish the template.
    When you create a new project from template for some of the task you remove the resources then assign resource to those tasks then save and publish the project.
    <--there are no resources assigned from the template, when i assign resources (new assignment) this will not trigger notification
    Or create a new task under summary task assign resource then save and publish the task you notification sent to the resource means it is working.
    <--new task (not from template ) also trigger the notification

    Hi i have a website which is a gangster MMORPG, it using PHP,
    CSS, HTML and some javascript but however with the amount of game
    similar to mine i want to make it unique so i bought "building
    flash websites for dummies" i have read must of it and understand
    most of it. but however don't really have a clue i it could
    actually work with my website.
    what i want to know is can it work with my current PHP &
    MYSQL, so for example i want to create a logging page with flash to
    replace my old PHP/HTML one this will be my first crack at it. but
    will flash be able to check the MYSQL database and send error
    messages back to the view etc.

  • Debugging 7.1 project fails with exception

    I'm trying to debug a 7.1 project in netbeans 5.5 with plugin 7.1 via Debug Main project. It fails with an ecxeption:
    com.sun.idm.debugger.common.DebuggerNotEnabledException
    I checked the suggestion displayed in the same message box, "please set the system configuration property ServerSettings.C23461 (or default).debugger.enabled=true.
    It was already marked true for the default instance and I tried it using the actual hostname. Both fail actually.
    Does anybody has an idea where to look for a solution?

  • I need help migrating an existing project from Flash Professional CS6 to Flash Builder 4.6.

    I have followed tutorials...instructions on the web...all I get are unsolvable errors.
    I have a large Air application that compiles fine and works in Flash. However I would like to take advantage of the as3xls api which does not work in Flash Professional (for no reason in particular the internet just tells me it won't work because Flash Professional cannot access some part of the Flex framework).
    So I want to make my project work in Flash Builder. However, when I attempt to reference my document class, flash builder gives me an error telling me the package path com.andrewbefus.ModelMapper no longer works. It does this no matter how I select the folder to reference my document class. If I change the path to nothing...Flash Builder is happy with my document class and unhappy with every other class I have made.
    Then I decided to make a new Flash Builder ActionScript file and simply replace the ModelMapper.as document class that Flash Builder created with my completed ModelMapper.as. After some messing around with paths and directories, I got Flash Builder to be happy with my program structure but then all hell broke loose on almost every single Class outside the Flash Builder framework. One by one I attempted to tell Flash Builder where to go to get my components, fl.motion classes, and my custom classes but Flash Builder refused to recognise them unless I reference the folder containing the files, and then proceeded to tell me that the project path of every single class needed to be changed. I imagine if I spend the rest of my day mucking around with this something else will come up.
    I went looking for a tutorial explaining how to migrate a Flash Professional project over to Flash Builder. The closest thing I could come up with told me to just select my fla. file by going Project<Flash Professional<Create project using Fla file... which worked great except refused to compile my project as a desktop application for no sane reason - giving no option to select my project when I attempted to create a new Run Configuration.
    One frustration after another....

  • Flash Builder Errors When Editing a Flash Professional File

    I'm having lots of problems trying to use Flash Builder 4.51 as my code editor from Flash Professional CS5.5. My immediate problem is a constant stream of pop-up "Problem Occurred" dialog boxes in Flash Builder which make it impossible to do any work.
    The message specifics vary a little but the title bar says "Problem Occurred" and inside the dialog box it says '[something] has encountered a problem." The [something] varies but is commonly "Finding occurrences" even though I'm not trying to search for anything at the moment. If I click the Details button the additional info is something like:
    An internal error occurred during: "_imageWidth".
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    Right now, I'm trying to find all references to a specific variable, _imageWidth, so it says:
    '_imageWidth' has encountered a problem.
    An internal error occurred during: "_imageWidth".
    When I click OK the dialog goes away and 0 references are reported but that is wrong. The var does exist and there are references. A few seconds after clicking OK the same error box pops up again. I click OK and a few seconds later it's back. Like I said, it's impossible to get any work done.
    If, instead of searching for references, I do a text search the error is 'Finding occurrences' has encountered a problem. Again, the error dialog pops up incessantly.
    This is in a new Flash Builder 4.51 workspace with only a single project. Here is the procedure I used to create it:
    Create a folder inside my workspace
    Copy Flash Professional .FLA file and its associated ActionScript classes into the project folder; change the Flash Pro publish settings to permit debugging
    Create a new Flash Builder Flash Professional project in that folder, targeting the FLA file
    Create a Debug Configuration targeting an existing HTML file in the folder
    With this procedure I'm able to edit and debug from Flash Builder for a few minutes. But before long an onslaught of popups begins. At that point, there's no way to accomplish any work. Restarting Flash Builder doesn't help either.
    Is there any way to make this work?

