Default Connection Factory

The Given Default connection Factory is not working in my MDB.The provided Default is MyJMS Connection Factory under services-jms-connection Factories. if i will give new name then it is working. why default one is not working.

1 - Normally an MDB need not configure a connection factory
unless it is driven by a non-WebLogic JMS provider.
2 - There is no default connection factory called "MyJMS
Connection Factory". Default connection factories can't be configured.
3 - If this doesn't help, please post the full exception and
          relevent log messages...

  • Change the weblogic default jms connection factory

    Hello!
Is possible to change the JMS Default Connection Factory (weblogic.jms.ConnectionFactory) in Weblogic?
It doesn't appears on Admin console. Is possible to access it through WLST? I can 't find it on MBean tree (domain an server config).
I want to change some Flow Control settings. I know I can create a new Connection Factory, but I don't want to change my application code uses teh default CF jndi name.
    regards.

There's no way to change the default connection factory tuning. If you need to tune a CF setting for an app that's using a default CF, then tuning is accomplished using the steps you mentioned: (A) configuring a custom connection factory, and (B) changing apps that need specialized tuning to refer to the JNDI name of the custom connection factory.
It's often helpful to use "Foreign JMS" to enable changing an app's CF without changing the app. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e13727/interop.htm#i1009775

  • Failed to lookup connection factory weblogic.jms.XAConnectionFactory

when i deploy any service with jms protocol (write to queue) using sbconsole i face this error
"Failed to lookup connection factory weblogic.jms.XAConnectionFactory"
    any suggestion?
    Thanks

weblogic.jms.XAConnectionFactory is the default XA connection factory class. You wont see this in any JMS modules in Weblogic server. It should be available by default.
Can you once check the JNDI tree of your servers if this JNDI name exists. (in Weblogic Administration console go to Servers, click on any server and there will be a link for JNDI tree on the server's page)
Also, try creating a new connection factory in Weblogic console and using that in your service. Although it is highly unlikely that a new connection factory will work since all custom XA connection factories are dependent on the default connection factory class you mentioned.

  • JMS Default connection factories

              Hi
I have a evaluation version of Weblogic Server 7. When I start the examples server
there are no default connection factories under JMS. The default connection factory
is enabled. How can I view the default connection factory to use with the given
              examples?
              Thanks

              Hi
You can look them up in the server's JNDI tree.
In console, you can goto server (myserver) and click on the "View JNDI tree"
link at the bottom, to get the JNDI tree, where you can find the default connection
              factories.

  • Problem with transacted JMS connection factory and transaction timeouts

We encountered an interesting problem using transacted JMS connection factories.
An EJB starts a container managed transaction and tries to validate a credit card
before creating some information to a database for the user, in case of success
an SMS is sent to the user via the transacted JMS queue. If the credit card authentications
duration is about the same as the transactions timeout (in this case the default
30 seconds) sometimes the database inserts is committed but the JMS insert is
              rollbacked. How can this be?
If the authorization duration is much longer than 30 seconds everything works
fine (both database and JMS inserts rollbacked), the same is true if a rollback
is insured by calling EJBContext.setRollbackOnly(). The problem thus occurs only
if the duration is approximately the same as the transaction timeout, it appears
that the database insert is not timeouted but the JMS insert is. How can this
be if they are both participating in the same transaction.
The JMSConnectionFactory used is a Connection factory with XA-enabled. The result
is the same also with the default "javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory" and if we
configure our own factory with user transactions enabled.
              Any help appreciated!

              It should not be.

Make sure that your session is not "transacted". In other words,
the first parameter to createSession() must be false. There is an
unfortunate name re-use here. If a session is "transacted", it
maintains an independent "inner transaction" independent of the
outer transaction. From the above description, it seems unlikely
that your application has this wrong, as you say that
"setRollbackOnly" works - but please check anyway.
Make sure that you are using a true XA capable driver and database
              (XA "emulation" may not suffice)
Beyond the above, I do not see what can be going wrong. You
may want to try posting to the transactions and jdbc newsgroups. Note
that JMS is appears to be exhibiting the correct behavior, but the
JDBC operation is not. The JDBC operation appears to have
its timeout independent of the transaction monitor's timeout.

    Greetings,
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException. Root exception is
    org.omg.CosNaming.NamingContextPackage.NotFound
    =================
Below is the line of my LoginServlet class which is
referred to in the stack trace - Object object =
    context.lookup
( "java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk" );The root of the naming context is 'java:comp/env' and this is where lookup automatically begins for EJBs and resources. IOW, by specifying "java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk" as the EJB lookup name the server is actually treating this as "java:comp/env/java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk". Specify only the ejb context ("ejb/WarehouseClerk") in your lookup and you should be fine.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    SeanRegards,
    Tony "Vee Schade" Cook

I don't get it, whats happening ? why does the adapter care what i am running inside a custom sql step. all it is supposed to do is execute the sql and return the values. Why is it forcing me to rewrite the operation which was working before ?

well as always...nothing works like restart of the server. Issue resolved.

  • A stale Connection Factory or Connection Handle may be used in SOA 11g

    Hi all,
I am working on a outbound process from oracle apps to BPEL. I am using SOA 11.1.1.3 version. I have created connection pool in admin server.
But BPEL does not pick the messages from ecx_outqueue present in apps.
Also when i update the Aqadapter in the admin server i get the following message
    Selected Deployments were updated.
You must also activate the pending changes to commit this, and other updates, to the active system.

Can anyone provide some inputs on this?

