    Was meinst du mit 16 Bit Unterstüztung?

    http://support.lenovo.com/de_DE/feedback/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-76613

    and it sounds like it also fails to restore when you connect to a different computer and another instance of iTunes......and that you have tested all of the cables and USB connections and anti virus software and that you have admin privileges on your computer......had you had any connectivity or other issues prior to trying the restoration?  Also, did you put it in DFU recovery mode or just click on restore from iTunes?

    use Mail > Window > Connection Doctor
    This will tell you exactly which part of Mail cannot connect. Sometimes it is the Mail Receiver, typically POP or IMAP. Its password is easy to see and fix.
    Sometimes it is the Mail Sender, or OutGoing mail Server, typically SMTP. The Outgoing Mail Server is difficult to access. Use:
    Mail > Preferences > Accounts >  Account Information > (select an Account)
    From "Outgoing Mail Server SMTP:" choose "Edit SMTP Server List"
    This will show you all your Mail Senders, and if any passwords are missing you can enter the correct password again

  • Grundstzliche Fragen zu der Kombination JDBC, Applets und Datenbanken

    Hallo zusammen
    Nach dem ich mir jetzt die ganze Nacht um die Ohren geschlagen habe und hunderte Foreneintrge gelesen habe mchte ich mal gerne die Meinung von euch hier im Forum hren wie Ihr zu der Kombination steht. Also meine Erkenntinsse von der letzten Nacht reichen von:
    JA man kann Problemlos ber JDBC auf eine Datenbank zugreifen;
    Man kann eingeschrnkt auf eine Datenbank zugreifen, wenn man sein Applet Signiert;
    Es geht nur mit dem JDBC Treiber der Klasse 4;
    Es geht auch mit dem JDBC Treiber der Klassen 1,2,3;
    Man kann auf jeden immer auf die Datenbank zugreifen wenn die Datenbank und der Server sich den selben Rechner teilen;
    Man kann generell nur ber Signatur auf die Dantenbank zugreifen, egal ob auf dem selben Server oder nicht;
    Es liegt an der HTML Datei ob der Zugriff gestattet ist oder nicht (Applet-Tag oder Object-Tag);
    Man muss das ganze Projekt packen, damit es klappt.;
    Es geht ohne dass das Projekt gepackt wird.;
    Also ihr seht schon. Es scheint nicht ganz eindeutig zu sein, was alles bentigt wird und wie ein Funktionierendes Projekt auszusehen hat. Das macht mir die Sache jetzt natrlich nicht leichter, da ich nun ein Projekt habe, dass auf der Konsole einwandfrei luft, aber als Applet nicht mehr zu laden ist. Und ich hab so langsam wirklich jeden Beitrag, der irgendwann in irgendeinem Forum geschrieben wurde, den ich nach 10 Stunden gefunden habe ausprobiert. Nun hoffe ich, dass ich mit diesem Forumseintrag, in diesem Forum auf der Seite von quasi dem Entwickler von Java, endlich mal welche finde, denen es so geht wie mir und endlich mal eine Lsung bekommen, die Allgemein gltig ist und mit der neuesten momentan gltigen Software Funktioniert. Aus diesem Grunde habe ich auch die berschrift recht Allgemein gehalten, damit man vielleicht auch eine allgemeine Lsung findet. ;-)

    Hallo zusammen.
    Ich habe mein Problem jetzt anderweitig gelst, nachdem ich leider keine Antworten bekommen habe. Ich habe jetzt mit meinem Applset ein Servlet angesprochen, was meine Daten nun verwaltet. es funktioniert ganz gut ist aber leider auch sehr umstndlich da man stndig die Verbindung: Applet, Servlet, Datenbank, Servlet, Applet hat bei jeder anfrage. aber nun ja. Ich will ja keinen geschwindigkeitsrekord aufstellen :-)
    Mal schauen ob ich mal mit nem anderen Problem dann noch mal auf euch zu komme.

  • Mail and secondary mail server.

