Destroy method not available in NWDS 2.0.1 for iframe .......

Hi,
I have problem with version..
Destroy method will work in nwds 7.0.1 but this code does not work with NWDS 2.0.6
Please give me alternate of this method at lowe NWDS Version.
    if(!firstTime)
          IWDIFrame frame = (IWDIFrame)view.getElement("IFrame1`");
          frame.destroy();

IWDViewElement is the interface which provides the destroy method it seems that is not available in NW 04.

i have developed a program using java 1.2 API. it is running perfectly in my PC. But when i run the same by using the JRE, it gives the error that lisFiles() method not available in File Class. On debugging, i found that that feature was added only in 1.2 API. So, i feel from this that JRE that is given along with 1.2 api is older one. How to resolve this issue. where can i get the 1.2 version of JRE.

well the method name should read listFiles (not lisFiles), anyway, the listFiles method as you have mentioned was only introduced in jdk1.2 and later, so you would require to have a jdk later to that, you could download the latest jdk ver 1.3.1 from java.sun.com, click on the products and api and then select the jdk from there.

Some DCs are not available locally - NWDS error while importing Track confg

Hi,
We have configured NWDI in our landscape.
As per the requirement of the developers, we have created a new product and software component (SC) in SLD, as they don't want to use any standard components.
The same has been synced with CMS using update CMS.
Now a new track is created (in landscape configurator) and the new SC has been added to the track. Track creation was successfull....given the sdm passwords for all 3 systems.
While saving a pop-up came saying that as the SC is New (i did not select the developed option), I need to Check-in and Import into DEV manually.....I GOT STUCK HERE.
What files needs to be checked-in in Transport studio?
Also when developers are trying to import the configuration in their respoective NWDS...they are getting "Some DCs are not available locally" error.
Also updated the patch of their NWDS but still no use.
Could any one help me out.

As per your advise. I have maintianed the 3 dependencies for the SC.
However, the error "Some DCs are not available locally" is still recurring in NWDS.

GetURL() and getSystemID() method not available

We are upgrading the jdk version from 1.4 to 1.5 and also the JCO version from JCO2.0 to sapjco3-NTAMD64-3.0.7
In our application, the below code snippet was used to set the client in making the RFC connection

As the project is in critical stage, it would be great if some expert can provide us the solution at the earliest

Tried with this but still the same issue..
Stop the application services, recompile the JSP files manually, and start the application services. Check the login page then.
Note: 435550.1 - R12 Login issue on target after cloning , fresh install or upgrade

I wrote an Java application which connects to a Oracle
Database using Weblogic JDriver. I used jdbc20 Driver
available under Weblogic. When I try to execute any of
the JDBC2.0 Spec methods like updateRow() I get an exception
saying "the JDBC2.0 method is not implemented". What could
be the problem?

Hi Ramkumar,
Not all JDBC 2.0 methods are implemented in this driver, you can check out
the list of available methods in the WLS docs online. I suggest using the
thin driver.

Choose replica creation method not available

Hello,
when I create a protection group for client (desktop, laptop), the 'Choose replica method' does'nt appear in the wizard.
Is there a way to choose a replica method with Clients ?

Hi,
No - Client protection has a different workflow and is not conducive to manual replica load. Clients initiate the initial synchronization and if you tried to do it manually, would have likelihood of file copy collisions.

EAR 1.5 not available in NWDS 7.2?

Hi guys,
I installed the IDE for composition environment 7.2 with all possible versions of the JAVA SDK's. When I try to create an EAR project, though, I only get options for version 5.0 and 1.4
For a webservice however, I need 1.5
Any of you ever encountered this problem, or at least know how to fix this?

I guess what you call 1.5 is "officially" called 5.0 .

Yes. All the other links work fine. My real question is: how do you point out that kind of mistake? They make all sorts. Mixing up the contents of CDs, sometimes to our advantage, sometimes not. I wish there were a simple way to point out those. Like you can on Amazon, for example.

Netflix is not available please try again later (789) for 2 days?

I updated my atv and now Netflix is unavailable I saw other faults in other questions but no one else having the same error

Just spoke with Netflix. My problem is caused by the very limited account I have with them. We rent one DVD at a time (max of 2 per month), and have limited amount of online streaming. The key issue is that our account does not allow us to watch online using a device such as ATV3. We are limited to using a regular computer. As they explained to me, error 789 indicates that the device being used to watch online streaming content is not compatible with the service that we subscribed to. I'll set up a separate account for streaming only, and report back if it solved the problem.

Procedure to include 2 infoobjects which r not available in R/3

We have a standard cube 0FIGL_C10 in FI.We are creating the report for all GL accounts based on the company codes.Now the problem is we have to include 2 more fields in the cube (Schedules and Page) which are not available in R/3.The data for these fields to be loaded using a flatfile.After loading this data,the report should show all the schedulers and page respective to GL account.Please explain me how to achieve the above requirement.

Hello Dinakar,
this depends on your requirements, especially on how to enrich the R/3 data with the 2 new fields.
The easiest case is if these two fields are attributes of a field delivered from R/3, e.g. the GL account.
If this is the case, simply create them as navigational attributes to the GL account, switch on the navigational attributes in the cube and upload the data.
If you cannot use the navigational attributes because you want to keep track on changes, put the two new IOs into the cube and fill them as attributes from GL account.
A different case is that you get a distribution rule like GL acc xy is 70% schedule A page x and 30% schedule B page y.
In that case I would upload the distribution rules into a DSO and use the end routine of the transformation to split the data accordingly.
Does it help you or do you have other requirements?
