Decimal place in dynamic table

Hi All,
I have created a dynamic table with selected fields.
Copied data from one internal table to dynmic table. For  DEC type data I am getting only integer part no decimal part, where as for CURR it is showing full (inclding decimal)
How to solve this problem.
I am using lvc_t_fcat
for RFMNG form vbap.
in lvc_t_fcat it is showing  intlen = 5 and datatype = DEC  inttype  = P.
But the data transfering only interger part.
-- Field catalog with the fields the user selected, used as input

    EXPORTING
      it_fieldcatalog = t_alv_cat[]
    IMPORTING
      ep_table        = t_new_table.
*-- Create ref to the newly generated table <fs_table>
*-- Plus a new Line with the same structure as the table.
  ASSIGN t_new_table->* TO <fs_table>.
  IF <fs_table> IS ASSIGNED.
CREATE DATA w_new_line LIKE LINE OF <fs_table>.
    ASSIGN w_new_line->* TO <fs_line>.
  ENDIF.
CREATE DATA w_new_line_ori LIKE LINE OF t_datatable.
  ASSIGN w_new_line_ori->* TO <fs_line_ori>.
  LOOP AT t_datatable ASSIGNING <fs_line_ori>.
    MOVE-CORRESPONDING <fs_line_ori> TO <fs_line>.
    APPEND <fs_line> TO <fs_table>.
  ENDLOOP.
Advance Thanks

Hi vijay,
Thank you. It helped me.
So, to create dynamic table , the following fields are enough?.
Ref_field
ref_table
decimals
fieldname
datatype
inttype
intlen

  • Decimal Places in Pivot table

    Hi Gurus,
When I create a pivot table with a measure and I choose "Show Data as ...
percent of something (for example section) I get the result with 1 Decimal Place.
How to modify it for 2 or more Decimal Places?
    Thanks
    Laszlo

    Hi Laszlo!
We have found and discussed the answer already, but to more people can see it I write it.
When You have the results already, You can use the 'Advanced' page to see the XML source. There you can modify the code carefully. Change the section:
    <saw:dataFormat xsi:type="saw:percent" minDigits="2" maxDigits="2" scale="2"/>
Change maxDigits to the number of decimal digits You wanted.
Although we found the answer on the course, I found later this page - also could help:

  • Changing Decimal Places for Currencies (Table V_TCURX)

    The instance is ECC 6.0
We need to change the decimal places for a currency from 0 to 2 decimal places. Is there any impacts of doing that?
Also need to add some currencies which are not in the table. Is there anything need to be careful while doing this. If this table is updated, do we need to update any other tables also which may be impacted?

    Hi,
It is not recommended that when postings have already been made, that a change in the currency be done, as amounts posted can become invalid or incorrect as a result (ie USD 100->1.00), which is most critical in production environment Please go through the note 137626 When you made changes via OY04, the effect of which is across all clients.
To change the number of decimal places for a currency already in use, you must convert all the tables in the R/3 System that contain currency fields, so that the data integrity remains. This cannot, however, for both organizational reasons and under the runtime aspect, in a productive system.
You must never change decimal places in a productive system if you have documents posted with this currency. Such a change could lead to inconsistencies in these documents already posted.
In case you really decide to use decimals you may consider to use SAP conversion services for them to convert all documents aready posted as explained in note 434349.

  • Round float to 2 decimal place in the table

    Hi,
One field in a table in my DB has float datatype.
I insert some data into this table. The value read from a textbox I input as 0.02 for example. after insertion, I select the table and the field of the table shows the number as 0.0199999995529652
Where did I do a wrong thing? how can I make it exactly as 0.02 in the table?
    Thanks.

    Hi there
Float data types have known problems with precision, see
    here
Since FLOAT and REAL are approximate numbers, you can run into all kinds of presentation / storage issues if you use them inadvertently.
They have their place, and if you are using scientific data that requires the properties of floating point numbers, th they are the right choice.  But in most cases, I think this is another evolutionary thing that happens accidentally when you upsize
from Access.  You are much better off using DECIMAL or NUMERIC (which are functionally equivalent) unless you really know that you should be using FLOAT.
You should consider changing the datatype to decimal or numeric if you need it to be more precise.

