Deploying WebLogicFusionOrderDemo to SOA Suite hangs

I am trying to deploy the WebLogicFusionOrderDemo as part of the Fusion Order Demo Application, using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0.
I followed all the steps in the tutorial, also read this similar tutorial and did all the configuration steps
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/bulldog/deploysoaapp/deployment.htm#t3
When running the server-setup-seed-deploy-test target within JDeveloper, it hangs at the target below, with no errors in the WebLogic log
deploy-jsca-library:
[wldeploy] weblogic.Deployer -remote -noexit -name weblogic-sca -source e:\dev\tools\oracle\middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\deployable-libraries\weblogic-sca-1.0.war -targets soa_server1 -adminurl t3://machine:7001 -user weblogic -password ******** -deploy -library
[wldeploy] weblogic.Deployer invoked with options: -remote -noexit -name weblogic-sca -source e:\dev\tools\oracle\middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\deployable-libraries\weblogic-sca-1.0.war -targets soa_server1 -adminurl t3://machine:7001 -user weblogic -deploy -library
I've been struggling to use the Fusion Order Demo Application and it has been incredibly frustrating and unsuccessful so far...
This is just one of the many other deployment issues.

Lynn -
Thanks for the note. I tried using those instructions instead but they seem fairly similar and the problem persists. As a side note, even those instructions are outdated since they talk about a BamOrderBookingComposite folder which doesn't exist.
But after much experimentation, I concluded is a JDeveloper bug when executing nested Ant build.xml
When I run Ant from command line, it works just fine. Also, if I run in JDeveloper one of the module build.xml individually and not from the main build.xml, the process doesn't hang.

  • Advice on best way to setup Disaster Recovery for SOA Suite 10.1.3.4

    Hi Everyone,
    I need some advice on the best way to setup Disaster Recovery for a SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 install deploying JSF/ADF OC4J applications.
    The way we are trying to do it at the moment is manually copy the "applications" and "applications-deployments" folders for the OC4J application on the production server, then compress and ship the files across to the DR application server nightly. (We don't require high availability).
    In the event of a disaster we then extract the files and copy to the OC4J instance (pre-created and configured) on the DR server. Unfortunately to date we haven't been able to reliably setup a DR application (seem to mostly get 404 errors etc), even though the OC4J application has its connection pool resolved to the DR database and is showing as "up" in the ASConsole.
    My question is, is there a more "native" way to do what we are trying to do. We do not have Enterprise version of SOA Suite or 11g database so any advanced recovery features are not an option. The setup is also stand alone, i.e. we are not using clustering or RAC etc.
    Any ideas would be really helpful.
    Thanks,
    Leigh.
    PS we are also running the production apps server with Oracle Application server 10g 10.1.2.3.0 as the HTTP apache server (with Forms, Reports and Discoverer deployed) and the SOA Suite 10.1.3 applications use the 10.1.2 HTTP server via the HTTP to AJP bridge. So the 10.1.3 OC4J instance is configured to use AJP on port range 12501 - 12600.

    For enterprise solutions, AS Guard would work.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/core.1013/b15977/disasrecov.htm#sthref303
    However, since advanced recovery options are not available (as you said), then what you are doing should not be too bad.

  • SOA System Testing on SOA Suite. Best Practices and approaches needed.

    Hi,
    New to this Forum and sorry if I landed at wrong place. We need to perform System/Functional testing for applications deployed on Oracle SOA Suite.
    SOAP UI helps us in many ways.
    But scenarios below being considered, we need your expertise to help us in this effort:
    Services may be of various complexities...Eg:
    1. A service operation may be of kind where we send a request and not receive response.
    2. Service of type where we send request and cannot wait for response bcoz of service being in Asynchronous nature.
    3. Request sent and we get batch of responses and also a vice-versa scenario.
    Unit Testing for above scenarios can be done using JDeveloper based BPEL Test Framework. However, our focus is with respect to System Testing.
    Any Open-source Testing tools for Web Services or proprietary tools that can do this would be of help.
    Please note that we have evaluated and find that HP Service Test Tool helps in almost all above scenarios. However, looking for all possible alternatives and best approaches.
    Your Advice is highly appreciated.

  • Eclipse Service To SOA Suite

    Hi Guys,
    We have a requirement where we need to create a very simple webservice (xml+ java usage only) using WSDL and need to deploy the same @ SOA Suite.
    Is this possible? Client doesnt want to use Jdev as they support all their Java project using Eclipse and they dont want to invesnt on the Jdev resources separately.
    We just need to develop secured wrapper around the existing WSDL and deploy it to SOA.
    Cheers,
    KK

    You won't necessarily get the same level as a SOA Composite. You would get the security and monitoring that Weblogic provides for JAX-WS services not that SOA Suite provides for SOA Composites, but it will allow you to deploy to the same SOA Suite cluster, so no additional weblogic servers are needed.
    I believe you can leverage OWSM policies for security on JAX-WS services in Weblogic but I can't say that for sure.
    As far as monitoring goes you wouldn't see composite instances/audit in EM like you do for SOA composites since this is just a pure JAX-WS web service.
    Thanks,
    Adam DesJardin

  • Error message deploying a composite in SOA Suite 11g

    Hello,
    We are attempting to deploy a composite to SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.3). We're getting an 'Unable to register service' error message. When I inspect the log files I see the following entry as the first error:
    Failed to retrieve policy[[
    oracle.wsm.policyaccess.PolicyAccessException: WSM-06146 : Error deleting the attachment entries.
    Anybody have any experience with this error? The error message reference has the following listed:
    WSM-06146: Error deleting the attachment entries.
    Cause: Failure occurred while deleting the attachment entries.
    Action: Ensure that a valid list of policy subjects for deactivated lifecycle type is passed
    Level: 32
    Type: INCIDENT_ERROR
    Impact: Configuration
    I don't know how to "ensure that a valid list of policy subjects for deactivated lifecycle type is passed". Please help!!!!
    Thanks,

    This is what we have done :
    1.Created the JDBC data source & connection pool as below :
    data source name : B2BAQ , JNDI name : jdbc/B2BAQ
    Connection Pool :
    URL : taken from the tns entries of the instance
    Driver Class Name : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
    Tested this connection ..it works fine from the Admin Console
    2.Then go to Deployments --> AqAdapter -> Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pool Group -->
    Create a new connection pool instance -- General tab
    connection interface factory : javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
    JNDI Name : eis/AQ/B2BAQ
    Then in Properties tab : Enter the Data Source Name : jdbc/B2BAQ
    Then we try to Start the AqAdapter from the Admin Console..it goes into Prepared status.
    The error message which comes is mentioned above.
    Is there any way we could resolve this ..that would be very helpful

  • Yet another error deploying BPEL process on SOA Suite 11g

    Hi All,
    I am getting the following error when trying to deploy a SOA composite from Jdev 11g (on XP) to SOA suite (on linux). Somehow the JDev is trying to create a connection to 3.3.3.27 which is the private IP of the soa server even though the connection is using the public IP. The application connection is successfully created and tested using the public IP address. Any idea where the private IP is being picked up from? There is no setup under the proxy in JDev preferences.

    Thanks

    Make sure you use the similar version of soa suite and JDev 10135. If you are using JDev 10.1.3.5, your soa suite version should be 10.1.3.5. I was just wondering if you were ever able to deploy any other process successfully from the similar JDev and on similar SOA Suite ? If not you need to revisit your soa suite installation again.
    Also check the log files on the server to see if any errors are recorded.

    Hi, it´s a little late, but it may help to someone else.
    I just got the same error on deployment and realized i was going through a proxy server, who was responding with a http 503 code to deployment request from JDeveloper. Just check your proxy settings under Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and proxy and add an exception if needed.
    I also had to restart JDeveloper (a bug?) after adding the exception to correct the issue.

    Pedro.

    Thanks for your help,
    Cyryl

    Hi. I made another account for I can't email address in my profile.
    I found that my problem is cluster specific problem. JDeveloper's default configuration works with clustered BPEL engines for simple processes that have no human tasks. But human-task-included processes are deployed without task forms with the same errors you'd had.
    I found a work-around for it. I changed build.properties in the project for cluster configuration as below,
    platform = ias_10g
    domain = default
    rev = 1.1
    admin.user = oc4jadmin
    admin.password = welcome1
    http.hostname = the_server_address
    http.port = 7779
    cluster = true
    j2ee.hostname = the_server_address
    rmi.port = 23791
    opmn.requestport = 6004
    oc4jinstancename = default_group
    And, yes, Ant would definitely be an answer for it, too.
    Thank you for your reply,
    Joon.

