Determine if item is scrolled off page or not

I have a vbox with a bunch of items in it; so much that the
vertical scrollbar show up. I need to know if one of the child
items is in the viewable area of the vbox or if it is hidden below
out of the viewable area (the user would have to scroll to see it).
I cannot find a property that gives me this information. Do I have
to calculate this? How?

Why the sign-off page Not Displayed when I do SSO Logout ?

I am using Oracle SSO 10.1.4.1 and OID 10.1.4.1 and registering our ADF application to participate in the SSO.
When I call SSO Logout from the web application with this URL :
http://myserver:port/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout?p_done_url=http://myserver:port/portal/page/portal/myPORTAL
It just do the Logout "Silently" and then redirect to http://myserver:port/portal/page/portal/myPORTAL.
Doesn't it should firstly display a page that shows the list of all application that will be logged-Off ?
Why that sign-off page does not get displayed ?

Looking at the product version you mentioned, I assume you are referring to Oracle Access Manager. When you configure a Logout URL, it will just end the session by killing ObSSOCookie and take you to the Logout URL as specified by the Administrator. OOTB, it wont be able to display the list of the applications you will be logged off from. This needs custom development to achieve what you are expecting. First you need to find out what all applications the user is logged in or to what all applications the ObSSOCookie session is passed and then display them on the Logout URL.

Application Server Control Panel page will not load

I am new to Oracle Application Server and need some assistance to determine why the Application Server Control Page will not load after entering the username/password for ias_admin. I have just installed Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2) on Redhat Linux.
The Listener and the Repository Database are up. I have successfully started the processes for the OracleAS Infrastructure instance with:
$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startall
I have successfully started the OracleAS Console with:
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl start iasconsole
I ran "emctl status iasconsole" and received:

I can bring up the "Welcome to Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2)" web page successfully with "http//<host>:7777".
My problem arises after I click on the link for " log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control". I enter the username/pwd for ias_admin and then progress bar on the status bar of the browser goes so far and stops. The Application Server Page will not render.
Can someone point me into the direction of what to check, whether its an enviromental setting for linux or a configuration issue with the Application Server?
note: that the status bar for the browser shows "shortcut to localhost.local domain" when highlighting the link " log on to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control". This is different than <host> specified in the URL to render the welcome page. I would't think this to be an issue because the login screen came up and it also appears in the results of the emctl status iasconsole and opmnctl status commands.

Emilio, note implies emagent core dumps. If that is the case emctl would (hopefully) not return status "ok".

Can Command Shift 4 Scroll off the page?

I often want to capture a selection of an image that is off larger than what can be seen without scolling
but the page does not scroll when I bring the edge of the screen capture box to the bottom....

Lost in the flood... back button off page 1 still not fixed.

when browsing topics NOT on page one, the back button which SHOULD take you back to the forum list on the page where you last were (hence the name "back" button) STILL takes you back to page one, effectivly making it near impossible to read things scrolled off the front page and navigate to the next item.

OK... i see your problem... can't help you there Dave, 'cause i always open topics i'm interested in in a new tab.... i open several, read them one-by-one, answer if necessary – sometimes if it's been a while before i get to an already open topic, i reload the page to catch any new additions. As i go, i shut tabs and i'm back at the topic list, where i do a refresh by click on the breadcrumb.
It's probably also one of the reasons that the slowness is not crippling for me...as i'm going down the topic list opening topics in new tabs, the first few have already loaded. Where the slowness really hits is the original opening ad then hitting the Reply button and the Post... those take ages.
But Frames is the reason you can't go back to the previous page and always revert to Page one of the topics list. Short of redesigning the forum, i doubt that can be fixed.

I have created around 95 page items,8 different region , 10 buttons and i have used collections in page processing
While processing the page by using Select with LOV getting error http://3264-ch-dbs:8080/apex/wwv_flow.accept
I have created 15 extra page item due whih count increases from 80 to 95 .once I have created this I tried processing the page by select list with submit . I am getting above mentioned error
how many items are possible in page APEX 3.2 , is there limitation ?

You can render up to 100 APEX item on the page, and that includes hidden items. You can define more than 100 items and use conditions to determine which items will be rendered. (Buttons and other components you mentioned are not included in the 100 count).

