Deployable webservice proxy - post request

Hello,
I'm using a deployable webservcie proxy with WAS 6.40 and want to user HTTP POST requests. The proxy uses only GET requests.
Is is possible to configure the the deployable proxy to use only POST requests?
Thanks,
Frank

  • Public Part : Deployable Webservice Proxy DC

    Hi All,
    I have a deployable Webservice Proxy DC, which is used to create webservice proxy. I am using those webservice proxy in my Portal application. May I know what needs to be defined in public part of webservice proxy dc, so that I can use it as used dc in portal DC?
    Best Regards,
    Priyanka

    Hi Anand,
    Thanks for your response. I have already checked that object for null - it is not. The problem is I dont have this SECQANDAImpl class that implements the SECQANDA interface in my DC. This implementation class gets generated when I deploy the deployable proxy object. Though I should be able to cast to the interface, it is throwing this error. Any other ideas?

  • How to make to post request to WebService

    Hi,
    How can i invoke a http Post request to webservice url,The default test page does
    not mention any thing about this when a application is deployed as a webservice,It
    only talks about a soap client.
    I know that when a application is deployed as web service in .net ,we can invoke
    it using GET,POST or SOAP request,Is it now possible in the same way in JAVA webservices.
    If it is possible to invoke using POST please refer me a sample as how to invoke
    the URL.
    thanks

    Hi Suresh,
    Could you write a servlet filter that would scan the first few bytes
    looking for a soap header and if you have one, let it pass through and
    if not, then do your old style processing. This is just a suggestion.
    See: http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/webapp/filters.html

    The reason i am looking for this is ,right now all my code is java servlets and
    clients are making http post to my service,i am now moving this to webservice
    and all the clients might not be willing to migrate to making a soap request.so
    what i am looking at is that my webservice should be able to support soap request
    as well as plain http post without the soap headers.
    please provide u'r insights

  • JDev generated WebService Proxy not functioning

    Hello,
    my WS Proxy Project is not funtioning. I've generated the Project from a WSDL generated by an Oracle SAP Adapter connection to a SAP ECC6.0 system. The adapter works fine, the adapters' Trace File shows the correct data from the SAP System as a SOAP response to my request.
    But the deserialization always failes, because the structure in the SOAP response doesnt match the excpected one.

    Who can help me on this ?
    I've posted this right here, because the retrieved data is correct, so i believe this is not a adapter related issue.

    Hi,
    I'll forward this, but if the "the structure in the SOAP response doesnt match the excpected one" then these seems to point to a transformation problem. If this is blocking you in a project, I suggest to involve customer support

    "No WSDL document found".

    Hi Noman,
    Can you try running the URL in the browser and check if you are able to "view" the wsdl?
    For the second issue, i feel it could be because of the firewall / proxy issue. Try setting the proxy (if you are using one) in your jdeveloper-> Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and Proxy section.

    P.S : Post the JDeveloper version you are using in "all" the questions, which would help us to give precise answer. From the URL(http://localhost....), i guess you are using JDev 11.1.1.2.0, but you need to confirm.

    >
    If I define a prefix P2L in the expression editor to correspond to "http://foo.com/namespace/business", I'm able to reference the ExecuteResponse element as "./P2L:ExecuteResponse", but then I get stuck.
    If I try use a Rename action to change the namespace for "./P2L:*", only the ExecuteResponse element is renamed to <sof:ExecutResponse xmlns:sof="http://foo.com/namespace/proxy">. Upstream in the calling application, there's an XML stream reader exception because (I assume) ExecuteResult is not found and parsed.
    >
    You pattern "./P2L:\*" matches just one element so it's ok that the payload's namespace wasn't touched. If you want to rename namespace for all elements try "//P2L:*". However, I'm not sure whether this is what you want. Try do describe what you do, what you want and what you get instead.
    >
    I also tried using a Replace action against "./P2L:ExecuteResponse/@xmlns" to replace its contents with "http://foo.com/namespace/proxy". I also tried "./P2L:ExecuteResponse/@P2L:xmlns". Neither worked.
    >
    I think it's not a good approach to replace content of xmlns as this attribute is not a common xml attribute.

