When i open purchase order, STANDARD PO comes Defaultly comes from LOV.
i wish to set Planned PO as Defaultly..
how to set it..

Hi,
As I know this is a standard functionality. There are no profile that allows to change the defaulted value in this field. If you're in 11.5.10 you can use User Interface Modeler to accomplish with this requirement.
You can access to UI Modeler by going in help, Diagnostic, Custome Code, Personalize.

RESOLUTION (seems not logical, but this worked):
Firefox would do nothing other than ask me to install the Firefox plugin for Adobe, which I accepted. This process leads to re-installing Adobe Reader. After installing Adobe Reader, all of the defaults that I previously had set to use Adobe Standard were re-set during the Adobe Reader installation to use Adobe Reader interally in Firefox.
After re-installing, I was able to load the document that previously I was unable to load (using Adobe Reader inside Firefox). I changed all of the Adobe defaults (under TOOLS/OPTIONS) to "always use Adobe Standard" instead of "Use Adobe Reader (default)". I was then able to open the document using Adobe Standard.
It appears that the following process solved the problem:
> uninstall Adobe Reader
> reinstall Adobe Reader (and the Firefox Adobe plugin)
> change the defaults from "Use Adobe Reader (default)" to "Adobe Standard [release number]"
Note: I have Firefox 21.0 installed, and Adobe Reader XI 11.0.3 installed prior to, and after, this issue.

Adding a default setting to Adobe Acrobat XI Standard

I am creating a very large document (over 100 pages) where we would like people to check boxes throughout the document. The current default setting is for an X to fill the box but we want a check mark. How do I update the default setting to change it from an X to a check? I've tried using Duplicate Across Pages and that didn't work either.

Get Pro if you intend think you'll be doing any JavaScript programming since there are a number of limitations that Standard imposes. You can create the same field types with Standard as with Pro and can configure the fields the same way.
The editing tools in Pro are more extensive and include the Redaction, Preflight, and custom Actions (formerly Batch processing).

How to set grayscale as default setting?

I am trying to set my printer's (Brother MFC 9450 CDN) settings in the application print dialogue to grayscale and toner save mode as default/standard values, so that I would have to explicitly turn on color printing if required.
The only way to do that which I have discovered so far would be by creating a new printing preset. But then each time I open the print dialogue again, the preset jumps back to "standard" and I have to choose the grayscale preset each time I print something.
So is there a way of either modifying the "standard" preset or choosing a new preset as default preset? Any other solution?

When I select on 'Print' and click on the Presets, I can select Save, Save As, Rename, or Delete.
Mine defaults to the last setting used. Although I don't have a Brother printer, it works the same way for any of the 3 printers I have installed, two USB and one wireless.
(I'm on 10.6.4 now, but I don't think that setting changed from 10.5.8, because I just updated to Snow Leopard last week.)
But just rename 'Standard' to something else, like 'Original Standard' (in case you want to get it back for some reason).
In any case, if yours always defaults to 'Standard', then rename your 'Grayscale' setting to 'Standard'
Let me know how that works.

How do you change the default setting in the motions tab?

We have two macs in our editing suite. Both are running FCP studio 2. One of the macs has a default setting for the drop shadow of 2 in the motion tab. The other mac has the default setting of 10. How can I change the default settings (not as a favorite) so that when I open a clip in the viewer the default setting will always be my preference (1.5) instead of the standard 10. I also want to change the opacity to 90% as the default.

Below is a step-by-step process for changing the default font in CS6, Illustrator, Mac, Mountain Lion, 10.8.2.
There are several additiional steps needed to make this work.

To Change Default Font in CS6-Ai-Mac-Mountain Lion, 10.8.2
On desktop menu bar, hold down Option key, go to GO, pull down to Library.
Open Application Support, ~ Adobe, ~ Adobe Illustrator CS6, ~ en_us ~ New Document Profiles
Six choices appear (you can change each that you use, one at a time)
Example: Double click Basic RGB.ai
A Basic RGB.ai blank document window opens
In Menu Bar, go to Window ~ Type ~ Character Styles
A sub-window opens with (Normal Character Style) highlighted in Blue
Double click the highlighted name and another sub-window opens
In left of this window, choose Basic Character Formats
Change to desired Font Family, Font Style, Size, etc.
Click OK when finished, widow disappears to reveal Character Styles sub-window
Click anywhere on the blank document in order to get option to Save
Save the document
Close Character Styles sub-window
Quit Illustrator
Re-launch Illustrator CS6 ~ New document … check Font tool to confirm changed default font

