Deprecation with wlwBuild ant task?

<pre>Dear All,
How can I turn on deprecation for the ant task wlwBuild for Workshop applications?
I have tried the attribute deprecation="on" for wlwBuild, but it did not work.
Thanks a lot!
George</pre>

Well, I wish to find out all the deprecated classes and methods used in code, during compilation time.
The ant task javac has the attribute deprecation which accomplishes the task.
Similarly, is there anything in the ant task wlwBuild?
Thanks a lot!
George

  • Problems with wlserver ant task for WL 8.1

    hi
    i have a problem with using wlserver ant task for Weblogic 8.1
    basically i want to start the server that is already preconfigured and deploy
    one ear.
    here's what i do:
    <taskdef name="wlserver" classname="weblogic.ant.taskdefs.management.WLServer">
    <classpath refid="lib.classpath"/>
    </taskdef>
    <wlserver action="start" dir="D:/BEA/user_projects/domains/mydomain"
    output="wls81.log"/>
    (and then the deployment task - irrelevant here)
    the classpath is generated automatically and includes all jars in the specific
    project directory:
         <path id="lib.classpath">
         <fileset dir="${proj.lib.dir}">
              <include name="**/*.jar"/>
         </fileset>
         </path>
    (weblogic.jar is there as well)
    the problem is when i run it, the following happens:
    - if i have action="start" (or no action attribute at all), i get the following
    exception:
    java.lang.NullPointerException

    it seems that this task is skipped completely. no error messages, no stack trace,
    nothing. i tried -verbose and -debug options on ant, but there're no logs displayed
    whatsoever. it takes less than a second to run this task so i presume it's just
    getting skipped completely.
    i run this from the standalone Ant 1.5.4 on Windows environment.

    sounds bug to me. NPE should be correctly handled with appropriate error
    message. Please contact BEA support to log the call.

  • Using xsb files with xmlbeans ant task

    Actually it doesn't work properly in SQL Server 2008 R2.  I have a similar EP task.  If I set the working directory to \\server\share\subdir the task fails. However, if I map a drive latter to the \\server\share and set working directory to <drive>:\subdir
    it works

    BEA provides several ant scripts, however only one runs correctly. Thus you have to specify the full path of your ant script.
    1. Setup your vars invoquing:% WL_HOME%\common\bin\commEnv.cmd
    2. set ANT_HOME=%WL_HOME%\integration\adapters\utils
    3. Build use full path!!! %ANT_HOME%\ant.cmd -f mybuild.xml
    After step 2, WL_HOME\server\bin is in your PATH and there is an ANT script in that path, which does fail. That's why you have to specify the "correct" ant script's full path when running ant.

  • A Tip for using EJB 3.0 with WebLogic Ant Tasks

    I started out writing this up as a problem, but then I found the answer so I'm, posting a tip instead.
    When I tried to write an EJB [stateless] using EJB 3.0 in my legacy Weblogic ear project I started getting this error:
    <pre>
    No EJBs found in the ejb-jar file 'test'. Please ensure the ejb-jar contains EJB declarations via an ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptor or at least one class annotated with the @Stateless, @Stateful or @MessageDriven EJB annotation.
    </pre>
    This is why: wlcompile will put the class files in the App-Inf/classes directory unless it finds an ejb-jar.xml file in the META-INF directory for the module it is working on. With EJB 3.0, I wasn't using an ejb-jar.xml file because it was unnecessary. Later, Appc runs and it complains <b>because there are no classes module directory, they went into the shared ear folder instead.</b>
    Here's I how it working again: Use javac [not wlcompile] to compile the EJB 3.0 module and make sure that the class files go into the correct module directory. Then you can use wlappc to generate all the associated files for the EJB. I have sucessfully deployed an ear file that uses both EJB 2.x and EJB 3.0 with this approach.
    I wish Weblogic's own ejb3.0 sample application used their split directory deployment.
    Good Luck.
    John Aronson

    Hi John,
    I am working on development an enterprise application using EJB 3.0 on Weblogic 10.
    While developing, I am keeping all my classes (from ejb's as well as web) into APP-INF/classes directory. It is working fine for Web and ejb 2.0 packages, but ejb 3.0 packages, I get the following error when I keep my ejb 3.0 beans classes in APP-INF/classes directory.
    No EJBs found in the ejb-jar file 'customer'. Please ensure the ejb-jar contains EJB declarations via an ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptor or at least one class annotated with the @Stateless, @Stateful or @MessageDriven EJB annotation.
    One solution is to keep the classes under customer ejb directory, but I wan tto keep all the classes in APP-INF/classes directory so that when using Eclipse IDE I can output all compiled sources into APP-INF/classes directory.
    Has anyone faced this situation? Any suggestions to fix this issue?

  • Why wlappc ANT task forces aways the generation of the EJB classes ?

    I've got a problem with the ANT task "wlappc" witch interfaces Weblogic compilator.
    In fact, I would like to execute the ebj compilation only when needed (if the deployment descriptor or a class changed for example).
    It seems that this is the default behavior and the 'forcegeneration' option of the wlappc Ant task can change it (the doc is below).
    forceGeneration :
    Forces generation of EJB and JSP classes. Without this flag, the classes will not be regenerated unless a checksum indicates that it is necessary.
    So I wrote :
    <wlappc source="${descriptors}/CommandeEntities" output="${build}/CommandsEntities.jar" keepgenerated="true" verbose="true" forcegeneration="false">

  • Assemble ant task and dependencies

    We are in a process of moving from wasp 4.5 to OC4J R3.
    We want to be able to assemble (and deploy) a bottom-up java web service using ant.
    I look at the assemble ant task but I couldn't find out how to specify using that task the jars that will be copied to WEB-INF/lib or any other option like using a custom oracle-webservices.xml file to specify the dependencies or specifying a shard library to be used..
    The documentation is really unclear about the subject.