    Hello.
    As I am working on my mail server I would like to ensure that I have some form of back system to prevent me from looosing e-mail messages in the future, specially those that are business related. Once in a while we experience a power outage and I would hate to loose an important business e-mail sent to us at a time when the mail server is down.
    Questions:
    1. Is there a way to have/use a remote secondary mail server so that in case an e-mail is sent but can't be delivery to our mail server, it is then re-routed to this secondary mail server so that it isn't lost. In this case how should this be set-up both on the server in OS X 1.6.8 and on the outside?
    2. I plan to set up an account with Google or another e-mai service provider but would like my e-mail to use my own domain name instead. How simple would this be to set UP? Will Google allow the creation of e-mail accounts with the use of domain names other than its own?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi, capaho.
    I just called GoDaddy (my registrar) and this time didn't get much help. My experience with GoDaddy has been nothing but extremely positive. Their customer service is one of the best I have experienced but today in particular I wasn't so lucky as the gentleman in technical support to helped me on the phone sounded very inexperienced and seemed to know less about this than I do (and that takes effort).
    Both solutions you mentioned sound good to me and I do agree that having the e-mail forwarded to another acount would likely be the simplest solution. But how would I set this up ? How can I setup my account settings at GoDaddy so that when e-mail comes in it is directed to my server as the MX Record points to it, but a copy is also forwarded to a GMail or other similar e-mail account ?
    It is important to me for this process to take place BEFORE not AFTER it hits my server. I have grown concerned about loosing business opportunities and facing financial losses from e-mails that are not delivered to me properly. My server can fail for a multitude of reason and I wish to prevent this.
    > If your mail server has a fatal error that would kill mail on the first pass,it would be
    > affecting all mail, not just some messages, so it's unlikely you have such a problem.
    I have had this happen before and this is one of the reasons I am trying to establish some form of redundancy so it doesn't happen again in the future.
    > You could set the mail server to forward all undeliverable mail to the admin mail account
    > in Server Admin.  That would make sure you didn't miss any messages, but you would
    > likely start getting a lot of spam that would otherwise bounce.
    How can I do this ? Can this be setup so that all undeliverable mail is forwarded to the admin account UNLESS it is undeliverable because the system has found it to be spam ? In other words, if the e-mail is undeliverable because the user account has been deleted or the address can't be found on the server the message would then be forwarded to the admin account. On the other hand, if the system has judged the e-mail to be spam it would then just be treated as such.
    Any help you can offer with this issues will be very appreciated.
    Thanks.

    ja, ganz genau so. (explorer)

    Hi oliverfromadelsdorf,
    To remove the picture in an email message in Apple's Mail application, go to your contact in Contacts and remove the picture. See this article -
    Mail (Mavericks): Change pictures representing you or recipients
    Note that the picture here does not go out with the email, it is for your use only.
    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Best e-mail server to use with iPhone and Mac?

    I've always used hotmail as my e-mail server.  Recently, I've started using the Mail app on my MacBook Pro instead.  I really hate that the mail on my iPhone and the mail on my Mac do not sync with one another.  Any suggestions??

    should I forward any emails I would like to keep to my gmail account or is there a faster way of doing this?

  • Mail server setup issues

    Hi.
    I am in trouble setting up a basic mail server. I just spent the last 10 or so hours, in one more try to set it, and yet no results.
    Please, give some help as i am becoming sort of desperated with it
    This time, i followed this guide since the beginning.
    What I've done:
    - Created a user vmail, with home directory set on /var/mail/vmail/
    - Had a LAMP server already working.
    - Created two databases: postfix_db and roundcube_db, owned by postfix_user and roundcube_user respectively.
    - Since it is for personal use and i don't use "old/odd clients like Outlook"  i skipped smtps. And made the following files:
    My postfix main.cf(every commented line removed):
    queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix

    - From what i can see, postfixadmin used and populated its database, but not roundcube.
    - I can open postfixadmin and log in with no apparent errors (not that i know what to do with it instead of roundcube, but at least works...)

    Thats all i know. Whats wrong? (i already tried to set db logins with no pw at all, but still with the same problems)
    How far am i to be able to send/receive one email? Please, tell me i am close...
    Mail servers could be so much more linear to set up
    Thanks for your help. Time to get some sleep!

    The roundcube db schema needs to setup manually. See /usr/share/webapps/roundcube/INSTALL
    Also, from your /etc/webapps/postfixadmin/config.inc.php:
    $CONF['domain_path'] = 'NO';
    $CONF['domain_in_mailbox'] = 'YES';
    $CONF['maildir_name_hook'] = 'NO';
    ..which results in /var/mail/vmail/[email protected]
    From your dovecot.conf
    mail_home = /var/mail/vmail/%d/%u
    ...which results in /var/mail/vmail/domain.com/user
    That doesn't fit together.

  • Mail server no longer accepting incoming mail

    First off, let me just say that yes, I broke it. This is on an iMac G4 with Server 10.4.11.
    So here's the problem. I am by no means a qualified Server Administrator, but since I am a relatively knowledgeable computer geek, my boss plugged me into this position while my department is slow. I've been tasked with figuring out a few nagging problems with slow mail delivery, among other things.
    I did some serious Googling on the issue of slow mail delivery, messages getting stuck in queue, etc. I determined that the issue was with spam filtering and anti-virus. Following some great documentation from osx.topicdesk.com, I updated and configured clamav, amavisd, and spamassassin. Miraculously, this actually solved the problem, and everything was working great.
    Until today. Today I noticed a log entry that reverse DNS lookup of the server's IP (192.168.1.1) had failed. Googled again and found some info on setting up DNS on the server, which I did.
    There was a secondary goal for doing this. We are a small company that hosts our own email and a tiny web server on a machine at our corporate office. Our remote locations have always been able to get email from the server via POP3 using the FQDN mailman.mycompany.com, which has a public IP address. Our router is configured to forward traffic to that IP to the private IP 192.168.1.1. However, all users at the corporate office had to be set up to use server IP 192.168.1.1 to get their mail because there was no way to resolve the FQDN into an IP that was visible on the private network. Or maybe there was/is, but I don't know about it. Anyway, we have a couple mobile users that work at multiple locations. They are set up to use the server's FQDN, but every time they come to our corporate office, they'd have to change their mail setup if they wanted to get mail, because once they're behind the router, the FQDN doesn't work. I think that makes sense.
    The Server is also the DHCP server for this site. Prior to this morning, it was distributing our ISP's DNS IPs. Once I'd set up DNS on our Server, I changed it to distribute its own IP as the primary DNS server, and per someone's post, I modified named.conf to include our ISP's DNS IPs. The server name I set up is 'server' and the domain is 'mycompany.com'. I also set up an alias of 'mailman' and set it as a mail server. I then went to a couple of workstations in the building and did a Lookup on server.mycompany.com and mailman.mycompany.com, both of which returned an IP of 192.168.1.1. I did a lookup on the IP and it resolved back into server.mycompany.com.
    Figuring I'd accomplished enough for the first half of the day, I went to lunch. When I got back, I was bombarded with complaints that mails were being bounced when sent from inside the building, and a few people had received phone calls that mails sent to them had been bounced back to their senders. The error given is:
    554 554 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied (state 14).
    (This came from Google. The wording varies from person to person but it's always SMTP 554, relay access denied.)
    In a panic, I un-did everything I'd done this morning, turning off DNS server, telling DHCP server to begin distributing our ISP's DNS IPs again, but I'm still having the same problem. I didn't see how this could be the cause, but did it just as a precaution.
    I doubt I've provided enough information, but does anyone have any initial guesses as to what's going on here?
    ARM

    Thanks for the quick, easy fix. I'm curious if you know what I might have done to cause this to happen. I don't recall changing any Mail settings.
    Sometimes Server Admin "forgets" settings.
    Also, apparently something I did wiped out our IMAP mail store. I had a backup thankfully but wondering how I might have done that?!
    Wiped out at the file level as in no contents in /var/spool/imap/user?
