Debugger variables invisible

My problem is i  cant see the variables here.  Can anyone help me out.
thanks.

Hey Michael,
Thanks for the prompt reply on this.  I checked this out and found that I had a few grouped objects in the header/footer.
After breaking them up I got this:
for the properties of one of them.  There does not seem to be any Tag in the Flow and thus nothing to remove.
Do you have any additional suggestions for me?
Just for completeness I looked at the content of the frame that I took as an example earlier.
It is shown as Running H/F 1, and if I go into Special > Variable ... I see the following definition:
<Default ¶ Font>\r<$attribute[Pubtitle:Pubinfo]>
Does that throw any further light on the issue?
Thanks,
Gunnar

  • Can I use the debugger to identify items on stage?

    Hi all,
    I have an app that uses several Loader objects to load extenral swf files.  Things go well except for one point.  I have a quiz element that's loaded through a loader named 'quiz'.  When the quiz is done, I remove the quiz element with removeChild(quiz).  The quiz disappears from the screen every time except for one question.  I can't identify what's going on differently for that question.  I've debugged this and can see that my quiz object is set to null, but I can plainly see the quiz still onscreen.
    To further confuse me, I use the same loader object multiple times through the app, and just add it and remove it from the display list with addChild and removeChild.  When my one problem question comes up and fails to go away, the app continues to the next question, and I can see that there are now 2 quiz objects stacked on top of each other.  I have no idea how this can happen when I'm using the same loader object for all the questions.
    Anyway, I'm hoping I can use the variables in the debugger to identify what I'm seeing onstage, but am not sure where to start looking.  Are all dispaly objects that are children of the app within the stage in the debugger variables?  The root?  I'm just not sure where to look.  If someone can tell me where to find the display objects on the stage or whatever in the debugger variables, that would be great and I can hopefully troubleshoot it from there.

    here's some code that might help . . . they're really pretty simple.
    Here are the 2 main methods that handles loading and unloading the quiz.
            public function put_question():void{ // BUILD LOADER TO LOAD QUIZ SWF
                quiz = new Loader(); // QUIZ IS A CLASS VARIABLE
                addChild(quiz);
                quiz.load(new URLRequest("quiz.swf"));
            public function quiz_done():void{
                removeChild(quiz);
                ethics_content.nextScene(); // ETHICS_CONTENT IS A CLASS VAR LOADER THAT WAS ADDED TO THE STAGE
    put_question is called from the timeline at the end of an animation.  The method executes and puts the quiz.  The quiz_done method is run when the user selects the right anwser, reads some feedback, then clicks to continue.
    I have 5 scenes before the problem point that use these methods and the work great.  The quiz appears, works fine, then disappears when the quiz_done function is called.  In the last scene, though, the quiz just doesn't disappear when the quiz_done function runs!
    I'm hoping I can find a way to use the debugger to set a break point at the end of the quiz_done method and then go through the display list and see what it is I'm still seeing, as the quiz should be removed from the display list at that point.

  • Missing or invalid version of SQL library PSORA (200,0)

    I am trying to configure App. Server on Vista laptop machine.
    The machine name is VRGhati03.
    It is a logical 3 tier archtecture. Its a EPM 9.0 Install. My database (PFDMO) is all configured and I am able to signon using a User ID VP1 and password VP1. My connect id is people with password of peop1e.
    My access id is SYSADM.
    I have created a user id in Oracle as VP1 and granted him the PSADMIN role .
    When I try to boot up the App. Server it tells me ' Missing or invalid version of SQL Library PSORA' and 'Could not sign on to database PFDMO with user VP1'
    The VP1 sign on works via SQLPLUS.
    I also created a User Account of VP1 and tried to boot the appserver under that id but still no success.
    I have gone thru some of the postings on this topic but they have not helped me. What am I doing wrong?
    Below are the details of the log files, portion of my psappserv.cng file and the system environment variables.
    Can somebody help. Thanks in advance
    Sudhir

  • Get field value in a BADI

    Hi everybody.
    Im implementing a Badi and I would like to get the value that has been filled by the user in the original dynpro. I can´t get this value from exporting and importing structures that are received in the badi.
    I know two ways to get the field:
    - With the FM CALL FUNCTION 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'.
    - With field symbols with the name of the program and the name of the field.
    The problem is that the filed I can get its value is and object text and this two ways doesn´t work.
    Neither I cant get this value with the function READ_TEXT.
    How could I get this value???
    Thanks a lot!!!!

    Come On!!
    yesterday I tried in my system and it worked.
    If you put (SAPLIQS0)LTXTTAB[] in the debugger variable window you can see entries in the internal table. I think you are mistaking while reading the content of the internal table to your internal table.
    And believe me you have the solution.
    Now try this following code in the BADI implementation.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_ltxttab> TYPE tline_t.
    ASSIGN ('(SAPLIQS0)LTXTTAB[]') TO <fs_ltxttab>.
    IF sy-subrc eq 0.
    ENDIF.
    You will have the subject description content you maintained in the notification in <fs_ltxttab>.
    Thanks,

  • Change mode

    hi abapers ,
         i need to change the mode in my report in the debugging mode how should i go about n how  should i see my output
    for the statement below
    CALL TRANSACTION 'MB01'
                USING bdcdata
                MODE display_mode
                UPDATE 'S'
                MESSAGES INTO msgtbl.
    i set the breakpoint in the call transaction in the mode was n i made it display n after which how should i reflect the changes....
    plz help me..

