Default website not listed on start screen

Hi All,
I am not a regular user of Contribute but, instead am an IT administrator for our compnay.  So, forgive any ingroanace on the matter.
We just moved this particular user to Windows 7 64 bit and she is having an issue with our website not showing up on the home page of contribute.  We are talking about version 6.5 here. 
Here is her original ticket:
I got a new Contribute key from David earlier today and it worked fine at first – I was able to edit some pages without issue. When I closed out Contribute and then opened it again later, though, the website connection was no longer listed.
Usually when you start Contribute, you select the website connection you want to use from a list on the startup screen. It doesn’t show up there, but when I use the key again to set it up, it tells me that I already have a connection to this website, and do
I want to override it? I’ve just been clicking ‘yes’ and overwriting the old connection.
She is also reporting another issue: 
I can’t edit pages that are secure (https). Am I going to have to have two different keys in order to do this? It was never an issue before—I’ve always been able to edit any page on our site, and I only
had the one website key/connection.

For the first problem, try this.
Go to Edit>My connections. I assume you are using the publishing server? If so, select that in my connections and click remove. Then try re-installing the permissions key. If not using the publishing server, just find the individual connections and remove them.
Not sure about the second issue. Contribute should edit it just fine if she has all the read/write permissions for the drive it sits on set up properly but I'm not a server person so hopefully someone who is will come along soon.

  • How can I add a particular website to the Windows8 Start Screen. IE has an option but I can't find one for Firefox.

    There are some Windows 8-specific features in development, but I don't know whether this one is available yet (or when it might be). I wonder whether someone could create an add-on to do it? I didn't see one in a quick search.
    If you create the shortcuts using IE, but have Firefox set as your default browser, do those tiles launch the sites in Firefox?
    There is a setting to open external links in a new tab in the last active window. I'm not sure whether that extends to the Firefox program icon. Normally, external links follow your preference for links you click inside Firefox, but you also can set their behavior separately as described in this post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/934541#answer-359719 (it's long, bring coffee).
    Are we getting any closer?

  • Folder shortcuts are not included in Start Screen Layout GPO, RDS 2012 R2

    Hi,
    I've recently installed Remote Desktop Services 2012 R2 and i'm having some trouble with the Start Screen Layout GPO. The application icons that i've included are being regenerated on the users start screens but not the folder shortcuts, even though
    they are included in the .XML layout file. Does anybody know if there is a way to get them to show up to? Here is the contents of the .XML file.

    In your case, you can try to edit “Start Screen Layout” setting under below mention path.

  • OEM Website not listing Application Server

    I am currently working on various Oracle Technologies.We are operating Oracle 9iAS on Solaris 8.Installation has gone through perfectly without any error.Both iAS and Insfrastructure are installed on a single server and forms / reports and discoverer services and SSO perfectly working and also able to deploy forms.Now my problem is when i give the following url http:\\myservername.domain:1810 it asks for the ias_admin password once i enter the valid ias_admin password it logs on to OEM website but in the OEM Web Site it is not listing any of my application server or infact its only giving a blank html page with help and preferences option.I would like to know what is the problem and how to correct the same.Please note that opmn / dcm / insfrastructure database / listener and emctl all the services are up and running.

    Place the iPod in recovery mode to bypass the passcode (and essentially erase your iPod)  and then restore via iTunes on your computer.

    Quit Safari while holding down the option key. Relaunch. Your home page, or an empty window, should open, depending on your preferences.
    If in full-screen mode, exit. If not in full-screen mode, enter. Quit and relaunch without holding any keys. You should get the same window in the same state as when you quit. Does that happen?

  • Website not centering in computer screen

    I'm building a website in dreamweaver and using fluid grid.
    When the site is viewed on a screen larger than 1132px max-width, the site is rendering on the left side of the screen:

    I've place the header and footer outside the grid container and feel that this or other container element is causing the problem.
    I can't figure out the solution; any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I recently got SMB sharing to work with my mac and windows xp machine. But then i was running into a problem that i could not see the share folders on the xp machine. I created an account on the mac but i still could not see the folders. Then i came across a post that stated i should change the home directory on the shared account and then i can access my folders since they were located in my home directory. I restarted the machine and now i can not see the user under the account screen. I tried to create another account but it states that one already exsits. Please help me.

