DEvelopment of report based on S_ALR_87013547

Hi,
My requirement is to create a new report (Most probably in Report Painter) based on S_ALR_87013547 such that planned cost is to be based upon the percentage of completion of the activity.
For eg, if for a project, the activity has a planned cost of 10000 and a duration of 100 days and percentage of completion is below,
Year  Per Plan  % Act
2007  7    90     %
2007  8    90     %
2007  9    90     %
2007  10   90     %
2007  11   90     %
2007  12   100     %
The new report should produce the following
Period 7      9000 ( ie 90% of the total planned cost)
Period 8     nil ( there has been no further change in the percentage of completion)
Period 9     nil ( there has been no further change in the percentage of completion)
Period 10     nil ( there has been no further change in the percentage of completion)
Period 11     nil ( there has been no further change in the percentage of completion)
Period 12     1000 ( the final 10% of the overall plan has been used)
My problem is in Report Painter I am not able to find out the table or the field which is storing the percentage of the work being done . As a result I am not able to proceed further.
Could anyone help me with the above and provide any hint of how to achieve the above?
Thanks and Regards,
ss.

Hi,
  Does the AR cube contain customer also or it is not present in the cube at all. You can have relation like this....
AR cube
Customer amount
AP
Customer vendor amount.
Then you can define relation in the report via multiprovider. I hope you got my point....

    Hi ,
    After creating the dataset under datamodel save your data sets.
    Click on Datamodel , on the right side window you will have the Main data set option , click on the drop down option and select Concatenated sql option.
    Check the below links you will get a good idea.

    Hi All,
    I have 2 cubes i.e., 0FIAR_C03 and 0FI_APC03. AR cubes has got 0Debitor and 0Creditor, where 0Debitor is referencing 0Customer in AR cube and 0Creditor is referencing 0Vendor for AP cubes. Business has asked to develop a report so that it should show with Customer the balance of Customer and also for same customer it should show balance of Vendor. I have created a multiprovider and tried to develop a report on it but its not showing according to my requirement. Could any one please tell me how develop a report for this?

  • Report based on particular workflow

    Hi all.
    We made a custom workflow for t code fv60. It has got various levels of approvals and conditions. Now the requirement is to develop a report based on this workflow - similar to swi1. but our purpose of the report is to show various parked and published FI documents and the various users in whose inboxes these document mails are kept in varios approvaql stages. E. G. If today a document is parked by user abc and is approved at first level by user def and now that document is in user ghi's inbox  as a workitem , waiting his approval, the report should show all the users and the statuses of document at each stage.
    Is it possible?.
    if so please give some sample code or example on how to build the report.
    Thanks
    Ribhu

    Hi,
    Yes, it is possible but it will be specific to your workflow only and as Kjetil says making a very general report like this for any workflow will be tough !!
    However i can suggest the following so that you can start continuing on this
    1. First find out the Workflow Template number used and also list all the major user decision steps Task Numbers ( say approval1 - Task1, approval2 - Task2, approval3 - Task 3) used. Lets call it as {Task List}
    2. Given the from date and to date and type of document ( KR/KG etc..) get all the FI Documents parked/created on these dates.
    3. For each FI Invoice No call SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT  with proper object type ( should be either FIPP or BKPF) , object key ( company code + doc no + fiscal year), fill in the Task Filter with your Task List}
       a. The Table parameter WORKLIST will contain information about the workitems related to your user decision items, loop through them and if completed find the actual agent else find the list of recipients using SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_RECIPIENTS, you can show this as inprocess.
    4. Infact once you get the WORKLIST you can do whatever you want.
    If you have more than one possible workflows associated with same Invoice , then you have to filter your WORKLIST again based on correct workflow template number using WI_CHCKWI field.
    Good Luck !!

  • Develop report based on INFOCUBE and ODS

    Hi,
      Pls, can anybody help regarding developing reports based on INFOCUBE
    and ODS object
    i am using SAP BW 7.0
    what is the transaction code for reports
    what are the steps to develop reports
    Thanks\
    - Mubeen.

