It sounds like you are trying to add one of your devices to your Apple ID in iTunes. There are a couple of ways to do that as outlined in the following article:
Manage your associated devices in iTunes
When you turn on iTunes Match, Family Sharing, or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, that device becomes associated with your Apple ID. You can associate your Apple ID with up to 10 devices, with a maximum of 5 computers at any time. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. You don't need to authorize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
After you associate a device with your Apple ID, you can't associate that device with another Apple ID for 90 days.

I have a developers account but..............

I need to test some ebooks I worked on to make sure there are no problems with them as I just got a call from a client who says that one of the ebooks I did produced errors when uploading to the Itunes Store. The client has an ITunes Connect account and do not want to ask him for his log in and password so I thuught I would open an account to upload free books. When I choose free books I get a msg stating
The following error(s) occurred:
The iTunes Store account entered is already being used for an iTunes Connect account that distributes Apps. To continue with this application, you must enter a different iTunes account.
Cant I use this account to sell books?
OR
Is there a way to test the book first?
I already used a validation tool and the book has no problems.
I have an angry client so if anyone can help me please!

OK, I was able to set up another Itunes account using one of my other e mail addresses. I got the email verification from Apple and tried to open an I tunes Connect account but I get a message that says there is not a valid credit card on file then a window with a cancel and review your account button. I hit the review your account and it takes me to thr main Apple page.
I tried to log into I Tunes with the new id and I get the same error. All I want to do here is to open an I Tunes Connect account for distributing free IBooks on ITunes. I already have an Apple Developers account with an Itunes connect Account for Apps only which I read I need to open a separate account for books.
Can somebody clear this up for me?

[Help] Developers account Enrollment

hello everyone,
today i enrolled into a paid developers account, have paid with Visa
but now when i check my account it still says Enrollment Pending
with a button on the right with continue enrollment what brings me to the page
"Once you've completed your purchase, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement email from the Apple Online Store..." and so on,
i haven't received a confirmation on my email neither a payment confirmation.
so my question is, is this normal ?

Yes, it's normal.
I think the Order Acknowledgement might be automated, and should be in your e-mail soon if it's not there already. But the e-mail which confirms your enrollment can take a day or two, or much longer in some cases. Also note when you posted your question, it was Sunday afternoon in Cupertino (though I don't really know where Dev Program enrollments are processed), so I would allow an extra day for that.
In general, you shouldn't expect e-mail or web-based developer questions or submissions to produce more than an automated acknowledgement in a matter of minutes or hours. Think days or weeks, if you want to avoid stress and disappointment.

I created a new devlopers account last thursday and was advised it would be activated within 24hours, this has yet to happen i have emailed you twice since then i got the acknowledgemnt of email but i have not had a reply to either email.
I tryed calling your international support number in america im in new zealand so the call cost me $1.39 per min after being on hold for just over an hour of no one answering i gave up..... thats alot of wasted money and i could of had another years subscription with that money...... maybe a reimbursment is in order?
Whats going on why is your customer service so bad? why did you lie to me? why is my account not activated? why are you not replying to my very polite emails?

Unknown error occurred while registering for apple developers account

I am trying to sign up for apple developer's account. However, when I press continue after the first step of entering the account info, I get this:

Does anyone know why??

Do I need an Apple Enterprise Account to use MDM, do I need an Apple Enterprise Account to use MDM

we want to use iPads in our company and manage them using a MDM Server.
My Question is, do you need an Enterprise Account to do this, or is this just for developing inhouse Apps?

In order to use any 3rd party MDM, you must have an enterprise developers account. After you get it, apple gives you a certificate that authorizes the use of the MDM.
In Lion Server, you can create a self signed certificate that doesn' t require the Developers account, although Lion's MDM solution is not so fully developed as some of the MDM solutions out there.

How can web developers access /www and below w/o root access in Solaris 9

Our web servers are currently running on Solaris 9 and Apache 2.2.22. Our web developers do all their work in /www and below, which is owned by root. Is there anyway to give our web developers full access to /www and everything below it without giving them root access to the server?

You can add rwx access to a group that integrates your developers account, or you can play with ACL.

Another Apple id for IBook Store account?

Question, I have an Apple ID and an Apple Developers account. I now need to open an account so I can upload books to the Ibooks Store from what I'm reading dp I have to open a third Apple id for this? If so can I assign the same credit card as the other two accounts?

