  • Failed to read Master Data

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue while doing to Save data. We are suspecting that the source could be Master Data mechanism on Fly we have implemented .
For ex , User can create a new Entity in Portal and this triggers Import Master data from Flat File which creates ID and HIR and loads to BPC. This processes Hierarchy.
User also updates Master data properties in Portal .For ex: User changes Currency for Entity and this triggers Import Master Data from Infoobject and these changes flow to BPC.
So these two packages Import Master Data from Flat File and Import master data from Infoobject are always running frequently when users changes values in Portal and at this point some other users will be doing submissions.
The issue is we are suspecting that Master data loads are causing Save data to fail. Some records are saved but not all.
May I know if standard BPC allows Save Data while Import Master Data is loaded either Flat file or Import Master Data from Infoobject is running in background. These updates Hierarchy and disturbs Dimension master , not sure if Save data is possible . I am getting mixed results while reproducing this issue , so need some expert comments on this issue.
    Apologies for bad scrrenshot.
The text in the screenshot is below
    EPM . General Error

    Dear Vadim,
I know about the limitation but we have been fighting with SAP all this while and eventually it looks like we have succeeded in getting a solution for this business requirement. This appears to be a big update and I would like the Consultant world to know about this.
    We have applied this
Note 1958480  Allow user logon BPC client while others are importing maste
which was hiding somewhere till now .SAP development team was under the same opinion as we are that Master data and Transaction data loads cant run in parallel but after applying this Note as suggested by one of the developer recently, it looks like both are running in parallel.
In the testing I noticed that I am able to load Import Master data from Flat File and Copy Transaction data (in cube) and Copy transaction data (cross cube) successfully. Both Master and transaction data loads are now running in parallel.
I was not able to believe but it appears to be working now as we expected .
We are going to do fully blown testing to see if we are going to face any dead blocks.
With this looks like we have a 100% working Real time Master Data loads functionality as expected by User.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

Which files do you have in the defaults\pref folder in the Firefox program folder?
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
    See also "Other solutions":
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 22.0: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • PPro CS3 fails to read Meta data

PPro CS3 fails to read Meta data in some files i have imported. It fails to read the start of the timecode and the tape name:
Files imported into PPro CS3: http://web.comhem.se/averdahl/pproCS3_meta.png
The same files imported into PPro 1.5: http://web.comhem.se/averdahl/ppro15_meta.png
The first two clips are captured in PPro 2.0, may 2006, and the rest is captured in PPro CS3, august 2007. I have then used the Split function in Scenalyzer Live to split the captured material into smaller clips. I added the Tape Name in Scenayzer Live.
The Meta data, timecode and tape name, can be read in Scenalyzer Live, Adobe Bridge 2.10.100 and PPro 1.5 but PPro CS3 refuses to read some of it. I have not PPro 2.0 installed right now but will give it a shot later. I have deleted Media Cache Database and reimported the clips in CS3 to no avail. I can create a new Project and import the files with the same reults, some meta data is skipped, so the Project itself is ok.
Do you know why this happens? Does it happen to anyone else? Do anyone have a solution?
    /Roger

Make sure that the file has a .html or another known file extension to make sure that the server recognizes it as an HTML file.
The server may send unknown files automatically as text plain.

  • Error 33172 occurred at Read & Write data transfer between two or more PF2010 controller

Hi,i need to do data transfer between two or more FP2010 controller.e.g. FP2010(A) & FP2010(B).
FP2010(A) need to transfer the measurement (from its I/O module) to FP2010(B) to do the data analysis. These data transfer should be synchronous btw two controller to prevent data lost.
From the vi used in the attachment,i encountered some problems at:
    (1) Error 33172 occurred while publishing the data. Can i create and publish data under different item name?
    (2) How to synchronies the read & write btw contorller?
All controller are communicating with each other directly without the need of a host computer to link them together
Is there any other method to do fast data transfer betwe
    en controller?

    Hi YongNei,
You were succesful in omiting enough information to make it very difficult to answer!
    Please post your example.
Please tell us what version of LV-RT you are using.
Please define what you concider "fast data transfer".
Have you concidered mapping the FP tags of FP2010(A) to FP2010(B) and vise versa?
WHat exactly has to be syncronized?
If you have something that is close to working, share that.
Well, that as far as I can go with the info you have provided. Depending on the details, what you are asking could be anything from trivial to impossible with the currently available technology. I just can't say.
It would probably be a good idea to start over with a fresh question (sorry) because not many people are going to know what a a "
PF2010" is and I can not guarentee that I will be able to get back to you personally until next week-end.
Trying to help you get an answer,

Please can you assist me on this issue.

The error message states a communication link failure has occurred.
This is most likely a network related error and usually is transient.
Try to generate the snapshot again and see if the error still occurs.  If the error still occurs, you will need to have a network admin check the links.

and found the above code error. Please send the reply to my email  [email protected]

    Hi,
    Glad to receive your reply.
    Based on my research,
out of space on a drive will result in this error. Please check if there is enough space on the drive.
Furthermore, change the user TEMP and TMP to another drive with space, then test again.
    Thanks,
    Rock Wang

  • FCP error message: Unable to read the data on your source tape!

