Deploying my fist JSP page

I use linux's Application Server 10g. I created a JSP page in JDeveloper. Now :
1.. In which directory I copy it
2.. What changes will required in configuration files
3.. How to access the page using http

You might want to check the online help of JDeveloper for the deployment chapter.
Basically you create a new deployment profile of type WAR in JDev.
then you right click it and choose deploy to... and define a connection to your Application Server.
JDeveloper will deploy the JSP for you to the right location.

    Hi all,
    I add a customizable component to my jsp page. It works fine on local but when I deploy it and run the deployment I get the error below:

    anyone who has an idea?
    thanks a lot in advance

    Did you define a web.xml and application.xml file for the deployment of your application?
    Are you using deployment profiles to configure your application on a standalone OC4J?

    Hi,
    I have an applet application that i want to deploy on the Oracle cloud.

    Can't we deploy any application having applet or swing component's onto the cloud?
    Or do we need to request for any extra permissions for the same?
    Thanks,
    Manoj

    I don't see applets mentioned in the supported features nor in the unsupported features so not sure if they are supported you would likely need to contact the operations team to confirm.

  • How to deploy a JSP page into my APEX application?

    hi all,
    i am using a JSP to upload multiple spreadsheets into the db. i want to deploy it on the APEX and use it as part of my APEX application's uploading feature.
    i already have the JSP file with me. can somebody please tell me how to put that onto the APEX?
    Thanks,
    Basavaraj

    One way using JSP portal is, creating Portal project with JSP Dynpage applications
    You can use NWDS tool to create JSP Dynpage based Portal components.
    Procedure to create and deploy Portal  components,
    1. Open Enterprise Portal Perspective in NWDS
    2. Create -> new Portal Project -> Give the valid name
    3. Right click on the project -> Choose Portal Object -> JSP Dynpage -> Give all the information including JSP name. -> Finish
    4. Right Click on the project structure -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> All the following jars
            htmlb, com.sap.portal.html_api.jar, servlet
    5. Navigate to your JSP page located under the folder PORTAL-INF, Write logic
    6. Right click on the portal projet-> Refresh -> Re-Build
    7. Right Click on the portal project -> Export -> Give the Valid  Portal serverdetails, Admin user name and password
    8. You can create iView (iView from PAR) in content admin for the developed portal component

  • Deploy jsp page on default web app

    Hi,
    I have migrated from oracle application server 10g to oracle weblogic server 11g. howerver, I have a jsp page to be displayed as a welcome page to our application. In version 10g we used to deploy this jsp on $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/default-web-app folder. but now after migration I'm unable to display this JSP page although this directory exists in version 11g. does anyone know what's the web context root for this folder?also in version 10g there was a folder called $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/applib. I cannot find this folder anymore.
    thanks

    You can follow the below link to make your Application as a Default-Web-App in WebLogic 11g ...

  • How to integrate BIBean JSP page with Portal after deploying to iAS?

    Hi all,
    Right now we can deploy a JSP page contains BI Bean crosstab to iAS and can display the page using this url: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7779/Application2/Analyze1.jsp.
    BIBean version: 10.1.2.0.2
    JDEV version: 10.1.2.1.0
    iAS version: 10.1.2
    Then according to a sample: http://otn.oracle.com/products/bib/htdocs/samples/samples_overview.html
    , we should test PDKProviderAdapter, but we don't know how to create a provider for it. In the sample project "Portal" I can find a "provider" floder contains provider.xml under the "web content" node.
    My question is : how to create the provider? which document or example can we refer to for help. Eagerly waiting for help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Scott

    thnx for your response.
    Basically we need to develop few JSP pages and that will insert data into the Oracle tables. These tables will hold user information for further processing. Now the requirement is to call these JSP pages from OBI dashboard. We can easily call the JSP pages if OBI runs on OC4J (that we have checked). But in our production environment we are having IIS server to run OBI. So our concern is how to deploy these JSP pages on IIS server?

  • Error while deploying .jsp page

    Hi all,
    I created a single sample jsp page using jdeveloper and moved this jsp file to $OA_HTML. This page will be called from existing apps jsp page through hyperlink. When i click the hyperlink request passed for my jsp page but the following error occured,
    "You are not authorized to access ABC.jsp".
    What may be the problem. Do we have to register a jsp page. I already bounced the server.
    Thanks,
    Kannan

    Kannan,
    seems to be obvious that the directory you are trying to access is security protected. So you need to logon

  • Timed out issue in jsp page!

    Dears,
    It is really amazing for me to see this issue in my application which I deployed in Oracle Application Server 10g r2.
    I am using JDeveloper 10g to create jsp pages.
    On one jsp page i am displaying 15 html tables for a report.
    All tables have 1 query to get records from oracle 10g database.
    Am opening one connection and than one by one running queries just before each table and rendering data through ResultSet
    (which is scrollable).
    If I test this page from JDeveloper, it is displaying fine.
    But when I deploy this page in Oracle Application Server 10g,
    and create a portlet and show this jsp page in portlet and open this page,
    this page most of the time giving 'TIMED OUT', and a few times displaying report properly.
    I tried PreparedStatement to run multiple queries for Oracle DB, but couldn't make it successfully.
    BTW,
    I checked my OAS log, it shows following error:
    09/03/16 18:39:08 hrwfapp: [instance=(null), id=(null)] ERROR: Request has exceeded its warning timeout Time[elapsed=61046ms.
    Warning timeout=20000ms.] Request[id=5003532663665,3 providerId=493501 portletId=117 portletName=AttritionReports

    priority=5 alive=true interrupted=false groupName=ApplicationServerThreadGroup]
    Please help me in this regard, what should I do to avoid Timed out issue.
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    if this occurs only in combination with portlets then I would try the Oracle Portal forum for help or use customer support to help you analyzing the issue

  • How to call a concurrent program from a Custom JSP page.