  • Truncated POST requests in IE 10 - In Response to NTLM Authentication

    In Internet Explorer 10, the browser is incorrectly truncating HTTP POST requests and submitting unsolicited NTLM negotiate headers with a  HTTP Content-Length of Zero Bytes.  This results in HTTP POST parameters failing to be submitted to the
    server.
    Assume the following web application with a context root of:
    https://w3.someapplication.net/webapplication/
    Secure cookies for this site are established at the context root of this application.
    To reproduce this issue, a secure session is established at a protection space deeper than the root context of the web app:
    https://w3.someapplication.net/webapplication/secure/login
    After establishing a secure session with the web application, some client side artifacts are retrieved from a web proxy at a higher protection space:
    https://w3.someapplication.net/webapplication/somejs.js
    Subsequent HTTP POST requests to a deeper protection space will result in IE incorrectly attempting to pass an unsolicited NTLM negotiate header to the server side, and the HTTP POST request will be truncated with a Zero Content-Length header:
    https://w3.someapplicaiton.net/webapplication/submit/form
    The result is that the HTTP POST parameters submitted to the last URL will be lost.
    This is reproducible against IE6 and IE10.  It does not reproduce against IE8, or any non-Microsoft browser which all behave in a sane manner.
    My Questions:
    Why is IE behaving this way?
    What can I do to make IE behave properly?  Please don't suggest that I change the entire structure of my company's website to overcome this kind of silly bug in IE.
    Is there a planned fix to correct this behavior back to the proper implementation observed in IE8?
    Additional details about this problem are documented by an IE Internals blogger at the following url:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2010/11/22/internet-explorer-post-bodies-are-zero-bytes-in-length-when-authentication-challenges-are-expected.aspx
    Michael

    Yes, I have read that blog post in detail.  All of the comments from Microsoft on this issue suggest making intrusive changes to the web application side to work around this "optimization".  This is not an acceptable answer.  This
    is clearly a bug in IE.  Evidence to support that this is a bug is that the behavior within IE's own browsers is not consistent; IE6 and IE10 will reproduce this issue, IE7 and IE8 will not.
    I don't understand your suggestion; "ensure all paths are configured to require authentication".  This is not a reasonable expectation for any normal web app.  Our application does require authentication on all paths. However, when the first
    authentication request goes through, a HTTP Session is established.  Any subsequent request to that domain will not and should not be re-authenticated.  IE making assumptions about the authentication requirements of a server side application is incorrect.
    Further, even if i did re-challenge the browser for credentials on every path, regardless of whether a session is established or not, how would I handle the requirement to serve client side artifacts from a web proxy within that secure domain?  Am I expected
    to force my web proxy to require an NTLM header to serve up a CSS file?  That is just silly.
    You also suggested that my application might be incorrectly returning a 401.  I can assure you, that is not the case.  The flow is this:
    Perform a signon to the application and retrieve some client side artifacts required by the splash page
    https://w3.myapp.com/some/app/path?query=string
    401 + www-negotiate response header
    https://w3.myapp.com/some/app/path?query=string
    browser provides a ntlm token, user is logged in, session is started
    https://w3.myapp.com/some/file.js 200 response code, no challenge from the server side
    Splash page is loaded; user submits a POST request
    https://w3.myapp.com/some/app/path POST request fails because IE truncates the request and attaches an NTLM negotiate header with Zero Byte content length.  This is an unsolicited negotiate header from IE.
    Honestly, it really irritates me when people suggest we should change our entire application structure to accommodate IE bugs or "features" that are completely outside of the HTTP spec. I understand RFC4559 states that a browser MAY initiate a request
    to a server which includes an unsolicited negotiate header, but it doesn't say anything about truncating the contents of that request.
    No other browsers exhibit this behavior, and even the behavior within Microsoft's own product is not consistent.  It is insanely frustrating as a web developer trying to deal with all of IE's little nuances.
    Is there anyway this can be turned off via a registry entry?  Is there any plan to fix this in a future release?

