Delete z-field created by AET

I deleted a custom field created by AET, but in the custom fields list it was only marked as Delete , and didn't disappear. I still could see the field in the list of available fields.
Please advise.

Hi Dave,
Please follow below steps:
1. First remove the field from view configuration.
2. Then go to AET, navigate to the enhancement, select the field and delete (while deleting the generate field must be checked)
otherwise it wont get deleted.

How to eliminate a field created by Application Enhancement Tool

Hello All,
I´ve created some fields with Application Enhancement Tool and now i need to delete one of then. When i select at webclient to delete it, system says that i need to do manual steps to eliminate the field. Can anybody tell me what are this manual steps?
Another thing, is there any way to update entries of combo fields created by AET without being at webclient?

Hi,
could you send me the text which describe the manual step?
As far as I know the only manual step that you have to do after deleting the AET field is remove the field from the UI Configuration.
Updating the entries of the entries of the combo field(dropdown list box) can be done via AET.
Technically, you can also directly edit the generated Domain. However, I would not recommend you to do this.
It is better, if you update the entries via AET.

Contact quick create for AET field with contact subtype

I enabled the account quick create function in CRM 7.0 EHP2 environment. The funtion works well in the opportunity with standerd account and contact fields.
In opportunity, I created 2 AET fields with the application subtype of ACCOUNT and CONTACT. The account quick create function works well with the ACCOUNT type field, however, it does not work on the AET field with CONTACT subtype.
Is there anything I need to turn on or just the function is not there yet?

Getting Error while deleting a field from the 'Z' Structure

Hi All,
I have created a 'z' structure in which i have 5 fields, now i want to delete one field from the structure, but it is giving me error like Invalid Change.
Its a structure so i cant activate and adjust as we do for Tables.(se14)

I have not used this field in any FM/ Report.
I have tried log off and then log on. but it make no difference.
Now the Other scenario is that i want to change the datatype of this field to TEXT25.
But it is also not allowing me to change because currently datatype is TEXT20.
So now how can i change the length from 20 to 25.

Hi Team,
I have created Administrator -approved Infopath form template to my site and activated same template in CA.
I have used this template in one of my Form library and i can able to submit the Form with success to the library.

Is there any other content type on library or check if there is any duplicate column? Could you please also show us your library columns detail? (pic is also fine of lib settings page)
If you have any ""Property Promotion" column then SP create those columns as site column and associate them with this template so check "Allow management of content types" for that form library as well.

We have a publishing website in SharePoint 2010. There are total 4 environments - Development, Test, Stage and Production. For some enhancements, we had to create some new lists and libraries. When we moved changes from Development to Test environment, everything
worked fine. Relevant lists and libraries in lower environments were saved as templates (in .stp format) including content, imported to higher environment, lists/libraries were created in higher environment using imported templates.
Things worked fine from Development to Test. We did similar exercise from Test to Stage environment. Now in Stage, when we access some pages, we get error message - "One or more field types are not installed
properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.". ULS logs don't tell which exact list has got problems.
On searching for this error, I got many articles that explain how this could happen when we migrate from SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) to 2010. Though our case different (as all our environments are in 2010), we still tried following steps.
De-activate 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' Site Collection feature
Go to https://site-name/relationships%20list/allitems.aspx. This is a hidden list. Delete this list.
Re-activate 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' Site Collection feature.
Make sure that new hidden list with one item is created at https://site-name/relationships%20list/allitems.aspx
However, this didn't help as we are still getting same error message. Appreciate if someone can suggest how this issue can be resolved.

Some time this issue occurs if you have any custom filed types in the list or library and that field type is not installed on server .
Can you please check that if you are having any custom field types column on the list and library and if that is the case you need to install that field type on the server. sometimes it happens if field types are not properly deployed / Installed then
you have to uninstall that field types (retract solution) and deploy it again.

How to delete the automatically created receipt in the expense report

Hi experts,
I am getting an error "no expense type for estimated costs has been defined. cannot save" while creating a travel request for an employee.
Base on the reply from Raynard which posted on Re: FM for trip exp
It's because "The estimated cost in plan and request are now included into fund management. So if you have active funds management, the entered estimated cost are used to make availability check and commitment. Therefore you must create an expense type in view V_T706B1. Under 'amounts are' you have to choose 'estimated cost, no reimbursement to employee'."
How ever, because the linkage with funds management, I faced the problem and also ckecked out the reason from SAP Help that "After the trip takes place, the user needs to manually delete the automatically created receipt in the expense report."
Anybody can provide the solution how to automatically delete this receipt before user create the expense report??

