Deleting Relative Instance of Table Row

In Table1, Row1 is a repeatable row with an autonumber field and add/delete buttons.  When you click "add" there is another row added to Table1 AND Table2, with the same autonumber.  When you click "delete" I need it to delete the same relative row in both tables.
So if the delete button for Table1.Row1[2] is clicked, I want it to delete Table1.Row1[2] and Table2.Row1[2].  Right now it will delete Table1.Row1[2] and Table2.Row1[0].
I know it needs to loop and count, but I'm not sure how to incorporate that into the delete action for two separate tables.
Here's my code so far:
this.resolveNode('Table1._Row1').removeInstance(this.parent.parent.index);
this.resolveNode('Table2._Row1').removeInstance(this.parent.index);
if (xfa.host.version < 8) {
          xfa.form.recalculate(1);

I think the problem is you use the wrong index for the second table.
Try the following.
this.resolveNode('Table2._Row1').removeInstance(this.parent.parent.index);

  • Disable delete icon in attachment table row in OAF

    Hi,
    I want to disable the Delete Icon in the attachments table in OAF Standard page. If the value in Title of that attachment row is "Requisition" the Delete Icon of that row should be disabled.
    It the Title is anything else then the Delete Icon should be enabled. Please let me know how to achieve this.
    Basically, if the Title is "Requisition", users should not be able to delete that attachment.

    Generally, the batch operation is the good choice for deleting the multiple entities . See this similar threads(http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/c5cf03b0-2001-4b11-91ce-7888bfc2605e/efficient-delete-multiple-rows-by-partitionkey

    Currently, the max number of Batch is 100 in one single request. I suggest you could submit a feature request via this page:

  • Dynamic declarative component won't work properly within table row

    Hi guys,
    I built a dynamic declarative component which basically consists of an af:inputText surrounded by a af:panelLabelAndMessage tag.
    The component works fine until I put it inside a table column, then none of the attribute values get set.
    The problem seems to be related to the table row binding #{row.binding.Name.inputValue} , if I use a regular binding #{binding.Name.inputValue} it works ok.
    The declarative components attribute is defined as
    <attribute>
        <attribute-name>kbez</attribute-name>
        <attribute-class>java.lang.Object</attribute-class>
    </attribute>and is used as the inputText's value attribute
    <af:componentDef var="attrs" componentVar="component">
        <af:panelLabelAndMessage label="#{attrs.label}" id="dc_plam1"
                                 for="dc_it1" labelStyle="white-space:nowrap;"
                                 showRequired="#{attrs.showRequired}"
                                 rendered="#{attrs.rendered}">
            <af:inputText id="dc_it1" value="#{attrs.kbez}"
                          autoSubmit="true" immediate="false" ...>The component inside a table column is set like this
    <af:declarativeComponent viewId="/WEB-INF/ikb.adf.kreda.basis/mitarbeitersuche/ddc/mitarbeiterLOV.jsff"
                             id="ddc1" label="Mitarbeiter"
                             kbez="#{row.bindings.Kbez.inputValue}"/>My JDeveloper version is 11.1.1.5.
    Am I doing it wrong or is this a bug?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,
    +#{row.binding.Name.inputValue} , if I use a regular binding #{binding.Name.inputValue} it works ok.+
    Don't think that #{binding.Name.inputValue} works okay in a table because it doesn't stamp the component per row. Actually I don't know if we support dynamic declarative components in a stamped environment (table). I know though that we don't for taglib declarative components in this context.
    Reason why it doesn't work: Tables are stamped at runtime, which means that for better performance, only the generated HTML is reused for each row with different data - not the component. Your component requires itself to be re-created for each row so it can re-read the attribute again. This is not the case in a stameped environment
    Solution: For your particular use case I don't think that a dynamic declarative component is needed as you can add the construct (af:inputText surrounded by a af:panelLabelAndMessage) directly into an af:column tag. The declarative component makes more sense for reuse of layout areas (e.g. custom tabs) that are iterated within an af:forEach (in which case instances of the decalarative components would be created).
    Bottom line: tables stamp their components and as such the attribute property exposed on a DDC doesn't seem to be called for each row, which is by design. This can be considered a bug if there is a use case demanding for a DDC in a table. If this is a requirement for you (and you can't directly add the components to the af:column tag) feel free to file this as a service request with customer support (required a support contract) so development can have a look if the requirement is feasible to implement.