How do you change the default setting for RTF documents from TextEdit to MS Word

How do you change the default setting for RTF documents from TextEdit to MS Word, I download forms from the Canadian government and they use RTF as a standard, they are supposed to open as MS Word documents (Yes I have Office for MAC 2011) but when download the document it goes to TextEdit which messes up the form format. I can down load it right click and go "open with" MS Word but how can I get the default chnaged to save this step.

In Firefox > Preferences, click the Applications tab. If RTF is there, use the pulldown menu in the Action column to pick MS Word. If RTF is not there, there are instructions here for how to add file types.

Report painter - Default set 010100010001-1 does not exist

Dear Experts,
I have created a report in report painter and I transported (report, report group, variables) thru transport request. while importing into Quality system i was getting errror"Library 1VK: Default set 010100010001-1 does not exist". Then i kept 1 VK library in transport then i moved to Quality system now all standard report are not working properly.

Then I transported 1VK library also (without selection list option) now my standard reports are not working properly

Line Item Display - layout default setting

Hi,
In GL-Account Line item display I have set a layout as a default setting. Now I want to set another lay out as default. The problem is the old default setting remains as default ahead and now we have two different default layouts.
How can I delete the old default setting?

This layout was defined as user specific and now this layout appears as standard layout in system of every user and even as default layout. And now this user specific layout is accessible by all users.
Both above mentioned methods have not helped me.
Is it possible to delete this user specific default lay out, which got standard layout for all users??

I was creating a workbook template by my standard,,
Add to logo,,, date,, and user name
I save my workbook and then checking the perminent workbook setting,,,
But that is restricted onyl my user ID,,
so, i want to know about global default setting...
I was supposed that global setting is part of authrization object or other thing...

Its mentioned that
To use the selected workbook as the default workbook for all users, set the Global Default Workbook indicator. The indicator is only input-ready if the user has the necessary authorization. Authorization object S_RS_TOOLS is required. Field COMMAND must contain value THEMES.

CS Camera Raw Dialog Box: default setting for 'Tint'

I have yet another question about Photoshop CS (not CS1,2,3 or 4) that I cannot find answered in any book or online article that I have consulted. Because CS will not handle Camera Raw files from my camera (Nikon D50), what I do is to use an Adobe DNG converter to convert them to .dng format and then open them in Photoshop CS. When the Camera Raw dialog box opens, all the variables under the 'Adjust' tab are set to standard default values (e.g. 0 for Exposure, +5 for Shadows, +25 for Contrast, etc.) — except Tint. Tint very mysteriously varies from image to image, even though they all come from the same camera with the same menu settings and the same memory card and even if I have not previously done any adjusting of those images. For any given image, the Tint value stays the same if I change Settings between Camera Default and Selected Image. But it will be different when I open another image from the same series.
What I should like to know is, firstly, what it is about a given Camera Raw file that 'tells' Photoshop what value to set Tint to; and, secondly, what the default value should be. Thanks in advance for any information.

ALV display: Default setting field in grey mode

Hi
In SE16 or SE11 when we are checking the table (any table, say MARA, RESB etc) with ALV option, we are getting the "save layout" with default setting field in grey mode. So whatever layout is created it is not a default layout, the user has to select the layout. However when I check with another friend in another project there the ALV setting is coming with editable option.
So how shall I get that the field in change mode. Pls suggest.

for reasons that may be discussed elsewhere, the layout saved in SE16 is applied to all tables displayed using SE16. Thus a default layout does not make too much sense. In the layout the columns displayed are stored. If you have a default layout you will see only the columns that have all displayed columns in common.
By the way, in my system I can store a default layout but only user-specific. I can not save standard (non-user-specific) layouts in SE16/SE11.
In SE16N I can store both general (non-user-specific) and Default layouts. Here the layout is table-specific.
If you users want a special layout (and they are allowed to use SE16!!!) , you should switch to SE16N.