  • Incorrect MIME type for XML Data Connection POST requests

    It appears that Xcelsius 2008u2019s XML Data Connection logic does not specify the correct MIME type for the data it sends to the server in its POST request.  Using an HTTP debug proxy, I was able to see that Xcelsius sends XML data in the POST, but is setting a content-type of u201Cx-www-form-urlencodedu201D.  According to the W3C spec:
      http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/interact/forms.html#h-17.13.4.1
    Data sent with a MIME type of u201Cxxu201D should be encoded as key?value pairs, like this:
      key1=val1&key2=val2&Submit=Submit
    So, what Xcelsius is doing is clearly incorrect.  Worse, if your server process is a Java servlet, you may find that the POSTed data will be gobbled up by the servlet container and you wonu2019t be able to read it using a getInputStream(), or getReader() call because itu2019s already been processed by a call to the getParameter() method.
    The correct mime type for POSTing an XML formatted request from Xcelsius should be "text/xml".

    Hi,
    The Error #2032 your getting is due to the Flash player security.
    To remove this this error you need one crossdomain Xml file in the root directory which actually provides a lot more control over who has access to your data from a SWF. The cross domain policy is attached as crossdomain.xml.
    In the XML file, it is used a wildcard (*). This allows a SWF located on any machine to access your data source. You can certainly use an IP address or domain name to restrict access rather to opening it up completely. I always start with the wildcard to make sure my dashboard works, then start restricting access as necessary.
    Here is a whitepaper with everything you need to know about Flash player security:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_9_security.pdf
    Please let me know if you need any more clarification.

  • How to pass username/password through WebService proxy client to E-BS.

    Hi
    We are using ADF Webservice proxy client to integrate E-Business suite with ADF. It asks for username/password to access details from E-BS. In the generated webservice XSD file, a method is available with 2 parameters.
    1) SOAP header( Contains Username, responsibility and 2 more fields)
    2) Class object(Nested Object)
    However i didn't find "*Password*" field anywhere in it. Then how can I pass "*Password*" along with username to invoke this method?

    hi Dario
    Thank you for your post. It is really helpful. Now I got stuck with a doubt, in this piece of code
    final Binding binding = ((BindingProvider) servicePort).getBinding();
    List<Handler> handlerList = binding.getHandlerChain();
    if (handlerList == null)
    handlerList = new ArrayList<Handler>();
    They didn't mention properly about "*servicePort*". What object is this?
    I checked in Oracle document, even in that I was not clear with that piece of code.
    public class HandlerWS{
    @Resource WebServiceContext ctx;
    @WebMethod()
    public String getProperty(String propertyName) {
    return (String) ctx.getMessageContext().get(propertyName);
    public class Main {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    HandlerWS test;
    try {
    test = new HandlerWS(new URL(args[0] + "?WSDL"), new
    QName("http://example.org", "HandlerWS") );
    } catch (MalformedURLException murl) { throw new RuntimeException(murl); }
    HandlerWSPortType port = test.*getHandlerWSPortTypePort*();
    What is this HandlerWSPortType object???. Can you give me little more explanation about it?

  • Consuming WebServices in ABAP WebDynPro via webservice proxy code

    Hi,
    My requirement is to consume a webservice using WSDL(basic authentication) in WebDynPro ABAP. then based on the SOAP response I need to show a pop up message whether the response valid or not.?
    I first tested the webservice by creating LPCONFIG Logical Port and generated WebService Proxy class.
    It got response correctly with basic authentication enabled each time I send a request.
    Secondly I generated webservice proxy code using service calls on creating webdynpro test application with some UI elements. Service call created Nodes,attributes and method correctly.
    it's giving me error when it tries to invoke webservice method through generated code.
    Question is that How do we code authentication to the webservice method via WebDynPro ABAP code.
    I appreciate anyone who worked on this area and taken basic authentication via coding. or worked successfully through coding.
    Thanks

  • Getting a 502 Bad Gateway when trying to run a POST request for application on Lync UCWA on VPN

    I am getting a 502 Bad Gateway when trying to run a POST request for application info on Lync UCWA ("Policy prevents request from being proxied."). When I do a request without SSL, I get a 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
    Is this becouse I am on VPN and not on the internal network? There are some policy on VPN or the IIS internal that denies me access?
    I have not tried it internal yet. Anyone else with this experience?

