Deployment failed on OC4J 10.1.3.3
Hi all,
I have packaged .ear application deployed on OC4J 9.0.4 using EJB 2.0 which I intend to port over to OC4J 10.1.3.3.
I setup data-source.xml to use data source setting as in previous OC4J 9.0.4 deployment, and tried to redeploy the ear application using OC4J 10.1.3.3 web console and i got exception shown below here. The application is running fine on OC4J 9.0.4
Anybody has some ideas? Pointer to likely cause, perhaps?

Thanks Avi for the pointer.
I didn't think it was the data-sources.xml causing the problem, as the error message indicate missing EJB, which was not the case :(
I was expecting backward compatibility to the extend that existing deployment can still be deployable without significant changes. A total re-write seems like a very daunting task right now, considering others tasks pressing ....
Configuration changes are expected, and I am hoping I still can use EJB 2.0 code written need not be changed in mean time.
Any other pointer? I am looking for upgrade notes of some kind form OC4J 9.0.4 - 10.1.3.x, but having no luck this far :(

Urgent :deployment to Standalone OC4J failed
Hi,
I am posting this problem for second time.
It is of utmost importance for me to solve the problem b'coz the whole progress of my project/application depends on successfully working of the application on Standalone OC4J.So can anybody plz help me.
1)I have developed an application using Struts framework(For the View and controller part ) and EJBs. When I run this application using the Embedded OC4J provided with JDeveloper,it runs fine.But when I try to deploy the same to the StandAlone OC4J(which I downloaded from OTN) or to the Application Server,I get the following error
--503 Service Unavailable,Servlet error: Parsing error processing resource path ---
2)The StandAlone OC4J version is 9.0.4.0.0 and I used JDK 1.4.
3)The same application runs fine when deployed to StandAlone OC4J when I developed it using only JSPs and EJB.
4)I even added the different libs for Struts inside WEB-XML folder under my Application Folder Structure.
5)The StandAlone OC4J Server runs fine and displays the First Page when it is started.
6)I even installed a totally new StandAlone OC4J and deployed all my previous applications to this new server.All the applications except where I used Struts Framework ran fine.

Error when deploying EAR in OC4J 10.1.3.0.0 with a deployment plan
Hello!
I try to deploy an ear file specifying a deployment plan generated from web interface using command line utilities. I try to use both admin_client.jar and oracle ant task and still get the same error. When i remove deployment plan argument, the application is successfully deployed.... Any Idea?
My server:

Olivier MARTINIf you're using OC4J standalone, use the latest available OC4J, 10.1.3.3.
If you're using a manage OC4J, ie. Application Server, upgrade to the latest available version and upgrade your JDK. The provided JDK might be outdated.

Problem in deploying EJBs in oc4j
Hi folks,
I am new to ejbs and now I am into support role for ejb2.0 project devoloped long ago. one of the module in that proj has ejb2.0 (Using CMP entity beans & Session beans(stateless))
The problem I am facing currently is , while running the the ejb module (by running a jsp page in that module) I am getting the following error.
In this log I found two things primarily
1) All ejbs are not deployed successfully (due to IntialContext lookup failure)
2) java.lang.NoSuchMethodError while calling the static method of a bean in the jsp
I have cross checked about the second one I didn't find any issue..is there any issue about jar(?) versions and I have run another jsp having no call to that static method then it is worked fine and the jsp view came(but still the first problem is there)
please help me...

I have checked with the path of xmllog4jconfig.xml which is in classpath.I tried with changing the string in LoggerFactory class

I am new to JDeveloper.I am using OracleJDeveloper 10.2.3 version.I am facing problem while deploying any application on embeded OC4J server.I have tried a lot after searching solution on this site,but all of no use.Actually i am not able to established connection with OC4J.Whenever i am testing the connection it`s giving message Connection Failed message.Please provide me the exact solution.I am in need of this so reply as soon as possible.

You dont have to create a connection to deploy in embedded oc4j. You can simply right click on the jsf page and run.

I have all the ADF libraries in applib of OC4J. Also, i have added "jsp-el-api.jar" in the applib of OC4J, as mention in reply to similar error in the forum.
But still i am getting the same error when i try to deploy the application.

Vikram singhThe one you're missing is something like commons-logging-xxx.jar. It either needs to be included in the EAR and the MANIFEST.MF, or you can put it in app-lib with the other stuff.

Hi,
I got a problem with WebService. I developer WS from WSDL and from DB generated code. Compiled it... I deployed it to WAR file and try to Deploy to OC4J Container through EM.
Deployment failed with compiler error. How could I find out any info about compilation error?

Also, OC4J doesn't support JAX-WS web services, if this is the case, you can use WebLogic instead of OC4J or create a JAX-RPC Web Service
In any case, try to deploy only the WAR file, instead of EAR

Portlet ear deployment fails with 9iAS/JDeveloper
Hi.
My portlet deployment fails, when I deploy
the portlet-ear (generated with java portlet wizard).
The connection to 9iAS works fine with the test.
I just get this error:

and they are not corrupted (atleast I don't see any relevant differences).

I am trying to access external webservice from my BPEL Process; imported the external system's wsdl with xsd into my local & change all the reference of the xsd in my wsdl ,which now pointing to local xsd etc.

Oracle explains:
The cause of the problem:
While defining an Exposed Service for your composite you used the option Generate WSDL from schemas and selected elements or types from one of more XML schema (.xsd) files to define the various message parts for input or outputs to the service. One of these message parts was defined by selecting from a schema an element or type that is not associated with an XML namespace.
Therefore at deployment time, if the WSDL file for the exposed service defines a default namespace, all elements must belong to either the default namespace or any namespace explicitly defined for each element or type. Since there is no XML namespace associated with the "no namespace" XML element or type in question there is no namespace prefix that can be used to identify the relevant XML namespace.
Solution:
1. Ensure all elements and types use an XML namespace.
Adjust the original XSD so that the offending "no namespace" elements/types are associated with a namespace.
2. Modify the WSDL for the service to allow No Namespace elements/types to be used
Whilst is is not possible to give a fixed sequence of steps to achieve this, essentially:
ensure the definitions element in the WSDL document does not use an xmlns="xxxx" attribute to set a default namespace
without a default namespace, ensure all other elements in the document that are expected to be associated with the previous default namespace have an explicit

Windows 7 Image Deployment Failed in HP model D530 using MDT 2012 and ADK 8.0
Hi,
I need your help to sort out the following issue.
I have installed MDT 2012 +ADK 8.0 and created Windows 7 32 bit OS from CD in the deployment share and tried deploying the raw OS from Deployment Share in to a reference machine (HP D530) ,the deployment failed also couldn't able to capture
Image from the machine,even the sysprep failed. This is the error

So tried the same in another HP machine ,the deployment was success and also was able to capture the refrence machine.
Need your help to find why this error occurred in this specific HP model D530 alone. Is it the reason that ADK was not supported in that specific model.
D530 is the maximum available HW model in client environment so your help will be much appreciated.
