Design Studio - disable tooltips on mouse over

Hello everybody,
i have a pie chart an want to disable the tooltips on mouse over action. Is this possible?
Here is a screen shot:
Seems that uncheck the "DisplayTooltips" Property is not the right one.

Hi Robert,
It is possible to disable the tooltips with some custom css code placed inside your custom css file:
To disable tooltips for all charts (note/caution: this could/would remove tooltips from other components too if they have tooltips and use the same id for some reason):
#v-m-tooltip {display: none;}
To disable tooltips only for some charts you can create a custom css class and assign it to your charts where you don't want those tooltips for the on mouse over event. In the following example the name of the custom css class is "ourChartClass1":
.ourChartClass1 #v-m-tooltip {display: none;}

Design Studio 1.3 applications shows only white screen on Mobile BI App (iPad)

Hello Design Studio friends,
after upgrading or BI platform (4.1) Design Studio Add-On from version 1.2 to 1.3 we could no errors, everything works fine. But now we have the issue, that all of our Design Studio Applications do not work on iPad.
All mobile Applications are listed correctly in the overview in the Mobile BI App. But after starting one application the loading screen is running and after loading only a white screen is displayed. No data, no components, no variables screen etc.
Do you have any idea about the reason of our problem?
Here some additonal information, what we have done:
After upgrade we restartet the BIP and checked that all services are running.
We saved new Design Studio 1.3 Applications on BIP.
We run the Design Studio Applications local (everything works) over BIP on Desktop clients (everything workds), via Mobile BI App (iPad iOS7, newest iOS Version and newest App version) (only white screens are shown).
We deleted all metadata on iPad and reconnected to our BIP.
Our DataSources, integrated in the Design Studio 1.3 applications, are based on SAP BW Queries of a BW 7.4 system.

I deleted the mobile BI App from my iPad and installed it again (newest version).
No changes, after loading the Design Studio Application only a white screen is shown.
I cannot find a relevant Part in the App protocol (Debug Mode).

How to hide list mouse over effect?

I am using list item render and I have my own items effect on mouse over, how can I disable the list mouse over effect without setting the mouseChildren to false.

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 OS, and I want to know how to disable the small window that appears when I hover my mouse over a tab, bookmark, etc.

Okay, so when I'm using Firefox, say I have multiple window open, I hover my mouse over a window's panel at the bottom of the screen and a small box appears telling me about the webpage on that panel. The same thing occurs when I hover over a tab or a bookmark, it's very annoying and frequently blocks my cursor when I'm trying to work. How can I disable this feature?

I do not use Adobe Reader, but use Foxit Reader in its place, and had the same problem. In Foxit Reader, I right-clicked in the area at the top where you would expect the toolbar to be (it was a blank area immediately above the displayed PDF file), and chose which toolbars to display and that has "stuck" and I still see the Foxit toolbars when I load a PDF file after system shutdown overnight. The only problem is that the area where you would expect the toolbars is still there and blank, but the toolbars that I selected appear immediately below that blank area. See if that works in Adobe Reader for you.

How do I disable the webpage preview that pops up when I hover my mouse over a tab?

I don't know why this started today, but it is driving me nuts!
I was surfing the net, when all of a sudden I noticed that whenever I hovered my mouse over one of my tabs, a (poorly rendered) preview of the webpage popped up from my mouse. I really do not need this feature. I don't need to have a mini-webpage preview of another tab.
Please, how do I disable this feature?
*note: I have disabled all my add-ons, and still nothing. I disabled my hardware acceleration, and still nothing. Please!

LR2.0 - disable lightroom mouse over panel expansion

Is there a way I can disable the auto-expansion of side panels when I have the panel hidden but I mouse over the edge of the screen? I only have so much screen real estate so I hide all the panels when reviewing images. I don't want the panels to re-appear until I click on them. The mouse-over behavior is just annoying and I want to disable it. To me this is the most frustrating / irritating part of the LR interface.

Switch the panels to Manual mode (right click each). Then just use F5-F8 to hide or display them.

SAP Design Studio 1.3 Chart Tooltip Format Broken?

Design Studio 1.3 now offers the ability to format the X axis, Y axis, DataLabel, and Tooltip for a chart.
All of the items listed above honor formatting in the chart, except the Tooltip.
The screenshot below will show you a DataLabel formatted as percent using this formula: "0.00%"
Now I'm going to apply the exact same format formula ("0.00%") to the Tooltip, and it will not work correctly.
As you can see, it will not honor the formatting in the Tooltip. I have tried to using the built in formatting like: "#,##0", "#,##0.00", and "$#,##0".
The built-in formulas do not work for the Tooltip either.
Does anybody have any ideas how to get the Tooltip to format?

Tooltips when placing mouse over event

First thing - I LOVE iMac, it's an incredible design of what real computer should be. I wish somebody told me that 10 years ago or more.
I just switched from PC. On PC I used an excellent piece of calendar software, "UK Kalender". It's better than anything else.
iCal is excellent too, I like it. But it seems to me, it's not polished.
For example, font is too small. I'm not suggesting to have an option of all the fonts there are, and adjusting them, it will slow down the calendar. But at least to have 2 sizes: a small font(the current one) and a larger(like on Safari).
Another thing. it's a question: is it possible to have toolltips when placing a mouse over an event ?
In other words, when placing a mouse over an event, a tool tip shows up with all the info about this day's events.
This would be extremely helpful, saving from double clicking and opening another window.

If both objects are in a VBox, with the second object (no
listener) overlapping the first object (has listener), when you
hover over second object, if you have a listener on the container
you should be able to see if the target for the event is the second
object and then take action.
This is because events first "cascade" down from the top of
the display list, through all containers until they reach the
target (targetting phase), and then they bubble back up to the top
of the display list (bubling phase).

Change/disable mouse-over selection on app switcher menu (apple-tab menu)

Does anyone know of a way to disable the mouse-over selecting an application on the apple-tab menu (app switcher)? This is so frustrating when you are trying to do a lot of copy and paste between apps and the mouse keeps "re-selecting" the application you are trying to choose.

Xcelsius/Dashboard Design - mouse over capability doesn't work/losing hover

Hello there, I am currently in a tough situation. If any Xcelsius gurus can provide me with a solution, I would very much appreciate your help.
I currently have a dashboard with pie chart component in the default view. It has a radio button with two values. The mouse over doesn't work when the dashboard is loaded. However, when I make a selection in the radio button, the mouse over works for both the options. I have noticed this is a bug but if anyone has a solution or way around it, let me know.
Another issue - I have a 'All' view and 'Region' views in the menu bar. When a user clicks on a particular Region, then clicks all and goes back to a region, I lose the drill down capability on the pie chart thats on the Region view. initially, the mouse over and drill down works fine. However, after going to the All view and coming back to a region, this capability is lost. It acts the same way as the problem above. User can't hover nor drill down. If anyone has a solution to this, let me know.

I have designed a form with a couple of fields. When I draw the mouse over a field in the form in PDF Preview, a small text is shown (tooltip?). How can I disable this? The problem is that it is showing the name of the field variable and not a helpful description.

This is possible too. For URLField and URLButton do as follows:-
1. Goto the Accesibility Palette --> Select the Screen Reader Preference to Custom Text
2. Enter the Custom Screen Reader Text in the textbox as you like.
3. Save and preview your changes.
Also instead of Image use Image Field from Standard Library, keep the caption as blank and repeat steps mentioned above.

Hover mouse over a group photo & individual image pops up?

My project is to do a mouse hover over individual faces on a group photo and display an image of what that person looked like back in high school.
So far I am able to display the persons name as I hover over their face but don't know how to also display their individual image.
I set up an image map with circular hotspots for each face.

11g: how to disable tooltip for gauge?

Hi,
dvt:graph and dvt:gauge (type=LED) displays a tooltip by default when you move mouse over series or led.
With dvt:graph you can set property markertooltiptype to "MTT_NONE" to avoid this default tooltip.
For dvt:gauge I can't find such a possibility.
How to disable the default tooltip for dvt:gauge too?

For a gauge, the best way to disable tooltips is to use the renderImagemap attribute with imageFormat="PNG". For example:
<dvt:gauge gaugeType="LED" imageFormat="PNG" renderImagemap="false"/>
If instead you decide to customize the gauge tooltips, you can use the shapeAttributes alt attribute (without the renderImagemap="false"):

While using firefox, when mouse over link causing monitor to crash

Windows 7; Dell studio xps
On mouse over a link/photo link and/or click on a link and my monitor goes into standby mode. Monitor still on (as is my computer) but cannot reestablish visual on monitor. Have used Explorer in the past and never had this problem. This error happens almost every time when I perform an image search with Google then mouse over a resulting image.

Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