Check the BADI "TRIP_WEB_CHECK" method "USER_CHECK_GENERAL_DATA".
Here based on the schema you can modify the "estimated cost" field.

Error in EEWB deleting a field

Hello,
I was supposed to add a new customer field in a tab of CRMD order using EEWB.
When I looked at the extension already created i saw that my field had already been created but it wasn't available in CRMD_ORDER transaction.
So as to get what I wanted, I tried to delete the field from the existing task to create a clean new one.
The problem is that when I deleted the old field (using wizard) and tried to activate the former extension I had and error telling that table had to be adapted. So I went to se14 to adapt it and tried to activate again my extension. But there was no way, it said something like "Project could not be read".
As a result my extension appears red and broken and the wizard is not available any more.
Reading some posts of these forums I arrived to think I had to delete that broken extension and create it again from 0.
I fear I might loose my existing data. What about it?
I tried to delete the extension but it told me that "The order/task XXXX did not exists".
What can I do to go back to the previous version of my extension and to add my new field in my screen.

Yes you are right. EEWB will not support the deletion of a project if any errors are found. for your serino (1) u revert back to previous version and when that project is fine u can delete the complete project.
Regard point (2) if PE(1) was fine ( i.e without errors) then u can use start wizard and at the place where u ad fileds u can deelte the fileds . this works fine in CRM 4.0.
Point (3) is the way to overcome but always u can delete ur PE1 if it does not have errors

Not sure how it used to be in Pages '08 but in Pages '09 you click on the Advanced button and get a menu to choose invisible characters.
The best solution anyway is to simply drag over the return tab in the document and Copy/Paste that in the Find field and again in the Replace, deleting once to get rid of the tab.

Whether it exists in DEV system or not?
Take the name of that Search Help from PRD/Quality(if it is not there in DEV system) and modify/change it by removing that field from the search help in DEV system and create a Transport request and transport the same request to Quality/PRD systems
Now the New changes (in which the field was removed) will be over written on the old search help in the PRD system, since it is the same Name (search help)

Adobe 9.0 Pro deleting signature field

How do you delete a signature field in adobe 9.0 pro or standard? I can clear the signature, but not delete it entirely. I need to show engineers how to do this in case they create it the wrong size or in the wrong place.
In adobe 7.0 pro and standard you get the "delete signature field" option when you right click over the block.
Please help.

I installed Acrobat Pro 9 two weeks ago, and used it fine.
This morning, logged in, automatically started installing updates.
Then, opening a file in Acrobat, it opened the four I used yesterday.
Some of them are pretty big, and when I tried to close then, it crashed.
I tried to delete history, and then open them.
But, following your advice, I:
Opened Acrobat
Deleted history
Closed Acrobat
Opened Acrobat
Opened file in Acrobat
Seems to be working okay now. Thanks!
Still, seems to me that the latest update installment may have a bug.

Reusing fields created via EEWB

Hello,
I have a new field , on the Opportunity Header, created via EEWB ( we were on CRM 2007 when this was done) and I would like to re-use this field for display in a follow up Sales Contract created from the Opportunity. It looks as though I can create a new Model Attribute on the Context Node BTADMINH for component BT121H_SLSC, view BT121H_SLSC/Details and enter the BOLATTRIBUTE , through the relationship path BtAdminH-->BTHeaderopportunityext-->BTOpportH-->Attributes and this field can be selected, but I was wondering if there is another way to achieve this via the AET tool, it looks as though fields create via EEWB cannot be edited in AET

I agree on the option to enhance a "higher" segment and populate the value during the copy control (ORDERADM_H) is a better solution, but only if you can get rid off the field in the OPPORTUNITY_H (I assume the custom field is there) otherwise you will have the field duplicated, not nice IMHO
I don't see a bad approach to enhance the webui with a value attribute to populate the value of the previous transaction either.
About coding, I'm afraid I can't help it here, I mean, sure I can copy paste the code but I believe in:

I can't teach you about BOL, but SCN is full of posts/blogs/documents which can teach/guide you "how to fish", come back to me when you have a more philosophical question and I will be more than happy to help you (or at least try to)
