Default query for POWL

Hello POWL experts!
I have created a couple of predefined POWL queries in transaction POWL_QUERY,
but I cannot find the way to set the default query which is executed automatically at my POWL application startup.
Does anyone know, how could I set it?
( Currently, the first query in the alphabetical order is executed by default. )
Another question:
When the application is started, the Quick Criteria Maintenance on POWL should be shown by default.
Is it possible to set it somehow?
BR,
Laszlo

Hi John,
1.     Start transaction SE80 and create WD Application for your POWL WD Component, if you have not yet created
     (right click on WD Component -> Create -> Web Dynpro Application)
2.      Right click on newly created WD Application -> Create/Change configuration
3.     Web Dynpro Configuration Editor will start up
     (please note that we could have diferrent versions of WD configuration editor, so its layout could be different)
4.     Choose a name for your configuration.
     Fill in the 'Configuration ID' field with e.g. {WD Application name}_APP_CONF and click on 'Create'
     Now you have an Application configuration for your WD Application
5.     Create Component configuration within Application Configuration.
     At this point I see a table in my configuration editor which contains the sub-components of the POWL component.
     Select CMP_POWL sub-component row. 'Configuration' field needs to be filled in here. e.g. {WD Application name}_COMP_CONF
     Click on 'Go to component configuration'.
6.     Click on 'Create'.
7.     Select the node 'confData' on 'Explicit Configuration' tab
8.        You have the following configuration possibilities:
     Application
     Query ID
     Layout
     defaultVisibleColCount
     defaultVisibleRowCount
     ... etc.
     Fill in 'Query ID' field with the desired default query Id.
9.     Optional: you can create 'typeSpecific' nodes for POWL type specific configurations
     Right click on 'confData' node -> Create -> typeSpecific
10.     Save your configuration
11.     When you get back to the SE80 and click the refresh button above the object tree, your configurations will appear
12.     You can test the configuration by right click and 'Test'

  • SAP POWL - set default query

    Hi,
    I am working on SAP travel and expenses component, and I want to set the default POWL query to All My Expense Reports instead of All My Travel Requests on the My Trips and  Expenses Page.
    The 'personalize' option provided will only change default query for my user, I want to personalize it for all end users. I tried Administrator personalization of Web Dynpro component but it won't work.
    Any idea how can we change the default query within POWL. I checked SPRO configuration too (POWL_QUERY, POWL_QUERYR, etc), but none of them provides functionality to set default query.
    Thanks,
    Deepa Balani

    Hi,
    This might be (I'm not completely sure) that by running it once for the user with the old order it has then saved this order in the user's personalisations/preferences. I remember having issues when I was adding queries to applications that user's that I had previously used were not getting them. I think I resolved this by deleting all the saved POWL references for the user, I think this may have been personalization, but it also may have been other tables (sorry was a while ago). After doing this the issue was fixed.
    To test if this is the case - I could suggest creating a new user id and logging on with that - check if the problem is sorted for that user first - if it is then go down the path of trying to remove saved preferences for your existing users.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

    Hi Nikhil,
    We have the following issue:
    We are on SRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0.
    We are using netweaver 7.0 (SP7) for our portal instance. SSO, UWL etc have been configured in the Portal.
    Now when the user logs in to create a shopping cart and clicks on the Employee Self Service link, he gets the following error:
    "No POWL object types are assigned to you. Please inform your system adminstrator"
    What could be the resolution for this?
    I have raised it here too : Shopping cart error
    You can reply to the above thread so that I can give marks.

  • How to use the same POWL query for multiple users

    Hello,
    I have defined a POWL query which executes properly. But if I map the same POWL query to 2 portal users and the 2 portal users try to access the same page simultaneously then it gives an error message to one of the users that
    "Query 'ABC' is already open in another session."
    where 'ABC' is the query name.
    Can you please tell me how to use the same POWL query for multiple users ?
    A fast reply would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Batch processing usually involves using actions you have recorded.  In Action you can insert Path that can be used during processing documents.  Path have some size so you may want to only process document that have the same size.  Look in the Actions Palette fly-out menu for insert path.  It inserts|records the current document work path into the action being worked on and when the action is played it inserts the path into the document as the current work path..

  • ADF 11g - Query Component - How to set default values for search criteria

    I have defined a VO with named query (with 2 search criteria). I created a page and drop a query with table. It works just fine until this point. My requirement is to set a default values for the two search criteria. For example, I have release and category criteria where they are set to use a drop down. I would like to default the values for the drop down when the page is shown up the first time and query the result right away. Is there a way declaratively or I have to create a custom query?
    Thanks.

    I figured this out. Thanks.

  • Default value for SAP Query - SQ01

    Hi Expert,
    I made a query for GL master data, and I have a selection criteria on chart of account, but since the chart of account for all company codes are same; therefore I would like to default the chart of account selection criteria to my COA.
    I read through question/answer in the following thread: SQ01 - restriction on Infoset but solution given by Lalitha Manda ... I cannot get the given selection path.
    Kindly advise, and I am using ECC6.0.
    Thanks,
    sbmel

    Hi,
    You need to go to the infoset of the query (transaction SQ02), or in SQ01, after input of the SAP Query, click on 'Infoset Query'.
    In the right frame You will get a list of fields for selection. There You can default the value of selection field GL Account in the column 'Value'.

