Deployment JMS Properties not handled.

Hi.
Apologies if this is something wrong on my part - it could very well be.
I have been trying to implement the jms queue properties, as detailed here:
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/46/b10fcade5c0763e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm]
I have a simple ejb module to receive a message and rollback immediately in order to test this.
Upon deployment, the deliveryAttemptsLimited and maxDeliveryAttempts are implemented and perform as the document states.
[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/46/3156399f1214dfe10000000a155369/frameset.htm]
However, the deliveryDelayInterval and errorDestination properties seem to be ignored.
With the following jms-resources.xml, a message placed on the queue is processed twice (remember the ejb module just rolls back), and then disappears, and does not use any kind of delay before retrying and does not use the errorQueue specified.
Here is the jms-resources.xml.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<jms-resources xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="jms-resources.xsd">

            </config-property-value>
         </property>
      </sap-local-factory-type>
   </connection-factory>
     <destination>
      <name>MortyQueueTest</name>
      <type>javax.jms.Queue</type>
      <sap-local-destination-type>
         <virtual-provider>default</virtual-provider>
         <property><config-property-name>deliveryAttemptsLimited</config-property-name><config-property-value>True</config-property-value></property>
           <property><config-property-name>maxDeliveryAttempts</config-property-name><config-property-value>2</config-property-value></property>
           <property><config-property-name>deliveryDelayInterval</config-property-name><config-property-value>60000</config-property-value></property>
           <property><config-property-name>errorDestination</config-property-name><config-property-value>MortyErrorDestinationTest</config-property-value></property>
      </sap-local-destination-type>
   </destination>
   <destination>
      <name>MortyErrorDestinationTest</name>
      <type>javax.jms.Queue</type>
      <sap-local-destination-type>
         <virtual-provider>default</virtual-provider>
      </sap-local-destination-type>
   </destination>
</jms-resources>
I just cannot see what is wrong with the file.
Any pointers?  Im more than happy to be completely wrong here...
Does it require a restart of the application server?
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Try to change the type of the connection factory from javax.jms.XAQueueConnectionFactory to javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory. Tell me if it is still not working properly.
Best regards,
Ekaterina

  • Jms is not working properly in clustered environment

    Hi all,
    i am using the application server oc4j 10.1.3.1.0 enterprise edition . my application is standalone application(thick client)
    we are using the jndi.properties as follows ...
    java.naming.factory.initial=com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
    java.naming.provider.url=opmn:ormi://172.16.1.38:6005:group/Security,opmn:ormi://172.16.1.38:6006:deceval_group/Security
    java.naming.security.principal=oc4juser
    java.naming.security.credentials=oc4juser
    oracle.j2ee.rmi.loadBalance=lookup
    we have two application servers in cluster topology as u can see above we have used one instance from one application server and one from another.
    i have seen that for every instance there one jms server. at runtime it is taking one application servers services
    say opmn port 6005 but when the application is connecting to the another application server say opmn 6006
    here jms is not working properly when i send message
    As we have clustered environment message must be propagated all the applications who use above jndi.properties.
    if i keep use only one application server opmn say
    java.naming.provider.url=opmn:ormi://172.16.1.38:6005:group/Security
    then its is working excellently
    please can u provide any solution ASAP
    thanks in advance

  • A Connection to the deployment share could not be made....

    Hi,
    I know this question has been posted a fair number of times on the forums but so far none of the responses have fixed my issue.
    I am having trouble connecting to the deployment share receiving the error message below.
    "A connection to the deployment share could not be made. The deployment will not proceed.
    The following networking device did not have a driver installed PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_00041179&REV_10"
    I have downloaded the correct network drivers and even installed Windows 7 manually and added
    the drivers to check they are correct drivers.
    I have added them to the OOB drivers in the deployment share and then updated and also regenerated
    the deployment share. Then i have updated the .wim file in the boot images folder but yet i still cannot get past this stage.
    Does anyone have any further ideas that i could try?
    Thanks,
    Adam

    Hi,
    I can exit to cmd and attempt ipconfig/ping etc. but get confirmation that there is no IP.
    The imaging process is working for older versions of laptops and Netbooks but not for the newer models. They are all Toshiba models.

