Debug program lines in smartforms

Dear All ,
How do we debug the statements that we write
in the flow logic ->program lines area of smartforms .
How can we set breakpoints in the program lines area.
I want to debug a particular statement based on the breakpint i choose.
We use SAP R3 ECC 5.

How to use SUBROUTINE in ' PROGRAMMING LINES'code of a smartform

Hi all,
i used a subroutine (PERFORM statement ) in 'Programming Line' node of a smartform .
Then i put the 'FORM ENDFORM ' in 'SUBROUTINES' node of GLOBAL data.
In Programming line i used
PERFORM READ_TEXT using p_id p_lan p_obj.
In SUBROUTINE node of GLOBAL data, i used
FORM READ_TEXT using p_id p_lan p_obj.
ENDFORM.
While executing, my control is going to FORM ENDFORM & i can see the data in the
table T_TDLINE while my control is inside the FORM ENDFORM.
When it comes back to my Programming NODE, there is no data in T_TDLINE table.
can anyone tell me how & where to define this table T_TDLINE so that i can get the data
in in my coding lines after PERFORM statement.

1. Define a table in the Global Definiation > GLOBAL data:
T_TDLINE TYPE TTTEXT.
2. PERFORM READ_TEXT tables T_TDLINE using p_id p_lan p_obj.
3. FORM READ_TEXT table IT_TDLINE type TTTEXT
using p_id p_lan p_obj.
ENDFORM.
Now, you will be able access your data in T_TDLINE.

You can not code
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK.
SELECT-OPTIONS selcrit FOR (name).
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK.
like this in smartform program line it wont allow
all you have to do is create a driver program
for smartform create a selection screen and call smartform by
n pass variables or internal tables.

Smartform programming line different from the function

Hello genius.
I edit a smartform in DEV system. and just add some codes.
after I transport to QA system. the code what i add is in the programming line right.
in QA this smartform create a function /1BCDWB/SF000000123,
but in this function, I found the form with my programming line is not same as the code in programming line.
please get some help.. thanks..

Do not see the Same function Module that the smartform has generated in DEV and QAS , bcz a new FM will be generated for Each client . the FM generated in DEv will be Diff from QA and in ur Print Program use the SSF.FUNCTion... and use the FORM_NAME instead of calling the call function '/bcd/.....'

DEBUG Smartform:
1) One way to debug smartform is to debug the Function Module of that smartforms.
If you want to debug particular smartform node that the solution would be,
insert a "Program Line" just above the node you want to debug and this program line write a normal abap breakpoint.
So whenever you call the smartforms, it will stop at this breakpoint and you can debug onwards.
2) SFTRACE can be used for debugging SMARTFORMS.

Debugging SmartForms
LOGO on Smartform
1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) Use TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

SMARTFORM-> execute->execute->pass values if require to import & table parameters ->execute-> on the pop up window give Printer name as LP01 and press print preview.
For debugging -
1. Write BREAK POINT in the code window.
2. Put a break point on the call function in the driver program
3. Put a break point in the generated Function module.

In the Smartform, within the Code Node you can hardcode a normal abap Break Point ..
Please set a break point in side the smartform:
BREAK <USERNAME>.
Then at the time of print/ preview the program stops there.
Example : If you set the break point in initializationas
BREAK <USERNAME>.
Program stops at break point. After that use Serach and set more break points.
>Search the program logic/Textelement/Address via search and set the break point at that code.
Other way to debug smartform is to debug the Function Module of that smartforms. Smart forms
They are two ways to debug the SAPScript.
1). Use Tools - Word Processing - Layout Set (SE71). Enter name of layout set and then Utilities - Activate Debugger.
It is of no consequence which layoutset you enter when selecting the SAPscript debugger. (Menu path: Tools-Wordprocessing - Forms, Utilities - Activate Debugger) The next layoutset called will invoke the debugger.
2). Another way to set the SAPScript debugger is to run program RSTXDBUG.
When you debug Print program it is same as you debug any other ABAP program.
While when you debug SAPScript, you actually debug the code ( scripting) you have written SAPScript Form.

Change the value of parameter in smartfrom by program lines...!

Hi experts.........!
i want to change the value of parameter 'x1' which i import from program has a value 'ECNC' and want to display in output of smartfrom as 'ECNEC'. how i change it from program lines.
I use program lines to change its value....... use input parameter 'x1' and output paramter 'x1'
and program lines are
IF x1 = 'ECNC'.
x1 = 'ECNEC'.
ENDIF.
and in condition i use
x1 = 'ECNC'
but it doesn't effect output is same as it show the value of x1 = 'ECNC' when i execute the program.
How i change the value of x1 to 'ECNEC'

Have you declared the Variable X1 under Global Definitions ?
please debug the Smartform by the following way.
Goto the generated Function module - > Search for your Variable X1 ( Choose Main program )- > Set Break point
Debugger will be called after giving printing parameter automatically. Check it whether value get changed ( Your Code is working or not ).