TileList scroll by page

I have a spark List with a TileLayout of 2 rows and 3 columns. I want to programatically scroll it horizontally ever 6 items (like a page).
I've tried ensureIndexIsVisible(), but can't seem to get it to do every 6 items and in some cases at the end of the list there may not be a total of 6.
Jason's PagedList is pretty close, but it only appies to one item at a time.
I need a scrollRightSix() and a scrollLeftSix() function.
I will call these functions when the Kinect user selects Next or Previous hotspot, so the user isn't scrolling the list themselves directly.
Any ideas?

Oh well, since the spark List doesn't appear to provide for scrolling tiled data by page, I went with what I could change ... the data.
I split the ArrayCollection up by the number of pages, then used filterFunction to change the page as the user holds their hand on the kinect repeaterHandle. Looks the same as scrolling, but it is not.
So, I end up with the same effect as my iPhone page scrolling through a tile of apps ... with a little client-side magic.
It would be nice if the enable page scrolling would actually work on something more than a single item at a time.
I'm happy with this solution for now, but if anyone knows how to do it better, please let me know.

Facebook "top bar" scrolls off

One of the features of Facebook, and other sites, is that no matter where you are on the site, some content stays fixed. For Facebook, this is the top bar which has the notifications, the search, and a couple of buttons like your account information.
In Safari 6, this bar stays at the top just fine as long as you are on the page's natural font size. You can scroll up and down all day and the top bar stays there. However, if you zoom in a bit to make the font bigger, eventually scrolling down causes the top bar to scroll up and become not visible. This is true no matter where I am on the page. If I'm at the top, and then zoom, it will start to scroll off right away. If I'm half-way down the page and zoom, the bar shows up as being there, and then scrolls off.
So, it isn't like the bar just goes away. It starts in the right place after a zoom operation, but then doesn't bahave properly when you scroll.
I find this very annoying. This does not happen in Chrome. I can make the fonts much bigger, and the bar stays there. As such, I'm still using Chrome.
Note: this didn't work on Safari 5, either, but I figured they would have fixed it by now!

More testing...
On Chrome on Mac, and Chrome on Windows, if the top bar of FB is "all visible", meaning you haven't zoomed in so much that the top bar has lost some of the test to the right of the window or the left of the window, it always stays. If you zoom in a lot such that, say, the "home" link, which is the right-most link of the FB bar, is outside the scope of the window, even Chrome doesn't keep the top bar in place.
On IE under Windows 7, it operates just like Safari - any zoom causes the top bar to scroll away.
I guess this isn't just a Safari thing, then, but Safari should still fix this!

DataGroup going off page

I've got a DataGroup that uses an ItemRenderer to show/hide its columns by setting the "visible" and "includeInLayout" attributes for each row.
The skinClass for this application is an s:Group (with width 970) that's enclosed inside an s:Scroller. The vertical scroller shows up where it's supposed to, but the horizontal scroller doesn't show when all the DataGroup's columns are expanded. The columns that go beyond the 970px width of the s:Group are simply cut off.
What I want to do is let the DataGroup go beyond the 970px width, and when it does, I'd like a horizontal scrollbar to appear at the bottom of the browser window. Is there any way I can do this?

It is possible to move the label for the net name quite freely if you use the arrow keys on your keyboard. You can take a look at the attached image.

Auto scrolling the page in playback/record

During record/playback the page does not auto scroll. I cannot find an option for this.
Please help

Auto-scrolling (Lock Playhead): If the Timeline Area shows only a portion of your songs length, then the Playhead will "disappear" when it reaches the right edge of the Project. You then have to manually scroll the Timeline Area to view that section. To avoid this constant interaction, GarageBand provides a feature called "Auto-scrolling. Now when you play your song, the Playhead stays fixed at the center of the Timeline Area and the Time Ruler with all the Track Lanes itself scrolls underneath the fixed Playhead. The little double-arrow icon in the lower right corner of the Arrange window lets you toggle between Auto-scrolling on and off.
This beavior affects the Timeline area in the the Arrange window and the Timeline area of the Track Editor

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

how to retrieve a page item value in another page?
say P55_COURSES_TO_EVALUATE is my page item name and it is a select list.Based on the value selected,in the next page i shd show details related to the selected value and for this i need P55_COURSES_TO_EVALUATE value in the next page.How Do I get it?When I try to retrieve the values it simply returns nothing.
Any pointers would be really helpful.

Then you can use that item in any page like
