DHTML Code in Publisher 6.5

Hi Experts,
I know we can use HTML in Publisher portelt, however I have a simple query. Can we use Dynamic HTML in the code section to enable the ability to rollover words and have the definition pop up.
Please if you could let me know if this is possible normally or do we need something special to achieve DHTML in Publisher portlets?

that should not be a problem as long as any css or js files that might be referenced are available. best place to put those assets is on the imageserver and referenced using the imageserver tag in publisher.

  • Can you help with the code to publish Flash to my own domain.

    Thank you for your help, I publish the my site to my own domain, I do not use .Mac, I tested your code and ity works well on .Mac, can you help with the code to publish to my own domain.
    Thank you again

    You appear to have just collected a variety of code snippets and thrown them together, including a section of AS2 code ( gage.onRelease = function() {... )
    The suggestion I offered yesterday still stands.  You should find a tutorial regarding AS3 and the atan2 function.  Beyond that, what you show suggests this is a school assignment.  You should seek help from your fellow students and instructor if that is the case.

  • Fix for extra line spacing in code on publish

    Hi Everyone
    Here is a fix for the issue where on publishing using Contribute (CS3 / CS4) extra line spacing is added into the HTML code on publish.  Everytime you publish using Contribute extra line spacing is added between the lines of coding destroying the formatting over time.
    (See attached PDF document for the complete how to step-by-step fix.)
    The issue lies in the line break type defined in Adobe Contribute settings.  Where the web server type, the website is hosted on Unix / Windows, is different from the line break type defined in Contribute's settings under...
    Users & Roles > Editing > Line break Type
    For example:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <title>Website Tile</title>
    <meta name="keywords" content="Keywords here" />
    <meta name="description" content="Description here" />
    On publish becomes:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <title>Website Tile</title>
    <meta name="keywords" content="Keywords here" />
    <meta name="description" content="Description here" />
    (dots are used just to space the text in the forum thread post, they represent blank lines between the lines of code)

    It sounds like you are carrying over a desktop setting that I dont think is editable in iPad pages. It is the before and after spacing around paragraphs. I have been using iPad versions for months now and cant think of the desktop wording in the inspector.
    Open back up in Dekstop pages and see if you can find that setting and reset it to a lower value, or delete the value and resend to iPad.

  • How view and edit source code before publish to iWeb

    I noted the following iWeb page plays music when it opens: http://homepage.mac.com/kkirkster/maya_test/
    How does one change the source code in iWeb before it is published so that such a change as he did works in opening a blog page?
    Dennis
    Power Mac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    I could as easily edited the iWeb slideshow.html page but I wanted to test the features of the newer slide show.
    The page was uploaded to my .Mac account (iDisk) and then copied to my Desktop. I edited the images to reduce their file size and edited the page code and reposted the entire thing (drag and drop) in my iDisk Sites (Homepage) folder.
    The page was to test the features of the new javascript slide show and is S&G stuff.
    Being a dial-up user (very slow) I wanted to give the value of the new slide show without the added bloat of the new iWeb software.
    Here is the iWeb version with the same music code pasted into the slideshow.html page:
    http://web.mac.com/kkirkster/iWeb/Maya/Maya.html
    Once the first page loads completely a viewer can click on the "Start Slideshow" button and view the images and listen to very bad MIDI music.
    Simple copy/paste of some object and embed tag code using Text Edit (set to plain text).
    So. I'll make some slide show pages using iWeb and add a bit of simple code and then repost the page at my Homepage site.
    Less bloat. More filling!

  • TF270015 MSTest.exe returned an unexpected exit code when publishing results of test run

    Hello, I have a problem only with one of my three build servers.
    The build log is the follow:
    Publishing results of test run tfsbuild@HXCI07 2013-01-29 07:41:05_Any CPU_Release to
    http://server.domain.com:8080/tfs/Rivendell...

    Publish failed or canceled.

