Despite numerous reboots Firefox would not open for 3 days because apparently it was occupied, how can I see what it is occupied with and how to close it ?
I opened my online banking site but could not sign in or sign out hence I closed the website and closed Firefox. For 3 days I could not open Firefox nor Explorer. During the 3 days I rebooted several times. On the forth day when I opened Firefox a screen opened saying Firefox was embarrassed etc. etc.. and that I could restore my online banking site which I did. I was able to sign in and sign out of the account and close the website. My question is when Firefox locks up like this, how can I see if a site is open in Firefox if I can't open Firefox?

The 'Embarrassed' screen comes up when Firefox has not closed down correctly and is trying to restore the situation. This will not always succeed, and you may have to do a normal restart.

You should always try to close Firefox by using
* '''Firefox Button -> Exit''' (Windows 7)
* File -> Quit (on XP and other systems)
Where possible try to avoid closing by: killing the process, closing the window, or turning off the computer whilst Firefox is running.
If you are unable to sign in to a website sometimes it may be a Firefox problem, other times it may be an internet problem, or the site itself.

I do not know why you could not open firefox for 3 days, presumably a problem with your computer. Note even if there is no internet Firefox itself should still open when required.
If Windows Explorer is not running/working there was probably not much you could easily do with the computer. Or was your problem with Internet Explorer (The default Windows Browser) again possibly a symptom of a bigger problem.

You can see what's in iCloud collectively at settings > iCloud > storage & back up > manage.... You can only edit the data through the appropriate app (contacts, calendars etc)
For problems with 3rd party apps, contact the developer. -
Firefox would not open for me, so I uninstalled , know it will not let me download a version.
I tried to open firefox and each time a window pops up stating profile is missing. I uninstalled then tried to reinstall but still get profile missing and it will not down load. What do i do?
I have tried all of the suggestions, also removed every reference to Firefox in the registry, no joy, still comes up with the error, does load if run as administrator, this is not satisfactory though, its ok if I am starting Firefox but no good if it tries to start automatically such as clicking a link in an email.
Therefore until this problem is sorted my default will stay as Chrome!!!!!!! -
The registry was cleaned of every reference to Mozilla. Again the reinstall was tried with no success
There is probably a problem with the profile folder, which is where user data is stored.
Try creating a new profile folder as shown here - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows

I was trying to upload a video clip to iMovie and I got a popup saying that there was an upload error. I switched profiles, came back, and when I opened iMovie it said that it was uploading my clip, but it hasn't shown any progress and won't close iMovie.

If you followed the solution that I gave you, then you would not need to ask the question, you would know that you could see the price you paid for each app.

I just upgraded to 4.0 and Firefox would not open
I then uninstalled and reinstalled--same result; now have downloaded 3.6.17 again and I'm up and running again.
Symptoms were: tried to launch program and it went into never-never land. Left for coffee and when I came back it was still not open (approx 10 min). Checked CPU usage which was pegged at 100% for Firefox.exe Nothing else was running. No window, no Firefox minimized bug on the bottom of the page, a big nada.
Too bad, Mozilla. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
I don't need an answer. Just wanted to make a note. Hopefully something will be posted when the problem is fixed; otherwise I just won't upgrade.Ok so maybe I am a little slower than most- but the solution is actually on the page referenced in the first reply- the key is, when the customize window is open, that is when you can click and drag the home button to the left side of the screen! You can't move it without the customize window being open, nor is the home button in the customize window.

On a computer that is shared with multiple users(3),two of the users cannot open Firefox,only one user can. It shows the blue circle (Windows 7) but it disappears and does not open. Fellow user Grant Bennet-Alder offers this solution:
Some users have reported this problem if the Mail Application has been moved out of the top-level /Applications folder, or duplicated in another location.
When the Security Update is done, the old version of Mail is disabled.
The solution has been to:
1) make certain Mail is in the /Applications folder
2) There is no other copy anywhere else.
3) Once steps 1 and 2 have been done, Manually download and re-apply the Security Update (2012-004) by hand.

If the Mail.app has been LOST, it can be re-installed by applying the 10.6.8 version 1.1 combo update. But this update is quite large and it is usually not necessary:
