Default country service used in ESS country specific iviews

Hi ,
We have a country specific iviews in ESS like address, personal data,etc..
but SAP has provided only for certain country.....
if country not in the list is executed , which country service is picked as default.

NWBC< you need to use PFCG
1.     Go to transaction PFCG  Enter Role as u201CSAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_WDA_1u201Dand then click on display icon Navigate to Roles tab.
2.     Navigate to u201CMenuu201D tab.
You can do so by changing sotr_edit too.

How to allow modification of Country key in standard ESS "Adress" Iview ?

Dear all,
In the standard ESS Personal Information Iview and especially "Adress" Iview, the COUNTRY drop down list can't be modified, modification is deactivated, Country drop down list isn't accessible. But I need to let people select their country when they indicate a new adress (emergency, foreign adress, secondary adress...).
In SPRO>ESS>Personal data/information -->I use country 06, infotype 0006, application case 1 permanent residence.
I tried the CTRL+right click method but I can't activate the country "modification" (no button to solve my issue).
I looked at the below thread but I do want to know if there's really no standard way to allow people to modify that usual field?

I've tested it on another system (EHP3 this time) and you need, indeed, to activate business functions (new releases of EHP) in the customizing to allow editing of other country forms. The address iview is a new one too, so no way on an ECC6.0. We tried to search a solution within the abap way but it would generate such a big specific development that I'm not sure we will implement it..

She won't be able to redeem that gift unless she moves to Germany and has a German billing address on her account - all gifts are country-specific, they can only be redeemed on accounts that have the same country on them as the person sending them, and they need to be in that country to redeem it. As you are in Netherlands then you need to update your country and billing address (and payment method if you are using a German credit card) on your account to be your Netherlands address - a store's terms of use state that you need to be in the country to use its store. You can update the details on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes

Why is it such a pain to use java in a country that uses commas as decimal separator?
A few weeks back I've asked here about the keypad decimal key. For some reason, java doesn't map the decimal key to a comma on the Portuguese (Portugal) keyboard layout. I've got no answer and I ended up using a custom plainDocument on the JTextFields to replace all points with commas.
Now, I've just spent the whole morning trying to store and use decimal numbers properly. For some reason, a Double/Float .valueOf method (or the corresponding parse method) simply ignores the locale in use and uses US defaults when parsing the string. I can't parse anything with commas in those methods and I should, as it is the decimal separator for the system and default locale being used by java.
First of all, I shouldn't be expected to perform replacements on every single operation that comes with a comma and I obviously can't be expected to program my own locale checking to decide what decimal separator to use in each final system. Second, is there any way to work with numbers seamlessly, without having to know the locale of the end user?
I'm sorry if this is all my fault for doing something completly wrong, I'm new to java and I did search around to no avail. I'm really frustrated with what seems to be a complete lack of support in java for locales other than the US one.

Good old Cobol has the "DECIMAL-POINT IS COMMA" clause... And isn't it great? :)

My point is that if strings are flying around with commas and if comma is the decimal separator on the end user's machine, any method aimed at parsing a numeric value out of a string should regard commas as such. I'm constantly replacing dots with commas and vice versa which could cause trouble if a different locale is used.
And I mean that as a rant. Given my inexperience with Java, there might be good reasons for such a behaviour as baftos argued. What I'm really interested is in finding the proper way to deal with this issue.
Have you tried the NumberFormat.parse? I will now.

The Verizon 3g iPad uses a mobile technology called CDMA. CDMA does not use SIM cards or anything similar, it basically works off a hardware identifier for the device that's built-in to the packet radio and registered with your provider. CDMA is pretty much used by Verizon in North America and several countries in Asia.
Most of the world uses the GSM technology that's the basis of the AT&T 3g iPad. That's the one you want if you plan to use 3g wireless service outside of the country.
The WiFi feature on both systems works identically. The only stipulation is that you be near a WiFi access point.

Sounds like you bought an AT&T no contract phone. You will need to contact AT&T for unlocking but they are only doing so for current and previous account holders. If you have never had service with them they will not unlock your phone.

Error Message When Leaving Review For Apps Downloaded Using a Different Country App Store

DEVICES AND SOFTWARE:
iPhone 6 Plus iOS 8.1.2, Macbook Air 11" 2013 OSX 10.10.2, iTunes 12.1.0.50
DESCRIPTION:
When attempting to leave a review for an App that has been previously downloaded or purchased using a different country store but on the same Apple ID - the user receives an error message. The issue stems from the App not being in the Purchase History of the presently associated country store as purchase history is country dependent rather than Apple ID dependent.
STEPS:
1. Login the App Store on iTunes or iOS Device using an Apple ID associated with a country.
2. Download an App for the first time using said Apple ID.
3. Change the country of said Apple ID.
4. Attempt to leave a review of the previously downloaded app.
EXPECTED RESULTS:
A user should be able to leave a review to an App he/she has previously downloaded whilst the Apple ID is associated with a different country. The App Store button should show Downloaded after the country change and the App should continue to be displayed in the Purchase history. In other words the purchase history should not be country dependent but Apple ID dependent.
ACTUAL RESULTS:
User gets an error message indicating that the app needs to be downloaded or purchased first.
NOTES:
I have tried deleting my reviews from the original country store, and yet I am still not able to leave a review. Please make the purchase history dependent on the Apple ID rather than the Country Store. If this is not possible, provide a way for users to remove to delete the purchase history from the previous country store(s) - so these apps can appear on their current country store's purchase history. Thus they would be able to leave reviews for these apps.

You cannot change your iTunes country unless you are really moving to another country, nor can you change country association for a gift card. Give it as a gift to a friend who lives in the country of origin for the card.

I want to set default printer settings to be used only for a specific type of application, certain documents. All other print jobs should use a different default setting for the printer.

I am printing a specific document from a web based application. This document need to be printed in landscape. So I would like to set the default settings for this specific printer to landscape. But for all other printers it should be portrait. But this does not seem to work. The browser picks the settings from the standard/default printer and uses this for all print jobs.

how to use the default database service name on creating procedure for datagaurd client failover ??? all oracle doc says create a new service as below and enable at DB startup. but our client is using/wanted database default service to connect from application on the datagaurd environment (rac to non rac setup).please help.

Default remit to address for each country

Hi all,
Is it possible to set default remit to address for each country in Oracle 12.1.3 or it's can be achieved only for one country? For example - We defined Spain as Default country and whenever autoinvoice or other functionality met another country (Italy, USA, Russia) to map it to Spain? I checked metalink and found docs only for defaulting remit to address for one country.

I have 2 remit addresses for a country ,one address belongs to Maharastra and one for Ahmedabad.
Under receipts from i have given states as chhattisgarh,goa,maharastra for Maharastra address and For Ahmedabad address i have give states as Gujarat,Dadra and nagar haveli.
when i raise invoice for chhattisgarh customer remit address is Maharastra ,Now i would like map chhattisgarh state to Ahmedabad address,so when i raise invoice for chhattisgarh customer remit address should be Ahmedabad address.
Can you please tell me how to achieve this.