    Handle MSTest Exception
     TF270015: 'MSTest.exe' returned an unexpected exit code. Expected '0'; actual '1'.
    It's very strange because I have 3 build server with the same configuration and only this has the problem with publishing test results.
    My server: TFS 2010 SP1
    Can somebody help me?
    Thanks,
    EriC#

    Hi Eric,
    Thanks for your reply.
    If you can run the same builds on another Build Service without this error, it seems that this issue relate to your current Build Service. So you can try to restart this Build Service(in TFS Admin Console), then compare if there’s
    some specific difference between the current build agent machine and another build agent machine(configured in another Build Service).
    To clean the TFS 2010 Cache and restart TFS Server, please refer to the following steps(delete the content of the folder only, not the cache folder itself):
    Clean the Cache folder on client computer. The folder path is: C:\Users\username(Team Explorer user name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Team Foundation\3.0\Cache. (os: Windows Server 2008 R2)
    Clean the Cache folder on Server machine. The folder path is:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Team Foundation\Web Access\Cache_v10.0.
    (os: Windows Server 2008 R2)
    After cleaned, on Server machine, click
    Start and select Run… to open the dialog box, then input
    iisreset.exe and click OK, wait it run completely.

  • Is there a way of inserting a video without having to embed code or publish to adobe.

    Im trying to create websites with classes of year 9 - 10 students. I just want them to crewate a web page/site where they can insert short videos and animations that they have created as part of a portfolio of work.
    I dont want to have to embed code from you tube as some students who may appear in the videos may not have the required media clearances etc.
    I am looking for a widget maybe that I can insert the video into.
    I am not sure about the uploading of videos to adobe when we publish.
    I am just chasing something really simple and easy.
    It sort of seems that it would actually be easier to create pages in dreamweaver?

    Hello,
    Are you talking about inserting a local video file in Muse site. If yes then try the steps below:
    1. Import Video to Asset tab
    Go to File > Add Files to upload and select the file that you want to import. This will copy the file in asset tab in muse.
    2. Insert HTML code :
         a. Go to the page on which you want to place the video.
         b. Go to Object > Insert HTML
         c. Paste the code mentioned below and update the <filename> with your file name
    <video width="320" height="240" controls>
       <source src="asset/<Filename>.mp4" type="video/mp4">
    </video>
    Hope this will help you what you desire to achieve.

  • Example of Java code to publish to Flex?

    I have Tomcat talking to Flex using BlazeDS, but the conversation is one way.  Flex has to initialize it.
    I want to be able to publish to Flex from Java (in Tomcat).  There are nice examples of the Flex code needed to catch this, and how to subscribe and all, but I cannot find any Java snippets that show how one initiates this conversation on that end.
    Can anyone point me at some sample code for this?
    Thanks!

    Well, you are using Flex to talk to BlazeDS that is deployed on Tomcat. What version of BlazeDS are you using?
    Can you elaborate more on "Flex has to initalize it"? You have a Flex client, so you need to register interest (subscribe) to messaging destination from Flex.
    If you are asking:
    How do I push messages from the server (Java) to the Flex then take a look: help.adobe.com/en_US/dataservicesjee/4.6/Developing/WS9d22440892c78ffa-3a437432122a8558cd f-8000Update.html.
    If you are asking how do I setup subscription from a Java, then BlazeDS does not support it (unless ofcourse you are using a JMS destination -- see documentation for how to that). The latest release of Data Services v4.6, ships with various remoting and messaging clients in Java, Andriod, iOS, HTML5/JS and lots of other features, that allow you to do this.
    Can you clarify what exactly you need? Hope that helps.

  • Best practice of OSB logging Report handling or java code using publish

    Hi all,
    I want to do common error handling of OSB I did two implementations as below just want to know which one is the best practice.
    1. By using the custom report handler --> When ever we want to log we will use the report action of OSB which will call the Custom java class which
    Will log the data in to DB.
    2. By using plain java class --> creating a java class publish to the proxy which will call this java class and do the logging.
    Which is the best practice and pros and cons.
    Thanks
    Phani

    Hi Anuj,
    Thanks for the links, they have been helpful.
    I understand now that OSR is only meant to contain only Proxy services. The synch facility is between OSR and OSB so that in case when you are not using OER, you can publish Proxy services to OSR from OSB. What I didn't understand was why there was a option to publish a Proxy service back to OSB and why it ended up as a Business service. From the link you provided, it mentioned that this case is for multi-domain OSBs, where one OSB wants to use the other OSB's service. It is clear now.
    Some more questions:
    1) In the design-time, in OER no Endpoints are generated for Proxy services. Then how do we publish our design-time services to OSR for testing purposes? What is the correct way of doing this?
    Thanks,
    Umar