1. private personal
2. Apple developers id
3. ( just got one for selling books in the IBookStore)
I verified my email address and my creditcard thru Itunes and now want to log into itunes connect but when I try to do this it says
The following error(s) occurred:
This Apple ID does not have a valid credit card on file. Go to the iTunes Store to update this account with valid credit card information before trying again.
I did this and I still get that msg

I have a previously registered iPhone 4s [first-time owner] and now suddenly requested to activate?

I have had my iPhone 4s since 2012, sole owner and never out of my reach. Therefore, I am sure that no one else has had the opportunity to change any of the settings. Below is a summary of the problem that i have been dealing with since Saturday, was working fine and I woke up from a nap and the "Activate iPhone" screen message will not let me bypass it, or actually get this thing to work.
1. iPhone 4s - Model #A1387 [previously registered in 2012, at the Apple store without issue]
2. as of Saturday morning, the same screen continually stays on, "Activate iPhone". The screen "Requests the @icloud address that was originally registered with be entered w/passcode", which I entered and it goes back to the same screen or to "Cannot Activate Due to Busy Servers" screen. I have been trying to reset this for 3 days, their servers cannot be that busy where I cannot get through once in three days [have tried morning, afternoons, evening, late at night, even 4AM on Sunday morning and nothing]. This must be a software failure and not something created locally by my phone, considering the phone has been operational for years without issue [for the most part] until the IOS 7 disaster.
3. I had previously paid for the luxury of the Apple Developers Account, to try the beta IOS 7. After the GM was downloaded, it has had issues since, such as continually dropping the WFI connection, rebooting at random, apps crashing without reason, etc. This is apparently not a stable master file coming from the Apple servers [all builds were downloaded properly from the Apple network and installed as per instructions]. But anyway, I have never changed any settings during this current problem; as the phone was simply sitting on the nightstand while I was recovering from medical issues and I took a nap in the late morning then woke up to this. I am the only person here, so no one else could have messed with it.
4. My @icloud address has been the same since the .Mac & MobileMe days, so again, no changes there.
5. I can still hear activity in the background, such as emails coming in, etc but that is little help when you cannot even see what's coming in, doesn't look very professional. My calls are going directly to voicemail and not ringing thru.
6. As requested by the screen on the activation, it suggests connecting via iTunes. Well, that has been just as useless. Using this method, I get popups stating that this phone cannot be connected and it's software must be upgraded to continue. Well, I cannot get thru to the phone in any way, therefore I cannot download anything, make any changes, etc. Again, it has been days now, and the same issue. Apple and AT&T refuse to help with anything, of course, one blames the other, and vice versa.
7. One of the iTunes popups says that the software is out-of-date and must be upgraded, well that shouldn't be true because when I would use the update software feature in Settings it says that you have the most current version. Again, sounds like a screwup somewhere.
I would appreciate any insight that you may have, I have searched the internet for tips but they pretty much just reiterate what I have already tried above. Anyone else dealing with this?, there are a lot of others on the net have very similar stories dating back to mid-September.

I am getting tired of the Apple problems, too many to count.

Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode.

Apps no longer found on App Store - despite long been "Ready for Sale"

As discovered yesterday, all our paid apps have been "lost" from the iOS App Store.
An alert saying:
"Your request could not be completed. The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store."
...appears instead.
Nowhere are they to be found, either by navigating directly to their urls in a browser, or by searching via iTunes on computer, iPhone or iPad.
Not even when clicking the link from within:
[ my developers account > iTunes Connect > Manage your account > [particular app] > View in app store ]
...will they appear, despite them being marked as "Ready for Sale".
This has been confirmed for the Swedish and US app stores so far, on different computers/locations.
All these apps were approved between mid 2009 and mid 2010, and all have long had (and still have) the status "Ready for Sale" and are distributed worldwide.
At the same time, only our FREE-apps are still to be found on the App Store.
I've submitted a report to their support, but receiving a reply could take a while and in the meantime I'm loosing income.
Does anybody know what's going on?
Is this happening for others, or is it just our apps? Has this happened to others before?

Yes, apparently all of a sudden my previously active iOS-contract has been placed under "Request Contracts" instead of in "Contracts In Effect".
When there's a change in contracts you'll always get a notification from Apple is my experience, but now nothing.
My iAD and Free-contracts are still in effect, though.
Could it be connection with having just paid the Mac OS X-developer fee? I strictly remember having ADDED this to my existing account, not creating a new one.
So should I request a new contract, with all the hassle of having to send them the w8ben-form etc (taking forever)? Or is it a shorter process since I've been a registered developer for more than 2 years?
Eh, I'll go ahead and click the "Request"-button for the iOS contract. If you have any more input I'll gladly hear it.