  • JMS Header: JMS Properties and Message Selector

    Hi all
    I´m using a JMS Adapter to consume messages from a JMS queue (a JMS adapter which create the BPEL instance when a message arrives).
    The process must select messages which meet certain criterias, so I´m using Message Selector to filter the messages and only pick up the ones who interest me (If click on the "help" button on JDeveloper Wizard in the page you define Message Selector, you can see an example on how doing this).
    So how can I select messages using values placed on JMS Properties, in the Message Selector?
    For example, I set in the JMS Header:
    JMSInboundHeadersAndProperties
    --------JMSInboundProperties
    ----------------Property
    -----------------------name = 'Country'
    -----------------------value = 'Brazil'
    The JMSAdapter must consume only messages that "Country" = "Brazil".
    Thanks in advance.
    Menezes

    Yes
    I am able to specify JMS Header and JMS Properties when producing a message. However I am not able to user "Message Selector" to filter messages based on JMS Properties information when consuming messages.
    In the link you provide, there is an example on how to use Message Selector:
    # (a copy from the link)
    Message Selector
    ...for example, you can enter logic, such as:
    * JMSType = 'car' AND color = 'blue' AND weight > 2500
    * Country in ('UK', 'US', 'France')
    I believe the example with "Country" is exactly what I need, but I can´t get it work.
    I create the same example above, setting a property named "Country" in the JMSHeader, sending the message to a JMS Queue (BPEL Process #1) and try to comsume it on the Message Selector (BPEL Process#2), but JMSAdapter never consumes the message.
    Thanks for your help.

    My Steps for OJMS PRovider
    1. Creating AQ queue in DB
    2. configuration of resource adapter and provider
    3. configuration of connection factories for resourceadapter[jmsconnector]
    code:
    1. Created the Queue table in DB using the sql
    DROP USER jmsuser CASCADE;
    GRANT connect, resource,AQ_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE TO jmsuser IDENTIFIED BY jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aqadm TO jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aq TO jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aqin TO jmsuser;
    GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_aqjms TO jmsuser;
    connect jmsuser/jmsuser;
    -- Create table to hold the queue, then create queue.
    -- For topics multiple_consumers must be true
    BEGIN
    DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE( Queue_table => 'SMSCP_INQTBL', Queue_payload_type => 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_MESSAGE',
    sort_list => 'PRIORITY,ENQ_TIME', multiple_consumers => false, compatible => '8.1.5');
    DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE( Queue_name => 'SMSCP_INQ', Queue_table => 'SMSCP_INQTBL');
    DBMS_AQADM.START_QUEUE(queue_name => 'SMSCP_INQ');
    END;
    quit;
    Now our queue Name is queue Name : SMSCP_INQ table Name: SMSCP_INQTBL
    2. Creating the Cp and datasource for the db [jmsuser] to make java to access queue
    Creating ConnectionPool jmsDBPool
    Creating DataSource jmsDBDataSource
    Jndi jdbc jdbc/JMSDBDS
    After creating, i got the following data-sources.xml

  • MDB deployement error in Glassfish - "JMS resource not created"

    Hi,
    I'm tring to deploy a J2EE application which has couple of MDBs in Glassfish 2.1. I get the following error when I deploy the EAR file to the app server. I've cofigured JMS resources using admin console but still getting this error. I've no experience of JMS, I'm not sure if I've configured it correctly. Any step-by-step guide with screenshots would be very useful, but can't find any. Please help me if you have any idea what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

  • JMS Adapter not appearing in Adapter Monitor, How to Fix ?

    JMS Adapter not appearing in Adapter Monitor screen when choosing "Only Installed and Started Adapters" option. What need to do to install and start the JMS adapter.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Only JMS adapter is not seen in the adapter monitor or other adapters are not listed in the same.
    Have you checked whether the JMS drivers are installed on XI or not?
    First would be to deploy drivers for JMS scenarios - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/3867a582-0401-0010-6cbf-9644e49f1a10

  • Message Queue 4.4 doesn't know "jms.properties" ?