    Hey,
So I have been editing on the MacPro now for over a year and I have never seen this message before...the message reads:
_*"Capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape."*_
Has anyone got this message and could help me out please? I need to edit these tapes A.S.A.P.
    Thank You,
    Erick

why would it start a month later giving me problems instead of when it was updated?
That is a good point. Anything change since the time it worked to when it didn't? How about trying another firewire cable. Those can go south without notice, might cause this.

  • I can not open Firefox. Keep getting the error message "Failed to read the configuration file. Please contact your system administrator." What do I do?

I can not open Firefox. I keep getting the message "Failed to read the configuration file. Please contact your system administrator." I have tried uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling it but without success. What should I do?

Which Fx version? When you uninstalled Fx, did you <b>reboot</b> computer before reinstall?
Also, check for / delete any leftover files in the Fx programs install folders, before reinstall?
Is your profile in the default location or custom location?
Have you tried creating a <u>new, <b>completely</b> clean profile</u> - to test (then make sure to select that profile to start Fx - from the Profile Manager)? (no addons or plugins installed).
Does the user acct (that Fx fails under) have access ("rights") to all locations - especially for Fx profiles location?

  • VISA error when trying to read hex data over serial port

Hi - Sorry about this. I am posting this question as a new thread as I am still having serious problems and may be able to shed more light now.
Basically I am trying to read data formatted as a string of comma separated hexadecimal words over the serial link.
    The data is formatted thus:  <first word>,  <second word>, <third word> etc.... <last word, <CR>  where <CR> is a carriage return.
Where each word represents a number, e.g.  AB01 is 43777 in decimal.
Now the VI is stalling at VISA close (I attach VI again to this message), the string data is read across by the VI but it will not then close the link unless I remove to USB cable from the comms port.  When I run the device in hyperterminal I do not have this problem.  The data sting comes back fine (when I send out the command message), the carriage return is recognized as the end of the data message and the comma channel is cleared and ready to accept the next command message.
LabVIEW is then not happy.  I don't know why but it could be that the amount of data the demo device I have is sending back is more than the NI-VISA can cope with.  Am I correct in thinking 13kbytes is the maximum.  If this were the case This would account for my problem.  It seems that the number of bytes read by the VI is consistently 12999.
Hope someone can help or this information will at least be useful to somebody so they don't have this problem.
    Many Thanks
    Ashley.

Yes there is. If your data contains data from 0x00 to 0xFF then you have to disable the 'termination char' in the VISA configure function. The boolean input at the top. Set it to false. Otherwise your transmission will stop at 0x0A by default. You can also tell what the termination character should be, if you want.
    btw. Still no VI attached.
Sorry replied to the wrong message. No I did not where are both replying at the same time

  • Error in reading form data

    Hi,
I have a workflow task to insert records into a table. On execution, i get the following error message "Erro in reading form data"
Could anyone tell me why this is so?
    Thanks,
    Prasy

    Hi,
I'm using BUS7051 and created a copy of it to include a method createrecord. This method uses function module as template. Function mudle has notification number as import parameter.
    BEGIN_METHOD ZMCREATEVERECORDS CHANGING CONTAINER.
    DATA:
          NOTIFNO TYPE VIQMEL-QMNUM.
      SWC_GET_ELEMENT CONTAINER 'NotifNo' NOTIFNO.
      CALL FUNCTION 'Z_M_CREATE_VE_RECORDS'
        EXPORTING
          NOTIF_NO = NOTIFNO
        EXCEPTIONS
          OTHERS = 01.
      CASE SY-SUBRC.
        WHEN 0.            " OK
WHEN OTHERS.       " to be implemented
      ENDCASE.
    END_METHOD.

  • Crystal Report: failed to read parameter object

    Hello -
I have a report that consists of numerous static parms and one dynamic parm. I can save the report to my desktop but cannot save it to BO 3.1 CMC Personal Folder (or any folder for that matter).
The dynamic parm does not use a LOV based on Business Views. A table associated with the same data source as the stored proc on which the Report itself is based provides two fields - a code field that is used in the Value and a name field which is used in the Description.
    The specific error is:
"Failed to read data from report file <file name> Reason: failed to read parameter object".
All the normal things have been checked -
    - VERIFied the database
    - Ensured 'No Printer' is checked
    - Ran the report (successfully) on the desktop (locally)
The data source is Oracle. The report can be saved to the CMC and run without problem if the dynamic parameter is deleted from the report.
The version of Crystal Reports is CR 2008 vers 12.04
I've seen numerous postings regarding LOVs and Business Views, especially surrounding security issues, but I've yet to see a note about a dynamic parameter based on a table....
    Thanks

    Hi!
    Thanks for the response....
Re: check the "Enable Repository Refresh" checkbox
The SAVE failed with the Failed to read data from report file error.
When I went to the Bus View mgr, I found the LOV. It was set as a cascading prompt (not what I wanted when I set the parm) and could not edit it. No permissions.
I went back to the report and tried to edit the parm into which I had stuffed the LOV I can't touch in Bus Views, and found I can't open in the report canvas without logging into the repository.... which I did.... and went to edit the parm...can't open in the report canvas without logging into the repository.... which I did.... and went to edit the parm... You get the idea....
What I had WANTED to do is take a table with 2 fields in it - a NAME and a CODE field, create a dynamic parm, use the CODE field as the Value and the NAME field as a description. When I brought in the LOV, it came in as a cascading LOV... I needed to have the Description as the user fronted piece... but I can't seem to get there from here.....
