Smartform changes

Hi,
In purchase order(smartform), the net value, tax value, and total amt should display like XXXXX. instead displaying the calculated values in pdf/legal format. only when purchase group is 100.
(example).
Previous: (if pu.grpnot 100)
Net value    1065
tax                157
total value    1222
Requirement: (if purchase group is100)
Net value    xxxx
tax                xxx
total value    xxxx
Please let me know, how to write the conditon to display the net,tax and total value to XXXXX in pdf.

Hi,
Find the length of the string and put IF Condition or CASE Statement.
Like this.
if PUR Grp eq '100'.
if the string length is 4.
Put naet value = XXXX.
endif.

Smartform changes not reflecting

Hi All,
SRM 5.0
We made changes to the custom smartform .Added a logo and some additional text to the smartform. The changes are seen in DEV and Quality.But we do not see these changes in prod.
In D and Q, the output of a smartform which is a letter(pdf) opens up for printing, this doesnt happen in Prod.
Any Inputs shall be greatly appreciated!

Try to add some other text to see if the new smart form is used. If not please activate the new smart form and reschedule the action.

Smartforms : CHanges in one language are not reflecting in other languages.

I did some changes to the smartforms in language en and was trying to see the effect in other client in language de. But dont see any changes in other language.
Changes that i did were, Changing the text in the forms, addition of new fields, set some conditions to text.
Hope the problem is clear.
Please help.

After doing changes in the German Form in transaction SE63, the changes do not reflect in English language after activating the german form.Please help me with your valuable suggestion to solve this problem.

Smartforms - Change a text elements character Format

Hello,
I need to modify a Smartform by increasing the font size on some text elements. When I highlight the text element to change and then click the dropdown for Character Format I can click the format I would like but it never changes.
I've also tried resetting the character formats but it always gets back to it orginal size/settings.
How can I change the character format in a text element?

It appears I have to delete the field then change the character format to the font I want and finally drop the field back into place on the screen.
If there is another way to do it, I never found it.
Switching to the classic editor may work as well. Worth trying.

Dear All,
If i am designing the smartform i am displaying some table fields from different tables. For example
&vbrp-posnr& in to my change editor. when i am drag & drop on that particular fields that time when i
am activating my smartform i am seeing 2 to 3 lines of # symbols i am getting without my knowledge.
If i want to delete the unwanted # symbols i can't able to do that one. What i have to do?

There are two types of editor in general. The one we use generally in Scripts....and the other one is Word Pad editor. It just like working on a word document. So, now which is the one you are working on? Or in the text element you are just dragging the field into the text element??

O/p style for smartform changes with printer

Hi,
I have a smartform for which I see the print o/p in SP01.When I test with the test printer,o/p looks fine.However when I change the printer at runtime(or select some other printer in sel criteria),then when I see the o/p in SP01,the smartform data is printed in BOLD!
Can ayone suggest what settings need to be done so that smartform o/p is uniform irrespective of the printer selection!
I havent made any changes to the smartform smartstyle yet the o/ p is different as mentioned above.

I have made delivery challan form.Many times modification has been done in this form.
Like se38(abap editor)we are able to see the version management of report, Same way I want to see the
version of my smartform. Kindly suggest the method to see the changes version of smartforms.

Hi,
There is NO versionmanagement in Smartforms.
If you want to do a certain amount of version management you can:
- make a download to an xml every time you make a change or
- make a copy in smartforms to a smartform with a versionnummer postfix or
- for every change a single transport request.
- and for all make a document in which the changes are registered and in which version they are made.

You all know that In solution manager when ever you fill the transaction CRMD_ORDER and click
on some action E-mail will be triggered and this is done through a smart form mail which is assigned to
that particular action.
Now my requirement is to change some text in e-mail to bold.So,i did changes in smartform simply by
making the required text to bold.But the bold changes are not reflecting in e-mail.Still its displaying plain
content.So please suggest me what may be the problem.
The processing class used is :CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER
and the method is : CRM_SRVORDER_EXEC_SMART_FORM

Smartform Changes not effective

Hi Gurus,
I worked on an existing smartform making some changes. I did not take backup of the form before making changes. Is there a way to get the form before changes now. <removed_by_moderator>

There is no way you can get back your smartform until you make a back up of your form.
But, if you haven't released the form to QA or production then you can easily get back the original form(i.e. SF before changes)
Ex:
Login to QAS, give your smartform name and download you smartform, come back to development and upload you SF. this is the way you can get back you original SF.
Close the thread once your question is answered.

SE63 Smartforms: Change translation order

Im translating a Smartforms trough SE63...
the imported source text (particular the textelement) appears in alphabetic order... my smartform is pretty huge... and I would prefer the logical order of the textelemt how they appear in my smartform...
is there a way to change the order ?
ideas ?? : )

Translating smartforms with SE63 is a real pain in the developer's life. It's a though work, without any help from SE63. Even the search function does not work. I don't think your wish could be performed either.

SMARTFORMS - Change an import parameter in form interface

Hello everyone,
I don't know if it's possible, but I put some program lines in my smartform to clear some fields if the last page is not reached. The problem is that these fields are from a table that's stated as an import parameter in form interface, which means that data is taken from the program, right?
Am I able to clear these fields anyway? If so, which way?
In my code I'm comparing the systems fields sfsy-page and sfsy-formpages, if they're different I clear the fields, otherwise I don't, actually I did it because the conditions don't get the result as I wish. If I check "only after the end of main window" the whole table doesn't appear in my form and I don't want that.
PS: I didn't set this condition on table, I set it in the text.
Any ideas?

Hi,
You can do one thing.....create an internal table in the smartform itself....transport those values in this table and display the fields using this table only.
Now if the last page is reached u can use the main table (that is imported from the program). This way the original data is not cleared.

Smartforms- Probem in QAT

HI!
I had this smartform change in the DEV which I did successfully and got the output for invoice and sales order as desired . Then I moved it to the QAT and tried executintg it but unfortunately its not showing me the print preview nor giving a printout for the invoice and sales order. What can be the problem for it? The sales order and the billing document number that I tested on does exist but its not giving me the print preview nor the output.

Problem in invoice smartform requirement

Hi,
          Invoice smartform was developed without using the control structures, as some problems is occuring,
         i have used the control structures, earlier while calling the function module from the driver program.
         they have passed internal table it_head in the driver program and in the form interface of the smartform
        as i am using control structures i have taken in the loop. and passed work area from driver to smartform
        changing in the form interface of the smartform
        the runtime error is coming as The field "WA_HEAD" cannot be changed.
       can any pls expalin what is the wrong going on and steps to correct it.

That will happen because you are using local structure in driver program,passing internal table of local structure to global intetface at smartform ,you are using the same structure as in driver program at smartform interface(that is local to driver program).
create Global structure in SE11,,then use the same structure to create internal table in both side(in driver and smartform)
run time error will clear.

Hi Ankit,
One you have to change the form from the transaction as mentioned SMARTFORMS. change it as per your needs however if you change the interface of the smartform i.e. if you add any parameter variable or table to be passed to the form then you have to call the newly generated function module in the driver program. Or just add the new parameter you have added the smartform in the driver program appropriately.
Hope this gives you an idea on how to proceed.

Error while transporting LOGO to production

i have uploaded a logo using se78 , its displaying in smartform, issue is that when i am transporting this logo to production error code 4 comes up.

Hi,
Make sure you have included this logo in a transport request before transporting the changes to production system. The logo when created is not included in a transport request automatically and hence will recide in the system you have uploaded it in and will not move with your smartform changes.
