Detail in Advanced Table in Advanced Table
Hi
I have made a master-detail read-only screen, with Advanced Table within Advanced Table via '+Show' link on
the outer table.
So far so good, and everything is rendering correctly (I don't have any code except to query the
VO in the outer table).
Next I need to hide/show some of the items in the inner table, so I choose New-> Detail on the inner table
in order to place those items. The page renders OK with a '+Show' link on the inner table, but when I click
on that '+Show' link I get the exception stack below.
I have searched for something on this case, but I can't find anything to explain it, can anybody help please?

Having spent some more time decrypting the Dev Guide, I have uncovered the following, which states that the BLAF guidelines disapprove of HideShow inside advanced-tables-in-advanced-tables
Declarative ImplementationNote: The BLAF Hide/Show guidelines for Tables [OTN version] do not allow embedding secondary or children objects in the details of a table row. In other words, do not create a hideShow or hideShowHeader region under the detail region of a table. See HGrids for information about how to display hierarchical information in a table. Similarly, do not create a hideShow region under an inner table of an Advanced Table-in-Advanced Table or implement detail disclosure inside the inner table of a Advanced Table-in-Advanced Table
Does this mean it isn't possible?

I hve already created a transient attribute in Master VO attached to the outter advance table and had set this attribute in detail attribute property of outter
advance table. But im facing the same error.

Advanced Table in Advanced Table
Hi Gurus,
I have advanced table in advanced table , master detail where dept is the master and emp is detail both master and detail had add another row button . In the outer region when i press add another row i can see that new blank record added most of the time as expeced , but in the inner advanced table region it works most of the time but after some 5 6 attemps of adding another row in the inner region it stops showing me blank rows , but i know its added in the VO as if i refresh the page it shows or if minimize the otuer region and expand it i can see the new rows added in the inner region .
i have called OAPartialPageRenderUtils.addPartialTargets in PFR , but still sometime i dont see the new record added in the inner region .
Please help me in figuring out where i am going wrong .

First I have created 2 VOs. One for UserMaster which have the primary key like "userId". Second VO having UserDetails. I have created one view link for these two tables. I have Designed UserMasterTable.It is working alone. Then I add detail for this outer table . This details is "header " by default. So I have added one more AdvanceTable in "headerRN" for "user details". I set properties as follows..
For My UserMasterTable

View Instance = MasterDetailsVO1
Detail View Attribute = ShowFlag
View Link Instance = UserResultLink
Child View Attribute = UserId
For My UserMasterTable

Hi All,
I have implemented advance table in advance table to show details region data by creating View Link between master and child View Object.
I have followed all the steps mention in following link

Now when I am using child VO in details table region it is giving me null pointer exception.

Advanced-Table in Advanced-Table Query RN
I'm having difficulty creating a query region in the inner table within an Advanced-Table in Advanced-Table relationship. The inner tables searchable items appear in the outer tables simple search region and an error is raised when I open the detail table. The error states that the the item is not defined in the outer table VO. The error is correct, the column does not exist in the outer table's VO. It only exists in the inner table's VO and I've indicated what VO instance the column exists in when defining the item in the inner table. So my question is why does OAF check for an item in the outer table's VO when I've told it that the item exists in the VO defined on the inner table's item attributes?

This is all I've been able to locate on this topic in the R12 Developer's Guide.
"The inner table bears a master-detail relation with the outer table. For each master row, corresponding detail rows are displayed in an inner table. Users can control the rows in the inner table by defining additional search criteria to the criteria already defined in the view link, which relates the outer view object with the inner view object."
The second sentence implies that query criteria can, in fact, be provided for an inner table set of data.

If it's custom functionality, you could access the other database using the DBConnect interface, for which there is a specific API and which allows ABAP code to access external databases. The only limitation is that the database must be one supported by SAP (ie SQL Server, MaxDB, DB2, Oracle).
For more info on DBConnect search for "dbconnect" in the Service Marketplace notes search. Although some of the notes reference BW, the functionality is available in any SAP NW AS ABAP system. The ABAP API is available either via Native SQL statements or the CL_SQL* classes in newer (6.10 and later) systems.

