Decimal Places in Arabic Currency

Hi,
I have created an ADOBE FORM to display some currency values. Before display I am converting it to Arabic from within the program.
When I do that the currency decimal notation is getting disturbed e.g. it is displayed like this ٢٥٬٠٠٠
If you see ',' is inverted. Anyone knows how to show it as ','?
Thanks,

Any idea???

  • Decimal places for JPY currency in change documents

    Hi Gurus,
For opportunities in SAP GUI the change documents for JPY show incorrect numbers.
The number is divided by 100 (two decimal places added).
Checked the CDPOS table and found the values already divided (two decimal places added).
SPRO->General Settings->Currencies->Set decimal places for currencies is set for 0 decimals for JPY.
Is there any way I can get correct values in the change documents?
Please advice. Any hint is useful.
    Thx,
    Martin Kuma

    Hi Naren,
Thank you for the tip, however the TCURX table is changed via customizing and should be changed only during the system initialization.
What I would like to do, is to assure that the system displays the values in change documents correctly. It should apply the currency conversion for the data displayed the same way it does for all the tables.
Do you have any idea, how should I do this?

  • Changing the Decimal places in the currency

    Hi all
we are using the currecy SAR. Decimal places was set to 4, now that they want to revert back to 2 decimal places. i understand that by doing so they would be inconsistencies in the data allready recorded. how to avoid that?
is there any programmes / reports that would fix such inconsistencies?
    any OSS notes?
    thanks and regards
    gkk

    HI,
You should NOT change the decimal places in a productive system.
If you would do, the correction of the posted documents afterwards would be a remote consulting issue. Which you have to pay for SAP.
You see, all posting you have done until now, would get displayed in a wrong way, and the new posting wouldn't compare to the others.
Please check the note 137626 describes this.
If you really need to change the decimals, you should create a new currency type, for example your current is SAR, and now you should create a SA2. Then you should enter new rations and exchange rates for it, and work with the new one.
Also if you want to set the decimals to two digits from four, youshould not enter an entry in the OY04(TCURX).
In this table you can only enter a value, that discriminate from 2 decimals. If there is no entry in the table, it means the currency has two decimals.
Please assign points if it useful.

  • Decimal places in quantity depending on currency

    hi
i m doing an alv list display in which i need to display a quantity field with 3 decimal places for some currencies, but for one particular currency such as 'AED'
that field should display only 2 decimal places in the output.

    Hi Zarina,
Populate decimals_out with 2 for this field while building the fieldcatalog.
      g_t_fieldcat-decimals_out = 2.
Note: don't declare the field as currency which will overwrite above setting.
    i.e., don't use g_t_fieldcat-cfieldname in this case.
    ==============================================
      g_t_fieldcat-seltext_s =  'USD Equi'.
      g_t_fieldcat-seltext_m =  'USD Equi'.
      g_t_fieldcat-seltext_l =  'USD Equivalent'.
    g_t_fieldcat-cfieldname = ' '.
      <b>g_t_fieldcat-decimals_out = 2.</b>
      g_t_fieldcat-just      =  'R'.
      modify g_t_fieldcat index zindx.

    Hope this helps you.

  • Decimal Places in Currencies

    Dear gurus,
What is the decimal places in currencied?
how it works in table tcurx.
    Regards
    R.Rajendran

    Hello,
During operation, you must neither delete currencies used nor change their definition of decimal places. Amounts in posted documents could become invalid or incorrect as a result.
You cannot subsequently use R/3 standard functions to make a consistent change to the number of decimal places of a currency in the R/3 system that is already operatively used because the system interprets all amount values on the database according to the number of decimal places of the reference currency that is stored in the system.

  • Download reported data in Tunisian currency (three decimal places)

    Dear all,
if I use the download of reported data functionalety in EC-CS (TC cx3d1) and the file format is .txt, the system can not handle the three decimal places of tunesian currency and moves the comma one digit to the left side. The values are multiplied with 10 right now.
Do I need to change the settings somewhere or is that a known problem?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Andrea Reinecke

    Hello,
many thanks for the quick answer. Maybe I need to specify the problem a little bit: The Tunisian currency has been set to three decimal places. The databaselist shows the values correctly, e.g. 5000,000.
If I use transaction cx3d1 to download the values, the system converts this value into a textfile. The problem is, that the values is not 5000,00 any longer, instead of 50000. That means, everything is multiplied with 10 and the decimal places are away.
Do you know that problem? We have it only with the tunisian dinar, but not with the Hungarian currency, which has as well three decimal places.
Best regards and many thanks in advance,
    Andrea Reinecke

  • Decimal Places for Currencies

Impact on the processes of change at MM decimals for Currencies.
We want to use foreign currency to 6 decimals anand two decimal places for the currency of society

    Dear José Luis Flores ,
Please always make sure your business process not reach the limitation of overflow during
the conversion as the Price it is always with 11 characters with 2 Decimal place (9,2) in standard.
    All together 13 characters.
If this limitation was reached, you will received the dump message. This is normal and you had to
make sure it suits your business requirement in the beginning to avoid any changes later . You
had to plan it before do this type of customizing in very beginning.