    Hi,
    I have a custom JSP page which i have deployed by creating a form function with the path of the JSP Page
    and added the JSP Page to the OA_HTML top.
    Now, i need to call a concurrent program from the JSP Page, i have all the parameters in my page and i am using the standard class as below:
    ConcurrentRequest cr= new ConcurrentRequest(con);
    int requestId= cr.submitRequest("XXINV",programName,null,null,false,vec);
    I have verified my connection object and it is OK but i am getting the exception that user is not set to run the program.
    I tried the below code in my JSP page and getting -1 for all test variables :-
    int userId = wctx.getUserId();
    int respApplId = wctx.getRespApplId();
    int respId = wctx.getRespId();
    I think i need to set the context in JSP page to run the program..
    Pls help ....
    Regards
    Saurabh Jaiswal

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply,,,
    This is a possible solution but this will allow to run the program anyhow.
    But the procedure which i call thru callable statement will start with
    fnd_global.apps_initialize (3825, 50603, 704);
    fnd_request.submit_request API call.
    Now, the values of user and Responsibilty is required in the program and it changes.
    With this approach we have to hardcode the user and resp.
    The same JSP page is attached to other responsibilities and there the concurrent program would get fired as if fired from the resp Id hardcoded as above.
    Need to capture user Id and RespId.
    How can i set the apps Context in JSP page???
    Regards

  • How to open a JSP page from a form ??? plz help

    hi ..
    i want to know how to open a jsp page from a oracle apps form using a button .
    the requirement is that whenever we click on the button created on the form, it opens a jsp page.
    plz help me ..its urgent !! :-(

    In portlet project, to navigate between pages, you should not use the URL property to link to a page. Instead, portlets use navigation via action handling. You use the Page Navigation editor to set up links to pages; that is, the navigation editor sets the action property.
    Here is an example to hyperlink ans button to open a new page:
    # From within the IDE, create a new portlet project. This action creates the project and one page, PortletPage1.jsp.
    # Create a second portlet page, called PortletPage2.jsp, for the project.
    # Drop a Hyperlink component onto the first portlet page, PortletPage1. (You can drop the Hyperlink on the page in the Design window or on the PortletPage1 node in the Outline window.) Change the Hyperlink's text property to Next Page.
    # Drop a Button component (found in the Basic section of the Palette) onto the second portlet page, PortletPage2.
    # Open the Page Navigation Editor. It displays the two pages (PortletPage1.jsp and PortletPage2.jsp) of the application.
    # Click the PortletPage1.jsp icon in the Navigation window to expand it, and then drag a connector from hyperlink1 to PortletPage2.jsp. Change the name of the connector from case1 to Page2.
    # Click the PortletPage2.jsp icon in the Navigation window to expand it, and then drag a connector from button1 to PortletPage1.jsp. Change the name of the connector from case1 to Page1.
    # Run and deploy the portlet. The browser displays PortletPage1 and you should see the Next Page hyperlink. When you click the Next Page hyperlink, the Apache Pluto Portal server displays PortletPage2. Click the Page2 button to return to PortletPage1.

  • Error, package does not exist, thrown when calling jsp page

    Hi
    I have downloaded sample jsp pages for interaction with Crystal reports. When I compile these jsp pages in NetBeans 3.6 there are no problems. When I deploy these pages and associated libraries to Tomcat 5, I get the following error when attempting to call the jsp page, but all the jars used in NetBeans are present in the web-inf/lib directory and I have looked in the jars and found classes in the com.crystaldecisions.report.web.viewer package. I have been unable to find any information after googling and looking at the jakarta bug database. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks Tien-Chih Wang. It worked...well I'm getting a new set of errors, but progress has been made!
    I understand that if placed in the common directory the jar will be available to all webapps but why does it make a difference whether a jar file is placed under the $TOMAT_HOME/common/lib or $TOMAT_HOME/webapps/appname/web-inf/lib directory if I only need to access the jar from one webapp?

  • How to get ep authority in jsp page

    Hi all:
    I want to create a j2ee project and some jsp pages to deploy to EP server.
    My question is how to get user name or user authority in jsp page.
    Is there any APIs to use or something else.
    Thanks in advance.
    Allen

    Hai ,
    I Think  This will help ful for u check it ,
    File=new FileLog("f:/WebServiceTrace/trace2.%g.log", 800000, 10,                                        new  TraceFormatter());
    The above code specifies the path for your log file.
    Then add this file as a log location and then log the traces. For this you can use the following code like:
    Location location=Location.getLocation(className);
              location.addLog(file);
              location.setEffectiveSeverity(Severity.ALL);
              location.entering(methodName);
    To Create j2ee apllication
    In path new-j2ee-jsp to create JSP's can only be used for J2EE applications.
    So as you are using this in Portal Application, this does not work.
    You can test this bahavior by creating a new Web Application (New-Project-J2EE-Web Module Project)
    In this Web Module Project, try creating JSP, this will work.
    So dont use new-j2ee-jsp to create JSP in Portal Application instead use New-File and name the file as jsp.