    Hi Anuj,
I have followed the following steps mentioned in the metalink ID 1235943.1 but still it is throwing the same error.
1.Log on to your Admin console and navigate to Domain -> Deployments -> <adapter name> -> Configuration Tab -> Outbound Connection Pools Tab -> Under Groups and Instances expand the javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
2.Locate and select the adapter JNDI and click on the Connection Pool Tab.
3.Please check to see if Shrinking is enabled. If not, please enable it.
4.Please check the value for Shrink Frequency Seconds. The default for some connection pools is as high as 900 seconds. Please reset this to 120 seconds or less.
    5.Activate your changes.
6.If this does not improve the situation, please also try increasing the max size of your connection pool.
Please advice if any other solution is there.
    Thanks,
    Dhiraj Mishra

  • HT5569 How do I set iphone back to default or factory setting?

How do I set iphone back to default or factory setting?

There's some confusion here. Do you mean the code to visit settings/general/restrictions, or the Apple ID and password to deactivate Activation Lock? Here's how to test.
First, go to settings/General/Restrictions. Do you need to enter a 4 digit code? If you do, then connect the phone to your computer and restore the phone from Recovery Mode as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.
If no code is required to get into Restrictions what you need is the Apple ID and passcode that was used to set Find my iPhone. To verify that this is what is needed go to Settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone. You will be prompted for your Apple ID and passcode. If you don't have them your phone is permanently disabled. You can contact Apple Account Security to prove you are the owner of the Apple ID and get the password reset. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

    deploy_jms_resource d:\jay\jms-factories.xml
Anybody have any ideas?  At the top of the stack trace it mentions Class loading error but it is not the InitialContextFactoryImpl that is causing the problem because if I enter a totally bogus class name I get a nice ClassNotFound exception.

  • Trying to look up a JMS Connection Factory in WebLogic 10.3.3

Actually I'm just trying to get started with JMS and the new version of B2B integrated into weblogic. I can't even get the lookup to the connection factory to work.
    Properties env = new Properties( );
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "weblogic");
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "xxxxxx");
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
    "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
    env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,
    "t3://realHostName:7001");
    InitialContext jndi = new InitialContext(env);
    ConnectionFactory conFactory =
    (ConnectionFactory)jndi.lookup("jms/b2b/B2BQueueConnectionFactory");
I am looking at the what I think is the connection factory jndi name. I'm looking at the settings for the SOAJMSModule and I see in the table the following information:
    Name: B2BQueueConnectionFactory
    Type:Connection Factory
    JNDI: jms/b2b/B2BQueueConnectionFactory
    Sub Deployment: Default Targetting
    Targets: soa_server1
Do I need to use the sub deployment somehow maybe? Is the JNDI name somewhere else?
I keep getting: "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Exception in lookup.: `jms/b2b/B2BQueueConnectionFactory' could not be found."
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
As u have targeted the ConnectionFactory to "soa_server1" which is running on "realHostName:7001" ....Can u please check from the AdminConsole that the JNDI name ""jms/b2b/B2BQueueConnectionFactory" is present in the JNDI Tree?
AdminConsole---->Servers---soa_server1 (click) ---> in this general configuration page you will see a link "View JNDI Tree" please ckick on that link to see the JNDI tree entries.
If you dont see any JNDI entry there then it means there is something wrong while setting up the Connection Factory in that case please refer to the Screenshots of Creating and Targeting the Connection Factory: *http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=1987*
    Thanks

  • XA Connection Factory

Not sure if this should be posted here or in the "Management" topic:
It seems that when creating a connection factory (and accepting all default values),
setting the "XAConnection Factory Enabled" checkbox results in an exception (see
              attached error.txt).
ONLY, if the following order is followed, will the setting of this value succeed:

              3) settting "XAConnection Factory Enabled" checked

  • Problem in datasource and connection factory.

I am using a connection factory to make connections to the database.
First I create a connection pool then i created a datasource and finally i used the JNDI Location name which i used inside the BPEL to create a connection factory.

  • 5800 loses default connection method

In Connectivity/Destinations, I have "Internet" as my default connection method, this is denoted by a tiny little tick at the side of it.
But every now and then, it will fail to connect, and when going into Connectivity/Destinations, the little tick has gone.
This is my 3rd 5800 and the 3rd one to do this.. any ideas why ?

If there are mobile networks on the default container, if you lose the connection to wifi, it would revert to that and may cost you...Hmm..never experienced this before....try to restore factory settings.

  • AirPort Express - Keeps Defaulting to Factory Settings

    Hi everybody:
I just got an AirPort Express to broadcast my broadband internet throughout my apartment.
I connected it to my cable modem by ethernet cable, created a new network in Airport Utility, and it set up just fine.
I noticed that the light on the Airport Express was flashing amber, although in the A.Utility, it showed green with a successful connection.
The Airport Express is placed directly next to my computer.
Everything was working great (for a while), and I was even able to set up another Airport Express on that same network to broadcast AirTunes in another room. That connection was successful, and the light on Airport Express #2 glowed green.
After a few hours however, I lost connection.
And in Airport Utility, the status on Airport #1 (the one used to create the new network & connected by ethernet to my modem) showed that it had been defaulted to factory settings.
I then manually reset both Airports to default settings, set up the whole configuration again by creating a whole new network, and everything worked as before (#1 flashing amber, but status good in A.Utility; #2 glowed green), but again, after a few hours lost connection #1 status showed default factory settings.
There's a good chance that I'm doing something wrong -- any ideas?
    Any wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Usually, if you have an amber light on the Express, there's also an amber light in AirPort Utility when you check the settings.
Click on the word "Status" to see if there are any messages in the window that opens. A flashing amber light can sometimes be a message that a firmware update is available for the AirPort Express.