  • How to Delete the Standard Database table KONV which is Related to ME47

    Hi Experts,
                   i am having the Query that i want to delete some condition types in ME47 Transaction which is related to MM in my requirement. that i have checked that all data is storing in KONV Cluster table but deleting data for standard table we should not delete it directly.so i searched for BAPI and Functional Module i did not get it . can you prefer and BAPI OR Functional Module through that we can delete Record in the KONV Table for this Issuse.

    WHY would you want to do that directly with a function?  Why don't you just fix the pricing issue in the RFQ's in question?

  • Triggering "exit" event of a drop-down list in all instances of a table row

    I have a drop-down list in a table row with multiple instances that performs a calculation on the exit event. This calculation draws information from 2 other dropdown lists contained above in non-repeating rows of the same table.
    The desired behavior is: should the user change their choices above, all instances of the drop-down list below would perform the "Exit" event script  accessing the new values above.
    My script is:
    RowOptionalCoverage.DdlCoverageType.execEvent("exit");     this works, sort of
    It only updates the first instance of RowOptionalCoverage and none of the subsequent instances. The user can "Tab" through the instances and trigger the Exit event for each instance, but this is not a reasonable solution.
    I have tried using the resolveNodes method without success. I understand, using the resolveNodes method may be necessary when referencing multiple instances of an object:
    this.resolveNodes("RowOptionalCoverage[*].DdlCoverageType[*]").execEvent("exit");     doesn't work
    xfa.resolveNodes("RowOptionalCoverage[*].DdlCoverageType[*]").execEvent("exit");      doesn't work
    No doubt, I must be using the resolveNodes incorrectly or missing something? Probably something simple.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    PERFECT!!! Works right out of the box!
    This has opened my eyes to the essential nature of loops. My form is very large and complex and functions correctly, Yet the coding is lacking in sophistication--no loops, functions, fragments or other code efficiencies. I am teaching myself (with the help here) and I have skipped learning and using some techniques when I could things to work using the  limited skill set I have.
    Sometimes, I just don't "get it". After I fail a few times, I skip it and try something else. Functions are a great example. I could utilize a bunch of these if I could only write one that works. It is frustrating. If I got one to work, I know could write a ton of them. But, there is some essential part of functions I am missing that's preventing me from having my first success with them. (I think it has to do with not understanding arguments completely).
    Anyway, I am overjoyed with the solution you provided and I understand it well enough to be able to use again in other situations.
    Thanks again!

  • How to identify the last instance of a dynamic table row

    Hi all,
    I am trying to figure out how to create an action for my form in Livecycle Designer ES2 that will affect the most recent instance of a dynamic table row. I have a table with a repeatable row where the user will enter information about a purchased part and I have buttons that allow the user to add and remove rows. I need to create an additional add row button that will add a new instance of the repeatable table row (this is not an issue) and will disable and change the background color of the first cell in the added row. The problem I am having is how to have an action that affects the last instance of a row.
    If anyone knows how to do this in Javascript I would appreciate some advice/help.

    Hi,
    I think this is beyond what an action will provide. You will a have to write some JavaScript directly.  When you call the addInstance method it returns the new row, so you can do something like;
    var row = Table1._Row1.addInstance();
    row.TextField1.border.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
    row.TextField1.access = "protected";
    To find the last row and do the same thing you can do something like;
    var row = Table1.resolveNode("Row1[" + (Table1._Row1.count - 1) + "]");
    row.TextField1.border.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
    row.TextField1.access = "protected";

    thank you in advance

    Hi Sureshkumar,
    1. Create a value attribute named <b>select</b> of type boolean.
    2. Bind the <b>checked property</b> of all the checkboxes to this attribute.
    3. Create an action called <b>click</b> and bind it to <b>OnAction</b> event of the button(whose click will check all the checkboxes) and write this code in that action.
    <b>wdContext.currentContextElement().setSelect(true);</b>

  • Delete internal table rows without using loop statement

    i have an internal table which consists of 100 records.
    i need to keep only first 5 records.
    without using the loop statement i need to delete the rest of the records. how can we achieve this result.
    i.e.  delete itab1 where  "recordno"  > 5.
    regards.

    Hi,
    Delete itab [FROM idx1] [TO idx2] {Where (log_exp)]
    To delete several lines at once, you have to specify at least one of the additions FROM, TO, or WHERE. You can only use the additions FROM and TO with standard tables and sorted tables.
    Delete itab [FROM idx1]
    If you specify FROM, all the table rows from the table index idx1 onwards are included.
    Delete itab [TO idx2]
    If you specify TO, all the table rows from the table index idx2 onwards are included.

