Deploying from a list with WLST

Hey all!
i have a little problem... and cant find any thread to this...
My position:
we get for our WebLogic always new deliveries .
In this, new deployments are included . Until now, there was always a fixed number of deployments and also clearly by name .
The change occurred .
There comes a delivery with any number of deployments with different names.
My idea :
Search all deployments in the current delivery - these are collected in a list ( Deployments.txt ) .
The Deploy function should work - in fact even the undeploy ( not tried ) :
for i in `more /apps/tenoss/data/delivery/CONFIG/Deloyments.txt`;
do
echo "Beginne mit dem ersten Deployment: $i"
. ${JAVA}
#x=` java weblogic.Deployer -debug -verbose -adminurl $URL -userkeyfile ${USER} -stage -name $i -targets ${TARGET} -deploy ${DEPLDIR}/${DATE}/$i 1> ${LOGDEPL}/$.log 2> ${LOGDEPL}/${i}.log`
#rtvl=$?
if [ $rtvl -gt 0 ]; then
cat ${LOGDEPL}/${i}.log
echo "Fehler beim ausfuehren!!"
exit $rtvl
fi
while ! grep -s "deploy application $i on ${TARGET}." ${DOMAINLOG} > /dev/null ; do sleep 10 ; done
echo "Deployment ${i} erfolgreich eingespielt."
sleep 10
done
for the undeploy I could also just use the " -undeploy " parameter .
Now I would like to try the whole with WLST .
Since I find the undeploy easier I started it and immediately ran into problems.
How it looked before:
edit()
startEdit()
stopApplication(DEPL5)
print "Applikation %s gestoppt." %(DEPL5)
activate()
edit()
startEdit()
undeploy(DEPL5)
activate()
( Of course with Connect , etc.)
How can I make something that he install from a list that reads deployments undeploy I want?
So for i in ( Undeploy.txt ) ;
do ...
done;
Does it work?
thx for help!
Simon

Basically, the construct $(command) takes the output of command and inserts it into the outside command...
for example,
if pidof xyz outputs 1248,
kill $(pidof xyz)
is identical to
kill 1248
There is a similar older construct that uses backtics (that's the one under the tilde, not the apostrophe), so that
kill `pidof xyz`
is identical to the above.  The new construct $() is more useful because it's easier to nest multiple commands as in
command 1 $(command2 $(command 3))
if that ever needed to be done.
So what the original command did was insert the output of the 'cat pkg.txt' command in the commandline.

  • How to display all items titles from custom list with checkbox to select for each user

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in a sharepoint 2013 development project.
    A custom list items will be created by admin with the following columns:
    Title
    Hyperlink
    User business unit (This column which is a metadata will be a userprofile property)
    In a page/form I have to display the list of titles with a check box based on each user business unit and each user will be allowed to check the list of titles and hit save. And then have to display the list chosen by the user in a webpart.
    If they want to modify their list they have to go to the page/form again and will uncheck the list.
    Am not sure whether I can achieve this through sharepoint out of box feature, I have not done any custom development.
    Please provide your valuable suggestions/ideas on this. Thanks for looking on this !!!

    Hi,
    Per my knowledge, there are no such OOTB features can meet your requirement, however, there is a workaround that if you can modify your requirement a bit.
    Based on your description, you want different users be able to select values from a list and generate a list own by them.
    If this is what you mean, we can do it like this:
    1. Create another list "Users" which stores the names of every users;
    2. Create a list "Result" which will be available for every user to add their own items, this list will have four Lookup columns and they look up to the "Users" list and the
    list you mentioned before;
    3. Users can add items into "Result" list by selecting the needed values from the other two list, then the items he/she created will be connected to them with the help of the
    Lookup column which looks up to the "Users" list.
    4. You can take use of the OOTB permission management of list to control the access of each item in the "Result" list, and it will be easier for you to manage and filter the
    information you needed.

  • Finding files from a list with dates

    I have two questions.
    1.
    Can I set the order of images in a folder to the creation date order prior to place them (i.e. their names) in a list, in the order of the creation date? Or can I create a list with creation dates in the correct order, right away?
    2.
    If I have a list with only creation dates, how can I find the images with that date and duplicate them to another folder?
    Thanks in advance.

