Deply error

I was building a web application. Everything has been fine all day, until now. When i clicked run, the deploying to tomcat peroid was taking too long so i stopped tomcat. Now when i try to run the porgram i get:
C:\Users\evesham\WebApplication1\nbproject\build-impl.xml:440: Deployment error:
Starting of Tomcat failed, the server port 8084 is already in use.
See the server log for details.
BUILD FAILED (total time: 0 seconds)
how do solve this or how do i undeploy and redeploy

badhair,
Up front I know diddly about tomcat specifically, but I have used weblogic for the past year or so...
Weblogic occasionally stuffs up just like that when given an invalid war file to re-autodeploy (all it takes is simple typo in the weblogic.xml)... and I'm pretty sure weblogic uses tomcat internally. So this just might work for you.
Delete everything!
That's right, shutdown everything down and manually get in there and delete the "application directory" out of domains, yes especially the donot_delete directory.
Then restart the server and deploy.
Another trick is don't mix autodeploy (drop the war into the deploy directory) and manual deployment (from the console). They seem to be incompatible.
Good luck. Keith.

  • Error while deplying from NWDS 7.0 to PI 7.1

    Hello Frenz,
I am trying to deply an webdynpro application developed with NWDS 7.0 on PI 7.1 server. But i am getting the following error. Any idea about this. Please help.
Description:'1. [ERROR CODE DPL.DS.6193] Error while ; nested exception is:
com.sap.engine.services.deploy.exceptions.ServerDeploymentException: [ERROR CODE DPL.DS.5082] Exception while validating application com.tsi/xyz.
No one of the [com.sap.security.login-modules] containers, which processed it, returned deployed component names.
The registered containers in this moment were [CTCContainer, com.sap.caf.um.metadata, com.sap.security.ume, com.sap.security.login-modules, app_libraries_container, Cache Configuration Upload, servlet_jsp, dbcontentcontainer, connector, Cluster File System, JMSConnector, MigrationContainer, Monitoring Configurator, dbschemacontainer, appclient, orpersistence, PortalRuntimeContainer, JDBCConnector, EJBContainer, metamodelrepository, webservices_container, scheduler~container, ConfigurationsContainer, Content Container].
    Possible reasons :
1.An AS Java service, which is providing a container, is stopped or not deployed.
2.The containers, which processed it, are not implemented correct. They deployed or started initially the application, but didn't return deployed components in the application deployment info.'.

    HI,
    1. structure of WD in 7.1 is totally diff from 7.0 WD. so if you tried to deploy them directly after developing in NWDS 7.0 it wont work.
    2. and also you have to consider the compiler versions too
    so
Either open your project in NWDS 7.1 and migrate it...or atleast try to build it in NWDS7.1.
if you r application successfully built then you will be able to deploy it.
7.1 have a downward compatibilty for 7.0 but the major problem is the environment and compiler where it is developed.

In that case (with customizations in xlWebApp.war), I will try to deploy the DELIVERED xlWebApp.war first.
If the problem happens there too, then it sould be environmental related (something changed).
OIM 9.1.0.2 is the latest Version of OIM 10g releases....
It is a Upgrade only Release and direct deployment is not possible.
You need to build OIM 9.1.0.1 - Then apply/upgrade to 9.1.0.2

  • Weblogic 6.0  deplying ear, xml parsing error occurs in a repeating deployment of the files !

    Hello there !
I am using WLS 6.0 and deploying our application (developed on jboss)
now on weblogic.I am receiving the attached message at the end of this
mail. The Strange thing is, it keeps compiling and generating
    wl_comp<nnnnnn>.ear files non-stop in the wl_temp_do_not_delete
directory. I have to delete the ear file that this behavior will stop.
    so two questions:
    - is there a way to stop this "repeating" behavior, because it only
uses diskpace? Is this a bug in the 6.0 version?
    - what exactly is this error, what I have done wrong in my ear, which
    xml ?
    Thanks for your time.
    Regards
    Mark

Oh yes, thank you for reminding me. It is the library. We needed space on the hard drive for some HD video while on vacation and the only way to make room was to burn some DVDs of my photos. I did it all nice and neat so I could put it back when I got home, but then I forgot. Probably not the safest way to do it!
Time to update to a 500GB hard drive I guess! Thanks for your help.