  • Internal error publishing Crystal report to BOE 3.1

    Trying to add a Crystal report to a BOE 3.1 server, via a JSP page, but it keeps failing with an internal error.  Currently I am using code that came directly from a published example, but the jsp always fails when it gets to the boInfoStore.commit.
    Current error message is
    An internal error occurred. An error was encountered. A description of the error
    is as follows:
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.managedreports.reportadd.internal.b: Adding
    Crystal Report "TestUpload.rpt" failed. An internal error occurred.
    I searched extensively and found people with similar errors due to version errors in required jar files, but I have checked extensively and I am sure all the jar files are in sync with the server, which is 3.1 SP6.
    When I take the exact same java code and copy it into a program object, I can run it successfully, it just won't run when called from jsp.  Any suggestions?
    A copy of the test jsp page is attached.

    Hello Benjamin,
    Please try the attached sample to publish a crystal report to enterprise.
    Convert the attached text file to JSP & do the necessary changes in the sample & if you want you can also add multiple crystal report path from your local disk in the code to publish in the enterprise in one go.
    Hope this help.
    Thanks,

    Either that or use Java Web Start, which is probably the best option.Thanks. The code I presented was my attempt to find examples that represented the advice I thought I was getting (to use JFrame and JLabels). I?m changing the direction of the examples I?m looking for now.

    The current code as published by sun.com actually compiles and displays in the Netbeans programming environment. It looks great. But I?m kind of stuck with the missing link for making it output to the browser.Different things work in different ways. You wrote a standalone application which compiles and runs. Writing an applet is a different thing, and works in a different way. Read the applet tutorials for more information on applet methods and the applet lifecycle.Thanks. I?m reading. I try to execute some of the examples from my reading, but and stuck. So, I?m asking for some clarifications of some of the components I?m stuck with. Having some of my questions answered would help me to understand better the lots of reading and studying that I?m doing.
    I?m taking in all the advice that is given, and I appreciate it a lot.

    Thanks for the hints. Thanks also in advance if you happen to know how to change the extend to Applet or JApplet instead of &#147;JFrame&#148; and it works.This is made clear in the applet tutorials. It's more than just changing the class to extend. Note that Applet/JApplet extends Panel/JPanel, so that changes the way your program is constructed. Basically, you don't have to create your own frame.Also, I don?t want a frame. I?m trying to find a way to make my question clear. I appreciate the time you?re taking to respond to a new user?s scope.

    But again, web start is probably a better choice if you have a running app.
    You should probably abandon the idea that you just have to nudge a program slightly in a new direction to make a wholly new thing. Programming is all about reducing complex problems to a set of concrete solutions.Absolutely. I have some examples that will actually print a string to a browser. However, those examples will print what?s written in the immediate code, with no apparent method (that I can) make into a variable. The ?Hello World? example that I find that has a main class is the ones that are failing. The ones that don?t have a main class will print.
    I have been trying to find a way to pass a variable to this code that will print over the web:
    import javax.swing.JApplet;
    import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    public class HelloWorld extends JApplet {
        //Called when this applet is loaded into the browser.
        public void init() {
            //Execute a job on the event-dispatching thread; creating this applet's GUI.
            try {
                SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(new Runnable() {
                    public void run() {
                        JLabel lbl = new JLabel("Hello World");
                        add(lbl);
            } catch (Exception e) {
                System.err.println("createGUI didn't complete successfully");
    }However when I try to add a functioning main class and change the ?Hello World? to a string variable, it fails. I understand it fails because I?m having a missing link about how to turn the class into something that can take input.
    I know I?ll be ridiculed for the example I?m about to print, but I?m printing it to give an example of having a variable for my output.
    Look at the code that fails (just to get an idea of what I?m trying to explain):

  • Urgent Help - Can't publish IPA, Java crash

    I need to update my app but i can't publish my ipa anymore. On smaller files it seems fine most of the time but everytime i publish i get java Platfrom SE binary has stopped working. BEX error.
    I've disabled dep and that didnt work. My file is 35.2MB with ~7k library items and over 6k lines of code. Publishing worked fine a week ago, i've reinstalled java and flash professional but still nothing.
    This is extremely urgent i dont know what else to do. Is there a limit on library items or code?
    -Flash Professional cs6 with Air 3.4 sdk

    I had 64 arrays with about 70 values each in my code...for some reason when I moved it to the end of my code it would publish, only with the final AppStore option.
    Unchecking compressing the swf and actionscript warnings has helped with the publishing time.
    I'm not sure why the 'quick' publishing won't work.

