What exactly should I do ?
Thanks

There are two little better ways.
1) If you care about other applications on the server,
* Stop the server.
* Edit <Creator_Home>/SunAppServer8/domains/creator/config/domain.xml and remove all the elements related to your application.
* Start PE again and deploy as before.
2) Domain reset (For Creator 2 and ea's)
* Go to <Creator_Home>/bin
* Run pe-start.sh -reset
The problem is that the AppServer has sometimes problems with the undeploy. It does not clean everything it should. And the next time it can't deploy that application any more:-(

  • Deployment failed: J2EE application: *** has already been deployed

    Hi,
    I have a half deployed app I need to get rid of.
    Enterprise manager failed to re-deploy it (memory problem) and now tells me it's already deployed if I try to deploy it but doesn't show it in the list of applications, so I can't undeploy it.
    I have "grep"ed all the files in the config directory for my app name - no mention of it there. Nothing in the applications or application-deployments directories either.
    Any ideas where it's lurking and how to remove it?
    Thanks.
    Rob

    Robert, it seems that you are stuck in EM as you can not deloy nor undeploy nor redeploy that application.
    I am not sure if it works well, but can you try the command-line utility j2ee/home/admin.jar? You can do
    java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost:${rmi_port} ${admin_user} ${admin_passwd} -deploy -file ${ear_file} -deploymentName ${app_name} -bindWebApp ${web_site_name}
    Check java -jar admin.jar -help for more information.
    Logout EM and login after the above deployment. If successful, you can undeploy the app then. If you have several oc4j instances, you might have to synchronize them then. . By the way, which oc4j version?

  • OSM 6.3 application deployment fails

    Hi,
    I tried running the osm 6.3 setup and the setup runs sucessfull. I am using weblogic 9.2 for deploying the OSM application. When I check the status of the OSM deployment on weblogic, it says that the OSM application failed at deployment. Has anybody else faced the same problem of OSM deployment failing on weblogic?
    If anybody can provide any links for debugging the OSM installation, it would be great. The setup guide doesnt cover this.

    I just did a test and found that applications without a . in the name seem to install. Going to run another test, but I saw else where that people were having problems with , or & as well.
    Just noticed this thread and I had this just last week - my UDI wizard had problems installing applications with the period in the name (0x80004005) "policy not available".  All the apps were deployed to my UDI collection as well as to other collections
    and had the "install from ts" flag.  I was fast losing my patience and decided to create a new app and that worked great.  Just by chance I renamed the app to remove the period and re-added to the UDI app page and then things started working.
    The really, really freaky thing however is that they continued to work even when I put the periods back in!  I had this problem in both my lab environment and the customer environment, but not at a previous customer where we had apps like "7zip x.x"
    that installed fine.  The only potential link is that my lab environment apps were imported from a previous lab and the customer environment were recently restored from backup onto Server 2012 - I wonder if policy isn't somehow getting recreated or made
    available to task sequence deployments when the app data are restored?

    If this still needed. Take a look in Your WSDL file - any references to schemas etc. Are they accessible on server? For example - XSD file have absolute file system link - change it to project level import (copy xsd file to project) or publish to MDS.

  • Deploying an OC4J Application fails

    We have created a new OC4J container and are getting errors when trying to deploy a OC4J Application.
    We are running 9iAS 9.0.2.2 and are using OEM to do the deployment.

  • ADF Application Deployment Failing in Upgraded Web logic Server

    Hi,
    We have recently upgraded our weblogic server from *10.3.3* to *10.3.5* and also migrated ADF application from JDev *11.1.1.3* to *11.1.2.1* . Finally deployed migrated ADF application which was running fine on * Weblogic 10.3.3* to Weblogic 10.3.5.
    And we too installed the necessary libraries in the upgraded weblogic server and deployed our application.
    This all went well and when we restarting the server ... server failed to restart with the following exception. Please help me with your suggestions what exactly would be the issue.

  • Create application from spreadsheet failing - APEX 3.0

    Create Application from Spreadsheet failing (wrong column order) on the upload
    example csv columns are nameA, nameB, nameC
    Upload as csv
    The column order of the csv file changes....(its random).
    example csv is nameC, nameB, nameA -.but sometimes it works after numerous tries uploading it (column order is correct - same as csv file)
    I have another apex/db (10.1.0.4.2) installation(same version 3.0) where it works all the time(same csv file)
    The database for the failing Apex installation is (10.2.0.1.0)
    ANY IDEA???...could be a a database caching issue or a wrong db parameter?