    Did you figure out your issue? I'm having a similar issue. Even thought I'm able to successfully sign-in to the Lync Server and obtain a Bearer token, I'm not getting any response from the server when sending a POST request to the application URI (https://<pool_fqdn>/ucwa/oauth/v1/applications).
    Wondering if it's a policy issue and if so, why user policy affects this access?
    thanks.

  • Webservice Proxy from WSDL creates faulty XSLT

    Hi,
    I have a WSDL which generates a webservice Proxy in SE80 just fine.
    When I run the webservice the request is formed properly and I get a response from the webservice. The problem is that the generated XSLT seems to be wrong. When I use the testing tool of the proxy class I can see "original response" and "response".
    "response" was parsed by the XSLT I guess which gives me an empty XML-structure while the "original response" looks good.
    How can I fix this? The XSLT is quite complicated and Im not sure what I can do.
    Is it a WSDL-problem?

    Did you solve this ? I seem to have a similar problem after changing the weservice defintion I have a repsonse and Original response in the test tab. The Original response is filled and the response stays empty.
    However when I call the webservice in an ABAP program the response is empty.
    Addition.
    I have found the cause of this and will mention it here for anyone who has the same problem.
    In my case the reason for this behavior was a data element that was generated as type XSDDATETIME_Z. Once I changed it to XSDDATETIME_ISO everything was working OK again.

  • Reading POST-Request-Parameter-Values from WebDynPro now possible?

    Hello,
    in the past I always was disappointed that in WebDynPro there was no way to read POST-request-parameter-values directly after the call of a WebDynPro-Application.
    The only (documented) way to read / transfer request-data into an WebDynPro-application was via "URL query string parameters" in the request URL.
    The last week I forgot this restriction. I called my WebDynPro-application using a POST-Request-Parameter (cookie_guid) instead of an URL-parameter.
    After noticing my mistake, I was really surprised that the WebDynPro could read / shows the the POST-Request-Value.
    I didn't make any changes in the coding of my WebDynPro-Application (zvis_show_sso_cookie).
    After this cognition I built the following simple HTML-formular to analyse the behavior of the WebyDynPro by calling it with an URL-Parameter (cookie_guid=Url-GUID) together with the POST-Parameter (cookie_guid = Post-Value-GUID).
    After calling the WebyDynPro it reads / shows the "POST-Value" of the request !!!

    My questions:
    I there any documentation that describes the behavior of  WebDynPro after calling it by using POST-Parameter values?
    I believe in the past it wasn't possible to read POST-request-parameter-values in WD. Has SAP changed the functionality?
    Is the behavior I described in my example above mandatory?
    Regards
    Steffen

    As far as i know in general HTTP request  GET method is standard but in SAP POST is standard.  All the client request is passed as POST to the server in order to avoid the URL parameter length restriction in GET method.

  • Generating Webservices proxy in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.0.4270

    Hi,
    I have been using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 for creating .net webservice proxy for over a year now. Recently i upgraded the Jdeveloper IDE to 10.1.3.4.0.4270 and since then i m not able to connect to the webservice. Here are the steps i m taking to create the proxy which i did in the older version as well.
    New --> Business Tier --> Web Service --> Web Service Proxy
    WSDL Document URL -- https://ServerName/Webservice.asmx?wsdl
    I am using all the default settings from Steps 2 thru 4
    Step 5 -- Adding a package name, clearing the root package for generated types, checking all the other options on the screen.
    Finally click Finish.
    All of this still works if i were make the proxy in the previous Jdeveloper version. However with this new version i am getting the following error.

    I m not able to understand why its looking for a class SPIDRInterfaceLocator which was not built by the proxy?. Or does it have some other underlying message that i m not able to see. Please help.
    Thanks,
    -Seema Abdi.

    Can you compare the Web Browser and Proxy settings in your jdev installation.(Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and proxy)
    I case that does not solve your issue:
    Where is this service hosted? Is it on your localbox or you are accessing it over the net.
    Can you try migrating the project created in the earlier Jdev installation and see if you can run that successfully.