  • Deploying EJB, JSF to soa suite application server

    Hello,
    I have a problem using EJB. I deployed my JSF page to my soa suite application server. But I think something is wrong between the communication of my page and the Bean. I keep getting the error :
    BO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.JboException, msg=JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught
    : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException, msg=HRFacade not found
    where HRFacade is the name of my bean. I'm very new to EJB but I want to learn how to use it within ADF and a soa suite application server (some that is NOT localhost :p). Could someone tell me what I do wrong. What is connecting EJB's to the pages. Should I use JNDI? A good course available on the internet is also welcome.
    Thanks for the replys

    Oké, little update. I let the message rest for a while and start with a new project. New problem :
    First I created a new Session Bean. Within this bean I declared a string message();
    In my bean self I returned "Hello World!" like you can see
    package org.EJBEx1.datamodel;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    @Stateless(name="Bean")
    public class BeanBean implements Bean, BeanLocal {
    public BeanBean() {
    public String message() {
    return "Hello World!";
    Now I created a remote data control for this bean and I dragged Bean.Message.String to my JSP. My JSP creates a label witch is bind to #{bindings.message1.label}
    What I want to do is just when I open a new browser the label should contain: 'Hello World!' But when I open a browser the label contains : 'message_Return'. Could someone help me. I understand this is basics so please. After I've successfully deployed this new exersise I will see if my error still is the same on my application server. If it works I will post it.
    Thnx

  • Invoking a composite deployed on local install - SOA Suite

    Hi All,
    Morning....need some help with this issue we are facing.
    Currently have installed the SOA Suite 11g locally onto our windows machines , created one domain for the web logic server .have started the servers as well and able to login to the EM console (http://localhost:7001/em) & Admin Console (http://localhost:7001/console) successfully.
    have deployed a bpel process as a composite from the front end using Deploy Applications option into the default SOA partition.
    able to see the composite in the front end in the EM Console, with a valid Service End Point url & wsdl file location
    The bpel process in this composite has a Receive activity where it gets the input payload and processes further
    Now we are trying to trigger this composite from another application by using the END Point URL and and with the input as XML payload message. It is not able to invoke and getting java HTTP related error messages.
    But if the same composite is deployed to SOA Suite Server on the AIX/Linux Install ( instead of local deployment ) and if we try to trigger this process from that same application it works fine..
    1. Now getting what could be the issue with the HTTP related errors we are getting & how this could be resolved.
    2.Also when tried Testing the composite from the EM Console under the Test tab by selecting the option as XML View..it showed up the SOAP envelope and BODY related tags and within that there is one :
    <ns1:input></ns1:input> tag.
    We have the input xml payload in the format as mentioned below:
    <transaction><transaction header><name>abcd</name></transaction header><transaction body><address1>123 street</address1><city>xyz</city></transaction body></transaction>
    when we try to put this exactly within as below : it is erroring out with xpath errors ..
    <ns1:input><transaction><transaction header><name>abcd</name></transaction header><transaction body><address1>123 street</address1><city>xyz</city></transaction body></transaction></ns1:input>
    Could someone please help us as to how we could test this and in exactly what format from the EM Console..how the input payload data should be added..
    Regards

    Options :
    1. Try with SOAPUI by using the endpoint.
    2. Undeploy the process and redeploy, then test it again.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • Oracle SOA Suite - AIX  Deployment

    Hello,
    What is the best practice recommendation from Oracle team to deploy Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5?
    a) Deploy SOA in Linux environment
    b) Deploy SOA in AIX envuronment
    Which environment is better to leverage SOA benefits?
    Do we have any best practices guide for deploying SOA(BPEL Server), Database, Admin Server in a multi server environment?
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Yes, you may use both AIX and Linux. Make sure that you are using it with a certified version -
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11gr1certmatrix.xls
    Peter,
    Did you at some point in time try to get support for a SOA Suite production installation running on AIX?
    I did. Wonder what your experience was.Yes, I have worked with support for SOA issues on AIX and my experience has been good always. You always have an escalation channel, in case you are not satisfied with progress of your SR.