How to create an internal table with header line in smartforms

Hello Guys,
I need to append the data in my internal table in smartforms by the problem is an error occurred "a table without header line and therefore no component called tdline"
i already declared the data under types declaration tab
types : begin of ts_tline,
         TDFORMAT type tdformat,
         tdline type tdline,
        end of ts_tline.
types : it_tline type table of ts_tline.
and declare these in global data

my syntax in program lines :

an error occured at this part ****

what is wrong with my code..it cannot append data to xt_tline.

Unable to insert program lines in event sort begin and sort end

Hello friends,
I am developing a smartform where in I have to print subtotal for every currencies. So I am unsing the sort criteria option and giving the WAERS in 'Data' tab of the Table . And I select 'Event on Sort Begin' which creates a node in the tree under the table. And I need to clear the total variable in this event so that for every new currency, the total is reset. But I am unable to create a program lines here. When I right click and under flow logic, only Loop and Command options are available. I am using ECC 6.0 . Kindly help me in achieving the solution.

Hi Sripaleshwar,
I tried that.. I am able to create a program lines when I right click on the table. But it always gets placed outside the table node. When I try to drag it also to under the sort begin event node, it says 'Unable to insert program lines at the selected position'. Basically for my logic to work , it has to execute this program lines when the sort begin event occurs.

Displaying alternate shaded and non shaded lines in smartforms

hi.
I have got a requirement which says we need to display records on smartforms. It should have 50 lines on the page with alternating shaded and non shaded lines. I am using one internal table which contains all the data which is to be displayed. How can I proceed so that even when i have less than 50 records in the internal table it should display all the 50 lines on the form.

1.create a table-->create 2 line types(1 is plain and another one is with shading u cabn give shading by selecting the SHADING and sturation in TABLE TAB of table)...
2.then insert two lines in the MAINAREA of the table by righte clck create table line(for this give line type1), then inset the fields u want . create another table line in the main area but with the line type2.. insetr the the text u want as in first line.
if u run the smartform will get the output with 100 record (supoose u have 50 records) because u r using 2 table lines in the mainarea of the table so each line is printing 2 time one with plain and another is with shaded.
Now we have to avoid this repitation... u have to print the alternate one.... to achive this...
maintain a variable with v_flag type c.
by default v_flag = 'X'.
3.for the firstline in the mainarea of the table CONDITION TAB give the conditon v_flag = 'X'.
for the second gve the condtion v_flag = 'Y'.
now 2 line will trigger if the condition is valid.. our goal is to chage the value in the f_flag alternatively... for this
4. create PROGRAM LINES in the main of the table after the 2 lines..in this chage the value of v_flag. as follows
IF V_FLAG = 'X'.
V_FLAG = 'Y'.
ELSE.
V_FLAG = 'X'.
ENDIF.
now first time plain line will be triggered in the each loop pass and the v_flag value will be chaged in each loop pass so next time shaded line will be triggered. it will be repeated for all the records.
if u run the from now u will get 50 records with alternatinveshaded lines.
i hope the solution is clear.. if not read agin i am sure it works.

If u use templates or table,then use borders to print the horizontal lines.
Eg : Create template-->Table painter->click select pattern button->Display framed pattern->select 3rd one.it will display only horizantal lines.
if want to print horizantal line under the text, then create one paragraph or character formate with Underline in smartstyles.Use that paragraph or character to u r text element

i have re run the APP program DUSR1 same earlier it has run twice but table dose not show double payment to vendors how to resolve the issue.

First, which table are you referring to. If your fist APP run clears the line item, it will no longer be available in the open item.
Please be more specific on the problem so that we can try to help you. If possible, please provide screenshots.

Driver program for a smartform in CRM

How do I find a driver program for a smartform in CRM. The tables like TNAPR and NAST are not available in CRM. Does this mean there is no driver program? All the code has to be written in the smartform itself? Also if there is no driver program, how are the parameters in the form interface getting filled?

How to suppress blank lines in smartforms

Hi all,
 How can we suppress blank lines in smartforms?
In my scenario I am having customer address details in main window.
i.e. Name
 Street
 P O Box
 P O Box Location
 Post Code
 Telephone
 Fax.
Suppose if there is no value for P O Box Location the address is getting displayed as
 Name
 Street
 P O Box
 -> Leaving blank space
 Post Code
 Telephone
 Fax.
But I want it as
 Name
 Street
 P O Box
 Post Code
 Telephone
 Fax.
i.e The blank line should not be displayed.
Kindly let me know how to do this.

Hi Neethu,
Are you using ADDRESS option in smartforms or code to get address from customer master?
If you are using code, you can give condition like P O Box Location <> SPACE in condition tab.