    There is no transaction code as such as you have to use the front-end application to create queries off your Cubes/ ODS.
    open Bex query designer -> select info provider (cube or ods) -> drag and drop the keyfigures in columns, -> char in rows -> save.

  • Need to develop this report plezzzz help

    the requirement says
    When a user submits an ID they have to choose who sold the product from the sold by field.This has to be chosen correctly otherwise there will be issues in sales and commission process.I need to develop a report to detect immediately when an Id is created which seems to be suspect.A suspect ID is one in which a salesperson was chosen on a customer who is not assigned to that sales person territory
    for example: if danny is in Kathy territory is assigned to a customer in Texas which is Larry territory.
    any suggestions will be helpful for me...

    You ask for help, yet all you give is conceptual data. How do you expect help on writing the report?
    Q) What defines "territory"? Is it a flag? Zip code? City?
    Here is an answer based on a lot of assumptions:
    I would have to assume that territory is defined by something like city, state, or zip code. If so, you could start with this:
    When a customer submits an ID, along with who he/she selects as a salesperson -- I assume this is a drop down box to eliminate multiple entries of the same person due to variations in spelling -- thep person's address, city, state and zip are included as well. Let's assume that territory is defined by zip code. With the salesperson's name and the zip of the customer captured, you have the basis for comparison.
    Based on the table of all your salespeople and their territory (zip code in my assumption), you can create a report that contains a concatenated field of salesperson||zip code. This will produce a report with all possible combinations of salesperson and territory. This report will be your sub-query.
    Now you have your main query based on the customer activity table and you create a concatenated field of salesperson (chosen-by-customer)||zip code (of the customer). You will put a filter on this concatenated column and have it based on the results of another request (your sub-query) with the operand "not equal to/not in."
    If any record in the main query does not match an entry from the sub-query, that record will display. It will be a report that contains customers who chose a sales person who doesn't have that territory.
    That's how you build your report.

  • WebI report based on BEx query in Live Office document

    Hi
    We have a BEx query in BW that has one input ready variable (period). Then we have created a WebI report based on this BEx query (the WebI report itself does not have any prompts). When we run the WebI report we get asked to enter a value in the BEx variable (remember: this is not a WebI prompt). Until this stage everything works fine. Then we have created a Live Office document and added the WebI report. When we refresh the Live Office document, the BEX variable is not shown. The data that is retrieved is from the last time the WebI report run. The refresh option is set to u201COn demand: From the databaseu201D.
    Is there a way to get the BEx variables to be shown when refreshing the Live Office document? Remember, we do not use WebI prompts.
    We use BW 7.3 and BO BI 4.0.
    Kind regards
    Erik

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, this feature has not been developped the BICS connectiviy. It is only available for manda

  • How to Generate a Report Based on User's Parameters from Web Site

    Hi, all,
    I am trying to use Oracle Developer 6.0 Report Builder to generate report based on what user types in from the web site. Since I am a novice, I am wondering if anybody would help me with the following questions:
    1. How can I create a report based on user's parameters?
    Assuming that I have 2 text fields EMPNO and DEPT on the web site, after user types in some value, how can I pass these parameters into my query, can I do something like:
    select ENAME, JOB, EADDRESS from EMP
    where EMPNO =
    some_reference_of_parameters_from_user
    or is there any other way to achieve this functionality?
    2. How can I pass a PDF format report back to user after the report is generated?
    Any help is greately appreciated!!
    Best regards.
    Judy

    Hello,
    In the Report Builder, create two user parameters, and set the parameter name, datatype, width, and default values to what you want. Modify the query and put in a where clause (e.g., where deptno = :p_deptno). When you request the report with PARAMFORM=YES on the URL, it'll generate a default parameter form in HTML and allow the user to enter in the selected parameter values. Also set DESTYPE=CACHE&DESFORMAT=PDF on the URL to get the output back as PDF.
    If you upgrade to Reports 6i, you can customize the default HTML parameter form.