Default setting for partial invoice indicator

Hello Experts,
We are on SRM 5.0 SP12 and ERP 6.0 SP13. When a split accounting purchase order is created in SRM and transfers over into SAP, partial invoices are automatically posting with the distribution of "Distribute to following row". In ME23N under account assignment, there are three options for partial invoice postings:
1) Derive from account assignment category
2) Distribute to following row
3) Distribute proportionally
We would like to default the third selection, "Distribute proportionally". Does anyone know where this setting can be changed or how to do this?
I tried going into SPRO-> IMG-> MM-> Purchasing-> Account Assignment-> Maintain Account Assignment and changing the Partial Invoice selection on the account assignment from '2 u2013 Apportion IR quantities to GR quantities proportionately' to '1 u2013 Apportion IR quantities to GR quantities one after another'. When I created a new split accounting purchase order in SRM and viewed the PO in ME23N, the partial invoice indicator still had a distribution of '1 Distribute to Following Row'. Does anyone have any ideas about how to set up a default for the partial invoice indicator when a purchase order is coming from SRM?

SAP was able to provide assistance on the issue. Here are the details:
The SRM always sends to ECC the "Distribute to Following Row" selected,
and sometimes configuration changes in tcode OME9 have not effect,
possibly due to the Support Package.
To specify the correct option "Distribute Proportionally", it is necessary to use the Badi BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI...
The partial invoice indicator is set to '1' by default in SRM, it is
standard behaviour, you can check it in the LBBP_BD_DRIVER_46AF15
program. The functionality that allow has the value ´2´ to partial
invoice indicator is exclusive to MM - R3 system.
You have two possible solution to create from EBP to backend some PO
documents with multiple account assignment and partial invoice
indicator = 2 (Distribute Proportionally):
a) To use the Badi BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI to create the PO this way.
ls_ct_bapi_poitem-PART_INV = '2'
Effectively, this solution change the setting in the backend
to 'Distribute Proportionally'.
b) Partial invoice indicator can either be set in OME9 in the Backend
for the posted account assignment category (e.g. K - cost center)
or default using Backend Badi:
BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI
BBP_POITEM-PART_INV
-> Part_INV is a field of BBP_POITEM. In the backend BADI, if you
look at the field of BBP_POITEM, you will find PART_INV. You
have to use the BADI to set this field.
OME9 was the tcode in MM to specify the partial invoice settings for each account assignment. According to SAP, sometimes this works with SRM (since the default setting sent to ECC from SRM is "Distribute to following row") and sometimes it doesn't. We ended up changing the partial invoice flag upon creation of the purchase order through the BADI mentioned above since the configuration changes did not remedy the issue. Now the partial invoices are posting proportionally which has resolved all of our split accounting posting issues.

We can deploy default font for same version of Outlook, I haven’t found a way to change the font among different versions. The only way to achieve this is deploy font for each version of Outlook separately:

1. Set the font you want in one computer.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\XX.0\Common\MailSettings

3. Distribute the .reg file via Group Policy.

Changing live trace default setting

I am just wondering if anyone would know how to change illustrators live trace function the from the standard default setting to one of my presets as everytime I run a script, it automatically picks the default setting.

Scott he is correct and even in the Illustrator Preference file there is no mention of the Live trace. It must be some where in one of application support directories or in the packages.
But I would like to suggest that caution should be used when altering the preferences as sometimes the settings are enforced this way to avoid general conflicts and close common or potential avenues of corruption.
That is you might change it and some other software you have installed when launch could read that the wrong way. There are enough times when one has the experience where you have had to trash Illustrators preferences. Inviting new ones might not be the wisest.
Although I agree overwriting the default settings might also do such a thing.
I think this is a good feature request I have tried to create new user define defaults as well and it would be great to have that ability for different work space.
You might try this Nick load your brushes and your trace settings and the go to the View Menu and save that as a New View which you should be able to load in other documents.
As long as you have save your brushes to a brush library and your trace options with its own name, it should properly set.
Or save it as a workspace might work as well?

Can "line inside" be set as standard preference?

Can "line inside" be set as standard preference? So that when i make a box with a line, the line automatically is inside the box and not "on" or "outside". I cannot find a way to make it a standard instead of the line "on" the box.

Have you tried creating an object style with no documents open? That style will be the default. You can also edit the Basic Graphics Frame and Basic Text Frame properties with no open documents, to modify these primary objects.