    What's your approach to pack the files?
    Just use the assemble task to create the war structure and then add all the dependencies?
    I'm new to OC4j but it seems a reasonable request to add dependencies with the ant task , just like when you use the input tag to specify which files should be in WEB-INF/classes.
    The oracle-webservices.xml is another way to specify the web service (if i remember correctly) and I gave it as another example of where I looked to solve to problem.
    It shouldn't be that hard to pack to war file myself... it's just annoying that when you come from WASP 4.5 which is over 3 years old and it's so easy and clear how to pack a bottom-up web service.

  • Ant tasks and SSL

    Hi-
              I create my domain using the ant tasks (wlserver and wlconfig) but I can't figure out how to tell the domain to enable SSL and use a specific port. Doing this in the console is simple but I can't find any docs showing how to do this with the ant tasks.
              Anyone know how to do this for WL 8.1?
              Thanks!

    Hello,
    The OracleAS 10g Web Services Ant tasks are documented in the OracleAS Web Services Developer Guide, these tasks allow you to do the various WS developement operation such as create a service using bottom-up approach, create clients, ...
    Also OracleAS 10g 1.0.1.3 provides Ant tasks for deployment of application to the container, this is documente in the OracleAS Deployment Guide

    Hi Sriram,
    Before running the ant task did you run the following startup script?
    /setWLSEnv.sh
    I found one of the customer in oracle knowledge base facing the similar issue like you and issue was solved after running the setWLSEnv startup script.
    If the issue is still not resolved after trying the above suggestion, please attach the build.xml to this thread to review the same.

  • Is there an ant task on FlexUnit to open browser with swf embedded?

    Here is the same (unanswered) question asked by someone else: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/740495?tstart=0#740495
    Basically I need to open my flex app in a browser window from ant, and the FlexUnit task apparently does not support this.
    I have downloaded a sample from FlexMonkey. When they (sample writers) execute flexunit in this sample, one of the arguments to FU is "url". However, I can find no evidence of this version of FU (that uses that "url" argument) existing anywhere. Using the swf argument doesn't work as documented in the previous question above. So I don't know if my problem is Flex version, or it's just not supported by FlexUnit.
    I'm using the Flex sdk 3.2.0 and the FU libraries below:
    flexunit-4.1.0-33-as3_3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-4.1.0-33-flex_3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-cilistener-4.1.0-33-3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-uilistener-4.1.0-33-3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexUnitTasks-4.1.0-33.jar
    Please tell me if this issue has been solved and if so what libraries I need to implement it. If it is done for Flex 4.x, but not for Flex 3.2, perhaps you could guide me to the java source for the ant task for Flex 4.x so that I can implement this for Flex 3.2 or Flex 3.x.
    thanks,

    @Linden - Have not heard of this side effect from anyone as of yet, but good to know.  Sounds like the file lock is coming from the Flash Player and causing the spawning process (rundll32.exe) to hang around as well.  The FlexUnit team runs on Hudson using the FlexUnit Ant task, but we don't seem to encounter the same issue.  What's the longest interval you've tried to use with the sleep task?  Does the FP ever release its handle to the test SWF on your development machines?
    Not sure this is a problem with the FlexUnit Ant task, but in 4.2 we could try to explicitly kill the rundll32 process since we'll have the PID when the task launches it.  Head on over to JIRA and file a feature request for us and I'll see what I can do in the new year.  In the short term though, maybe try upgrading your version of the stand alone debug flash player to see if that helps.  Has anyone else seen this issue?  Could you possible just move the clean target to be called before the xci-test target is run?  Just some suggestions.

  • Change manifest file in existing EAR file with ANT task

    Hi,
    I use ant task (ojdeploy) to create EAR files from ADF application.
    Now I want to add the application version number to MANIFEST.MF.
    Is it possible to do the manifest file modification IN THE EXISTING EAR FILE (or while creating the EAR file with ojdeploy) with ant task or do I have to do the modification in the source MANIFEST.MF and after this create EAR file with ojdeploy?
    BTW: I tried the <ear> task to create the EAR file instead of using ojdeploy but I was not able to find the needed deployment descriptor (appxml="application.xml") in my ADF appication.
    regards
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    I don't know of a way to do it directly in ANT/ojdeploy. However, you could try exploding the EAR, updating the manifest, and recreating the EAR - cumbersome and slow, but it should work.

  • How to generate not nillable complexType with ant task autotype

    Hi all,
    The file types.xml created by ant task autotype contains, among others, all element definitions of my java classes.
    For testing purposes I have a simple class that holds (wraps) only a string. In the types.xml it is shown as followed:
    <xsd:complexType name="StringHolder">
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="mystring"
    type="xsd:string"
    nillable="true"
    minOccurs="1"
    maxOccurs="1">
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    Somehow nullabel is always true, but I want to be false. Does anyone knows how?

    Hello digitxm,
    Since the hardware you have is the limiting factor, with the NI 6008 you can perform a software timed pwm output if timing in your application is not critical (your cycle time is in the seconds range and you do not mind some milliseconds of delay) you can use a digital output with software timing control for your PWM generation. Also, see how to use AO channel(s) to control the voltage level of a square wave output (period of the square wave can be varied). Otherwise, this can be accomplished by using the following example on generating a digital waveform using non-regeneration in order to update frequency and duty cycle on-the-fly using National Instruments M Series or X series DAQ devices.

  • JWSC Ant task with JAXWS web services failed

    Hi,
    I do not manage to generate my JAXWS web services using jwsc ant task. It worked when my web services were JAX-RPC web services but now I have an error.
    In my build process, I generate first the web service artifacts from wsdl files using wsdlc :
