Delete a line in a header in Pages

Hello!
I'm using Pages 5.5 (2109) on OSX Yosemite. I've got a late year 2009 iMac 21".
I have a resume document with a header that contains my name, address, phone, and email address.
My question is, how do I delete one of the phone numbers listed in the header, without deleting the whole header?
Given my question, you can also tell that I'm a relative novice with Pages (and Word, for that matter). If instructions are anything beyond simplistic, then details would be very much appreciated!

You have to read all the file skipping the line 1, close it and open the file in write mode and override the previous one.

Hello-
How do I suppress the header on the first page of a document? I tried simply deleting the text from the header on page 1, but then it deleted the page header on all the subsequent pages. In the old days, you could just select "Different First Page", but I don't see an option for doing that. Thanks.

Click View>Show Layout
Then click the Inspector>Layout>Section tab>Configuration>First Page is different

Header and line item headings in new page in Sapscipts

HI,
In Main window, I am displaying the header details.
In a box below, I am displaying its item headings and item data details. Now when the no. of line items exceed the first page, they are displaying in the second page with other windows, but the header details, box and the line item headings are not getting displayed in the next page.
Can anyone help me How to get the box, line item headings and header data also in the next page..

Hi Rakesh,
The header details, item headings and the box are also in the main window, thus, if the items exceeded and a next page is triggered, it will still continue to display the items until the loop ends.
what you can do is that you can make a separate /E elements for header details, item headings, box and line items. so if a new page is triggered, you can call again the elements for header details, item headings, and box, then continue with the line items.

Header line only prints on first page of multiple page document

Hi, I've created a SmartForms table and it has the Header, Main, and Footer sections. I've created table lines for the Header and Main sections. In the Header section, I've checked 'at Start of Table' and 'at Page Break'. The form prints multiple pages fine, BUT the header line only prints on the first page and not at any of the multiple page breaks.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Using the header line as a work area means that you can use shorter statements; however, they are not necessarily easier to understand, since you cannot immediately recognize the origin and target of the assignment. The statements in the program that does not use a header line are easier to understand. As a further measure, you could have a further work area just to specify the key of the internal table, but to which no other values from the table are assigned.
Internal table with header line
you can use anywhere except obkect oriented concept.
Internal table without header line :
You should use in Object oriented concept..
Always try to use without header line,performance point of view it is best..

U can do this in two ways one u can short close the order by entering Reason for rejection in VA02 at header level and if yr order is multiple line item order u can enter the reason for rejection in any of the line item which u don't want to deliver.
This is called short close ( as the qty is not delivered fully).

Hello all,
if you have not yet solved this on your own, here is my solution: use a format type that has 60000 lines per page for your spool output device.
It all depends on the format type that was used for creating the spool output.
By default (in our system), we have 65 lines per page. And after each page the column headings of the ALV will appear.
What i did:
create a new format type via transaction SPAD->full administration->device types->format types (copy an existing one)
change"Number of Rows" to 60000 or something applicable
edit the device type of your output device (e.g. LOCL) to contain the newly created format type (via SPAD; Button "Formats" in device type maintenance).
That's it! Be sure to use this format type for your output device in the "Background Print Parameters" window (-> Button "Properties").

All other parameters you discussed before didn't do it. All ALV-Settings will be overwritten by the output device settings and its print properties.

Line items are printing different page

I neet to print line items in the same page.
but when i execute my pogram it is giving 6 pages with one line item each page.
how can we print 6 line items in same page if there is no space it must print in second page.

Hi,
You can specify, either in the style or in the form, that a particular paragraph should not be split in two by a page break. If this page protect attribute is set, then the complete paragraph is always printed on one page. This property applies only to that particular paragraph.
This attribute is not intended to be used to protect all paragraphs against a page break. The point is that a page break is by its very nature a dynamic event and the exact point at which it occurs depends on the current state (length and contents) of the preceding text. It is also possible that you may want to protect only certain parts of a paragraph against a page break. One way to achieve this is to use the NEW-PAGE command immediately before the text concerned starts. Explicitly beginning a new page at this point should ensure that a further page break does not occur within the text. However, this technique is not change-friendly. For example, you format your text with the help of the NEW-PAGE command so that no page breaks occur where they should not. At a later time, you insert or delete some lines. These changes cause all the subsequent text to be moved relative to the printed page, and you must check each NEW-PAGE command you previously inserted to see if it is still in the correct place.
To allow you to define the areas to be protected against a page break on an individual basis, SAPscript provides the PROTECT.. ENDPROTECT command pair. If you enclose the text to be protected in these commands, then SAPscript will ensure that each line of this text is printed together on the same page. If the complete text fits in the space remaining on the current page, then it is printed on this page just as it would be if no PROTECT command had been used. If, however, the remaining space is not sufficient for the text, then the PROTECT command has the same effect as a NEW-PAGE command and text is printed on a new page.
Thus the PROTECT/ENDPROTECT commands may be regarded as a kind of conditional NEW-PAGE command, the condition being whether or not the lines enclosed between the two commands fit in the space remaining in the current main window.
Syntax:

The text lines to be protected are enclosed between the two commands.
An ENDPROTECT command without a preceding PROTECT command has no effect.
If the terminating ENDPROTECT is missing, SAPscript assumes it at the end of the text.
PROTECT.. ENDPROTECT command pairs cannot be nested. If a second PROTECT command occurs before the first one has been terminated by an ENDPROTECT, it is ignored.
If the text enclosed by a PROTECT.. ENDPROTECT pair is itself too long for a single page, then a page break is generated immediately before the text and the text is printed in the normal way. It is then unavoidable that a page break will occur at some point within the text.