    I found out how to delete the accounts i just need to know how to properly share the folders. This page helped me out.

    upon further investigation, the "application frame" yields other unwanted effects.
    That setting gives me tabbed viewing (which I don't want), even though I have that turned off in preferences. When I open multiple documents they open not as individual windows, but as a tab in the one open window. When I go into the options bar and set the "arrange documents" to "float in windows", I get the individual windows, but then I get the same problem of the windows not zooming to the full screen, as stated in my original posting.
    Also, just saw that even with the "application frame" checked, when I open a smart object layer, that window still has the same zoom issue.
    So the problem still exists.
    Any other ideas?
    fyi: here is a screen capture of the original screen / zoom issue.
    You can see the gray space on the left and bottom. The scroll bars are showing and the window will not get any larger.

  • Import users from BIAR file -- users not listed in import screen of Wizard

    Hi,
    we try to import users from a BO XI R2 SP4 running on Windows to our BO XI R2 SP4 running on Linux (both use Oracle database).
    When I try to import users with the Import Wizard, I can't see the list of users so at the end of the import  and show in the log --> 0 user simported.
    I have activate the trace on Wizard import but don't see errors in the log files.
    Also I open the file with a ZIP tool and I can see that it contains data.
    So why this ?

    It is what we do, we use directlty the user:  Adminsitrator.
    I have also set the -trace parameter on the Wizard import but nothing special in the trace about any errors or warnings. (nothing).

  • Default website not showing

    Just upgraded a Snow Leopard Server to Lion Server 10.7.3 and the Web Service works along with all of my virtual hosts BUT the default site that shows isn't the one that Server.app says should show, its the first virtual host that shows.
    I've tried adding "ServerName myserver.mydomain.com" params into the 0000_any_80_.conf which hasn't worked.  Anyone know a workaround for this?  Can't use the Wiki or Webmail without it.

    Hmmm.  Rebooted the server after installing the EFI update and now all is well.....  Odd.

    Just recorded the following for the Adobe Captivate Bug Reporting system:

    Concise problem statement:
    Steps to reproduce bug:
    1.Set a PNG as start screen instead of Autoplay
    2.Save project
    3.Check Library for Unused Assets
    4. Remove unused assets
    Results:
    1. Start screen is removed because it is flagged as an unused asset.
    2. Movie then starts with slide one.
    Expected results:
    1. Library Cleanup would not see start screen image as "unused."
    2. Library Cleanup should not remove the start screen that is used in place of autoplay.

    WORK AROUND:
         Because the startup screen appears instead of AutoPlay, each time you preview the movie/project you will see the startup screen and will have to click the play button (a triangular shaped arrow). This happens even if you are only previewing the next five slides. Therefore, the workaround is this: don't put on the startup screen until you are at the final publishing stage; use AutoPlay until you are ready to release the project.
    Adobe is considering fixing the bug for the next release (date and content unknown).
    NOTE: Before final publishing, purge the library of unused assets, THEN set up a start screen (and turn off AutoPlay), then publish, then luxuriate in accolades.

  • ICloud not listed in Edit smpt in Mail preferences

    Hi all-I have been having issues with Mail lately. I am running Mavericks (latest version) and Mail is 7.3.
    First it keeps asking me for my password. I have lost count the number of times I have reentered it! But it keeps on asking. I enter the password in the popup window that says the iCloud password is incorrect. Sometimes it accepts it and the mail downloads but other times it doesn't.
    The other issue is that in Mail Preferences if I go to Edit smpt settings iCloud is not listed. Comcast is but not iCloud. It's listed on the first screen of Mail Preferences.
    The other question I have is the Incoming Mail Server-it says (in faint letters, not highlighted) p01-imap.mail.me.com. Is this what it should say? Out going is iCloud (iCloud). No TLS Certificate. Under the Advanced tab it says authentication if Password. Again, iCloud is not listed on this screen.
    I wasn't aware that I changed anything. I did do the 2 step verification for iCloud today but the password issue has been going on for over a week. Looking forward to getting this mess straightened out! Judy

    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
    Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
    If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
    Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
              Change Settings for Keychain "login"
    In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
              Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
    If the box marked
              Keep login keychain unlocked
    is not checked, check it.
    Select
              Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
    from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
