Deleted my microsoft pack

Hello everyone, I accidentally deleted my microsoft pack, and deleted the file from the dustbin, now on my applications I see a question mark instead of the word, powerpoint and excel applications. Would you know how I could get them back? instead of buying the microsoft office pack again?

Do you have the activation key? In the retail packaging, the code is on the installation disc envelope. If you do have the code, you can download the Office suite from -> http://www.microsoft.com/mac/office-2011-digital-download.

EDIT: EVen if you could recover the files, Office is probably going to ask for the activation key again.

By Toolbar, do you mean the Dock? The Translucent bar normally at the bottom of the screen, but sometimes at the right or left side?
If that's what you mean, the Dock is merely a shortcut to what is already inside the Applications folder's Microsoft Office 2011 folder. If you have Word inside your Microsoft Office 2011 folder, you can drag it back to the Dock.
If you deleted the Microsoft Office folder, or it is empty, you'll have to reinstall it.
If you don't have your registration code, you'll have to call Microsoft for a new one.

Deleted my "microsoft user data" and emptied trash! how to recover!!

I deleted my "microsoft user data" which contains everything to do with my entourage and then emptied the trash (not secure though). I know what was I thinking....I am running filesalvage. What do i do next in order to recover everything?? thanks!

First, you need to understand that it's highly unlikely the recovered data will be intact. The longer it's been since you deleted it and the more you've used the computer during that time, the less likely it is that you'll be able to recover 100% of the data.
This is because it's likely that the computer has written new data over the same sections of the hard drive that the old data used to occupy. This means that you may recover the folder only to find that Entourage tells you the database is "corrupt" or "unreadable" or something similar.
(Also - I encourage you to switch to Apple Mail and IMAP accounts for your email. Using IMAP, everything stays stored on your server so that you never lose your email, no matter what happens to your computer. For more information, google IMAP and read about it.)

Deleting the Microsoft Office demo

How do I get rid of/delete the Microsoft Office demo that keeps popping up when I access an Office file, it defaults to it instead of my program.

Which version of Office are you using?
My Office 2004 installation includes a "Remove Office" uninstaller in
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office/
There is also a "Microsoft Remove Office
Read Me" file there which includes:
To remove the Test Drive, on the Results screen, click the Microsoft Office 2004 (including Test Drive) check box to select the Test Drive, and then click Continue. In the Choose which components to remove screen, click the Remove the Microsoft Office 2004 Test Drive folder check box to remove the Test Drive, and then click Continue.

I cannot move, rename, or delete a Microsoft Word Document on my Finder

I had no clue which category to put this in as I cannot find another with a similar problem.
Basically I have a new Macbook Pro and a licenced version of Microsoft Office for Mac 08.
I had a problem with a file the other day which would not save, and over a long process I lost the file (luckily use time machine) had to reinstall office as word wouldnt open without option of sending error report, then many a times I got the error of it not being possible to move the document into the trash after making other copies etc etc etc
Now however that issue seems to be sorted, I have six versions of this document showing up in Finder, when I right click, the only options are to Open, Open Containing Folder, Get Info, and Quick Look.
The files are all Microsoft Documents but they wont open with this, when I click it, it says The alias “Final model plan and process.docx” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found. and then find alias which I dont want to click on Microsoft Office incase it corrupts it again!
Also the files only show up in ALL MY FILES not however MY DOCUMENTS
I want to delete all these files as I feel they are somehow the problem that lead to all of this. However I cant move rename or delete it.

I do not get 100% of the meaning of your first sentence (English is not my mother language).
Repair permissions is easy. Just launch Disc Utility (or Utility Disc in English ?) you find it under Utility folden in Applications.
Select your main Disc in the left side of the window and at bottom click on Repair Permissions. It will take few minutes. You will see a list of repairs performed: don't care if something will remain not repaired; important is at the end of the job you get the result "Repair succesful" or something like that.
Be carefull with Antivirus. I do not know Sophos but I know for sure that some Antivirus can give more troubles than advantage. And we do not need antivirus on Mac.

How to delete unwanted microsoft word files...PLEASE!

I would love to know how to delete files in microsoft word that are saved under my documents. The only way I can delete a saved word documsnet is when it has ONLY been saved to the desktop, then I drag it to the trash. When it has been saved to my documents or on the harddrive anywhere, there is no way I can find to delete it. And since I want to clean up my word documents I need to delete the files I no longer use.
Does anyone know how to do this?
I know microsoft word is not an "apple software" but it did come on my mac, and when I had a PC (a compaq) it was easy to delete fiels I no longer used. So I thoguht the best way to get an answer for this would be to contact apple support.