  • PowerPivot refresh error with data feed from sharepoint list with empty exception information

    Hi,
    My Powpivot refreshing error seems to be different from what others already experienced.
    Scenario:
    Constructed an external data source in the format of Http://<server_IP>/sites/<mysitecollection>/_vti_bin/listdata.svc
    selected one table with some of the needed columns in the next step
    Create calculate colums etc.
    Create pivot tables etc.
    All worked well offline
    Upload the workbook into PowerPivot Gallery
    Reference it from a page through Excel Web Service webpart allowing manual refresh
    The refresh always reports failure with the named external data source
    I opend the log file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS and located the following error messages:

    Please note in the above message, NO detailed exception message was given. In other words,
    the exception information is empty.
    I checked as many things as I possibly could includin the security accounts etc. All seem to be right. But this empty exception got me stuck here.

  • How: can i get a specificated item from a list with more than 100.000 items

    Hi,
    i have a very large list and i got always an exception that the list has more than 5000 items and cant query!! But in the default list view i can see, order and filter all items. So how can i do this by c#?

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to get a specific list item form a list which with more than 100000 items using C#.
    I suggest you can use CAML Query with some condition and set Row Limit to specify the number of items to return.
    Here is a detailed code demo for your reference:

  • Join two list with condition using caml query in SharePoint 2013 with client object model

    Hi,
    Want to join two list to get all fields from both list.
    Am new to sharepoint and sharepoint 2013. Am working in sharepoint 2013 online apps. Am using context.executeQueryasync to load list and get items from list. Am able to get items from single list with caml query, but not able to get both list field values
    with joins.  I did lot of surfing..but not..
    Below is my code..
    ListName1 : "AssignedTasks"
    ListName2 : "Tasks"
     var assignedQueryTest = "<View><Joins><Join Type='INNER' ListAlias='Tasks'><Eq><FieldRef Name='TaskId' RefType='Id'/><FieldRef List='Tasks' Name='ID' /></Eq></Join></Joins>"
                    + "<ViewFields><FieldRef Name='TitleValue' /><FieldRef Name='ActionItemsValue' /></ViewFields>"
                    + "<ProjectedFields>"
                    + "<Field Name='TitleValue' Type='Lookup' List='Tasks' ShowField='Title' /><Field Name='ActionItemsValue' Type='Lookup' List='Tasks' ShowField='ActionItems' />"
                    + "</ProjectedFields>"
                    + "</View>";
                   var web = context.get_web();
                    var list = web.get_lists().getByTitle("AssingedTasks");
                    var myQuery = new SP.CamlQuery();
                    myQuery.set_viewXml(assignedQueryTest);
                    var myItems = list.getItems(myQuery, "Include(TitleValue,ActionItemsValue)");
                    context.load(myItems);
                    context.executeQueryAsync(function () { if(myItems.get_count()>0){....}
    }, errorCallback);
    Here am able to get "AssignedTasks" list field values but not able to get "Tasks" list field values.
    Can you please help me to resolve the issue. Or new idea for join. I have add the condition also in the query.
    If anybody have good sample, please provide.
    Thanks,
    Pariventhan
    Pariventhan.S

    Hi Pariventhan,
    I don't know about join but I have a workaround of this problem.
    Declare one variable (itemcollection) globally. Load all the items "AssignedTasks" using context.load.
    In the success method call another CAML query using <IN> tag of the ID of the items from the second list (Assuming you have look-up column of the ID of the first list to the second list).
    If this is not clear to you then please let me know. If possible then I can provide code sample.
    Thanks,

  • Pull list with 2 step transfer

    dear SAPper,
    We use pull list in the stock transfer,because the distance of staging area and raw material sloc is quite far (different block building) we must use two step movement type for transfer (303)
    The inventory will post the reservation from pull list with mvt 303 into good in transit from raw material (1010) to 1020(staging area)
    But some case is when the production order quantity increases and the production people create again pull list.
    here is the problem :
    the good is still in good intransit for staging area, pull list still create the whole quantity without consider that there is good in transit in staging area
    the pull list should only create the remaining increases because some is already availablt in good in transit
    is there any idea for the solution?

  • Update deployment plan definition with WLST

    Hello,
    I would like to write a script in order to get the existing deployemnt plan of my deployed application (Deployement plan is yet modified, I don't want to use loadApplication). Then I would to update my deployement plan (update/add work manager constraints).
    I can't find any WLST api to do that. The Weblogic console doesn't record the actions when I do it through the console.
    I would like top the the same as this link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/config_scripting/updateplan.html
    But with a deploymenPlan got from the server and not from the filesystem
    The only way I see is to use a Java parser un Jython to update the existing deployemnt plan and then, redeploy the application but This solution is very heavy in term of developpment. It should be more efficient when a built in parser
    Could you please help me giving me some information about how to update deployement plans of a yet deployed application with WLST ?
    Thank you !
    C.