    Hi,
    Double click the display_mode variable and you will see it appear in the debugger variable list. If you are using the old debugger type in the new value and press the pencil icon on the same row.
    If you are using the new debugger, click the pencil first then type in the value followed by enter.

  • Bizzare component behavior

    Hello,
    I have created a custom component called a ChartCell based
    off a tilelist. I have a SuperPanel (from
    http://www.wietseveenstra.nl)
    with a viewstack and a tabbar, with 4 types of ChartCells inside
    (see code below).
    I retrieve data from an external xml file and sort the data
    based on types (in this case, glyph_form_type_id) into each
    ChartCell using the populatePanels function.
    the problem: if I only supply the first ChartCell with data,
    (therefore, commenting out the other addItem methods in
    populatePanels as illustrated below) everything works as expected.
    But if i uncomment any other addItem (eg:
    graphemes.dataProvider.addItem(i);) then a "cannot access a null
    reference" error is thrown in the debugger. What completely baffles
    me is, in the debugger->variables tab, the first chartCell
    (phonemes) has a value of ChartCell, but the others (graphemes,
    allophones, and sources) have a value of null! How can this be
    possible? I've been banging my head over this for hours, please
    help! (and let me know if you need any other information) Thanks in
    advance

  • Undefined relatedObject references

    So I'm trying to do something which I think I should be able to do. I'm using two groups of 3 radio buttons, and calling a function when either group changes. I"m trying to get the function to see the value selected and what radio button group its in, then call an external function (addavalue) to send off a value pair to be saved. The first value is to be the radiobuttongroup name with the text "_write" tacked on the end, followed by the word "enabled" as the second pair.
    My problem has nothing  to do with the external function call or the value pair but that i can't seem to reference the relatedObject class. I get the following compiler errors.
    "Access of possibly undefined property index through a reference with a static type flash.events:Event." (POinting to the if statement in my radioChange function).
    "Access of a possibily undefined property relatedObject through a reference with a static type flash.events:Event. (Pointing to the code in the if statement).
    According to the debugger variable list, the values are there???
    Any ideas?

       <mx:RadioButton groupName="device_cfg" label="Write" value="w" />
       <mx:RadioButton groupName="device_cfg" label="Read/Write" value="rw" />

       <mx:RadioButton groupName="console_cfg" label="Read/Write" value="rw" />
      </mx:HBox>

    You got me close and on the right track! Thanks!  It wasn't actually a MouseEvent, but an ItemClickEvent that i didn't type or import.
    Thanks!

  • Can't change string variable values in Flash CS4 Debugger

    I'm using the Flash CS4 debugger, and while I can change numeric variable values in the Variables panel, I can't change string variable values. The only characters the fields accept are the numbers 1-9 and the characters "d" and "j".
    I can  paste strings  into the value fields, but that's a bit of a pain. I've tried this on a couple of different Flash CS4 installations and get the same results.
    Does anyone know if it's possible to change string values in the Variables panel of the Flash CS4 Debugger?

  • Hover over variable tooltip not working in debugger?

    We recently upgraded to Sun Studio 12 and the debugger seems to have a problem. We used to be able to hover over a variable with the mouse (i.e. tooltip) and inspect the variable value. This no longer works reliably. Has anyone seen this? Is there a fix? We have Sun Studio 20070501, SunOS version 5.10 on sparc, Java 1.6.0_03 and netbeans-5.5.1.
    Thanks for your help.

    As far as I remember, there used to be several different problems with tooltips. We can try to identify type of problem you are having or we can skip it and go to the solution available right now - download latest Sun Studio Express and see if it resolves that problem.
    If you need production-quality compilers, you can still use Sun Studio 12 to generate code and Sun Studio Express to debug. It is perfectly all right to have several versions of Sun Studio installed on one machine, just you different base directories.

  • To view package variables in Forms 6i debugger

    Can anyone tell me how to view the value of the variables declared in the package spec(from forms side)? i can see only the local variables and global variables(declared using :GLOBAL) in the debugger window.

    In the 6i Debugger the visible Package variables are restricted to the Variables defined in the package body and these are only visible whilst you are instanciating the package for the first time - e.g. running through the anonymous block that you can have at the bottom of the package Definition.
    Otherwise they are invisble. Variables defined within Program units inside the Package are of course visble.
    The new Debugger in Forms 9i has fixed this problem and you can always view (and watch!) Variables defined both in the package Spec and Body.

    Starting with SAP NetWeaver 6.40, SAP released a new version of the Debugger.
    The Debugger available in Release 6.40 was not considered complete (and was
    not the default debugger as a result)
    The Variable Fast Display tool currently has four tabs . The first
    two are provided empty, and you can either type or double click a name in the
    source code to add it to the list. The third tab (Locals) shows all local variables
    for the current program modularization unit, and the fourth (Globals) shows all
    global variables in the current program.
