Delete some of the leading zeros

Hi All,
Just wondering how I can delete some of the leading zeros, but keep two of them.
My field incoming will be '0000000003'. I want to use DELETE LEADING '0', but I want my output to be '003'.
This field incoming can also contain text instead of a number, so I don't want to mess around with field lengths.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Charla

Hi Charla,
try to use "Write to".
example:
<b>parameters: num(10) type N.</b>
user digit "20"
num has the value: "0000000020"
<b>write num+7(3) to num.</b>
num has now the value: "020"
<b>write: num.</b>

    Hi,
Create a new program that will read the fields..
Then put the leading zeroes in the check number field..
    And then modify the file..
You can use the FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT to put leading zeroes..
    Thanks,

  • Document Templates in MS Word - how to cut the leading zeroes in number

    Hello CRM gurus !
We use document templates in MS Word but have the document number printed with the leading zeroes.
    example we have now:
    0005000681
    example we want to have:
    5000681
Question - how to do that?
Is that in standard? The document number is the ObjectID tag as far as I know. Do I need to create another tag?
Or may be just call a function? Do I need to change my current Web Service Tool? Is that some extra ABAP to be inserted?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
have you tried to use this function call to delete de leading zeros?:
         CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
           EXPORTING
             input  = value
           IMPORTING
             output = value.

  • How can I remove the leading zeros on jpg files?

I'm looking for a way to remove the leading zeros on over 1000 jpg files, without changing the remaining digits in the file name. Is there some automated "batch" script?
    i.e going from 003405607.jpg  to  3405607.jpg

You could write an AppleScript. but it will be easier to get and use a third-party file renaming utility. I use the freeware NameChanger which works quite well.

  • Losing the leading zero in binary values

    Hi all,
Im currently creating some basic examples of bitwise operations and Ive just noticed that Im losing the leadnig zero of a binary value ( e.g.
decimal 1 (expecting to see bin of 0001) is manifesting as 1
decimal 16 (expecting to see bin of 00010000) is manifesting as 10000
    below is a full example
    import static java.lang.Integer.*;
    public class BitExample {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    System.out.println(
         toBinaryString(0x1) + '\n' +
         toBinaryString(0x16) + '\n' +
         toBinaryString(0x6a) + '\n' +
         toBinaryString(0x80)
I can see Im missing something, but not sure what. Can you help?
    Many Thanks
    Giles

which obviously returns a very different resultNo it does not ... let's translate the example to decimal (with additions instead of bitwise operations, but that doesn't change anything:
    1234 +
    0001
    1235and
    1234 +
    1
1235both notations are correct, aren't they? Now the second one doesn't look so nice (and usually the 1 should be right-aligned to be easily readable, but it isn't wrong, because of this.
The same is true for binary operations. The problem is, that while learning bitwise operations it's easier to unserstand if you always write the leading zero (as you do in your example).

  • Is there a way to remove the leading zero from the 24 hour time display in iOS8?

In the previous versions of iOS, the 24 hour time format for some regions dropped the leading zero from single digit hours: 1:23 for example.
In iOS8, it appears that once 24 hour time format is toggled, the time is always displayed as four numbers: 01:23 for example.
Is there a way to revert to this older format without leading zeroes?

Yes, a colleague of mine was able to figure it out. Just double-click the chapter title in the .aggr project. It places it into edit mode and allows you to remove the ".swf" extension as well as make any other changes to the name that you want. It's so easy now that we know how to do it, but it was tricky to figure out since the chapter list does not appear editable at first.

  • Want to hide/eliminate the leading Zeros in the Variable popup for0MATERIAL

    Hi,
You will have to write some code in F4 help BADI, please refer the sap note 1416952. And you can take help of following function module to remove leading zeros,
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT.
If above thing doesn't help then you will have to create virtual key figure.
    Regards,
    Durgesh.

  • How could I thoroughly close the Leading Zero function of Material No.?

There are only a checkbox in SPRO with the function Leading Zeros of Material No. in
Material Master->Basic Settings->Define Output Format of Material Numbers.
But this function either make the Material ID full of Leading Zeros or delete all the Leading Zeros of it.
Could I make the Material ID as normal string type without those functions?
Because I want to set my Material ID as different between '0001234' or '00001234'.
Could any one help me? Thank you very much.

    Hi,
Yes, of course you can, on the screen "Define Output Format of Material Numbers", you can find an indicator "Lexicographical", If this indicator is set, material numbers are stored as follows:
If the material number (numeric or not purely numeric) was assigned externally, it is stored left-justified as entered.
    Example
    Defined length: 8 characters
    Externally assigned number: 123
    Stored number: 123
    Note
Any leading zeros that may have been entered are stored too. This makes it possible to distinguish between the material numbers 123 and 0123.
If the material number (numeric only) was assigned internally, it is padded with leading zeros to the defined length and stored left-justified.
    Example
    Defined length: 8 characters
    Internally assigned number: 123
    Stored number: 00000123
Activate it and make the number is assigned externally, then you can realize your request!
    Good luck

  • Truncating the leading zero's

    Hi experts,
I have an ALV output, in which one of the fields is equipment number (equi-equnr).
There are some leading zero's that I need to truncate from the ALV output.
How can I achieve this? The code is as given below:
      fieldcatalog-fieldname   = 'EQUIPMENT_NUMBER'.
      fieldcatalog-seltext_m   = 'Equipment Number'.
      fieldcatalog-col_pos     = 5.
      append fieldcatalog to fieldcatalog.
      clear  fieldcatalog.
    Thanks,
    Ajay.

    Hello,
Your requirement is that you need to display the equipment number in the ALV without the leading zeroes.
    Ypur code is
    fieldcatalog-fieldname = 'EQUIPMENT_NUMBER'.
    fieldcatalog-seltext_m = 'Equipment Number'.
    fieldcatalog-col_pos = 5.
    append fieldcatalog to fieldcatalog.
    clear fieldcatalog.
Just before append statement add the following
    fieldcatalog-no_zero = 'X'.
Now try the same it should solve your problem.

    Sachin

  • Remove the leading Zero from the Query output in SAP BW ?

    Hi
    Experts,
Vendor Number loaded  as   (0000010076) from R/3 to SAP BW.
How to remove  Prefix  of Zero for  the Vendor Number(0000010076)  from Quey outpt.
    Regards.
    ASIT

    Hi,
    Please check out this thread.
    Remove leading zeros
Also check if there is any conversion routine used for that particular infoobject.
If ALPHA conversion is selected for your infoobject then it will automatically take away the leading zeros at query level.

Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad. Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This sounds like you are wanting to move your iTunes media folder to an external drive and have iTunes this folder from this location.  If this is the case then I would recommend taking a look at the article below.
