DELETE && UPDATE JDBC

I am working on XML to JDBC scenario.From one xml i have to update few tables,but before that i have to delete all the tables.
Now when i file is picked by file adapter,How can i delete the data in tables and insert the file in the tables?

Whether you are using JSP or not should not affect your decision (though I would recommend checking out the MVC pattern, and recommend against doing data access code from your JSP's).
You simply need one tutorial on how to invoke a stored procedure. The stored procedure you write can have INSERT, SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, whatever. You simply have to master the concepts involved in java.sql.CallableStatement. (And then you can get more fancy with vendor-specific extensions).
However, I am a bit confused. You want a tutorial on stored procedures, but then you indicate very normal DML statements like INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE. All of these (queries, DML and stored procedures) fall under the general umberella of JDBC. So, it is always a good place to start with a plain ole JDBC tutorial.

How do I insert/Delete/Update a row to the DB Table from Business Component Browser

I am using the wizard and created a project containing Business component which contain some table.
When I run the project I could see "Oracle Business Component Browser(local)" and when I select some table from "View Object Member" I get a window displaying all the field of that table and I could browse all the info.
My Problem is when I try to insert a new record/Delete the existing record or update some record it never gets reflected to the DataBase.
When I try to insert a new row I did save and there was a dialog box displayed saying "Transaction ID is 1". But finally It's not reflected in the Database.
Can some one guide me how can I do insert/delete/update operation from Oracle Component Business Browser so that the changes reflect to the Original DataBase.

This may be a problem of caching. If you do an update,insert, or delete, and do not receive an error, then the transaction should indeed be posted.
I assume you are hitting the Save icon after your changes if you are getting a transaction ID. Are you checking for the updates through another session (i.e. SQL*Plus), or do you then requery the View Object in the tester? Do you exit the tester and come back in and not see the changes?

ORACLE ERROR ORA-32314: REFRESH FAST unsupported after deletes/updates

hi,
I have a materialized view created with fast refresh on demand option. Now when i try to refresh it manually the next day, it gives me an error . I have both count(*) and count(1) inside the materialized view. There is update and delete transactions done on most of the tables. The refresh is set to be at 4 am though a refresh group . But it fails with the error shown below . Please help. thanks

I don't believe there is such identified for component. I think BOMMAT just sends current BOM state and doesn't provide any info about previous object config.

Can I have all list - Insert - Delete - Update in one page

Unable to delete update rule

When iam deleting an update rule it is not getting deleted and iam getting message saying underlying infosource does not exists .The underlying infosource is deleted long before any way how come deleting update rule depends on infosource. Please give me solution to delete update rule.

Try going into RSRV and choose All Elementary Tests => Database => Database Information about InfoProvider Tables and Databank Paramerters of *-Schema Tables for Infocube.
Those two options may help to correct the inconsistent state the database is currently in.
Another option .. copy your data target as a backup. Delete the data target, then copy it back.

My start up disc is full!!! Can I delete Updates files which contain large amounts of space as they are generally installers that I assume I can get elsewhere should I need them in the future?

You should not have any problem by deleting installers, but I would recommend you to make a backup of your files before modifying any system folder.

Hi Kelly,
Now I get it, but unfortunately there is no way to do it. TAF can allow only session failover, or query failover (a running query will continue in the other node). But anyway, there is no way to failover a transaction. The transaction will be rolled back automatically (no question or any other option) and the session will get an error. However, the session will be connected to the other node and can continue working or retry the operation.

I have a scenario wherein I insert few records into a collection table. I'm gonna filter few records from collection table based on the filter.
I want to delete the records that didn't match the filter. Right now, I'm inserting the records into a physical table and deleting from there. I do no want to use a physical table. Trying to avoid it.

Is it possible to delete updates?

Well, I let my MacBook download the latest update for the Keychain, but now I am wondering what went wrong: when it asks me to Install the update by restarting my computer, the process gets stuck with the blue screen and a narrow window which indicates "configuring installation". It lasts for hours and never goes on - although I can close the window and log in again - , so I wonder if there is a way to delete the downloaded upgrade and then try the whole thing all over again?

