Is it possible to extract the text and images using PHP

Hi friends,
Is it possible to extract the text and images using PHP, in the same order as it is in the PDF?
Else is it possible extract the same as XML using PHP, or ASP
I googled it but its in vain, any help is appreciated.

I mean is it possible to parse the PDF line by line using the PHP.
I extracted the whole text but couldn't the images. Since the PDF's images are decoded using various methods like DCTDecode, JPXDecode, etc.
The text is decoded with FlateDecode, which i breaked using a function in PHP.

Scaling and Image using ActionScript 3.0

Hello, I need some help from the experts out here. I have created a thumbnail gallery and am using an external ActionScript 3.0 document to try and scale each of the thumbnails as I rollover them. There are 23 thumbnails. Rather than define all the variables and functions for all 23, is there a way I can create some sort of array so that each thumbnail will be scaled by the instance name defined in the variable array and same for the functions. The code below works for one image I have created. As you can see the idea is to hover over the image, it scales up, then you click on it and are taken to some other content stored locally or externally on a web server. Thanks in advance.

Views- icon and list, use as defaults issues

Going from Tiger to Leopard, this new operation of views is different. Ok, just a statement. I have noticed that all of a sudden (I think going from 10.5.3 to 10.5.4), the "use as defaults" button doesn't really seem to do anything. If I have the main HD window open, in icon view, and then open view options and select "use as defaults" (after making some change in order for that button to be clickable), I can go back to other windows and they are still at list view. I made sure the "always open...." is not selected in those other windows. I thought the "use as defaults" was suppose to override and change every window there after to whatever you had set when you clicked use as defaults.
I also notice that if I open the main HD window and have it in icon view, then open the applications window and move it from icon to list and close it, every other window I open will be in list view.

Nope, once you set a window's settings, it'll retain it until you change it. The *use as defaults* only pertains to the window you're in and any folders you haven't already opened.

Access metadata and images using Lightroom API

It would be great to access the images in the Lightroom library from outside Lightroom (including all post-processing of course). This would enable 3rd party applications to integrate the library into the application. This is especially useful for media centers.

You would really need a shared catalog and image files on an external hard dive. Then connect the ehd to either machine, as needed.
I personally use a master catalog on my desktop machine and a travel catlog on my Macbook pro. That lets me shoot photos, apply metadata and edit them on the road and when I get home I simply import the travel catalog into the combined master catalog.

[SOLVED] Certain icons and images no longer display

After updating about 10 minutes ago, various icons and my desktop background don't display. It's a problem with libpng I think. On a related note, google-chrome wasn't displaying it's icons properly b/c it was using /usr/lib/nx/lib/libpng instead of /usr/lib/libpng. There's two libpng12's. How can this be fixed?

I don't think it is libpng now. png's display OK. jpg's cannot be displayed, though.

How to add icons and images for my forms ?

My forms were upgraded from 6i to 11g. Then all customized images and icons can not display.
Icon filename in property palette of forms and menus are the filename without path.

I set default.icons.iconpath to be a absolute path to all icons folder in Registry.dat, and make imageBase= documentbase in formsweb.cfg, doesn't work.
What is the DocumentBase folder ? Is it $ORACLE_HOME/forms ??
I also tried imageBase= codebase, package all images( gif files.) in a jar, store it into the forms/java directory. append icons.jar to archive parameter in formsweb.cfg. still doesn't work.
What's the solution steps to do this please ?

The preferred method of using Icons is to deploy them in a signed .jar file. The Oracle document you references is a little vague in this respect (paragraph 4.9.2.1). If you are going to use a jar file for your icons, you need to do the following:
1) You must digitally sign the jar file (preferably with a Trusted Certificate - such as Verisign). You can use your own keystore, but you will get a Trusted Certificate warning in your application.
2) Upload your <YOUR_ICON_FILE_NAME>.jar file to the %FORMS_HOME%/forms/java directory. If you use the default installation, the %FORMS_HOME% directory is typically "/Oracle_FRHome1".
3) Update the default.env to include the full path to the jar file in the CLASSPATH variable.
4) Then you need to update the following variables in the formsweb.cfg :
4.1) archive=frmall.jar, <YOUR_ICON_FILE_NAME>.jar
4.2) imageBase=codebase
After making these changes I recommend restarting your WLS_FORMS instance to ensure the changes takes affect.

Wrong preview icon and image in finder

I recently upgraded my computer - now running snow leopard 10.6.8. I have noticed that when I save files in certain applications (eg. ai CS5 files) the preview icon in finder windows is not of the application but just a blank page icon instead. Also on the desktop it's just a blank doc page not the ai. icon.
I have managed to manually alter a few files by clicking and dragging the ai. icon in the Get Info window from the bar to the ai. icon beneath and the application icon does remain then but each new file has the same problem - I don't want to keep altering them manually for every file.
A second, related (I suppose) problem is that the actual preview image in the finder window is wrong - not the last saved image (or even a previously saved image) but a combination of several turned off layers in the case of ai. files. The preview image is wrong also if opening direct from illustrator CS5.

Yes this is one of those commands that takes off on it's own. That is why I specified to let it run it coarse and will put you back out at the prompt when complete. Sounds like you did it correctly.
I would advise booting off install DVD and run both Repair Disk and Repair Permissions.

How to generate formated (defined position) text and image using pl/sql and

I need to use pl/sql to create a dynamic html page (or image , if possible) with defined positions for text and bar code. It is necessary because the page will be printed and it should be able to be read by one other process , OCR, that needs to have all the data in defined positions.

I don't think it's that easy. Notice that if you put the insert into an actual pl/sql block, you don't get the correct column pointer anymore.

RoboHelp and Images using SnagIt

Hi,
I am using RoboHelp HTML X5.0.2 on Windows XP Pro SP2.
When I import an image (which I am using SnagIt to capture
and resize) and generate the output to WebHelp the image is
distorted and I am not sure whether IE or RoboHelp is trying to
enlarge the image but when you view the source code from IE it
shows a larger picture than what is viewed via SnagIt.
Has anyone come across this problem before and if so what was
the solution? Is there a better resolution to be taking screen
shots with for online viewing? I have tried several and it doesn't
seem to make a difference once I resize.

Also, if you're replacing an existing image with one of a
different size, you need to right click the image and select
Reset size to cancel any resulting distortion.
If you look at the underlying code for images, you'll notice
that RH "reserves" width & height dimensions as well as
identifying the image's actual dimensions.
However, it does not automatically reset those dimensions
for you when you change them.
Example, original:
reserved space: style="width: 16px; height: 16px
actual size: width=16 height=16
Example, larger size:
reserved space: style="width: 16px; height: 16px
actual size: width=32 height=32
You either need to manually change the 16px dimensions to
32px, or use the
Reset size option in the interface to have RH do it for you.

Firefox in Windows 7 under a proxy do not show many icons and images in Google applications. Reinstall it does not solve the issue.

Google applications (spreadsheet, ...) does not show the icons properly.
Only when hovering over the buttons, the tip appear and you can see what does the button.

Deployed Windows 7 Image failing to start -SCCM 2012 SP1

Hello, I am deploying windows 7 image using SCCM 2012 SP1, the installation goes thru fine but when it is in the process of restart, a blue screen is displayed for a split second and then it tries to reboot again with same results. Are there any logs on
the SCCM server I can check to see where the problem may be?

This generally means inaccessible boot device. How are you partitioning the drive and applying the image?