  • Creating a Report based on different schema objects

    Hi,
    I have a situation in creating Reports for my database performance.
    Let me explain my requirment.
    There are 2 schemas in my database called X, Y
    X owns all the performance related data. But Y has read access on X objects.
    Now in APEX I have a developer DEV1 is mapped to database schema Y through WS1.
    I cannot map DEV1 to database schema X for security reasons.
    When I am trying to create a report as DEV1, it is allowing me to create based on the objects owned by schema Y.
    However it is not allowing me to create a report based on objects owned by X though Y has SELECT privileges on X's objects.
    Can any one help in this?

    Hi Prabhakar,
    Well you can opt for ALV display...
    You want to generate report based on plant data..
    Once the user enters the plant, you can extract the remaining info from table MARA, QALS, EKKO.
    The radio buttons will decide your selection critera.
    I dont think any functional guy will give you everthing spoon feeded. You will have to explore those tables and the relevant fields.
    In case you are finding it to difficult to get the relations between the tables or finding list of tables,
    i shall send u docs which will help u solve the problem.

  • Report based on Object Types

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle 9i & Developer 6i on Windows platform in client/server environment. I created a report based on an Object Type defined in the Database. I am facing two problems in that:
    1. Its not picking up Date columns properly. When I run the report, I receive error: "REP-0612: Invalid Date Mask.
    ORA-01801: date format is too long for internal buffer.".
    When I checked, I noticed that all the date columns in my Data Model, which are coming from Object Type are of Width 9 only. I want to ask how is it so, & how can I sort it out. I have not specified any format model for dates neither in Object Type nor in Report anywhere.
    2. Another thing is, after reopening the report, in the report builder, i mean closing & then opening the .rdf file, when I try to run the report, I receive following error: "REP-0499: Column 'Column_Name' selected by the query is incompatible with report defination". This column is one of the columns/attributes of the object type on which my report is based. Though, nothing has been changed in the object type or any other database object, it gives this error, everytime, I try to run the report, after closing it(after proper saving) & opening it again. Can anyone help me by telling, why is it happening like this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Inderjeet Singh

    Thanks for the quick reply InoL,
    I'm not familiar with breakOrder, however when I review the code behind the report, I see nothing but:
    breakOrder="none" in several lines. There is no other value other than "none" for this setting. Here's an excerpt:
    "Group Name" breakOrder="none".
    What exactly does breakOrder control and what other values are possible?
    As far as pageProtect goes, there are two entries that show:
    <generalLayout pageProtect="yes" verticalElasticity="variable"/>
    Is it worth a shot to change both to "no" to see what happens?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Prabhat,
    Yes we can passing parameter dynamically to reports and schedule.
    if you are using Crystal Reports then go to

  • Launch a Crystal Report Based on a Bus. Objects Universe with code

    Post Author: BobM
    CA Forum: .NET
    Launch a Crystal Report Based on a Bus. Objects Universe with code
    We have purchased Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 and have designed a universe.  We have hundreds of scheduled reports that have been configured through the InfoView.  The problem is that we run these reports on a very odd date schedule and it is extremely cumbersome to go into these report definitions and change the dates in InfoView.
    We would like to be able to store all the report parameters in a table (outside of the BO universe) along with the date and time we would like it to run.  All of this would need to be tagged with the report name so we know what report we are referring to.  Then we would like to sweep this table periodically (or use some other triggering mechanism) and launch the reports as specified (hopefully) using an API/SDK (like the one that used to be available with Crystal) to launch the .RPT file and pass all of the appropriate parameters, and possibly the credentials if need be.
    In short we want to roll our own report scheduler due to some limitations we have found in the InfoView scheduler.
    My main question is, does an API/SDK exist that can launch a crystal report that is based on a Business Objects Universe?  As I had stated, it needs to be able to pass parameters in the report call.  Based on my previous projects using Crystal connected directly to a SQL Server DB, I beleive this is possible, but I would like to hear from others that may be doing something similar with a Business Objects Universe back end.
    We are using Crystal Reports XI R2.  Just to be clear, all of the functionality I specified up to the point where the report needs to be called is not an issue, we know how to do all of that.
    Thanks in advance,Bob
    Code; API; Business Objects; Universe; Crystal; BO Enterprise X11; Crystal Reports XI

