  • Defining + testing Web Service

    Hi,
    I've defined a web service from ID and loaded the WSDL into XML Spy and trying to SOAP request from the WSDL.
    But I get the following error when I try to validate the WSDL.
    Unable to locate a reference to a supported schema type (DTD, W3C Schema) within this document instance.
    however I've the following XML tag in my WSDL
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <wsdl:definitions xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:p1="http://Webservice.com/xi/WS00" name="MI_AVG_OUT" targetNamespace="http://Webservice.com/xi/WS00">
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://Webservice.com/xi/WS00" targetNamespace="http://Webservice.com/xi/WS00">
    I dont see the option 'Create new SOAP request' since the WSDL is not validated.
    And another question..when I defined Webservice, I had to input Message interface twice
    in 'Specify the Interface' step and (step 5 in <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/31/daa0404dd52b54e10000000a1550b0/content.htm">help.sap.com</a>)
    in 'Specify the Sender' step (step 7 in <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/31/daa0404dd52b54e10000000a1550b0/content.htm">help.sap.com</a>)
    What is the difference between these two...I mentioned my synchronous o/b interface MI_AVG_OUT and its namespace. Is that right?
    Thanks in advance
    praveen

    I tried and tested the same WSDL using oxygen. It is working perfectly well.
    I donno why XML spy was saying it as invalid, but I got what I wanted.

  • Problem when defining a web service

    Hello,
    I have defined several BAPI that I am calling from an external application by exopsing those BAPI using the SOAP adaptor.
    All goes well for all of them except one.
    For the one having problems the Integrantion engine is routing that call to different webservice than the one I expect it to do it,
    these are some of the paramenters I use when defining the web service in the Integration Builder:
    Interface name: MI_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    Communitcation chanel: CC_SOAP_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    Address: http://sapxi:50000/xisoapadapter/messageservlet?channel=:BS_WEBSERVICE_GREYCON:CC_SOAP_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    but instead when I test the generated wsdl using soapUI: the integration engine returns this error:
    Canceled with Errors 02.06.2010 15:04:22 02.06.2010 15:04:23   [websericename]     [namespace]MI_BAPI_PDSSRVAPS_GETLIST
    My guess is that at some point I defined wrong the web service but I have no way to redefine it or revert how it was defined.
    I redefined the webservice with correct parameters, but there is no change in behaviour.
    I checked server address and port (it is the exact same of the other BAPIs that work)
    Where can I see all defined web services when they are defined via the Integration builder define web service option?
    How to delete a webservice published this way?
    Any advise?
    Any help is very much appreciated.

    Hello there.
    Error: 404 Not Found
    Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
    u2022 404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs. Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
    u2022 Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
    u2022 If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
    u2022 If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination.
    Try some of the recommendations that most apply to your case.
    Hope it helps!

  • Define External Web services in SPRO. in SRM

    Hi SRM Gurus,
    We are doing an Upgrade from SRM3.0 to SRM7.0 with MDM.
    In SRM 7.0 -SPRO -We have to do the config in  Define External Web services
    What are the parameters to maintain.
    I read from SDN that
    Following parameters are not required in SRM 7.0. It was for ITS.
    ~OkCode ADDI
    ~target _top
    ~forcetarget yes
    ~caller CTLG
    You need additional parameter in SRM 7.0.
    returntarget _parent - for this what is the input parameters
    Hi Masa /Muthu
    Can you list down what  are the Input parameters required for this config and the details?
    Regards
    G.Ganesh Kumar

    Hi Masa,
    We have deployed the SRM-MDM Catalog Search UI in Portal.
    we tried accessing the http://<Portal Host>:<Portal Port>/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM
    Then we got a screen (Search UI App screen), where in we have provided the MDM Server name, then the MDM Server Password, then presses the Connect button, then below this, it displayed the Repository name created in the MDM. We have selected the Repository, then provided the Credentials of a User (Name: T_CORP) in MDM which has "Catalog Manager", and the "UI Configuration Manager" Roles. Please note that these Role names were created by us in MDM. Is it the right procedure or do we have any standard Roles delivered by SAP in MDM to map? If any standard Roles are available, where we need to check these.
    Once the Credentials of MDM User is provided, and then selected the "Login" button.
    Then we are getting the below error.
    "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Table with Code 'null' does not exist in the repository 'Repository' or is one of the system table (e.g. Workflows) that is not exposed in repository schema"
    Please clarify; we are not configuring any values in iViews. Where we need to do this, I mean name of the iView, and what values do we need provide generally? We are just running the Search UI App application; I don't think it is an iView, because the URL shows the Application name details, etc...
    Please guide us, how to fix this Error.

