    Hello all,
I am working on creating a deployable proxy and client javaserver page to consume a web service. I have created a Netweaver Development component for my deployable proxy, I specified my WSDL file, built the proxy and deployed it. That all seemed to work fine. I checked the General User Output and did not find any error messages.
The part that I'm stuck on right now is the Javaserver Page. I'm following the instructions from the 'Creating a Client JavaServer Page' section from the website:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/d6/f9bc3d52f39d33e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
I have created another Development Component for my web module project. I also created my jsp file without problems. The next part is the one that I'm stuck on. The instructions say 'Select the name of the project and choose Add Web Service Client API Library from the context menu'. When I right click on the name of my web module project, I don't see this option. The closest thing that I see to it is 'Add Reference to WS Proxy DC', and it is grayed out.
I tried creating a different Web Module project that is not a Development Component. I created the jsp file for it. When I click on this project, I do see the 'Add Web Service Client API Library' option, but it is grayed out.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here as to what I need to do?
    Thanks!

    Hi Stephan,
    What version are you using?
I see your link is to documentation in the ERP section for information on consuming Web services. Perhaps this link might help you: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/81/12703e5da3e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

    Hi Saravanaa,
you must have missed this file while moving it to the server 'xxramesh.oracle.apps.ak.xxramesh.server.rameshAM'. Try moving the .class file under your JDevHome to the server under $JAVA_TOP.

  • Sams Teach Yourself Javaserver Pages in 24 Hours

    Hi.
I'm a new user of Weblogic and I'm presently learning JSP. Like most people do
I went out and bought a beginner's book on JSP.
The book I bought is Sams Teach Yourself Javaserver Pages in 24 Hours by Jose
Annunziato (DSc) and Stephanie Fesler Kaminaris.
Up to now I've spent the 5 first hours trying to run my first JSP on Weblogic
(seems like it's going to take more than 24 hours to complete the book!). The
problem was simply a wrong path for the compileCommand variable in the weblogic.properties
    file.
    the authors suggest the following:
    compileCommand=c:/jdk1.2.2/javac.exe
    when it should be:
    compileCommand=c:/jdk1.2.2/bin/javac.exe
The point I want to make is that this type of error is far too frequent in computer
programming books, considering the prohibitive price they're sold at, and it shows
a lack of respect on the part of the authors and/or publishers for the people
who buy them. I encourage everyone to do like me and denounce these people on
newsgroups all over the Internet. When their sales go down they will surely take
    action.
On the positive side, I want to congratulate BEA for their newsgroups. This is
how I finally got on the track to solving my problem. Otherwise, I probably would
have spent at least 24 hours hacking around just to get that first JSP to work
    in Weblogic.
    Thanks.

  • HTTP 403 forbidden message on deployed web page

    Hi there,
Since the day i have deployed my web application I am not able to login to the web page.
I am  getting error HTTP 403 Forbidden, have permission to view the webpage.
ideally it should have taken to login page and then asked for permission and so on...
What I have done so far?
    1. Given all the roles to the said user.
    2. Under security relams I have changes the password and tried to login again. But no help.
    3. Ironically, there is no error generated under logs....strange !!
    4. Check weblogic.xml and web.xml file to user mapping with the server and its role. All looks fine.
    5. Downgraded IE from IE 9 to IE 8 in hope if that works fine  or that could be the reason.
    Screen shot of deployed web page is attached here;
Any clue or suggestion on such issue?
    Any hep would be appreciated.
    thanks,

    Hi there,
    1. Its Documaker 12.4, I am using IE 9 for Web Server. While using Chrome the page is getting blanked out, that is yet another issue.
    2. Console, DocumakeAdministratorHelp,DocumakerDashboardHelp etc are working fine and loading correctly. Since beigning the Admin page is not working.
    3. Seeing the premission error I tried to give all the roles to Administrator in Weblogic Security realms, wanted to see if that works but I do not think with DD Only Security any changed would have reflected in actual file. [Role - Documaker Administrator, User- documaker Pwd - JMS pwd]
I did tried to change password, to see if that works but it was not working even then. Still getting Forbidden error
Then I also tried adding servlet alias to the default URL and see if it takes mr to login page; (screen shot attached)
Why all other default page is working with the URL defined and DocumakerAdministrator not working?
I see in the URL that it is taking to ADF control page, can that be looked for permission?
    Thanks,

I'm proud to announce that the 3rd Edition of my JavaServer Pages book
is now available at Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com and other online

The 3rd edition covers all the great new features added in JSP 2.0 and
JSTL 1.1, such as tag files (custom tags as JSP pages), the Expression
Language, the new, simplified tag handler API, XML syntax enhancements,
new configuration options, and a lot more.