    With the code, you've presumably logged on to the database. To insert objects on to a new report you'd want to use code along the following lines:
    private void AddTableFromDataSet(ref CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument rpt, System.Data.DataSet ds)
    ISCDReportClientDocument rasReport = rpt.ReportClientDocument;
    // Convert the DataSet to an ISCRDataset object (something the ISCDReportClientDocument can understand)
    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.ISCRDataSet rasDS;
    rasDS = CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataSetConversion.DataSetConverter.Convert(ds);
    // Add the dataset as a data source to the report
    rasReport.DatabaseController.AddDataSource((object)rasDS);
    // Add a field to the report canvas
    // Note: This is quick and dirty. No positioning, resizing, formatting, etc.
    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.ISCRResultFieldController rfc;
    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.ISCRTable crTable;
    CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.ISCRField crField;
    rfc = rasReport.DataDefController.ResultFieldController;
    crTable = rasReport.Database.Tables[0];
    crField = crTable.DataFields[2]; // Hardcoded field "Customer Name" in the Customer table from Xtreme Sample Database
    rfc.Add(-1, crField);
    // Save the report template to disk (without data)
    //object path = @"c:\documents and settings\administrator\desktop\";
    //rasReport.SaveAs("test.rpt", ref path, 0);
    //MessageBox.Show("Done!");
    For more info, see sample apps on the following link:
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/IgBmBQ
    Also, consult your 'Report Application Server .NET SDK Developer Guide" and  "Report Application Server .NET API Guide". I'd provide the appropriate links, but you do not mention the version of CR you are using...

    Trying to make a dynmic report based on Parameters entered.Wanted to refresh report when i click on a button say "OK" based on parameters entered.
    (1) created 2 text boxes -- Parameters --One date and other employee No
    (2) on the same page i created a report-region which id dynamic "PL/SQL Function Returning SQL Query "
    In this query i am using the parameters created in step1
    (3) Then i created a Button say "OK" .
    (4) When i enter parameters and then press OK i need to refresh my report in region defined in step2
    This refresh is not happening .
    Not sure what is missing
    I tried using branching it didn't work
    In the dynamic region it shows "No data found"
    Please help

    sachin
    1) make sure there is no Optional Redirect defined on the OK button. That is, make sure the page is really submitted.
    2) in the PL/SQL body generating the query, print out the query using htp.p() so you get to see it and test it.
    3) use the session state link in the developer toolbar in conjunction with the technique in step 2) to debug your query
    Maybe the report region is refreshing, but it just isn't returning any results.

  • Crystal Reports Based on SAP Function Module and Transperant Tables

    Hi,
    I need to develop reports based on SAP trasperant tables and to filter the records I require to use one of the function module in SAP.
    I have created parameters in Crystal reports that are required for the function to execute and are included in the where clause of the query. This helped the fuction to get those parameters and execute it.
    The thing is that the fuction works fine with one set of parameters and gives accurate results both in SAP and Crystal Reports.
    But fails for other set of parameters.
    It works fine when we directly execute function in SAP produces a record set. But, when we pass those parameters from Crystal Reports it fetches no data.
    Can anybody tell me the exact procedure to use function module and transperent tables together in Crystal Reports ?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Niwas Joshi

    Hi,
    This is going to be hard to explain, however you need to recognize that the function has input and possibly output (export) parameters.  Crystal Reports is able to work with these parameters.  However it is up to you to figure out how these parameters are used effectively to give you the correct results when joining the function with other data sources such as transparent tables.
    If you're using transparent tables and functions in a Crystal Report, then you need to link these objects in such a way so that a left outer join for example is using the function's output parameters to join to the transparent table equivalent fields.  However if the table is the starting point then the joins from the table should join the Input parameters of your function.
    you can set these joins in the Database menu | Database Expert | Links of Crystal Reports.