  • Changing Decimal places in table TCURX

    Hi There
We have a business requirement to change the decimal places in table TCURX from 3 Decimals to 5 Decimal places. No previous postings have been made in foreign currencies.
If no transaction data has been posted in foreign currencies yet, will this have an impact?
    What will the impact be?
    Regards

    Hi,
    Refer to this SAP text:
In the R/3 System tables currency fields are stored as decimal figures with a variable number of decimal places. The decimal point is not stored in the field in the database. Instead, each currency field refers to a currency key field. In this transaction you assign the number of decimal places to this currency key uniquely. Example: If you have set currency USD to have two decimal places and you post an amount of 100 USD, an amount of 10000 USD is stored in the currency field in the database. Not until this
amount is processed further or is output does the system use the currency key from the reference field to determine the number of decimal places via this table. In this way the table content can be interpreted correctly for further processing or formatted for output with the correct punctuation. If after posting you changed the number of decimal places for USD, for example, to 3, the existing field content of 10000 would be interpreted for futher processing or output as 10 USD (10.000). This would mean that the contents of tables across the system would, for all currency fields containing an amount in USD,
be interpreted incorrectly by 10 per cent. To change the number of decimal places for a currency already in use, you must convert all the tables in the R/3 System that contain currency fields, so that the data integrity remains. This cannot, however, for both organizational reasons and under the runtime
aspect be carried out in a productive system. The following changes to the TCURX table can
thus lead to the loss of data integrity if you make the changes in a productive system or transport them into a productive system:
o Change to the number of decimal places of an existing currency
o Deletion of an entry from the TCURX table (corresponds to changing the decimal places to the standard value of two decimal places)
o Insertion of an entry in the TCURX (corresponds to changing the standard value of
2 decimal places to a different value), if this is a currency code that already exists
Uncritical changes are any made to this table during the Customizing of a new installation or the insertion of TCURX even during operations, if the currency codes have just been entered in the TCURC table using transaction OY03, signifying that no postings to these currency codes can have been carried out yet.

  • Change the decimal places of a field in screen table control

    HI ,
I have a MENGE field having data element as , BSTMG (decimals 3 ).
This field MENGE , I have used in a table control. The value in this field is filled from a custom Z-table where the same data element BSTMG is used. So , for eq.) value in MENGE field is shown as 6.010
But the requirement is that the value should be displayed as only 2 decemals i.e.)   6.01
I dont want to change the domain of the field in the Z-table , to 2 decimal places , because the table is used in other developments also , so it will give a dump there which I have to correct in other developments also.
So , is there any way to change the decimal places of a field in screen table control , without changing the domain , in the table from where the value is fetched... ????
    Edited by: abhijeet_7013 on Feb 14, 2011 3:18 PM

Hi, create a structure in local program with same field names and change the TYPE with some 2 decimal domain of MENGE. Populate this local stucture and use it in TABLE CONTROL.
    Hope this helps...
    Cheers

  • Table values to have more decimal places

    Dear Experts,
In one of the LIS table S022 , the value is updating up to one decinal place only. We want this value to have atleast 2 or 3 decimal places . How to make it effective.

    Hi
As u have not mentioned for which field the value is updating with 1 decimal its difficult to say but I assume it is related to time. As per the field attributes in the table structure for S022 for all time and capacity related fields the decimal places defined as 1 only hence the data is updating with 1 decimal place.
U can check this in SE11 by entering S022 in the fields tab.
In order to increase the decimal places in table u need the Help of ABAPer with Access key

  • Changing Node Attributes to drop decimal places on MI 7.1 table UI Element

I have been struggling with finding a way of dropping three decimal places on a QUAN data type for a Node attribute, so that the value can be displayed as an integer instead of with three decimal places displaying when outputted within the table UI element within our MI 7.1 Mobile Client application.
I have adjusted the column width, which is not ideally what I am trying to achieve.  The decimal places for the value are not required and should therefore not be displayed and take-up additional space on the table template view.
Does anyone know a slick way to remove the decimal places for a data object that is outputted to a table UI element within the NWDS java application?
If the above is not possible, what is the best approach for making a change to a data object node structure of the SWCV?  Can the node attribute for the  Decimal value be changed directly, or are there other things that should be considered when making a change to a node attribute of the data object?
I appreciate any advice in this area.
    Kind regards,
    Rose Orovec

    Hi
Try to create your own value attribute ( with out decimals)  in the node and pass the actual value to this
and finally show your value attribute( as a field ) on the screen
    Hope this works....