How do i work with NestedTable type and Advanced Queue.
I have done the following
I have Oracle 8.1.7 enterprise edition.

ThanksTable in a table is a performance eating structure :), because ur VL will cache both parent and child VO rows in JVM.The only way to improve the performance is to tune your sql queries.

Business Model DAC Measures:
[nQSError: 15003] Missing most detailed table for dimension tables: [D_DETAILS,D_EXECUTION_PLAN,D_TASK].
[nQSError: 15001] Could not load navigation space for subject area DAC Measures.
I am also attaching my Business Model layer for easy understanding. I have a fact table and several Dimension table. I got this error only after creating the following hierarchies:
Execution Plan -> Tasks -> Details
Start Date Time Hierarchy
End Date Time Hierarchy

I created a Table then in the table I created a detail in which I created another table I created a transient view attribute i.e. DetailFlag that I set to my outer table. When I run the page it does show me the Master records and showhide link but when I click on the show it throws an error saying:
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition of type Attribute not found
Even though all the items in Detail table are attached to VO attributes of DetailVO
As I have a different MasterVO query with some bind variables and the DetailsVO query is different with some bind variables. Now how do I capture when a user clicks on Show and at that time wants to get some values from a selected master row and pass them to my DetailVO Query so the detail data for that selected master row shows. How do I get handle to the selected Row Data so to get the some values that need to be passed to the DetailVO.
I tried following the guide but am not able to have it functioning.
Here is what I have in my controller's processRequest method

I am getting this following error
Business Model Core:
[nQSError: 15003] Missing most detailed table for dimension tables: [Dim - Customer,Dim - Account Hierarchy,Dim - Account Region Hierarchy,Fact - Fins - Period Days Count].

I got this error when I tried to configure # of Elapsed Days and # of Cumulative Elapsed Days by following way-
1. Using the Administration Tool, open OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd.

2. In the Business Model and Mapping layer, go the logical table Fact - Fins - Period
Days Count.
3. Under Sources, select the Fact_W_DAY_D_PSFT logical table source.
4. Clear the Disabled option in the General tab and click OK.
5. Open the other two logical table sources, Fact_W_DAY_D_ORA and Fact_W_
DAY_D_PSFT, and select the Disabled option.
6. Add the "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count" and "Dim - Company" logical tables to
the Business Model Diagram. To do so, right-click the objects and select Business
Model Diagram, Selected Tables Only.
7. In the Business Model Diagram, create a new logical join from "Dim - Company"
to "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count." The direction of the foreign key should be
from the "Dim - Company" logical table to the "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count"
table. For example, on a (0,1):N cardinality join, "Dim - Company" will be on the
(0/1) side and "Fact - Fins - Period Days Count" will be on the N side.
8. Under the Fact - Fins - Period Days Count logical table, open the "# of Elapsed
Days" and "# of Cumulative Elapsed Days" metrics, one at a time.
9. Go to the Levels tab. For the Company dimension, the Logical Level is set to All.
Click the X button to remove it. Repeat until the Company dimension does not
have a Logical Level setting.
10. Make sure to check Global Consistency to ensure there are no errors, and then
save the RPD file.

3. Open your Staff universe in Universe Designer and edit the Manager object. To ensure
that the data is restricted to only manager data, use the Tables button. Select the
EMPLOYEE table, to force the object to use the join between the table and restrict the
data.
4. Test the result, creating a new query with only the Manager object. It returns the correct
number of managers.
5. Edit the query and add Employee. Run and display the count. There are 26 rows. Why?
The join restricts the data to look only for employees that have managers. However, there
is a manager that does not have a manager, and is now excluded.
6. Open your Staff universe in Universe Designer and add an outer join on the MANAGER
table side.
7. Save the changes and test the results in Web Intelligence Rich Client.