Nice work, Hans. It's a tribute to you that you've hit a 3rd edition. I thought the earlier ones were very good. - MOD

  • How to deploy ADF page into Oracle Applications

    Hi Guys,
Is there anyway for deploying ADF pages into Oracle Applications.
Please share some links or information if you have any.
    Appreciate your help !!
    Thanks,
    VJ

You cannot run your ADF application  on the EBS web-server. You need to run it on weblogic or glassfish or tomcat. But you can call your page from the EBS. For this, just define proper "Function" in EBS that calls a jsp page. If you need to pass information from EBS to your application like USER_ID, you can in "Function" -> "Parameters" use $PROFILE$.USER_ID to get the connected user id.
You can also research AppsDataSource that you can define in weblogic , but it is more difficult

  • Getting error while deploying  jspx page given in OTN

I was trying to create a demo application(ExampleSedsApplication) using the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards111/adf_set_43/ccset43_ALL.html
I had followed all the steps as given on the website . Build is successful but when i tried to deploy and view the application it gives the following error and the target URL does not display the page. Please advice.

  • How to Deploy UIX pages in AS

Well iam working on an application made i ADF UIX. The JDeveloper version used is 10.1.2 and I want to deploy this application in Oracle 10G 10.1.2.
Could some one tell me how do i go about it?

    Dear Sir...
1- in the application navigator right click the view-controller project
    2- select New
3- select Deployment profile then select WAR file
4- click OK and select a name for the WAR file and click ok
5- a window appears asking for settings of the WAR file.
6- click on the Specify J2EE web context. and enter a name like /abc. select OK
7- The deployment WAR file appear, select it and select create EAR file.
what you have done so far is that you defined a packaging file that will contains all of your web pages and call the code. you also specifies how the context path of the application would be. i.e. you access you web application using the link http://servername/context-root/page1.do and in our case it would be http://servername/abc/page1.do.
Now copy this EAR file and take it to the application server in order to install it there.
1- The first step is to create an OC4J. The OC4J is a java virtual machine or a server that your application will be executed inside it. So create a new OC4J and give it a name.
2- Open this OC4J and select the applications Tab. Here you should install your application.
    3- Select deploy EAR file.
4- Give the path of your EAR file, and select a name for the application and finish the deployment operation.
5- Now open the first tab of the OC4J and select start to start the java virtual machine and let your application start.
6- Now you should be able to access your application using the link : http://servername/context-root/page1.do. In this example the link will be http://SV/abc/dataPage1.do where SV is the server name, abc is the context-root you specified already and dataPage1 is the name of the uix page you want to access.
you might need some other settings such as specifying the data sources and the connection to the database. For any other details try to read about how to deploy applications to the application server in the otn.
    best regards

  • Problem deploying Custom Page to E-Business Server

    Hi All,
    We have the below setup:
    - Single Instance of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 with Database 10.2.0.5 running on RHEL 5.
I have developed a custom page which has a "drop down box" with a few selections (type of the file) and a "file upload" item and tested it in JDeveloper (Patch# 9879989) and it works fine.
Now, I need to deploy and test it on the server and link it to a menu and a responsibility.
I am trying to understand how to use the Import tool (oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.XMLImporter) to deploy this simple page, but I am unable to set the parameters to correct values for import.bat file.

  • Deploying custom page to MDS respository

    Hi:
I built a new page under Jdeveloper with OA extension. It runs fine in my jdeveloper client.I'm ready to deploy it to the MDS responsitory. When I use the oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.XMLImporter to import the xml definition to the responsitory, I got the following error:Exception in thread main java.lang.noclassdeffounderror: oracle/jrad/tools/xml/importer/XMLImporter. I guess it fails to find the library in the classpath. Any idea to fix this. Suggestion is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
use import utility instead of XMLImporter. I will give example here
    import D:\Jdev\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\oracle\apps\imc\customer\account\createupdate\webui\MyTestRN.xml -username apps -password visadmin -rootdir D:\Jdev\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\ -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS_LIST =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = maui.usa.trianz.com)(PORT = 1521)))(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = VIS)(SERVER = DEDICATED)))"
    Bye
    Pal
