Deployment aborted

Hi All,
I am getting Deployment aborted while deploying web application to local server which 2004s with SP9 JavaTrail Version(Sneak Preview).
Server is up. I am able to logon through SDM console and Visual Administration also.
If I deploy from WebDynPro I m getting the following Error.I had setup proper J2EE engine also.
Please could you tell me where is wrong.

Hi Adam,
There seems to be a conflict in the information in the secure storage.
1.Open the config tools.
2.Go to the secure storage and reset SDM user password.Also make sure that there is no default ticket selected in the SSO.
3.Restart the J2EE.
This should work.

so i deploy it with this error :
could someone guide me thru the solution?

Hi,
Sometimes I get this error. It is usually solved by restarting the SDM server.
Switch to the J2EE Engine view in NWDS and right click the SDM server. Restart process.

I am creating a servlet client to test a secured web service (Document Authentication Basic (Username/Password)).
When I deploy the EAR,I get error:

The reason is clear:
Reason: Cannot make reference between sap.com/CapsWS_EAR and sap.com/CapsWS_EAR. Cycle of references is created, which is not allowed for the current version of the server
You may have created an entry for the same EAR in the application.xml file of your EAR Project. Remove it and redeploy.

HFM EPMA application deployment aborted with error Object reference not set

HFM EPMA application deployment aborted with error Object reference not set to an instance of an object when trying to validate/deploy any HFM application in EPMA. This has started happending after we have deleted a Dimension in one of HFM applications. The deleted dimension is a shared dimension.
We are facing this issue in a distributed environment with version 11.1.2.1. This applications are built here newly.

There was a bug in earlier releases for deleting dimensions with children, making the children orphans.
Heard from release notes that it has been fixed, but we are seeing this issue in 11.1.2.1 again.

Planning DB Deploy aborts since "No baseline was found for transaction ID 8

Not sure if this is a bug or something we caused on our end but we cannot deploy a planning database anymore. We get the message: Deploy aborted since "No baseline was found for transaction ID 85905". This happens during the export phase. We are using EPM Architect with Planning 11.1.1.10.
Curious if anyone else has ever run into this error.

We ran into a similar issue yesterday, except the transaction ID in the ds_baseline_library was greater than any transaction ID's in the or_object table.
Here's what Oracle thinks happened:
Baseline records were likely to be deleted by a baseline cleanup kicking in during application deployment. Normally, the cleanup only deletes older baselines but causes problems if run while an application is deployed.
We don't believe this is what happened as the cleanup was scheduled to run at 3:00am, so who knows what really happened. Here is the guidance we received in terms of resolving the issue (we didn't follow this, but I suspect it would work):
From your update it is clear that EPMA still looks for the same baseline records which apparently do not exist anymore.
The steps below should bring this to work.
1. Create backup of the Planning application database.
2. Create backup of the Essbase data, Calculation scripts, rule files, substitution variables.
3. Delete the affected Planning application in EPMA (this should delete it in Planning and Essbase as well).
4. Create a classic Planning application with same name as the deleted application.
5. Override the classic Planning application database (step 4) by using the Planning application database backup (step 1).
6. Using an administrator user, log into the Planning application and navigate to Administration > Manage Properties.
7. On the “Application Properties” tab, click “Add” and enter a new property “EDIT_DIM_ENABLED” with a value of “true”. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
8. Once you have completed steps 6 and 7, restart the Planning service.
9. Log into the Workspace and Navigate > Administer > Application Upgrade. This upgrade wizard should list the newly created classic Planning application as “Upgradeable”. Select the application and upgrade it as local dimensions.
10. The application should now be visible in the EPMA application library and its dimensions loaded as local dimensions.
11. Use EPMA to deploy the newly created Planning application.
12. Restore the Essbase data, Calculation scripts, rule files, substitution variables.
Here's what we did:
1) Export our forms.
2) Copy the app in EPMA.
3) Deploy the new app just to make sure it works.
4) Delete the old app in EPMA.
5) Copy our "copy" to the original app and re-deploy.
6) Import our forms.
We lost a few items with this approach (business rules and variables), but we hadn't developed much yet. We felt this was cleaner than copying a repository into a Classic app and then upgrading that app to EPMA. Either way, we're back iin business. FYI - it looks as though this issue may be fixed in 11.1.1.2. In the release notes, under fixed defects, check out defect # 7573567. Sounds like this is the same problem.