    Sun JMS Tutorial illustrates using a properties file to supply context properties. You define a System property "jms.properties" to point to the location of the properties file:
    java -Djms.properties=%J2EE_HOME%\config\jms_client.propertiesInside of said file is the properties in question (these are a surmise; the contents are nowhere documented).
    java.naming.factory.initial=com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory
    java.naming.provider.url=file:///C:/TempThen a call to InitialContext() will succeed.
    But the Tutorial assumes you're running under J2EE, and I'm not. I'm using the stand-alone Message Queue 4.4. If I define the properties on the command line,
    java -Djava.naming.factory.initial=com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory -Djava.naming.provider.url=file:///C:/Tempthen InitialContext() succeeds.
    If I explicitly dump the contents of the file into System.properties,
           String
           prop = System.getProperty( "jms.properties" );
           Properties props = System.getProperties();
           try  {
               java.io.File pf = new java.io.File( prop );
               props.load( new java.io.FileInputStream(pf) );
           catch( Exception ex )  { ex.printStackTrace(); }Then they get defined and InitialContext() tries to use them. But if I don't then they never get defined. Obviously the Tutorial expects that someone will do that, but who? AFAIK, both environments use the same naming library.
    Has the behavior of MQ changed since version 1.3 of the tutorial? Or is J2EE doing something that the standalone product doesn't?

    This is all about JNDI configuration. Before you can look up an object in a JNDI repository you need to tell the JNDI runtime which JNDI provider to use. This means you need to set the system properties java.naming.factory.initial and java.naming.provider.url to specify which JNDI provider to use and where the data is located. There's a bit about this in the JNDI tutorial [http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial/basics/prepare/initial.html|http://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial/basics/prepare/initial.html] .
    The tutorial you are running uses the simple file-based JNDI provider known as "fscontext" and included in fscontext.jar.
    That tutorial seems to be reading the jms.properties property and importing its contents, though I can't see where that is supposed to happen and so am not surprised it doesn't work. jms.properties is not, as far as I can see, a standard property name.
    The MQ 4.4 documentation describes how to configure an InitialContext to use fscontext by configuring those properties directly. This would definitely work!
    [http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-0029/aeqbb?a=view|http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-0029/aeqbb?a=view]
    Note that your JNDI datastore (which you've defined to be in C:\Temp) will start off empty, so any lookups will fail unless you've inserted connection factories or destinations in there yourself. I see that is covered elsewhere in the JMS tutorial you were following. There's also a simple MQ GUI tool that can do this. [http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-0027/aeoaz?a=view|http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-0027/aeoaz?a=view]
    Finally, if you're simply trying to learn about JMS and MQ you can skip the use of JNDI completely and simply instantiate the underlying connection factories explicitly. This wouldn't be appropriate in a production environment (where it is recommended to store such objects in a central store) but for developmeht purposes would work just fine.

  • WLS does not handle reusable jar with tag-files?

    I want to encapsulate some tag-files in a re-usable jar that can be included in multiple applications. According to all the documentation that I've found what I need to do is create a jar file containing:
    META-INF/taglib.tld
    META-INF/tags/myTag.tag
    where the taglib.tld contains (among other things):
    <uri>myTag</uri>
    <tag-file>
    <name>someName</name>
    <path>META-INF/tags/myTag.tag</path>
    </tag-file>
    Then I am supposed to take that jar file and put it in my web application under WEB-INF/lib,
    and in my index.jsp I can refer to <%@taglib prefix="myt" uri="myTag">
    However when I do this (on wls 12c) the application seems to deploy ok but when I try to access index.jsp I get:
    weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: Failed to compile JSP /index.jsp
    index.jsp:14:4: No tag library could be found with this URI. Possible causes could be that the URI is incorrect, or that there were errors during parsing of the .tld file.
    <%@taglib prefix="tags" uri="myt" %>
    Related facts:
    1. When I deploy these projects in Glassfish it works . as I expected based on the documentation with no errors.
    2. If I copy the tag files and tld with no modification directly into the web application as:
    <my web app>/WEB-INF/taglib.tld
    and <my web app>/META-INF/tags/myTag.tag
    then it does work. However, that prevents me from packaging the tag-files as a re-usable jar.
    (Facts 1 & 2 seem to imply that the files are correct and that WebLogic is not handling the jar correctly?)
    3. I've seen suggestions that there needs to be a <taglib> entry in web.xml. I have tried this and...
    - the text I've seen on the web generates an error. It seems to need to be within a <jsp-config> entry in web.xml.
    - even with this I still get the same error.
    Does anyone have a suggestion for how to get Weblogic to handle tag-files inside a re-usable jar?
    Do you have an example jar you can point me to just to see that it works on my system?
    Is there some special configuration needed by Weblogic to tell it to handle this construct?
    And finally, the error message is saying that one of two things is wrong:
    Either:
    A) it cannot find the referenced taglib file, or
    B) the tld file failed to compile.
    Is there any way for me to find out which of these is happening? The error messages in WLS do not seem to give any more info, so I cannot easily distinguish between these possibilities.
    Thanks for your assistance.