  • Define external web services

    Hello all,
    We are running CCM 1.0.Have a doubt regarding "defining the external web services" in catalog content management.
    In the documents it says " you must define external web services to define the connection to:
    1.] CCM catalogs; 2.] OCI Catalogs
    What is the difference between the two?? Are CCM catalogs not OCI compliant?
    I always thought that once we load catalogs in CAT and CSE..that is it.What are these OCI catalogs now??
    Please help
    Sam

    Sam,
    I can help you to define external webservices -
    You can define webservices using <b>WF_EXTSRV</b>.
    You will have to enter service id, Log, Servers, and Port, specify your system access data for HTTP. You can get these details from your BASIS team. You will have to specify path for your BSP (Web Page).
    Select the call mode as <b>'Dialog Based Services'</b>.
    After this you will have to define import/export parameters. Normally export parameters is a 'Decision' made by the user (Approved / Rejected).
    You will have to maintain entry for your service id and Web task in table <b>SWLWPTSSID</b>. (Use SM30 to do it).
    Hope these details will help you.
    Regards.

  • Is it possible to define multiple web services in one project?

    I'd like to publish multiple components within one project as web services. but when I try to create it using the project New menu, it only prompts me and allows me to select one component . So does this mean only one web service can exist in one project?

    Sunil
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
    I think I should have worded my question more clearly.
    I have a project with multiple Java classes. I'd like to convert two of them into web services.
    There are two ways to co this.
    1. I right click on each class and select the Generate J2EE Web Service option. This will work correctly and allow multiple web services to be generated.
    but this is not what I want to do .
    What we are trying to do is to generate web services at the project level. I am following instructions in OTN web services tutorial :
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/ws/wsandascontrol.htm
    So , this is what I do :
    1. Right-click on my project and select New from the context menu.
    2. In the New Gallery, expand Business Tier in the Categories list and select Web Services, then select Java Web Service from the Items list. Click OK.
    3. In the Select J2EE Web Service Version dialog, select J2EE 1.4 (JAX-RPC) Web Service, then click OK.
    4. Click past the welcome page
    5. This brings me to the page where I can select the web service and class.
    This is where I am stuck - it seems I can only select one web service here . Unless I am missing something.
    Or should I just repeat the process multiple times - running the wizard once for each class ?
    Thanks for the help.

  • "Define Web Service" - Security Issues

    Hello all,
    I have successfully defined a Web service with the wizard in ID. So I already have my WSDL file.
    Now, I need to use this WSDL file from a Web Application that exposed to all public internet.
    Now my question is, how is security managed for this web service? I mean, if the web service is exposed to any user of the web application in the internet, how can I assure that, the information in the WSDL file will not be used to access the XI Server with out authorization?
    Who should be in charge of the security, the web application? the web service? or xi?
    Thanks,
    Felipe

    If you are using the SOAP Adapter for receiving the information it provides the features like
    1. HTTP without Client Authentication
    2. HTTP with Client Authentication
    Even you can select Security Prameters like
    1. Web Service Security
    2. S/MIME
    If you configure all this then which other kind of security you are looking for.

  • Error while calling a web service in web dynpro through XI

    Hello,
    I was following a blog for Invoking Webservices using SAP XI
    /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/09/03/invoke-webservices-using-sapxi
    I have done all the steps specified but when I import the wsdl file in web dynpro application and deploy the project I get the following error:

    where:
    bankws_OUT_MI -
    is the message interface name.
    I have defined a web service in the integration reopsitory as follows:

    'bankws_IN_MI'  or 'bankws_OUT_MI'.

  • No data in generated document/web service data source/complex response type

    I can define a report with a template with the BI Publisher server and the Template Builder Desktop plugin. When I use an sql statement as data source the preview functionality in Word and in the browser (logged in to the server) results in a correct report, with the correct data from the data source.
    When I use a web service as a data source I can still generate and preview reports but no data from the data source is visible in the reports. However this data is available in the Template Builder plugin in MS-Word.
    How do I know this ? When I try to insert a field from the data source into my rtf template the plugin shows a screen with the available fields. Or actually, the screen shows all fields returned by a dummy call to the web service. When I click on a field it shows the value returned by the web service just after the test "Example". I have set up my web service such that it always returns the same response.
    The field I want to show is in a repeating record, but it does not make a difference when I surround it by a group:
    <?for-each-group:/getValidationGroupsResponse/body/validationGroupList/validationGroup[1];./name?><?name?><?end for-each-group?>
    Neither does looping over all fields display any data:
    <?for-each-group:/getValidationGroupsResponse/body/validationGroupList/validationGroup;./name?><?name?><?end for-each-group?>
    The fact that the response of my web service data source contains repeating records might be different from what others have tested so far.
    I also found two other features when defining reports. I mention them here because they could be related to my problem. When I define two data source for my report, a web service and an sql query then only the fields from the sql query are visible in MS-Word/Template Builder. Even when the Data Model specifies the web service as "Main Data Set". And the "Default data source" is always a database even when the Data Model only defines a web service as "Data Set".
    Edited by: CalculateOnline.org on May 21, 2010 2:36 PM: changed title