    Thank you for answering.
    In fact, I have found the solution for my use case according to the previous html link
    The WLST plan seems to be accessible only by file system.
    If your application is yet deployed with a deployment plan and you want to update this plan, you have to login on the admin server via WLST,get the application absolute path and the plan absoluth path :
    cd ("AppDeployments/" + INTERNAL_APP_NAME)
    appPath  = cmo.getAbsoluteSourcePath()
    planPath = cmo.getAbsolutePlanPath()and then, load the existing plan :
    plan = loadApplication(appPath, planPath)after that, you can use the api described at the following link http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/config_scripting/updateplan.html to update the plan.
    Then, you have to redeploy the application :
    redeploy(APP_NAME)Thank you for helping !

    I'm currently dealing with this issue myself, except that my rMBP has NO articles in the reading list.  It's a brand new rMBP too, purchased just this week, with the 2.6 Ghz Processor & 16GB of RAM.
    Let's see what we can find.  I may just take it back to the Apple Store.

  • Is there an easy way of creating a distribution list from an email with multiple addresses? Those addresses are not in your contacts already, and don't need to be.

    I want to be able to take all the email addresses someone else has used to distribute an email and create the same distribution list for myself for future use.  I don't want to add all those people to anywhere in my contacts list.  I just want them to be in my "new distribution list", like "soccer families", etc.  I tried to copy and paste, but didn't get anywhere. Maybe I was close, or maybe it isn't possible.  Thoughts?

    Ed on iPad wrote:
    I don't want them in contacts because they are simply a related group (like my sons current soccer team).  People I may never need to email again after a sports season.  I don't want to have to have these people in my contacts permanently.
    You don't. When the season is over, delete them.
    But, the text clipping should work.
    The next IOS should have a feature "create mailing list from distribution list".  A fast and simple way to retain a distribution list from an email you received.  People get copied all the time using distribution lists they may want to reuse easily, like school, sports or work groups.  Oh well.
    How is that any different from adding them to Contacts? Here's the feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
    There is a set of Mail Scripts that has a function to Add Addresses from an email to any group. But, it doesn't work with Mountain Lion.

  • Help. Need to remove one of the listed QuickTimes from the "open with" menu

    When I bring up the 'Open with' menu on an audio file I have QuickTime Player (7.3.1) and just below that I have QuickTime Player (7.2.1). I would like to remove the 7.2.1 listing from this menu. There is on one version on my computer (7.3.1). The last update must have placed the newer listing in this menu and left the older listing. Is there a way to remove the older listing from the open with menu?

    Did you ever do an archival and install of your OS? If so, you have what is called previous system fold on your main hard drive. This is where you can find the player to the version. If not I guess what happen to you is strange...mmm... And I guess it could happen.