WebDynpro Application Deployment Aborted

J2ee Engine is Working Fine.When i Deploy The Application It is Asking for SDM Password and i enter Password.

Deployment Aborted (EJB and Web Services)

Hello All.
In SAP Netweaber Developer Studio I created a Project with an Entity EJB and another Sesion EJB.
The Sesion Bean uses the Entity Bean (persistence). After this, it generate a Web Services.
After building the project ejb and project EAP. Within the Project EAP I took file Persistent_EAP.ear and to make respective deploy on the Server, in the Deploy out View I get the message 'Deploy Aborted'.

Dear Esther,
This exception usually happens when the application is not packaged properly.
It seems that the J2EE engine web services deployment processor is looking for a descriptor which is absent in the jar file.
This could happen for instance if you forget to save all the modified files before rebuilding.
Unfortunately I cannot tell you which web service descriptor is missing, without looking at the packaged application.
Try the following:
1) Regenerate your virtual interfaces
2) Save all modified files
3) Rebuild the application
4) Deploy the application again.

Hi,
Try restarting the SDM. You can restart it from your NWDS as below.
Click the J2EE Engine tab.-> open the server node->Right click on the SDM and restart. This should solve your problem.
If two people are trying to deploy at the same time this type of issues comes in.

And once say Deploy the SDM server is getting Stopped.

It means your server will be down,once restart your server and also check whether u gave correct host name and port no. in Window-->Preferences--

   Looked everywhere possible. Did not find any answers
   to this one:
   I am deploying the famous 3 .sca files for JDI.
   Deployed BUILDT sca. It goes in file system and not
   in J2EE engine......Is this correct or not?
   Next tried to deploy the offline devinf sca.
   Deployment gets aborted in 4 seconds
   with no error messages, without any clues.
   Appreciate help with this problem.

In my first attempt I tried deploying with
all 3 .sca files. Got the same error message.
So did some diligence on the forums and
deduced that BUILDT should go first,
then offline and next online version.
So I took this approach.
BUILDT went thru. Offline is stuck.
Haven't reached online yet.

I have developer workplace installation of NW04s
WAS gets installed from this workplace.
JDI sca files downloaded from service.sap.com site:
   1) SAPBUILDT14P_2-20000950.sca
   2) SAPDEVINFF14_0-20000268.sca    - offline
   3) SAPDEVINF14_0-20000267.sca     - online
Isn't NW04s a release higher than "SP14"?

Urgent : Generation of file "application".xml fails and deploys aborted

Hi,
I recently took over an application (called RDAS) and downloaded if from DTR. But this didnt work well (all sources files have been downloaded, but lots of models and custom controllers were missing in the webdynpro perspective). This has been fixed well by modifying manually file Rdas.wdcomponent
I just found out that in my component, a window and it's view are also missing (no links with any other windows or views of my application). This window just contains a view and acts as a popup (no navigation link or so with the rest of my component). I modified files Rdas.wdcomponent and RdasInterface.wdcomponentinterface and it builds well. No errors. I can now find my missing window and view in the webdynpro perspective.
But since then I can not deploy anymore. I get the following errors:
Web Dynpro Generation: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.repository.RepositoryRuntimeException: Failed to parse XML document containing VMO=com.alstom.power.rdas.wd.Rdas., D:/Workspace_JDI/0/DCs/power.alstom.com/rdaswd/_comp/gen_wdp/configuration/Applications/com.alstom.power.rdas.wd.Rdas/Rdas.xml
And when I check in the generated files, the xml file associated to the application is not genetared anymore.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Finally I figured out what was wrong.
An entry was missing in file RDAS.wdcomponent (views have to be inserted in the views list and also in the components list).
Do I deserve points?