    After 3 days of seeing this error, immediately after posting this request the problem disappeared. Sigh.
    So for now this problem is closed. If it comes back I'll re-post.

  • Why do I get a "NullReferenceException was not handled by user code" error in one situation but not in the other?

    We are using Sharepoint 2010 and Infopath 2010.  In my form, I have a Managed Metadata field that I need to test for a Null value.  I found, with the help of this forum's participatns, that a [field]_Changed event for one MMD field runs multiple
    time because of the underlying XML elements (Terms, TermInfo, TermName, TermId).  So I'm trying to figure out how to test the XML to see when the TermName has a value.  By doing this, I hope to limit when the additional code in my form runs, i.e.
    I'll only trigger it when TermName is not null.
    Just to test for null/empty (before doing anything that calls the addtional code) when I run this code, it completes correctly but always shows a message box:
    Dim strTest As String = Me.CreateNavigator.SelectSingleNode("/pr:properties/p:properties/documentManagement/ns2:h2b59c4ae4144c01973b1d8571d217ad", Me.NamespaceManager).InnerXml
                If String.IsNullOrEmpty(strTest) Then
                Else
                    MessageBox.Show("This is the value of the States InnerXML   " & strTest)
                End If
    But when I run this code, I get a "NullReferenceException was not handled by user code.  Object reference not set to an instance of an object" at the "Dim strTest..." line:
       Dim strTest As String = Me.CreateNavigator.SelectSingleNode("/pr:properties/p:properties/documentManagement/ns2:h2b59c4ae4144c01973b1d8571d217ad/pc:Terms/pc:TermInfo/pc:TermName", Me.NamespaceManager).InnerXml
                If String.IsNullOrEmpty(strTest) Then
                Else
                    MessageBox.Show("This is the value of the States InnerXML   " & strTest)
                End If
    Can any one explain why drilling down like this gives me this error?  And can you tell me how to get around it so I can limit how many times the code in my Infopath form needs to run?
    Thanks in advance.  Carol.

    Never mind, I think I've got it figured out.  When I do it this way, I get to the If Not...Nothing at the correct time. Thanks for sending me down the correct path, Scott. Carol.:

  • Performance issue is most probably caused by the fact that IE can not handle such amount of requests ? is it ?

    Hi,
    I'm running web applications and there is performance issue is most probably caused by the fact that IE can not handle such amount of requests that are forwarded to the server at the same time.
    Data:
    On IE(10) – search variety 11- it takes a long time (about 25 seconds for response) .
    in general, the responding time of "search variety" in IE is much longer than Chrome.
    IE - see:http://screencast.com/t/kSeT3hC2mRfV
    Chrome see:http://screencast.com/t/NYf6fskU
    Why? any solution ?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    without a link to your site (so we can use the same tools mentioned above)... we can only guess.
    these are peer to peer support forums... your favorite web search engine will help you to learn about web development.
    display the Developer tool console in each browser to view the suppressed error messages.
    All modern browsers support the performance api or your can use the Networking tab to view the latency metrics for the site.... commonly you may be using meta directives for caching instead of server headers or you have different settings between browsers
    which determine how long resources are cached. Commonly, IE has a different security model to other browsers... ensure that you are using the Default IE security zone settings.... Actions like innerHTML go through a sanitization process to remove script content...
    Commonly AJAX calls are made during the onload event...
    Please post questions about web site development to the IE Web Developer forum. Include with your questions a link to your website or a publicly accessible mashup that shows your issue.

    Hi @all,
    we're implementing a Proxy-2-JMS-Scenario. The JMS reciever side needs unfortunalety more than 10 additional JMS properties. In XI/PI the maximum number of additional JMS properties is 10.
    Do somebody know a good workaround in PI how to deal with it?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi @all,
    there is no way to handle with more than 10 additional jms properties for jms header.