    While
    the contacts list is usually filled out for contacts that are outside the company, there are times when you would use a contacts list to store internal and external resources.  Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to re-type your internal contacts’
    information that are already in the system?  Now you can with a little InfoPath customization on the contacts list.
    Here’s our plan:
    Create the contacts list, and open in InfoPath
    Create a data connection to the User Profile web service
    Customize the form adding some text, a people picker and a button
    Create InfoPath rules that will populate the contact fields from the user fields in the User Profile store
    Let’s get going!  Before we begin, make sure you have InfoPath 2010 installed locally on your computer.  I also want to give credit Laura
    Rogers and Darvish Shadravan’s book Using
    Microsoft InfoPath 2010 with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Step by Step.  I know it looks like a lot of steps, but it’s easy once you get the hang of it.
    So obviously we need a contacts list.  If you don’t already have one, go to the SharePoint site where it will live, and create a contacts list.
    From the list, click the List tab on the ribbon, then click Customize form:
    So now we have our form open in InfoPath 2010.  Let’s add our elements to the form.
    Above all the fields, let’s add some text instructing users what to do with the the field we’re about to add (.e.g To enter an existing user’s information, choose the user below).
    Insert a people picker control by clicking the Person/Group Picker control in the Controls section of the ribbon.  This will add a column to the contacts list called group.
    Below the people picker, insert a button control from the same section of the ribbon as above.  With the button still highlighted, click the Control Tools|Properties tab on the ribbon.
    Then in the Label box, change the text to something more appropriate to our task (e.g. Click here to load user data!).
    You can drag the button control a little larger to account for the text.
    We should end up with something like this:
    Before we can populate the fields with user data, we need to create a connection to the User Profile Service.
    Add a data connection to the User Profile Service
    Click the Data tab on the ribbon, and click the option From Web Service, and From SOAP Web Service.
    For the location, enter the URL of your SharePoint site in the following format – http://<site url>/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx?WSDL.  Click Next.
    Note - for the URL, it can be any SharePoint site URL, not just to the site where your list is.
    For the operation, choose GetUserProfileByName.  Click Next.
    Click Next on the next two screens.
    On the final screen, uncheck the box for “Automatically retrieve data when form is opened”. This is because we are going to retrieve the data when the button is clicked, also for performance reasons.
    Now we need to wire up the actions on our button to populate the fields with the information for the user in the people picker control.
    Tell the form to read the user from the people picker control
    Click the Home tab on the ribbon.
    Click the button control we created, and under the Rules section of the ribbon, click Manage Rules. Notice the pane appear on the far right.
    In the Rules pane, click New –> Action. Change the name to something like “Query and load user data”.
    Leave the condition to default (none – rule runs when button is clicked).
    Click the Add button next to “Run these actions:”, and choose “Set a field’s value”.
    For Field, click the button on the right to load the select a field dialog.  Click the Show advanced view on the bottom.  At the top, click the drop down and choose the GetUserProfileByName
    (Secondary) option.  Expand myFields and queryFields to the last option and highlightAccountName.  Click ok.
    For Value, click the formula icon. On the formula screen, click the Insert Field or Group button. Again click the show advanced view link, but this time leave the data
    connection as Main. Expand dataFields, then mySharePointListItem_RW.  At the bottom you should see a folder called group (the people picker control we just added to the form).  Expand this, then pc:Person,
    and highlightAccountId.  Click Ok twice to get back to the Rules pane.
    If we didn’t do this and just queried the user profile service, it would load the data of the currently logged in user.  So we need to tell the form what user to load the data for.  We take the AccountID field from the people
    picker control and inject into the AccountName query field of the User Profile Service data connection.
    Load the user profile service information for the chosen user
    Click the Add button next to “Run these actions:”, and choose Query for data.
    In the popup, for Data connection, click the one we created earlier – GetUserProfileByName and clickOk.
    We’re closing in on our goal.  Let’s see our progress.  We should see something like this:
    Now that we have the user’s data read into the form, we can populate the fields in the contact form.  The number of steps to complete will depend on how many fields you want to populate.  We need to add an action step for
    each field.  I’ll show you one example and then you will just repeat the steps for the other fields.  Let’s update the Job Title field.
    Populate the contact form fields with existing user’s data
    Click the Add button next to “Run these actions:”, and choose “Set a field’s value”.
    For Field, click the button on the right to load the select a field dialog.  Highlight the field Job Title.
    For Value, click the formula icon. On the formula screen, click the Insert Field or Group button.  Click the Show advanced view on the bottom. At the top, click the
    drop down and choose theGetUserProfileByName (Secondary) option.  Expand the fields all the way down until you see the Value field.  Highlight it but don’t click ok, but click the Filter
    Data button, then Add.
    For the first dropdown that says Value, choose Select a field or group.   The value field will be highlighted, but click the field Name field
    under PropertyData.  Click Ok.
    In the blank field after “is equal to”, click in the box and choose Type text.  Then type the text Title.
    Click ok until you get back to the Manage Rules pane.  The last previous screen will look like this.
    We’re going to update common fields that are in the user’s profile, and likely from Active Directory.  You can update fields like first and last name, company, mobile and work phone number, etc.  For the other fields, the
    steps are the same except the Field you choose to update from the form, and the very last step where you enter the text will change.  Here’s what the rules look like when we’re done:
    We’re all done, good work!  You can preview the form and try it now.  Click Ctrl+Shift+B to preview the form.  Once you’re satisfied, you can publish the form back to the library.  Click File –> Quick
    Publish.  Once it’s done, you will get confirmation:
    Now open your form in SharePoint.  From the contact list, click Add new item.  Type in a name, and click the button and watch the magic happen!