  • Change delete link href for each row of table

    Hi,
    I am using Struts/JSP to do the following..
    iterate through a list of bean objects and show them as table rows. I can do this successfully. I'm using logic:iterate tags to iterate and bean:write tags to write to table columns.
    I have a delete link added to each row.. which is configured as follows..
    <logic:iterate..... >
    <tr>
    <bean:define  id="rowId" name="form" property="bean"/>
    <td><a href="order.do?action=delete&orderid=<%=rowId%>">Delete</a></td>
    </tr>
    </logic:iterate>I'm trying to investigate if there are other ways to do this instead of using
    "<%=rowId%>"...
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Check the event "EH_ONONE_CLICK_ACTION " line 58/59 it calls 'Relationships' window's outbound plug 'ToAccountRelationshipsEF'
    lr_window = me->view_manager->get_window_controller( ).
       lr_window->call_outbound_plug( 'ToAccountRelationshipsEF' ).
    keep breakpoint in the outbound plug, you can see the navigation details it could be done using nblinks/tlinks or by calling the navigation link of parent component bp_head/overview..
    Similarly EH_ONNEW event will get trigger when you click on new button and it allows to open the view in editable mode, again this is calling the same outbound plug ToAccountRelationshipsEF'.. looks like there could be dynamic navigation happening with the same outbound plug, please debug and see.
    To achieve your requirement you have to change the navigation to edit page instead of display page..please debug see how navigations are implemented.
    If by default navigation to relationship view is implemented in editable mode then it could be achieved via creating a read only config and switch between editable configuration and read only config. based on the source..
    Hope this helps..

  • A script to delete all table rows containing a specific text

    Hello,
    I've tried some old scripts but can't get around to the right solution.
    I need a script that will delete all rows in a table that contain a specific single-word text, something like "xxx".
    Anyone's got an idea?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    To remove a row use row.remove() method.
    So iterate through table.rows and remove the one matched a condition.
    If we talk about condition you have to be more accurate - what do you mean "a row contain a text":
         ==> 1st cell contains,
         ==> any cell contains.
    Entire row contents is an array of its cells.contents, so your 1st row text is:
    rows[0].contents.join(" ")     ==> string

  • Deleting Duplicates from a table

    Its a huge table with 52 fields and 30k rows. I need to delete the duplicates based on one of the fields. GROUP BY is taking a lot of time. Is there a quicker way to delete the duplicates using SQL.
    Thanks.

    How many duplicates have you got? Do you have even a vague idea? 1%? 20%? 90%?
    One way would be to add a unique constraint on the column in question. This will fail, of course, but you can use the EXCEPTIONS INTO clause to find all the ROWIDs which have duplicate values. You can then choose to delete those rows using a variant on teh query already posted. You may need to run %ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms\admin\utlexcptn.sql to build the EXCEPTIONS table first.
    This may seem like some unnecessary work, but the most effective way of deleting duplicates from a table is to have relational integrity constraints in place which prevent you having duplicates in the first place. To paraphrase Tim Gorman, you can't get faster than zero work!

  • Deleting Records from Referential Tables

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me in deleting records from tables in a hierarcial manner. For e.g C refers B and B refers A. I need to delete data from all three tables related to a where clause in A.I tried using User_constraints and User_cons_columns views. But i am not able to find a hierarchial delete statement.
    Venkatesh

    Did you look into the option of specifying ON DELETE CASCADE for your foreign key constraints. That way, if you delete a
    row from the master table Oracle will automatically go and delete the child rows. Take a look at the following script.
    Here, when I delete a row from table A for NUM = 1 the child rows from table B (WHERE num = 1) are automatically deleted.
    drop table b
    drop table a
    create table a (num number, name varchar2(40))
    create table b (num number, name varchar2(40))
    alter table a add constraint pk_a primary key(num)
    alter table b add constraint fk_b_num foreign key (num) references a(num) on delete cascade
    insert into a values (1, 'Test#1')
    insert into a values (2, 'Test#2')
    insert into b values (1, 'Referes#1')
    insert into b values (2, 'Referes#2')
    select * from a
    select * from b
    delete from a where num = 1
    select * from a
    select * from b
    Sridhar,
    Thanks a lot for your help.My exact need was to delete records in 50 tables starting with the key table for a specific condition in the key table.
    Assume table A has 100 records,B 200 records,C 150 records,D 400 records, etc
    When i want to delete some records in table A, i will not be able to do that as child records exists in table B and this structure will carry on till that last table in my application. How do i delete those specific records
