Deployment to IIS help

Hi,
I am trying to deploy my program to an IIS server (5.0) I'm having problems setting the classpath. I've installed JRE on the server. Is this enough? Do I need to install more components??

What is your application deployment platform comprised of? How many Logical Tiers - running where / what?
What kind of components are you trying
to deploy onto IIS?
Also, please look at and apply the bug patches outlined in article:

I am trying to launch Amazon EC2 windows server 2008 R2 instance using AWS Auto Scaling feature. I have used cusmized AMI in Autoscaling Launch configuration to launch an instance.I have placed Power Shell script in AMI.
The responsibility of script is to download code from AWS S3 and deploy in IIS server while windows startup first time.
When i check status, IIS is started succesfully. But default Application pool is not started.
To resolve this issue i have written one scheduled script. It helps to start the application pool if any application pool is in stopped state.
After this Application pool is started but i am not able to communicate with IIS server through browser.
Please help any one to resolve this issue.

Deploying Browser Based Help

Hi,
We have generated a Browser Based help with RoboHelp 9.
We want to deploy/configure the help in a server and give the URL of the same to the users to access. How this can be done. Kindly suggest.

Krishna,
You or your developers will need to deploy the help on a the server that the users will access it from. Basically that means copying all the the files from the SSL folder where you generated the Browser Based Air Help to the server (or as Jeff suggested publish the help when it is generated).
You then simply give the users the link to the URL including the start up file (index.htm or whatever you have called it).
It is good practice to povide a link from the software application to the help (using a Help button/link). This is something you'll need to work out with the developer as she/he will link to the same URL using a call from the program.
I'd recommend thoroughly testing the links and content using all the browsers you need to support before giving out the link to the users.

Oid connector deployment failed.plz help

When i tried to install the oid connector 9.0.4.12 for oim version 9.1.0 and application server is weblogic. i am getting
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
Duplicate OBJ while Import of Connector XML Files (Using Deployment Manager) .
please help wat could be the reason.

I got the following error while deployment

It looks like your domain does not have the required libraries configured.
If you created your domain with the Configuration Wizard, you should be able to go back and extend it to include Portal.

In answer to your first question: In most apache installs, you want to place all your JSPs under the Apache/htdocs directory. This htdocs directory becomes the root directory of your HTTP request, so, for example, to access the file
Apache/htdocs/mydir/myJSP.jsp
you'd point your browser to

Hi,
It looks like the conversion of datatype is making issues.
Either existing values are not complaint with the size changes you made.
To resolve this either you remove the existing records and deploy.
Take a backup of records and reimport later with default values to the newly added cols if they are not null.

They are two different problems.
The first may be due to an incorrectly packaged ear file or by some garbage temporary files or bad WebLoigc status.
The second may be due to some garbage temporary files or bad WebLoigc status.
At first step try cleaning up by
- stopping all the WebLogic server instances (admin and managed)
- removing <domain>/servers/<server_name>/tmp , <domain>/servers/<server_name>/cache , <domain>/servers/<server_name>/stage
- start all the WebLogic server instances (admin and managed)
And try again.

How to deploy JavaHelp server help demo on JBoss?

I tried JavaHelp's server help demo on tomcat it worked fine. I was able to view all the help docs. But I need to change the configuration for the demo to work on JBoss-4.0.1. I deployed the content on Jboss but when running the index.jsp, I got this error. What am I missing? Do I need to change the implementation or what? Any input is appreciated.

BPEL Console is for deploying BPEL projects. And when you talking about war file, those are web archive files, application server specific. Please refer to the Application Server document for deploying war files. Like for OC4J, you can do the same via Enterprise Manager.

I've developed an application that is intended to simply the InfoView interface for our user community. I need to be able to deploy this application and its dependencies (i.e. assemblies) in a single IIS virtual folder--the group that manges our shared IIS environment doesn't support installations to the GAC. While this application (details below) works well on my workstation, I'm encountering a number of issues when I try to deploy it in our shared environment. Is this possible? Is so, what assembilies are required? Is there any documentation on this?

I'm getting errors with the code before the viewer comes into play. Specifically, I'm getting an error that indicates that the BusinessObjects.Enterprise.SDK.dll can not be found. Is this related?
Stupid question: will merge module deployment will require the IIS server administrator to run and installation package? I suspect that this won't be supported in our shared environment. Is there another way?

No Audio with Sony, Deployed Soldier needs help

I am deployed to Afghanistant with the Army and I am on my third version of CS3 and after talking to the Tech support the other night I found out that the Codec my Sony camera has is not supported by CS3. Purchaseing a $500.00 plug in is NOT an option. Can anyone help me, how can I get the CS3 to bring in Audio? I have a deadline of mid to late October 2008 to finsih this product and could really use the help.

Wild guess, try this:
If you've got Encore CS3 installed , copy the file ad2ac3dec.dll from
the Encore CS3 directory and paste it into the PPro CS3 root directory.
Once you restart CS3, you'll be able to import the file with the
audio. This means if you've already have a project with the files
imported, you'll need to remove the files from the project and
then re-import them, or just start over with a new project.

Hi Ravi,
I am thinking deploying these html files as a part of separate application in weblogic might be another approach. This process is like
1. Making a .war(.ear) of your html
2. Deploying the .war in weblogic through deployments as an application with an application context.
3. Referencing the files in analytics or even outside just through a url.