  • Decimal places adjustment based on company code or currency

    Hi experts,
my requirement is i have to adjust the decimal places in amount fields of internal table based on company code or currency given by user.
suppose for example in my internal tables having 5 amount fields like 1.50 1.234 1.45 1.34, 1.67  for  company code is in01
the same values for VN01 should be like this
    150 1234 145 134  167  ....
can any body plz tell me any functional module is there to covert or abapcode?
    Thanks in advance,
    veena.

That code is a bad idea.  Why would you hard-code that type of action for currency/amount handling?
@poster: If the output is based on the local currency defined for the specified company code or one specified by the user, then use it.  SAP handles amount output automatically with a currency specification because the currency definition identifies where/how the decimal is output.
Just use WRITE as Florian indicated but  use the CURRENCY extension instead of DECIMALS.  You can do this dynamically based on the company code easily...
A simple 3 line program shows you how this works:
    PARAMETERS: p_wrbtr type wrbtr.
    write:/ p_wrbtr CURRENCY 'USD'.
    write:/ p_wrbtr CURRENCY 'JPY'.

  • Quantity column display upto 2 decimal places in ALV

I've created an ALV for dynamic columns. For this i've first created the fieldcatalog and then the internal table.
The problem that i'm facing in this is that the user wants the quantity column to be displayed upto 2 decimals. For this i tried the following:
    1.)     wa_fldcat-decimals_o = '2'
             wa_fldcat-decimals    = '3'.
             wa_fldcat-datatype     = 'QUAN'.
with this i tried that let the calculation be to 3 decimal places but on output it should show 2 decimal places.
But this doesnot gets reflected on ALV. It still shows 3 decimal places.
    eg:  3 decimal places: 16.667 + 16.667 + 66.667 = 100.001
    2.)     wa_fldcat-decimals_o = '2'
             wa_fldcat-decimals    = '2'.
             wa_fldcat-datatype     = 'CURR'.
I also tried doing the calculation with 2 decimal places with datatype CURR but with this the last digit gets rounded.
    eg:  2 decimal places:  16.67  + 16.67   + 66.67   = 100.01
Now we are taking total as 100 %. So tha calculative total cannot be more than 100.
On seeing 100.001 user says show it to me to 2 decimal places  i.e. 100.00
On seeing 100.01 user says  how can the total be more than 100 & this is .01 more than 100.
Therefore how can the 1.) option be achieved.
    PLZ HELP!

    Hi,
    Can u check this one
    DATA: gv_packed TYPE p DECIMALS 2.
    CATCH SYSTEM-EXCEPTIONS conversion_errors = 6.
    MOVE char_field TO gv_packed.
    ENDCATCH.
    IF sy-subrc = 6.
    error handling
    ENDIF
Try to move ur char field to a type p field. If char field is other than numeric then u will get error that can be handled in try...chatch..endtry block.
    data: l_val type p decimals 2.
    parameter my_val type char20.
    try .
    l_val = my_val.
    catch cx_root.
    Do ur error handling here
    endtry.
you can work with search and concatenate.
    value1 = 3601152
    search value1 for '.' .
    if sy-subrc eq 0.
    concatenate value1(5) '.' value1(2)+5 into text.
    Or value1 = value1 / 100.
    endif.
    Thanks.

  • Sum of Values from previous rows in a dynamic table

    Hello,
I have a dynamic table has multiple rows (added dynamically via a button).  One column in the table is a Quantity column.  Another is a Total column.  We do not want to keep a running total, but only wish to display a total when the rest of the cells in that row are emty and the previous row(s) has/have values in the Quantity column.  The Total is the sum on the Quatnities up to a blank row.  Below is a sample.  How do I get teh value of the Quantities in the previous rows?
    Quantity
    Total
    5
    8
    12
    25
    7
    27
    34
    22
    22
Another option might be to put the Total in the last row with data as opposed to the row below the data.
    Any ideas?

  • DIsplaying WRBTR (AMOUNT FIELD)WITHOUT  DECIMAL PLACES

    Dear all,
I am facing a problem in displaying amount field  in alv report. I have two currency keys (US dollar and Japan yen). if it is japan yen I should not have to show decimal places and if it is US dollar I should show decimal places.
How can I do it in a alv report if I have only one output amount field?
    thanks
