Delegated a object and create a subtype

Hi:
I am making a Workflow in MM for sending mails.
And I need to aggregate a method.
I am using the BUS2012, and I make a copy of that one ZUS2012
I know that I have to delegated the object ZUS2012 to the BUS2012, but I dont how to do that. I am working in the transaccion SWO1 in the menu Settings  Delegate
In the Object Type I put BUS2012 and in delegation type ZUS2012, but it says: Select a valid delegation type
Why is this mistake happening?
And other question is Do I need to make a subtype of my BUS2012? If the answer is yes, where should I save it, because I am trying to save it in mi package ZWF and it says: SAP OBJECT SOBJ ZUS2012 cannot be assigned to package ZWF.

delegation type = ZUS2012 - in ur case.. this would delegate ur Z type BO to BUS2012
When u created ZUS2012 - did u create it with the proper super type ?

you need to make subtype depending on what u wanna do if u r going to add custom stuff... then create.
I dont really think you should have a problem is savin it within any package... somethin is not corrrect with ZWF. Try some other package

Usually when there is a need to change/create an adapter object, I suggest to change object class to CUSTOMIZING in R3AC1. Then save it and call transaction R3AC3. There do necessary changes and afterwards switch back to original object class. There is no copy functionality for adapter objects. Kindly use transaction R3AC3 to create a new adapter object and maintain all tabs according to your requirements. When you are finished, kindly change the object class "CUSTOMIZING" to the original class name you're copying and the new adapter object will be visible in R3AC1.

1) Is it possible to create custom object web service and used in external system ?
2) When we create the Web service from custom business object what the necessary steps(action : Create , Read , Update) require?

When you create a new object you have to supply the class to which that
object belongs. A class can extend from another class. If it does so
explicitly you can define the 'parent' class from which the class extends.
If you don't explicitly mention anything, the class will implicitly extend
from the absolute base class named 'Object'.
Your example is a bit convoluted: when you create a Derived object,
its constructor creates another object, i.e. an object from the class from
which the Derived class extends.
Extending from a class and creating an object don't have much in common.

How to create dynamic View Object and Dynamic Table

I want to create a dynamic view object and display the output in a dynamic table on the page.
I am using Jdeveloper 12c "Studio Edition Version 12.1.2.0.0"
This what I did:
1- I created a read only view object with this query "Select sysdate from dual"
2- I added this View object to the application module
3- I created a new method that change the query of this View object at runtime

Creating remote objects and passing the retrieved data to modules

I found at this Adobe tutorial a nice "RemoteService" class that creates a RemoteObject and contains the functions for handling the result and fault events. If I wanted to use this approach, how could I pass the data from the result handler to interfaces that modules from the main application could use?
I could put the RemoteService/RemoteObject in the modules, but (in my opinion- and I could be wrong) the best design seems to be using the remote calls in the main app and passing the data along to the modules.
Ultimately, I would like to know what the "best practices" are for creating remote objects and passing the retrieved data to modules

i am using visual studio and creating a C# application in .net. i am looking to allow users to open a pdf document and then use a custome symbols library to trace out objects on the pdf. the object i would like to attach to a database to extract the data from. is this possible

Sorry, I don't understand what you want to do. Especially "trace out objects on the pdf" - what sort of objects and what do you mean by "trace out"?
Also note that Acrobat is absolutely not for use on a server.

Y in java objects are created on heap only and not on stack ??

I need a answer to the question " why all the objects are created on heap only in java and not on stack " ?
In java a object is created when we specify new i.e. for example,
consider the following cases.
1.
Vector v = new Vector();
here object is created and the reference to this object is assigned to variable v. okie.
2.
when i write something like
Vector vec ;
Here i am creating reference variable for Vector. No object is created and no seperate memory is allocated for it. Reference variablesa are stored along with other primitive variables on the java stack.
My question is, in C++ by writing case 2 i can create an object and it is creating this object on stack. So why in java object is not created on stack while i do like this ? Why in java objects are created on heap only ?
If my question is out of interest of this forum i apologize for it. But if somebody can throw some light on it, it would be of great help.

I asked this question just to understand how compiler and jvm cud have been designed......i.e. to know the philosophy behind designing language.......
now what i cud surmise is that if objects were to be stored in stack then on calling garbage colllector , it may delete some unused obj and unreferenced object(unreachable object) and this in turn may give rise to non-contagious areas in stack, thus nullifying the garbage collector's objective of freeing the the memory. Again deallocating that intersperse spaces into one free block of space will be bit troublesome task.....
So considering above factor the designer of jvm and java compiler have opted for storing objects on heap rather than stack.....
If u have something to say bout this.......pls go ahead.......

Database Development and Creating Objects in the Enterprise

Hello Everyone,
I have found myself filling the role of DB Developer for a DataMart project in a large enterprise. We are looking at replicating and consolidating multiple schemas in near real-time into an ODS for Reporting and Data Integration purposes. I did a POC locally in DEV to create Materialized Views for this purpose. It seems to work fine, I've got them on Fast Refresh, added a unique identifier etc.
The DBA stated I was granted the Priv to create the MVIEWS bc our vendor requires more PRIVS than is normally allowed for other apps in the Enterprise and it was only done on our server. Now I requested to try the same thing, however on the remote ODS DB over DBLinks. He stated creating objects on the ODS is a 'bad idea' and not allowed without engaging the broader DB group, even for DEv purposes. He also stated that MOST enterprises don't allow creating objects, and only allow DML. Problem is, once we engage that group it could add significant time and money to the project. Which seems silly as I just want to see if it's a feasible option.
Any thoughts on this? Can anyone share experiences regarding what is and is not allowed at the DB level strictly for DEV purposes and not on PROD?

Thanks for the input jgarry. It does seem they are treating DEV like PROD in this case. Which has the potential to hamper innovation and new ways of doing things, especially in an aging IT environment where we might be stuck in our ways of doing things. It also sounds a bit general and not necessarily the case that 'most companies also don't allow this sort of thing'. I haven't worked in enough shops to say one way or the other however.
Yes, creating a local DBLink would be an option, but I wanted to test this method running across two physical servers ideally. Worth a try though.
