Detecting the JVM version using Javascript in IE

Where can I find the neccessary code to detect the existance and version of the JRE/JVM installed on a client machine. I'm looking for something like this:

I'm not a Java programmer, I don't know how to compile a class file. Can someone help? Thanks.

What you reference is a JavaServerPage served from a server. It doesn't use Javascript.
You don't give much information; take a look at these search hits and see if anything listed is what you're after. Some of the threads include Javascript code. (But I'm not very knowledgble of its details.) If not, post back with details, maybe someone then would be able to answer.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

The situation:
I want to use basetext font, but some of the glyphs are missing in it, and are highlighted with pink boxes. common font [stix, etc.] have much more glyphs than basetext font. I can apply common font [stix, etc.]manually for each of the missing glyphs or insert two character and use kerning set it up, but it is tedious.
Question:
How find the missing glyph using javascript [like indesign preflight], and replace same glyph available font or insert two character and use kerning set it up?
Any one know how to do this?

my requirment is to find a way to detect the current transaction used within the MIRO transaction ,which can be one among
invoice/ credit memo/ subsequent debit/subsequent credit .if the user is using the credit memo , then prevent him from posting based on the authority /role given to him. Im making use of the Exit:EXIT_SAPLMR1M_001 for this.
Please let me know which field of the exit parameters should be made use for detecting if the user is in credit memo transaction.

A newer version of this page has been detected, The new version will be loaded

Ok, So I uploaded the files with editable reigions and all worked great then the client made some minor changes.
Then the client wanted other changes that needed to be made to the file, So I download the latest file off the server, edited it then re uploaded it.
Then very page that I uploaded that I go to edit keeps getting this message "A newer version of this page has been detected, The new version will be loaded" - It then re-loads the page, but when I hit edit again, The same message appears . . . . '
To make it work. I have had to Duplicate the page, Rename it to index2.html then delete the original index.html and make the duplicate index.html and then it works fine . . . .
Any help would be appreciated

While implementing scripts under OMB Plus, I need to use/import some already existing TCL-libraries. This libraries need a TCL-version 8.2 or higher. But the TCL-version installed with the OracleWarehouseBuilder is 8.0.
How can I update the TCL-version used by OWB Scripting (OMB Plus)?

Because Sun chooses to use a weird format for their version numbers, and since Internet Explorer uses ActiveX objects instead of normal plug-ins, you'd have to write a script that could skim through the Windows registry to dig up what the latest version of the Java Plug-in is.
Scanning through the registry isn't a problem, so much as the non-conventional versioning system that Sun has in place. With Netscape, Opera, and other non-ActiveX browsers, it's a piece of cake.

So using Javascript i can find if java is enabled like so:
navigator.javaEnabled();
but i want to know what version as well.

How to detect the OS version and the hardware info??

Hi all, according to the project needs, I to know how to detect OS version and the hardware info.
The point is to detect client's OS version, weather Win98, 2000, XP, Vista.
I have been search the information for several days already.
But can not really found a example which returns the OS version like"Windows XP Version 2002 *****".
And also could not find the CPU type such as"Core 2 due, or pentium D".
Is there anyone have done this before?

Well, in fact I have the VI and also read the topics as well...... The searching tag is OS info , system info......... After reading your post, now I understand the relation between the version number and the real OS version now, tks. And another problem is, the processor type returned within the VI have only 4 type:"INTEL 386, INTEL 486, PENTIUM, Unknown".
It can not really return my CPU TYPE. For example the desktop I’m using now is a Pentium, D , 2.80G, 2.80G.. and it only returns type "Pentium". That's why I'm asking is there any other way to do this...... (( Please forgive me if you can not really know what I'm talking about in my first post, now I know how bad my english is....... )) I guess I can only try to find out the solution from the registry then... Problems with the JVM versions

Hi I am new here I was wondering if someone can help me out here I am having proplems with the versions of java. I have downloaded the lastest version and this is what i got when i verifyed my installation. Can someone help me? I have copied and pasted the verifyed installation. I am on Windows 98. hope that helps.

1. On 2010 and above you can use Autodiscover to get the EWS Schema version this is most accurate method to use. It's import to understand the EWS Schema version vs just the Server there is a good write up in

This won't work on 2007 but the other method you can use is if you set the version to 2007_SP1 and make a call like binding to the Inbox folder and then check the result in ServerInfo http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.exchange.webservices.data.exchangeservicebase.serverinfo(v=exchg.80).aspx
. (Note if your are going to use ServerInfo you do need to make a request like a FolderBind ).

Is your item getting added through Javascript client object model ? If yes, you can write in the success delegate of your list creation method the logic to create the subsite.

We found one datafile has corrupted by using dbv.dbv would have reported the block ids (block numbers) that are corrupted.
query dba_extents to identify the segments that contain such blocks.