    What table gets populated when you upload a csv file via create application from spreadsheet (is it only APEX_APPLICATION_FILES)? Because if i import the csv file in the repository it looks file when i download it. I not sure what controls the order of the csv file column order upon the upload create application from spreadsheet process. This is a very perplexing problem since it works on another apex 3.0/10.1 database environment.
    thanks

    Deployment exception : Got problems during deployment

    Hi
    It seems to be some problem with your application start up. The component is deployed in the server, but however its not able to start automatically.
    Do you have a cluster setup on the server, like a central instance and dialogue instance kind of set up. If yes, pl ensure that the application is started from the central and (also check with the dialogue servers also).
    Better delete the application /component from all the nodes and you must deploy to the central /main instance server.
    For you to run the current deployed applciation, navigate to the appropriate server node and to the application and start it manually ( a simple tick) will start it.
    Hope this helps
    thanks

    Turns out that I have managed to get access to the above link by other means. For the benefit of anyone else that hits this issue, the details contained in the link are as follows:
    --- Begin Details ---
    Symptom
    Cannot start OLAP Intelligence.
    Session launch fails with error(s):
    BusinessObjects115.OLAPI.Application.1 could not be created. Error Message Detail: Unspecified error.
    Failed to create application CrystalAnalysisOLAP.Application.6. Detail error message: Unspecified error.
    Reproducing the Issue
    Windows 2003 SP2
    Windows Security Update 973507
    Business Objects Enterprise XI R2
    OLAP Intelligence XI R2
    Create an OLAP Intelligence report and publish it to Enterprise environment to make sure that the products work correctly.
         1. Install the Windows Security Update 973507.
         2. After the installation of Windows Security Update 973507, which is installed by Security Bulletin MS09-037
         3. released on September 8th, 2009, OLAP Intelligence gives the error on startup and quits.
            After uninstalling this update OLAP Intelligence starts up again.
         4.
    Cause
    Dll Entry point cannot be found
    Windows Security Update 973507 is installed on Windows 2003 SP2 machine
    Resolution
    MS KB973507 patch must be removed for OLAP Intelligence to function.
            Microsoft Security Patch KB973507 installation is not always listed in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
         1. Confirm existence of file << atl.dll >>, dated 17th July 2009, under path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\
         2. Also an Uninstall directory called: C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB973507$
         3. It is recommended to use the facility: C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB973507$\spuninst\spuninst.exe to uninstall the patch.
         4. After a reboot of the server, OLAP Intelligence will work ok.
         5. The reason why the issue will not be fixed is because OLAP Intelligence has reached end-of-life as of XI R2 SP2.
            No new features or new platform support will be added for this product.
            Win 2003 SP2 is not officially supported in BOE XI R2 SP2 and this is the basis on which OLAPI is measured on.
            Upgrading to BOE XI R2 to Win2003 SP2 is fine, however, if you install OLAP Intelligence Designer on such a platform it is not supported.

    Hi,
    It seems that you have included an unknown assembly root-tag attribute called version. Remove the unknown attributes from web.xml, repackage, and redeply the application.

    May I ask if any expert encounter this problem before and if there is any solution?
    Any comment is appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Well the error points to an issue with the account being used, are you sure you can log into hyperion products using the same password
    At the last stage when you enter the username/password make sure you clear out any username in the input box and enter only the username.
    I take it you have been able to create planning applications before?
    Cheers

  • Odiconsole deployment fails

                        Hi there,
      I need your help in configuring my ODI J2EE agent on our FUSION R8 provisioned instance.
    The below are steps I have followed to configure ODIJ2EE agent however this deployment was never successful and I had experienced various mix and match error combinations.  Now I redid the below steps as it is and currently odiconsole has failed on 8001 port and oraclediagent was successful.  I need your help in triaging this further.
    POST DOMAIN EXTENSION STEPS:
    We have to manually perform the following steps, once for each domain that is created. This is required for most of the j2ee apps like ODI AGENT, ODICONSOLE, ODI-ESS etc
    1. Verify APPID credentials in credential store:
    2.  Check the JPS Config file
    Check the JPS domain configuration <domain_home>/config/fmwconfig/jps-config.xml and ensure that the default jpscontext has a "credstore"
            <serviceInstance name="credstore" provider="credstoressp" location="./">
                <description>File Based Credential Store Service Instance</description>
            </serviceInstance>
            <jpsContext name="default">
                <serviceInstanceRef ref="credstore"/>*
                <serviceInstanceRef ref="policystore.xml"/>
                <serviceInstanceRef ref="idstore.oid" />
                <serviceInstanceRef ref="idstore.loginmodule" />
            </jpsContext>
    3. When ODI is deployed in Fusion Applications environment, the credential map name for various ODI AppIDs is pre-defined in Fusion Apps by the Fusion Apps provisioning.  Currently ODI uses a credential map name that is hardcoded to oracle.odi.credmap name.  For Fusion Apps environment, the credential map name is oracle.apps.security. So we need to provide a solution so that in Fusion Apps environment, a different credential map name can be specified and used.ODI runtime uses credential store for ODI JEE Agent, ODI Console, ODI-ESS bridge. The Fusion Apps credential map name for all ODI usecases is: oracle.apps.security In the set of instructions for provisioning ODI for Fusion Applications, a step needs to be added after ODI installation and before creating and deploying ODI JEE Agent and ODI Console.$ODI_HOME/common/bin/updateCredMapinEar.[sh| This script changes the default credential map name to oracle.apps.security, as follows:
    Cd .$ODI_HOME/common/bin
    ./updateCredMapInEar.sh -MAPNAME=oracle.apps.security
    This step regenerates ODI Console and ODI Agent EAR files
    $ODI_ORACLE_HOME/setup/manual/oracledi-agent/odiagent.ear
    $ ODI_ORACLE_HOME /setup/manual/oracledi-metadata-navigator/odiconsole.ear
    4. Create ODI J2EE Agent WLS Template
    cd $ODI_ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
    ./generate_agent_wls_template.sh <Agent Name> <Agent Context> <Credential Key> <template file location> <create ODI master repository jdbc data source true/false> <ODI master repository jdbc data source name> <jdbc url> <master repository schema name>
    5. Update ODI repository information in $DOMAIN_HOME/config/oracledi/repositories.xml. Below example illustrates PSFT FSCM configuration.
    “FUSION_APPS_MIG_ODI_EBS_SUPER_APPID-KEY”  is used to stored ODI supervisor credential
    ODI master repositories JDBC name is “jdbc/odiMasterRepository”
    ODI work repositories JDBC name is “jdbc/odiWorkRepository”
    <repository id="Work Repository" standard="false" default="true" supervisorUserKey=" FUSION_APPS_MIG_ODI_EBS_SUPER_APPID-KEY ">
        <master url="jdbc/odiMasterRepository"/>
        <work url="jdbc/odiWorkRepository"/>
    </repository>
    <repository id="Master Repository" standard="false"  supervisorUserKey=" FUSION_APPS_MIG_ODI_EBS_SUPER_APPID-KEY">
           <master url="jdbc/odiMasterRepository"/>
    </repository>
    6. Deploy ODI J2EE Agent App & Console
    Run WebLogic Middleware Configuration Wizard and choose the option of “Extend my domain using an existing application template”
    Extend the Domain with the above template generated:
    Select the Migration Domain directory:
    Select the ODI Agent WLS template generated from the previously step, for example, /tmp/Migration-ODI-Template.jar  or /scratch/Migration-ODI-Template.jar
    Test the connections for ODI schemas (optional)
    Select Managed Services & deployment services
    Select the unique port for odi_server1, 8001 is the default port, if this port has been used by other server, please give some other one.
    Ignore the cluster section as we are configuring single server
    Select the Admin server & odi_server1 to deploy the ODI applications
    Select oraclediagent & odiconsole under odi_server1
    Select JDBC datasources odiMasterRepository & odiWorkRepository under AdminServer & odi_server1
    Extend the domain
    7. Start up odi_server1 WLS Managed Server.  Both ODI Console and ODI agent should be running.
    If the agent is successful, we should see like this in web browser:
    http://<host>:8001/oraclediagent  will show the below message in a browser.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    <Ping xmlns="xmlns.oracle.com/odi/OdiAgentMessages/V11" />
    8
    Creating the Physical Agent:
    Start the Studio using the following command: <ODI_ORACLE_HOME>/oracledi/client/odi.sh
    Connect to the Master/Work Repository, go to the Topology Navigator, and create a new Physical Agent
    Name: OracleDiAgent
    Host: Host name of the managed server (simple domain) or proxy server (cluster)
    Port: Port of the managed server (simple domain) or proxy server (cluster)
    Web Application Context: oraclediagent
    Click Test to check your agent
    9. Creating the logical Agent:
    Go to Logical architecture, right click on Agent , Create Logical agent & assign it to Physical agent.
    10 Restart Managed Servers:
    1. Shut down odi_server1 WLS Managed Server.
    11.  Now goto ODI studio , select OracleDiagent under Agents -> Test.  It should be successful.
    any help on this would be of great help.  There were multiple java errors found in log some one please let me know if the detailed log is needed to triage further

    Please provide the stacktrace of the errors.
