Deployment of ADF Application on Oracle application server

Respected Experts ,
I have created a ADF application using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2.0 the version of ADF is 10.1.3.40.66
Now i have the following questions.
1. I have installed Oracle Application server 10.1.3.1.0 (Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0) ,how ever i have installed only the j2ee server and web server .The server is on Linux (Red hat ES 4).
The server has installed sucessfully and can be accessed by using em. but when i am deploying the application on server using server control by uploading the war file the application gets deployed correctly but on acessing it through browser it gives HTTP 500 error.
Is this due to ADF runtime version mismatch ? or some other reasons are there.
2. What is the opmn port of this server ,so i can make connection from jdeveloper.
3. How to update ADF runtime of server.
4.How to configure datasource or jdbc source on server.
Thanks in advance ,please help me .

The steps for correctly deploying the application are in the documentation:

  • URGENT: Deployment of ADF UIX application to Oracle App Server 10g

    Hi,
Please let me know of documentation of how to deploy an ADF UIX application developed using Jdeveloper9.0.5.2 to Oracle Application Server 10g.
I have already created an WAR and EAR deployment profile. and also an ORacle APp server connection from the connections tab in Jdeveloper.
    Thanks a lot.

Have a look at the JDeveloper online help (F1) there is a complete chapter about deploying:
    http://helponline.oracle.com/jdeveloper/help/state/content/destination.2%7E9%7E1%7E6%7E/navSetId.jdeveloper/oldNavId.0/navId.0/oldNavSetId.jdeveloper/
Basically you need to deploy the ADF runtime libraries (use the ADF Runtime Installer), and then deploy your WAR.

  • How to deploy ADF page into Oracle Applications

    Hi Guys,
Is there anyway for deploying ADF pages into Oracle Applications.
Please share some links or information if you have any.
    Appreciate your help !!
    Thanks,
    VJ

You cannot run your ADF application  on the EBS web-server. You need to run it on weblogic or glassfish or tomcat. But you can call your page from the EBS. For this, just define proper "Function" in EBS that calls a jsp page. If you need to pass information from EBS to your application like USER_ID, you can in "Function" -> "Parameters" use $PROFILE$.USER_ID to get the connected user id.
You can also research AppsDataSource that you can define in weblogic , but it is more difficult

  • How to deploy a web service on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2?

    Hi everyone,
I followed the instructions of the following link to create a web service using jDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2. [http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/jdev/obe1013jdev/10131/devdepandmanagingws/devdepandmanagingws.htm#t1]
The web service created was deployed & used with no errors on the standalone OC4J instance.
But my goal is to deploy my web service on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2.
So after several attempts, I was able to deploy it on the Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 but unfortunately I didn't know the URL needed to use the web service.
I tried the following link (http://192.168.0.91:18100/JavaWebService-GetDates-context-root/GetDatesWSSoapHttpPort) but also didn't work :(
I also tried converting to J2EE 1.3 and still not knowing how to access the web service.
    Please advice with a solution.
    Thanks in advance.
    Lana

Thanks everyone for your help :)
The problem turned out to be that Oracle application server 10.1.2 is unlike the others servers, it uses 2 ports:
    - port (19100) is dedicated for the console.
    - port (7779) is to view your applications.
So the URL needed turned out to be "http://acteos-109.beirut.acteos:7779/beanTest" instead of "http://acteos-109.beirut.acteos:18100/beanTest"
    Hope this info is useful

I think you put the questionin the wrong forum, this is all about Oracle SOA Technology, and deployment is a task within SOA.

Can anybody help me? what might be the problem?
    Thanks

    Syed,
Did you generate your application with service -level property "JSP version" set to "1.2"? If not, you cannot deploy your app to a J2EE 1.3 application server like Oracle AS 10.1.2.

    Hi,
Well you just need to create a directory in paste your forms there, and then make an entry in the formsweb.cfg file and forms.conf files. Likewise there are entries for the images and report.

  • How to register ADF pages in Oracle Applications 11.5.10 or 12

    Hi,
I have created an ADF application with JSF pages. Now I want to register this application into Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 or Release 12.
Any idea how can I do this? Is that possible now?
    Thanks in advance
    RG

    Ram,
What I mean is once we deploy the application in R12 say OC4J with J2EE compliance, whatever, how to register this new application with the Oracle Applications like OA framework does?
This should be similar to hoiw u register any other custom jsp, although I haven't tried it in R12 after you have deployed your ADF page.To be clear, How can we use the Oracle Applications Menu/Function security to launch the ADF application?
You would not be able to use seeded Oracle apps features in your ADF application like global links, flexfields etc, because Apps still does not provide AOL/J layer for ADF applications. This is only for OAF/JTT/JTf applications. But your custom application can be launched like other pages from apps function. I am still 100% sure....(But should be possible as per the techstack features) I have to try this... once I get time :)!--Mukul