    Unfortunately I can not test against a public webservice and follow the examples in the tutorials, since BI Publisher does not seem to offer any proxy configuration to connect to the internet.
    My local webservice returns the following data, visible when viewing the report from the backend, when no template has been defined yet:
    <ns2:getValidationGroupsResponse xmlns:ns2="amsterdam/wabo/services/data/validationOperations" xmlns="amsterdam/wabo/services/data/common">
    <ns2:responseHeader>
    <resultaatcode>OK</resultaatcode>
    </ns2:responseHeader>
    <ns2:body>
    <ns2:validationGroupList>
    <ns2:validationGroup>
    <ns2:name>testgroep1</ns2:name>
    <ns2:caption>kop1</ns2:caption>
    <ns2:description>Voor testen ontvankelijkheidstest 1</ns2:description>
    </ns2:validationGroup>
    <ns2:validationGroup>
    <ns2:name>testgroep2</ns2:name>
    <ns2:caption>kop2</ns2:caption>
    <ns2:description>Voor testen ontvankelijkheidstest 2</ns2:description>
    </ns2:validationGroup>
    </ns2:validationGroupList>
    </ns2:body>
    </ns2:getValidationGroupsResponse>
    After defining the template, the values of the first group are visible in MS-Word as well, as example values.
    I put the the template in a public place:
    http://www.calculateonline.org/projects/bipublisher/template1.rtf
    Just in case you need the wsdl as well:
    http://www.calculateonline.org/projects/bipublisher/validationOperations.wsdl

  • How to use the same element in different Web-Services?

    I have defined a web-services in two WSDL files.
    I want to use the same type in this two services. Because if one service call the other one, it could pass the class it just got. Otherwise, the classes can't be casted.
    Web-Service1:
    public com.package1.State inputValue (com.package1.State state) {
    return state;
    Web-Service2:
    public com.package2.State inputValue (com.package2.State state) {
    return state;
    }And now, If I call from the Service2, the Service1 and put
    Service1.inputValue(com.package2.State state) ;
    I can't do this, can't cast and so on. But I want my tool WSDL2Java, will create the same State.class for two Web-Services, like:
    Web-Service1:
    public com.package3.State inputValue (com.package3.State state) {
    return state;
    Web-Service2:
    public com.package3.State inputValue (com.package3.State state) {
    return state;
    }Is it possible? How to define it in wsdl?
    Thanks in advance.

    You can certainly do this in WSDL, simply put your
    common element in a schema file and "include" it into
    each of your WSDL files. Obviously your element will
    have to use the same namespace in all places.
    I'm not sure whether wsdl2java can cope with
    "include" statements in WSDL. I know plenty of other
    similar tools, e.g. Axis and .Net tools, didn't
    support this however they may have moved on since I
    used them.
    To get around this you have to "manually" include the
    schema in each wsdl for code generation purposes.Thanks for the answer. I did as you said and it works fine.

  • Calling a web service In Netweaver 7.0 abap stack through an external alias

    Hello,
    In CRM 2007 (Netweaver 7.0 abap stack SP 16), we have defined a web service from a module function using the wizard and configuring it with SOAMANAGER.
    This web service works great when calling it with the "official" URL, something like :
    http://host.domain:port/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/zwebservice/client/zoperation/zbinding
    We would like to use a more simple URL. So with SICF, I have created an external alias /zwebservice which points to the "official" URL.
    The problem is that it does not work. I get every time an HTTP 500 error code and an error Message
    u201CThe configuration of the http server is missingu201D.
    Do you think that it is possible to call a web service through an external alias ?
    Thanks in advance for any ideas or solution !
    Olivier

    Seems that no one has tried it...
    I close the question.

  • Protecting a Web service in XI 7.0

    Hello Experts,
    The developers have asked my help to disable access through plain http to a web service...
    In theory, ssl is already enabled. As I'm able to access XI through the browser using https (the certificate is self-signed, but that shouldn't be a problem).
    The Sender Channel is set as HTTPS with client autentication. We've defined the web service and we are able to use it with plain http.
    All the documentation I have found throughout the web is to seal the whole xi with ssl, but we want to secure just one web service.
    any help?
    Cheers,
    Thiago Delou
    Basis Team

    I dont think SSL for a service means enabling HTTPS access of the server. For enabling one service to use SSL, you have get a certificate from a CA, import it in to PI Java/ABAP stacks. Then configure in the ABAP stack for the plain http adapter (you might have to create a new one by copying the default HTTP adapter on the ABAP stack).
    Not absolutely sure though. Just some info..!!

  • Web services IN XI

    Hi all,
    I´m new to WS, I have to public a WS from XI. It is going to be called from an external java program. This external program is going to send data to XI, XI is going to process it and send back to the java program the result for example the output from a mapping. My question is:
    If there are any error in XI it is going to be sent throw the xi WS?
    I would appreciate information or where a can find this information.
    Many thanks
    Noelia

    hi,
    to establish a web service it is quiet simple.
    Just establish your process and in directory, you
    can define your web service (Tools -> define web
    service) based on an SOAP outbound interface.
    Important is the URL you have to give while defining.
    It should be like in this blog:
    /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/03/01/testing-xi-exposed-web-services
    More complicate is consuming web service with Java.
    I first test them with the tool XML Spy. I also
    tried it with Java directly, but failed. But I just
    tried it not seriously, but if you have a solution
    let me know
    The problem is the authentification I think.
    Once a web service is consumed (for example with XML
    Spy) error messages will be returned by XI.