    Found a workaround. The dialog is not modal so I just dragged it over to the other monitor and I can ignore it. A new message is added to it every few seconds but I don't pay it any attention.

  • Flash builder 4.6 with Flash CS5.5 mobile work flow

    I have a mobile application built in flash professional. For captive runtime or native extensions i use the command line.
    I now want to start using flash builder, as i hear this is the undisputed better coding environment.
    In flash builder, i created a 'flash professional project' to work on my app with both tools simultaneously.
    I thought flash builder 4.6 would give me options like captive runtime or native extensions without using the command line.
    However i dont see these options at all. When i am using a 'flash professional project' in flash builder, am i essentially just using flash builder as a code editor, and all export settings are still handled in flash IDE ? Meaning i cannot take advantage of captive runtime+ ANEs unless using an 'actionscript mobile project'
    Please advise.
    Also, even if i use it as just a better code editor, i am not finding it better so far.
    syntax highlighting seems poor
    simple things like touch events.
    function parameters or inside the function like e.touchPointID , e.stageX
    none of this is highlighted.
    or as simple as
    ball.x;
    the .x would normally be highlighted, but it is not in flash builder.
    Basically, i am finding as a tool to use with flashIDE as a flash professional project, so far i am seeing no benefits. Please help me to discover what i am missing about this editing environments mobile work flow.
    also when i hit ctrl+s to save my work, it jumps between the two programs... saving the project i suppose? hard to just quickly save as you go in case of crashes and such.

  • StageVideo in Flash Professional

    I'm currently most of the way through creating a very simple iPad app (childrens storybook) that uses large segments of video and interactive buttons/puzzles.
    Currently all of this video is embedded in the timeline and is in flv (on2 vp6), however there are a lot of reccomendations for StageVideo - and the current flvs i'm using don't run that well at all. I'd like to take advantage of the hardware acceleration but I don't really know how to get started with StageVideo, all the tutorials/help online is for flash builder.
    Is there a way to run StageVideo easily in flash professional? and if so can it be synced/interact with the timeline or will I need to switch to using code? The app being mostly animation/video the timeline is much easier to work with than learning to code everything fully - I've been using flash for years but have never strayed outside simple buttons/interactivity and I don't know how complex including StageVideo would be so I'd just like to know if it's something to keep exploring for iOS, it would be nice to have better quality video than the on2 vp6 can provide without lagging.

    Thanks for the help. However there aren't many instructions on that site, and I'm not entirely sure how to use the code. I used an example StageVideo code before, and managed to get it to work, both on the computer and on iOS but the problem is getting it to work with a flash professional project.
    Once i've created a playing file with StageVideo any other control I have seems to have to be done with code - I would like to use the timeline for most of the project but just be able to place StageVideo supported files within this, being able to call a video on a specific frame, adding simple button on the stage over the video etc.
    Is this kind of thing possible with SimpleStageVideo or even with standard StageVideo?

  • Adobe Flash Editor by default opens with Flash Professional CS4 when I have CS5 Installed ?

    How can I change with which Flash Professional to open the fla files in Flash Builder? My Fla files are saved as CS5 version, they open by default with CS5 when I double click them, but still Flash Builder tries to open them with CS4 ??? I couldn't find any simple switch setting for that, anyone ?
    Also is there a quick way to publish a specific fla file in Flash Builder which I want published just once not every time I save, or I have to open it in Flash Professional and publish it from there ?

    Part way through the page, it mentions this:
    To perform testing or debugging in Flash Pro with a file you are editing in Flash Builder 4:
    From the Flash Builder development perspective, choose Run > Test Movie or Run > Debug Movie. Note that each menu item has a Flash Pro icon next to it. Once the SWF window or debug session is closed, focus will return to Flash Builder unless there are compiler errors in frame scripts inside the FLA file associated with the project. Information about all errors is sent to the Errors panel in Flash Builder.
    To publish the FLA file associated with the current project in Flash Builder:
    From the Flash Builder development perspective, choose Project > Publish Movie. Note the Flash Pro icon next to the menu command.