  • Asian (JPY) currency Decimal Places Issue

    HI All,
Need your help, we have a program which creates a BDC session and when the user tries to process it it throws an errror for amount in asian currencies like JPY - no decimal places allowed for currency, in the background it calls the FBB1 transaction.
The original amount is in USD however after conversion when we store it back to amount field which is of type
"glpct-tslvt"  it stores the amount in JPY currency with decimal places so for example :
    USD amount  = 93,214. 00
    JPY amount = 115,021. 86
guess the amount is stored with decimals in BSEG table, so now when we try to process the session with the JPY amount with decimals it throws an error.
    I have tried the
    CALL FUNCTION 'CURRENCY_AMOUNT_SAP_TO_DISPLAY'
    and
    CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_CURRENCY_GETDECIMALS'
it gives me the correct value for amount so for above example  JPY amount = 115,021. 86 by using the mentioned two methods i am able to get the currency in this format  11502186.00 but still has two decimal places, i think it still will not work when we process the session for FBB1.
Need your help people, appreciate your co-operation.

sorry to revive an old thread...but we are having an issue with JPY in our electronic bank statements.
the BAI format for our JPY account has for example 900 yen which according to our finance department is really 9 yen. the bank claims this is a known issue and the BAI format documentation seems to be confirming the bank's position in that the decimals are implied according to the currency code (whatever that means in SAP terms is a bit foggy to us).....
currently we wrote a custom code to suppress the last two zeros (when they are zeros) but i feel this error is caused either by a wrong setting in our currency or translation tables in SAP or something else since our feeling is that this should work right out of the box without any custom programming...any ideas???...where we shoudl start looking in our currency config....does the 100:1 or 1:1 translation ratio between JPY/USD make any difference...should we try and use a function module to convert the currency ...any ideas or hints are welcome
    thanks

  • Changing Decimal Places for Currencies (Table V_TCURX)

    The instance is ECC 6.0
We need to change the decimal places for a currency from 0 to 2 decimal places. Is there any impacts of doing that?
Also need to add some currencies which are not in the table. Is there anything need to be careful while doing this. If this table is updated, do we need to update any other tables also which may be impacted?

    Hi,
It is not recommended that when postings have already been made, that a change in the currency be done, as amounts posted can become invalid or incorrect as a result (ie USD 100->1.00), which is most critical in production environment Please go through the note 137626 When you made changes via OY04, the effect of which is across all clients.
To change the number of decimal places for a currency already in use, you must convert all the tables in the R/3 System that contain currency fields, so that the data integrity remains. This cannot, however, for both organizational reasons and under the runtime aspect, in a productive system.
You must never change decimal places in a productive system if you have documents posted with this currency. Such a change could lead to inconsistencies in these documents already posted.
In case you really decide to use decimals you may consider to use SAP conversion services for them to convert all documents aready posted as explained in note 434349.

  • Decimal places

Decimal places are defined in the general settings.
They are currently set to 2 decimal places.
We have the required for 5 customers to be priced and invoiced at 3 decimal places.
    Is this possible?

    Hi Lisa,
Please also notice the following information
When you tick the option: Rounding By: Currency from the Administration-System Initialisation-Document Setting window.
You could assign different rounding /decimal place per different currency

  • Decimal Places in Hyperion Enterprise

Since upgrading to Hyperion Enterprise 6.5.1, we have lost the ability to see any values beyond the decimal point. I can go to View and select decimal places, but it used to appear in the bottom right corner of the Data Entry screen as Value: 7195.1548869 now all I get is Value:7195
Does anyone know how to get that Value to show all the decimal places?

  • Changing Decimal places in table TCURX

    Hi There
We have a business requirement to change the decimal places in table TCURX from 3 Decimals to 5 Decimal places. No previous postings have been made in foreign currencies.
If no transaction data has been posted in foreign currencies yet, will this have an impact?
    What will the impact be?
    Regards

    Hi,
    Refer to this SAP text:
In the R/3 System tables currency fields are stored as decimal figures with a variable number of decimal places. The decimal point is not stored in the field in the database. Instead, each currency field refers to a currency key field. In this transaction you assign the number of decimal places to this currency key uniquely. Example: If you have set currency USD to have two decimal places and you post an amount of 100 USD, an amount of 10000 USD is stored in the currency field in the database. Not until this
amount is processed further or is output does the system use the currency key from the reference field to determine the number of decimal places via this table. In this way the table content can be interpreted correctly for further processing or formatted for output with the correct punctuation. If after posting you changed the number of decimal places for USD, for example, to 3, the existing field content of 10000 would be interpreted for futher processing or output as 10 USD (10.000). This would mean that the contents of tables across the system would, for all currency fields containing an amount in USD,
be interpreted incorrectly by 10 per cent. To change the number of decimal places for a currency already in use, you must convert all the tables in the R/3 System that contain currency fields, so that the data integrity remains. This cannot, however, for both organizational reasons and under the runtime
aspect be carried out in a productive system. The following changes to the TCURX table can
thus lead to the loss of data integrity if you make the changes in a productive system or transport them into a productive system:
o Change to the number of decimal places of an existing currency
o Deletion of an entry from the TCURX table (corresponds to changing the decimal places to the standard value of two decimal places)
o Insertion of an entry in the TCURX (corresponds to changing the standard value of
2 decimal places to a different value), if this is a currency code that already exists
Uncritical changes are any made to this table during the Customizing of a new installation or the insertion of TCURX even during operations, if the currency codes have just been entered in the TCURC table using transaction OY03, signifying that no postings to these currency codes can have been carried out yet.
    Regards,
    Eli