Let's first try running a chkdsk over your C drive. There's Windows 7 instructions in the following document. Select both "automatically fix file system errors" and "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you choose to go about things). You should be prompted to schedule the scan to run on restart. That sort of scan of the C drive should take a long time ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan:
[How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)|http://www.w7forums.com/use-chkdsk-check-disk-t448.html]
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

This Variable: "FRAMEWORK" is NOT there in SP3 version of the class BUT it is there in SP5 version of the class PortalFrameworkProduct. This class is in netuix_util.jar under APP- INF/lib.
This means somewhere still some Old SP3 Version JARs are getting referenced.
So please make sure to upgrade all the Portal Libraries following the instructions given in the edocs upgrade link.
For now quickly fix this by copying netuix_util.jar from Portal Software folder to your application folder i.e from ...\bea81sp5\weblogic81\portal\lib\netuix\ejb to ...\yourPortalApp\APP-INF\lib
I would strongly recommend to please download this Portal Consistency Checker Tool and follow the readme.txt file on how to install and run this. Then send us the HTML report. This tool tells us if all the Portal Libraries are properly updated or not. Sometimes, if the files on the disk are Readonly, when we Update the libraries from Workshop, they may not update them. So please install and run this tool: http://dev2dev/codelibrary/code/portal_consistency_checker.jsp

question 1 - how do i use the force attribute when deploying from visual studio
question 2 - am i deplying it to the right place, if i deply it to the

If you are deploying from Visual Studio then please follow this post:

Open the visual Studio and navigate to the feature XML file and add the bellow attribute.
    AlwaysForceInstall="TRUE"

  • Error 503--Service Unavailable. Error while Test the webservice

    Hi...
I created a webservice and deply it into a remote weblogic server. It deployed there and when I click on Test client, it shows this error.
    Error 503--Service Unavailable
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable
The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay may be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response.
Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
    How we can rectify this.
    hope for a reply...
    Resmi.

Check the WLS server log files for a more detailed error (stacktrace).

  • Error while opening the CAF runtime configurator

    Dear Experts,
I am very much new to the CAF, and working on it initially.
Let me explain what exactly i did.
    1. Created a New development Project.
    2. Created an entity under entity services.
    3. Created an operation under operation tab. This is a findby operation which uses one of the attributes as the search criteria.
    4. Saved the project.
    5. Right clicked on the project and selected Generate code.
    6. Now right clicked on the project, and then Selected BUILD, and in the popup i deselected Build if Neccesary check box.
    7. Now right click on the project and choosen Deploy to J2EE.
    8. Under Tasks/Properties tab, i am getting an error saying that, Failed to deply atleast one .Ear file. It also says that it needs administrator rights.even though user login which i used for SDM in the step 8 has Administrator role.
    9. Now, when i goto the browser, and type the url: http://<host>:<port>/caf, where replacing host with my hostname and port with the port, I am getting an exception.
It says " Cluster wide exception.... " and some other thing.
Finally, I am struck up with these two errors..
    1. Error while deploying it in to J2EE .
    2. Unable to open CAF runtime configurator.
Hope i am clear in conveying the problem.
    Need you help and guidance.

    Shashikanth. D

what I don't understand is the fact that my EventBusSystemModule in some way references wlsbJMSServer_auto_1 (not created by my script but this JMS server is already available in OSB).
I run successfully the above script againt ALSB 3.0 but now with OSB something goes wrong.
As you see from above output, the script:
    - create file store EventBusFileStore_m01 (m01 is the m01 managed server in the cluster)
    - create JMS server EventBusJMSServer_m01
    - create file store EventBusFileStore_m02

    - created JMS module EventBusSystemModule
from py point of view the code is:
    def createJMSModule(jmsModuleName, cluster):
print '#### ready to create JMS module ' + jmsModuleName
    cd('/')
    jmsModule = cmo.createJMSSystemResource(jmsModuleName)
    cd('/JMSSystemResources/' + jmsModuleName)

Sounds like the database information is wrong, Have you tried correctign this through the BPM Process administrator? There are a few places where you setup database configuration it's probably one of them.
I'm am fairly new so I can only offer up that.
I'm having a nightmare myself deplying a process engine, good luck
