  • Migrate ADF application from OC4J to weblogic

    Hi Experts,
    we are trying to migrate ADF toystore demo(Version 10.1.2.46 (Built on 9-May-2005) from an IAS10.1.3 OC4J server to a fmw11g weblogic server,
    We used the existing .ear from the old IAS server, and tried to deploy it though EM. Firstly we got below message:

    [Wed Oct 21 22:21:45 PDT 2009] Deploy operation failed.
    After installing adfmweb.jar as a library in target server, we tried again, but the error was just the same.
    Can anyone give us a clue?
    Thanks a lot,
    Todd

    That won't work. ADF 10g doesn't run on WLS. You need to upgrade to ADF 11g through JDeveloper.
    See the Upgrade Guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/upgrade.1111/e10127/toc.htm

  • Deploying ear application - migrating from OC4j to Weblogic

    I am trying to migrate application from OC4J to weblogic server. Apart from usual differences in descriptors, structure of EAR etc. I came across unusual error:
    "both the remote home and remote component interface must be specified. Currently, only one of them is specified"
    It is about deploying session bean. Usual EJB3 stateless session bean with local and remote interface, deployed without any problem on OC4J and JBoss. Of course, I know home interfaces are something to do with EJB 2.1, but this is EJB3 application and, I guess, Weblogic has full support for it. Does it? :)
    Anyway, is there workaround? Or am I missing something? I don't have to tell you what problems we will be facing if I have to restructure whole application with dozens and hundreds of session beans.
    Thanks a lot!

    OK. I just want to make sure that there are no problems with the deployment descriptors.
    To pin point the problem do the following in JDeveloper:
    1. Create a simple EJB 3.0 session bean
    2. On that session bean create a Sample Java Client.
    3. Run the Session Bean
    4. Run the Client
    5. If both are running fine, compare the deployment descriptors from the sample and your real application.

  • Problem with servlet after migrating from OC4J to WebLogic 10.3

    I come across a problem when I was migrating from jDev 11g TP4 to production version in that step also server got changed from OC4J to webLogic.
    I am running java http servlet along other jspx pages. When everything was on OC4J there was no problem whit security on this servlet ( servlet was under same authorization automatically, and I was able to create new application module on this servlet by createRootApplicationModule
    ) but when I changed to WebLogic 10.3 I come across a numerous problems. First one is solved i managed to put the servlet under same authorization as jspx pages by
    *<servlet>*
    *<servlet-name>report</servlet-name>*
    *<servlet-class>path.to.class</servlet-class>*
    *<security-role-ref>*
    *<role-name>name</role-name>*
    *<role-link>valid-users</role-link>*
    *</security-role-ref>*
    *</servlet>*
    but when I trying to create new application module I get JBO-30003 error which is Caused by:
    oracle.adf.share.security.ADFSecurityAuthenticationException: JAAS login error.
    Invalid null input: name
    Has anybody any idea what I am doing wrong?
    Thank you for your help, Rok Kogovšek

    for example:
    web.xml
    <security-role>
    <role-name>yourrole</role-name>
    </security-role>
    weblogic.xml
    <security-role-assignment>
    <role-name>yourrole</role-name>
    <principal-name>wlsuser</principal-name > <!-- wlsuser is define at wls console-->
    </security-role-assignment>

  • Can multipule users deploy application to OC4J on 9iAS r2?

    Is there a way to deploy applications to OC4J through the Enterprise Manager using different user than IAS_ADMIN?
    Thanks
    Marcel

    Hi Marcel,
    In Oracle9iAS R2 9.0.2, ias_admin is the only predefined admin user you can use to deploy an application (the Enterprise Manager website runs on it's own OC4J instance, config files are located in $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/j2ee/config, the admin user ias_admin is defined in $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/j2ee/config/jazn-data.xml). Futre release of Oracle9iAS will allow you to define additional admin users.
    BTW, what's the purpose to deploy applications using a different user?
    Regards,
    Chen.

  • Regarding Deploying Applications from the Apple Store to iOS devices

    Hi All,
    I am deploying applications from the apple store to iphones versions 7 and 8.  I can successfully deploy them as available but no luck when deploying as required, is this not supported if not can someone please point me to a link stating this? I was
    only able to find the following:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn469410.aspx - according to this it should work but the required deployment scenario is not working as users are not being prompt.
    Thanks
    Rasheedah

    You cannot require deep-linked applications from the app store.  To make them required, you must have the source files and deploy from your cloud DP.  Otherwise, available is your only option.
    Best, Jacob I'm a PC.

  • WebLogic 10.3 Problem when stop a deployed application from admin console

    I've deployed a web application inside webLogic 10.3 and Oracle jdk1.6 in a single server.
    The application starts up correctly. When I stop it the weblogic server says that it's really stopped but I can see that the application continues to write logs inside its log file.
    When I start again from the console the application fails to run up because it seems that remains some threads or instances of the previous start in the jvm.
    I think that the jvm of the deployed application is not stopped correctly but some instances or threads remains active.
    I've to restart the server completely.
    With others app servers I don't have this problem.
    There is a way to force the shutting down of entire jvm that starts with my application?
    Thanks for the support.

    Hi
    Issue 1: Regarding the deployment issue, do you see the line in your JWS?
    Following soapbinding annotation:
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.BARE)
    Change it to
    following soapbinding annotation:
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.WRAPPED)
    it should deploy fine. This is a known issue and BARE style is unsupported as described at http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs92/relnotes/relnotes.html (look for CR283457)
    Here is what it says:
    CR283457 - XBeans are not supported as parameters or return type for doc/lit/bare operations.
    Use of Xbeans as a parameter or return type with doc/lit/bare bindings is not supported in operations or callbacks and will result in a failure during deployment.
    Platform: All
    Workaround: Use doc/lit/wrapped for services that use XBeans as parameters or return types.
    Issue 2: Failure on the client side
    Are you using clientgen and a java client for the webservice?
    I found a bug on the same issue CR340707 but it appears we don't support Xmlbeans with clientgen and was closed as NotSupported feature.

  • Tomcat 5.0,  deploy application from original location

    Hi! I've an application that runs under Tomcat 5.0. I made a war file and deploy it fine. It deploys the application under tomcat directory hierarchy (webapps...) but I want it to be loaded from the directory from whom I am working, right now I need to re-upload the war file every time that I make a change in my code, so... this is really terrible. In Tomcat 3.3 you just build an .xml file and tell the name of the application and the location... I want to know if there is something like that in version 5.0 or how can I do the same (Tomcat 5.0 loading an application from my directory, not from its webapps directory)
    Many thanks!

    Hi Kiran,
    Please check under sap.com/local  OR you custom package while creating Web Dynpro Java application iview.
    Then select your WD Application if you found - Applcaition >> package >> then select Application name and click on next.

  • Deploying Application in OC4J 1013 using Ant

    Hello All
    I am trying to deploy my application in OC4J 1013 container using Ant. I am getting
    /view/webappdev3_cruise_view/vobs/Apps/eTA/build_deploy_appl.xml:26: Execute failed: java.io.IOException: /oracle/apps/product/dev/sso/1013/opmn/bin/opmnctl: cannot execute
    I have attached my build.xml file. Please let me know what could be the reason for this.
    Thanks

    Denis -- This sounds like maybe the RMI port that you are using to connect is the one used by the home instance. Have a look at the other instance you deployed it to and see what RMI port it is using.