Solution Description
Here are the following suggestions to try out:
1. You may want to use oci instead of odbc for your RAM build, provided you
are running an Oracle database. This is setup through the RAA (relational access
administrator) maintenance procedure.
Also make sure your tnsnames.ora file is setup correctly in either net80/admin
or network/admin directory, to point to the correct instance of Oracle.
2. Commit or rollback the current transaction, then retry running your
RAM build. Seems like one or more of your lookup or fact tables have a
read-only lock on them. This occurs if you modify or add some records to your
lookup or fact tables but forget to issue a commit or rollback. You need to do
this through SQL+.
3. You may need to check what permissions has been given to the relational user.
The error could be a permissions issue.
You must give 'connect' permission or roll to the RAM/relational user. You may
also try giving 'dba' and 'resource' priviliges/roll to this user as a test. Inorder to
keep it simple, make sure all your lookup, fact and wh_ tables are created on
a single new tablespace. Create a new user with the above privileges as the
owner of the tablespace, as well as the owner of the lookup, fact and wh_
tables, inorder to see if this is a permissions issue.
In this particular case, the problem was resolved by using oci instead of odbc,
as explained in suggestion# 1.

How to delete/update GPS data using Lightroom?

Title says it all, but I'll explain why I need it.
I have a Sony SLT A55 which is apretty good camera, it has a GPS.
The way GPS work in this camera is it gets a fix, and then updates every undetermined time the position. That's okay, what is stupid in its design is, if you haven't taken pics in let's say 24 hrs. and you move several miles away and start shooting indoors (no GPS signal available) it will mark all your pics with your last known position, so now I have several photographs with a location I left several DAYS ago. I'd prefer the camera not to record GPS data than having a wrong location, but that's another thing for the Sony forums.
So, now I want to delete (or update would be another option) the GPS data from the pics that are tagged with wrong locations.

Is there any way to do it inside Lightroom?

I’m a Nikon user, and here’s how I geotag my images when I want to (not very often). I use a Nokia N95 smart phone and Nokia Sports Tracker to track coordinates with timestamps. I use Nikon’s ViewNX2 to import the images from my camera (or card) to the final destination (folder) of the images. I also transfer the log file from the Sports Tracker to my computer. Then I use ViewNX2 to geotag the most recently imported set of images with the log file from the Sports Tracker. (I don’t know why but I have to adjust the time offset by one hour, fortunately this setting is sticky so I don’t have to do it every time). When the images are geotagged, I do an in-place import in Lightroom, and Lightroom recognizes the GPS coordinates.
ViewNX2 is a free download, and I think this scheme can be used to geotag jpg of tif images from any camera. The raw file capability of ViewNX2 is understandably restricted to Nikon cameras. You could try Geosetter, another free download. The problem with my system is that Geosetter did not understand the log files of my Nokia N95. GPSBabel can translate the log files to a format acceptable to Geosetter, but since ViewNX2 does importing and geotagging (and time-offsetting the N95 log file), I have no need for additional programs.
WRT to the original question ("how to delete/update...") you could try the following: write all metadata (keywords, settings) to your master image files in LR. Then use Geosetter or some other additional tool to modify the GPS data or the affected images. Finally, synchronize the images back to Lightroom, and select the option to use metadata from the images (instead of LR's catalog).

Ebo designer - Add, delete , update options disable

Hi
I am trying to add a new element in the EBO (Content Editor of EBO designer), or Add creating new package.
The Add, Delete , Update options are disabled which restricts me to add new elements.
In the security realms of WLS the AIA groups are added and clubbed with requisite user (As metioned in Post installation step of AIA 3.0).
Any hint will be highly appreciated.
If anybody have step by step approach for using EboDesigner, kindly share it.

Ebo Designer developer's guide has the information you are looking for. At a high level, you can only create a package under customer pkg (EBO should be created under customer -> data services). In the editor, make sure your business context is */Customer to create any component, add association etc. Same rule applies to any EBO you want to update. The business context has to be Customer for any operation to work.
