Define a Item in Oracle but we dont own it - only customer owns it?

Hi Gurus,
Please help me with this issue, I have a functional question of whether the explained is possible or not, any suggestions will really help me -
One of our customers liked our freight handling process, so he was asking us if we can store few of his items in our warehouse, so in this case we dont own the items, so when he sends us a new order with these items he want us to ship it to his customer from our warehouse, I am aware of drop ship but in this case this is not our item, so ideally we must take his order for his customer on items we have in inventory but dont own and then we must send him a notification on shipment, but also in this case I am not sure how invoicing works, also not sure how to maintain the pricing, can anyone help me how to handle this process, is this possible?

Tricky requirement though !!
One thing is sure, if you need billing to take place, you must DEFINE items in your environment for ORacle Apps to handle it.
more details will be appreciated here,
1. What is customer side of Apps? I mean, is it legacy system? oracle Apps?
2. What kind of system interface you got to store inventory items, transacting his items via in house system?
3. what all licenses your company has purchased as far as oracle is concerned?
This can defenitely be possible with oracle apps, provided you give broader picture of what you want.

Welcome to the Apple Community Diane.
I find that shared video can be troublesome, a few haven't appeared to work as you describe but have done when I've looked at a later date. Hopefully they will work if you give them a bit longer. perhaps it would be a good idea if you make sure they are working before deleting them from the camera roll.

How to Disable Menu item in Oracle Applications

Hi,
How can I disable a Menu (Actions->user defined menu) Item in Oracle applications by using forms personalization.
Our requirement is to display a message on click of a standard menu using form personalization and it should retain the seeded functionality.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

Creating user defined pay items in a complex PO which will be created from an Approved requisition

We want to create user defined pay items in a complex PO which will be created from an Approved Requisition.
User will select the approved Req. through WebADI and update the pay Items which will be uploaded and a complex PO will be created with user defined Pay Items.
Approach 1:
The API po_interface_s.create_documents is running good but there is one issue with this API as below.
When we add user defined pay items to the po_lines_locations interface table against a line they are also getting added to the complex PO correctly.
But the issue is coming when the API is creating default shipment lines and distribution which we dont want.
Is there any way to stop creating the default pay items and distributions?
We only want the shipments we have entered in the po_lines_locations interface.
We can delete the lines from the PO_line_locations and po_distributions base tables for the default lines but that will be the last option to do delete on base tables.
Approach 2:
We can also do the same with the open PO import interface but it is not linking the complex PO to the approved requisition from which it is created.
Oracle mentioned that this is a future enhancement and this functionality is not available in standard PO import prog.
We are trying for Approach 1 so any suggestions/solutions are appreciated to achieve the requirement.

UDT cannot be created in sbo-common. You may create new db and work with table in this db (but it will be not UDT, but standard sql table), or create new company db only for this purposes and create UDT there.

Inventory account not defined in item code

Hi,
Iam trying to add A/p Credit memo from A/P invoice (Copy to method) and changing Unit price of one item (there 8 items) then it gives error of "Inventory account not defined item code" i check all accounts in Item group and Wh also.i also change item gr.of particular item and update it correct item gr.relogin but still problem occurs so pl suggest me solution.

If ur using purchasing acc.System method u have to define the accounts for purchase acc., purchase offset acc. then ly it will allow to add. Also check the new item group which u have changed now, check whether all acc.s r there r not in that group.
Also Purchase Return acc.

How to disable copy option for a text item in oracle forms

Hello experts,
I am using oracle forms 11g with weblogic server 10.3.5 at windows7.I have a text item in my oracle form and I have to disable to being copy from a text item in oracle forms.Actually I have to make two text item.First text item to type a password and another text item is also to type password.Here I want that the data from first text item should not be copy through the use of mouse or keyboard shortcut key.

Thank You To reply, Actually doing so as you said,My problem would not be solved.This would hide data in text item than I will not be able to copy that but in my case the data should not be concealed.Actually I have to make a Form to User registration and here is a strictly boundation to have a right email address of user.There would two text items for this purpose as: N_User_Email------> to type email address in text item.Here user would not be able to copy text written from N_User_Email R_User_Email ------> to type email address again as in N_User_Email.

1. The information what you enbale in the Genereal tab region will not stop you to purcahse the material.
Mark ur item as a Make item...Enable all relevant attributes...
Enable all the purcase options..
Then do your Sourcing rule and assignment,,,
you can produce as well as purchase..

The usual cause is having the trial of iWork '09. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.
FYI: the name of the program is Pages, no 'i', the suite is iWork.

Include User Defined Language Items

I am currently developing an app that needs to let users
define their own editable text for some items.
I didnt want to include all of these options in the database
to avoid having a large database and lots of cfquery's so I though
having them in a file of some sort would be best, and just
including the file as needed.
So, having thought that I put a bunch of cfset's in the
language file and set all these variables, but then I realised that
someone could put a cfdump in there and have the app spit out
information that they shouldnt see.
So how can you let users define language items in a file and
load them as usable variables, but not allow them to put other CF
tags in that page?

Is it possible to use regex somehow to loop over a file that
contains lines like <varname = 'what you want'> and have
everything between the '' stored in an two dimensional array with
the variable name as the name?
Are there any suggestions about the best way to handle
this?

I am facing a problem when i am going to define database name in oracle ADI there is a error u can enter minimum 6 char database name but my database name is PROD it is only 4 char long. how can i define can i will change the database name. Please suggest me.

Database is used internally by ADI and does not have any relationship to the name of your database.
Using ADI I am able to create a database with the following:
Name - My Wacky Database
GWYUID and FNDNAM as usual
Connect String - VIS
I'm able to signon and work successfully with that definition. The connect string is more important in this scenario as that tells the networking layer which database to actually talk to. As you can see here mine is only three characters.

i have a button where i configure a Redirect to URL option... and use : javascript:html_PopUp('http://yahoo.com', '_newwindow');
That is pretty clear, and it works. I also have a defined page item which does contain a valid URL
For example :P4_OFFICE_WEB_PAGE_LINK_V:='http://google.com'
I want the pop up to use a stored value, not the hardcoded one at the top... I have tried all of these, but none seem to work :