Are you using 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE' for displaying the header?
If yes, then I think it is not possible. Instead, use the events table to achieve it.
Use the 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET' FM to get all possible events and then modify
the events internal table to specify the form name to handle top-of-page event.

What are the odd lines on the header bar of Firefox for Mac 10.6.8?

Occasionally, FF gets these odd, jagged lines in the header bar. Hard to explain: https://skitch.com/dancapistan/gtu4g/firefox-lines
The lines seem to be different in shape and color each time.
When I restart FF, the lines go away for a time.

I have Firefox 9.0.1 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I have also had the problem of errors in the Firefox graphic user interface (GUI) that appear as jagged lines and pixels over the title bar, back and forward buttons, over words in the address bar and in the Google search box, and over tabs. If I continue to use Firefox when this happens, Firefox and the Mac OS will freeze within a minute or two. I then have to shut down the computer and restart, as I can not Force Quit Firefox from the Firefox dock icon or from the Apple menu icon at the left of the Mac OS menu bar, which is at the top of the screen. I have not tried the Command + Option + Escape keyboard combination yet to see if this will bring up the Force Quit window.
I have used Firefox for years and never had problems like this before. Firefox 3.6 on Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 was stable. I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Firefox 8, which had the same problems as Firefox 9. To make sure that the problem was not an OS upgrade issue, I erased and formatted my hard drive and did a clean install of Snow Leopard, but Firefox 9 is still apparently unstable. I have not noticed similar problems with iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, Pages or Safari, but I do not use these applications as heavily. For a short while, I tried Firefox 3.6 on Snow Leopard, and it seemed to be stable, without the problems of Firefox 8 & 9. If I continue to have problems with Firefox 9, I plan to go back to Firefox 3.6 for a longer period to see if it remains stable.

A line in a header?

I want to underline (the whole length of the page) my header, so it appears in every header. Any ideas? If I insert a line in the header, trying to stretch it makes it wander from the header box; thus, keeping it from repeating. Thanks!

Do you mean the length (vertical) of the page or width (horizontal)?
A paragraph, with or without text, can have a line above, below or surrounding it which is controlled by:
+Inspector > Text (T) > More > Border & Rules+
This sticks with the text and can be the full width of the line or partly inset from the left or the right.

Delete a line item according to Mat erial code

I need to write an ABAP program to delete a line item according to some Material codes in a given Quotation(Revised).
I want to know what are the undelying fields and tables to be queried for a revised Quotation. Where do i find a give line item in a Quotation?

Initially Check the table VBAK for the Quotations, this can be done with the statement
Select * from VBAK where VBAK-AUART = QT.
Once the records are selected from the header table, go to the lines table [VBAP] and check for the material codes.
Select * from VBAP where VBAP-VBELN = VBAK-VBELN.
Read all the line and check for the material code.
Check all the line details to be matched with the material code.

Crystal Reports 9: Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.

I have a report that has the following sections.
GH1
GH2a
GH2b - has a sub report
GH2c - has another sub report
GH3
GH4
GH5
details - suppressed
GF5 - suppressed
GF4 - suppressed
GF3 - suppressed
GF2 - suppressed
GF1 - suppressed
The report works fine wehn I run it using Crystal Designer.I am using CR version 9.2.2.693.
When I try to load the report in my application, I get the following error.

There are no 'suppress blank sections' option set in the sections where the sub-Reports are.
I also tried setting the No Default Printer option.
The report gets loaded from the application only when I set 'New Page after' in the sections where there are sub-Reports.
I do not want to do this; Is there a workaround?

We have several reports that were written in Crystal 7 (I think) and worked in Crystal 9 and X1R2 but now give the above error. We have tried jigging the report in line with the various suggestions but at best can get them to run through successfully with one lot of data and then fail on the second or subsequent pages when you vary the data or report format even slightly. We can report on every bit of data separately or in various combinations but not in others. Changing the bottom page margin by 0.01 cm can cause it to fail on page 7 instead of page 530 (for example). We certainly do not have large page headers (just over 2cm) or page footers (about 0.3cm). We do have some subreports in the details section but have used 'fit to section', added 'keep together', removed u2018keep togetheru2019 from just about everything we can (in desperation) but to no avail. We cannot see a pattern to what is happening. It would be encouraging to know that someone is actually working on this fault.

Is there a way to delete mail listing associated with a Wiki page?

There seems to be no way to delete mailed in entries to a wiki page. In other words when I e-mail to a wiki mail list such as [email protected], the resulting entry can't be deleted. Is there a way to do this?