Late post for the archives--another fix:
I'm guessing the problem is trying to use File | Open to bring up a window that shows files, and delete from there. This works in Windows, but not on the Mac (true for any program, not just Word).
On the Mac, you have to delete files from within the Finder (the equivalent of Windows Explorer). Go to the desktop and hit apple-N (cmd-N) to bring up a Finder window. Set it to Column View. Now you can browse to any location on your harddrive and drag a file to the trash.

Accidentally Deleted/Moved Microsoft Plugins

Hi - I am having the exact same issue you described. Were you ever able to find a solution to this? Or, did you have to delete/reinstall office (which is what MS tech support keeps suggesting as my only option)?

Firstly, exec sp_removedbreplication should be corrected in your msg above to have the parameter of 'databasename' instead of 'sqlservername' same for the droppublciation procedure, it must be passed the publication name and not the servername.
Secondly, go to the properties of 'TASS' database and under Files make sure you have an owner specified, specify sa for example.

Deleting aborted support pack

When I was trying to install an application support package in SAP Basis 4.7 EE, it was aborted due to TMS mis configuration and showing RED symbol in SPAM Tcode. If u not in any phase then simply select display/define and select queue delete.
If u r in DDIC_ACTIVATION phase u can deleted the entries from PAT01 and PAT03 tables.

Contacts deleted from Microsoft Exchange keep reappearing on ipad

I have 1 user who has setup an iPhone 5S and an iPad to sync with his Microsoft Exchange account. Contacts and Emails were set to sync to the devices from our Exchange server and the syncing has been working well for several years.
About a month ago he attempted to delete or edit Contacts from his Exchange account in Outlook. Initially they appeared to be updated correctly, however, we quickly noticed that the Contacts would not update on either his iPhone nor his iPad. Instead, Outlook would revert back to the old data from his iOS devices.
I've been looking but have not yet found a way to force the iOS devices to accept the Outlook data as default, and it appears either iCloud or something with the newer versions of iOS may be dictating how the Contacts are updated or removed.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this or experienced this and found a solution?

If you have your mailbox set up as Exchange, when it disappears from the server, by nature, it "exchanges" with any devices you have set it to "exchange" with. I don't know the method of changing your mailbox to something other than exchange, but you could try to set it up as pop or imap and see if that does what you are asking......

How do I delete plugins Microsoft DRM 9.0.0.4503

I have followed the Help advice and tried to delete 2 files (npdrmv2.dll and npwmsdrm.dll) but they will not go away. Can't see any file attributes that might be causing this, but my tech knowhow is not great. Anybody got an answer please?

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
#From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

Firefox.exe is gone after deleting XP Microsoft Virus 2012. What do I do?

I finally got rid of this terrible virus, but now when I click on Firefox icon it prompts me to "how would you like to open this file", no matter what I do it says application can not run.
The firefox. exe file is also not in my task list (prosesses).
I guess I just need to reinstall everything? My itunes is gone too, and can't get into anything on control panel. I can get on internet though with no problem.

Probably the antivirus software has made your applications useless while trying to remove the virus. Re-installing should fix that. Hopefully your preferences have not been deleted.

Deleting Apps / Microsoft Office '11

Looking for some instructions / advice please? Bear in mind that I'm new to the Mac OS world...
I purchased Microsoft Office for Mac (Student & Home version) - this only includes Word, PPT and Excel. I'm consiencious of wasting disk space and I wanted to remove some uneccesary aspects...it also installed Outlook, Remote Desktop Connection, MSN Messenger and Microsoft Document Connection.
All I wanted was to have Word, Excel PPT not the other garbage (but Microsoft Document Connection may be handy).
As my copy of Office doesn't even include a license for Outlook I wanted to remove that RDP, Messenger and all associated files. What would be the best way to do this? I have moved the 3 apps to the trash...is that it? How do I remove associated files (if there are any)?
I'm still too used to Windows where i would just "Uninstall" and then 'search' to remove anything else. I would prefer not to download a 3rd party app

Do a spotlight search (upper left corner of task bar, looks like a Q, acually magnifying glass) Click it type in application name and it should come up with a hit, if you hover your cusor over it the path will be dipalayed. You can also click it. You can also search microsoft, as well as checking your applications folder for microsoft stuff you don't want drag to the trash. Shift,command delte will permantly erase them. There probably won't be much extra stuff, I've trashed the office before and it was gone. All the best

How do I delete other language packs?

So I accidentally installed Leopard with every language spoken by man. Unfortunately, I have VERY little disk space left. How do I remove the languages aside from English? I know there's a program called Monolingual, but it's not for Leopard.

You can do an Archive and Install and Preserve Users and network settings and this time Customize by deselecting the Languages and any other extras you don't want like extraneous printer drivers. After you retrieve anything you need from the Previous System Folder like plugins, you can trash the Previous System Folder to make space.