    Hi Rahul,
    I created each Branch as a profit Centre and the filed name is OPRC.PrcCode . If the user at a particular branch logged in SAP by using his ID and when he is adding a SO the profit centres list should appear in Profit centre filed.
    And is there any provision to set the profit centre  (OPRC.Code) as default for the user at a branch by taking document no.series or location ID or User ID as consideration in the FMS query.

  • Create POWL query for specific user (not self)

    Hello All,
    was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to create a POWL query for a specific user. Even the low level method in class CL_POWL_QUERY_ACCESSOR seem to assume that you either are creating an administrator query for any/everyone or just for yourself.
    One option is to create multiple queries (for each selection criteria that I want) and assign these directly to user (rather than the role) in the config - but that's config that I'd need to transport up - for what is essentially user level personalisation.
    My strong favourite at the moment is to throw a breakpoint in CL_POWL_QUERY_ACCESSOR and manually change the user name as I save new queries in directly in production - but that's not exactly the cleanest solution.
    Surely someone has had a need to actually create queries for users, not just delete them as per program POWL_D01?
    Many thanks for any hints and tips
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Well - I should point out that you don't have to transport those user assignment of queries - tables are production maintainable. However, you do have to transport up the query itself - so not ideal.
    Oh well - don't think this one has an answer => closing it to open another question.
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • POWL Default Query

    Hello Experts,
    We just upgraded to ERP 6.0 EHP6 SP11 and activated business function HCM_ERC_CI_4 in our development system.  After doing so, the default query on the Recruiter dashboard is no longer "My Open Requisitions;" it is now "Open Background Checks."  I am describing the situation when the Recruiter has never themselves specified a default query using the Personalize feature on the Recruiter dashboard.  Therefore, the system would default them to “My Open Requisitions.”  This is no longer happening.
    How do I make the system go back to using “My Open Requisitions” as the system default?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    John Holland

    Hi Nicole,
    Thank you for the suggestion.  I ran POWL_D01 on a couple of users in our development system.  It did cause their default query to now be "My Open Requisitions."  This is perfect for someone who has not specified a default query themselves.  However, it had two affects that are not desired.  I had my default query set to “Open Team Requisitions” along with a custom view I defined.   After running POWL_D01 for me, it removed my selection for “Open Team Requisitions” so that I now do not have a default query specified under Personalize.  It also removed the custom view I created and had set as my default.
    So the two problems are:
    1. Elections that Recruiters make under Preferences as their default query are deleted.
    2. Custom views that Recruiters create are deleted.
    The behavior that is desired is that any one who has specified a default query would not have that election changed.  Also, custom views would not be deleted.  Only Recruiters who have NOT specified a default query would have their default reset to "My Open Requisitions."
    How do we accomplish this?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    John

  • Default password for SID adm

    The subject says it all - I am new to MaxDB, and did not install the application.
    We are trying to update some tables, and get permission errors.
    I have the SUPERDBA user, but that user does not have permissions on the <SID>ADM tables.
    Is there a default password for the <SID>ADM database user?
    I am probably missing something very easy here.

  • SQL Query for Date field updation

    I want a query from u.. Hope u help me with a
    solution soon..
    My Q: I want to update a date field in Oracle
    database. But the condition is that i shouldnt change
    the hours, minutes & seconds of the date field.
    generally , if we update the date field then it takes
    the default values for hours, min's & sec's to
    00:00:00.
    EX : if we have a value 21-SEP-2002 04:54:44 in a date
    field. I want to update it to 22-SEP-2002 04:54:44.
    But it updates to 22-sep-2002 00:00:00 if we use
    UPDATE command.

    Use a PreparedStatement:
    PreparedStatement ps = conn.prepareStatement("SELECT * FROM TEMP WHERE TDATE > ? AND TDATE < ?");
    // note: month numbers start at 0, so 1 is february
    GregorianCalendar c1 = new GregorianCalendar(2002, 1, 11, 11, 0);
    GregorianCalendar c2 = new GregorianCalendar(2002, 1, 18, 22, 0);
    Date d1 = c1.getTime();
    Date d2 = c2.getTime();
    java.sql.Timestamp sqlDate1 = new java.sql.Timestamp(d1.getTime());
    java.sql.Timestamp sqlDate2 = new java.sql.Timestamp(d2.getTime());
    ps.setTimestamp(1, sqlDate1);
    ps.setTimestamp(2, sqlDate2);
    ResultSet rs = ps.executeQuery();
    // get results from the result setJesper

  • Default Query Print Layout problem

    Hello:
        I have a query below SELECT T0.[ItemCode], T0.[Dscription], sum(T0.[Quantity]) as 'Quantity' FROM INV1 T0 WHERE month(T0.[DocDate]) =month([%0]) AND  year(T0.[DocDate]) = year([%0]) and T0.[ItemCode] IS NOT NULL GROUP BY T0.[ItemCode], T0.[Dscription] ORDER By T0.[ItemCode].
        Which basically output monthly inventory invoiced qty. It works fine. However when I try ti link to the default system print layout and try to print. The column 'quantity' become very small and cut off most of the number. How do I make it bigger? I have been trying to modify it for quiet a while now. Nothing seems to work. I think it's length is preset base on the column lenth in the table! If that's the case how do I make it wider?
        Also the default layout for user query are pretty weired. I think it's dynamically allocating spaces depends on number of column. But what happens when you do functions such as sum, avg..etc. There is no present length. So they just disregard it?
      Any help will be appreciated.. Thank You
    Sincerely Yours

    I am asuming that u are not yet familiar with how to work with PLD (Print Layout Designer). I would suggest that u see some tutorials from the following link and then try to change that default layout according to ur own requirements