  • Inserting tabbed navigation code makes my web page not display in design view..

    Hi everyone..
    I am on Dreamweaver 8 for MAC, and was working on a couple of web pages..these pages included divs and tables. But when I tried inserting a tabbed navigation I found at:
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/tabcontent.htm
    In a nutshell, it asked me for step 1 to:
    Step 1: Insert the        below CSS and script into the HEAD section of your page:
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="tabcontent.css" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="tabcontent.js">
    * Tab Content script v2.2- © Dynamic Drive DHTML code library (www.dynamicdrive.com)
    * This notice MUST stay intact for legal use
    * Visit Dynamic Drive at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for full source code
    </script>
    The next step was this:
    Step 2: Finally, simply add the below      HTML to where you wish the Tab Content to appear on the page:
    <h3>Demo #1- Basic implementation</h3>
    <ul id="countrytabs" class="shadetabs">
    <li><a href="#" rel="country1" class="selected">Tab 1</a></li>
    <li><a href="#" rel="country2">Tab 2</a></li>
    <li><a href="#" rel="country3">Tab 3</a></li>
    <li><a href="#" rel="country4">Tab 4</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.dynamicdrive.com">Dynamic Drive</a></li>
    </ul>
    <div style="border:1px solid gray; width:450px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 10px">
    <div id="country1" class="tabcontent">
    Tab content 1 here<br />Tab content 1 here<br />
    </div>
    <div id="country2" class="tabcontent">
    Tab content 2 here<br />Tab content 2 here<br />
    </div>
    <div id="country3" class="tabcontent">
    Tab content 3 here<br />Tab content 3 here<br />
    </div>
    <div id="country4" class="tabcontent">
    Tab content 4 here<br />Tab content 4 here<br />
    </div>
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var countries=new ddtabcontent("countrytabs")
    countries.setpersist(true)
    countries.setselectedClassTarget("link") //"link" or "linkparent"
    countries.init()
    </script>
    <p><a href="javascript:countries.cycleit('prev')" style="margin-right: 25px; text-decoration:none">Back</a> <a href="javascript: countries.expandit(3)">Click here to select last tab</a> <a href="javascript:countries.cycleit('next')" style="margin-left: 25px; text-decoration:none">Forward</a></p>
    <hr />
    Well, I did all the steps required, but when I put this inside a div I had inside a table, all of a sudden I couldnt see anything in my design view, only two tables that arent even the same size..When I take out all this code, I get back my regular page..Can I see this tabbed navigation in my design view? Unfortunately, I dont have the spry widgets since I am on Dreamweaver 8..If I preview it in both Safari and Firefox (on Mac Firefox/3.0.8) (Safari 3.2.1) I can see everything fine, including the tabbed navigation..But designing in code isnt really helpful because I want to see what it looks like in design view, in case we change things-its just easier for me to work on..So I assume there is something in this code that is making my design view show nothing..
    Update:I tried taking out the code again, but this time, I couldnt see anything again, even without this code..
    I know that I can go to validation website, and I got a lot of errors-but all the pages I have that are in the same style have those same errors too—and they display fine..its only when I insert this specific piece of code that everything goes haywire..Is it even possible to view tabbed navigations (like the one in the above link) inside of Dreamweaver Design View?
    Any help would be appreciated..

    DW8 doesn't render any dynamic content, so I'd say it's a no go. You'll just have to live with that limitation or upgrade to CS4...

  • Problem in publishing the messgae

    Hi,
    I am publishing the object in the AQ using JMS APIs.But it is
    throwing a JMS exception stating JMS-108: Messages of type
    ObjectMessage not allowed with Destinations containing payload
    of type SYSTEM.NEW_MESSAGE_TYPE.
    Can anybody suggest me where I am going wrong.
    I have created the payload/Queuetable as show below:
    CREATE TYPE new_message_type AS OBJECT
    (timestamp DATE,
    doc VARCHAR2(2000));
    begin
    DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE(
    queue_table =>'new_docs_table',
    multiple_consumers =>TRUE,
    queue_payload_type =>'new_message_type',
    compatible =>'8.1');
    end;
    And in the java code to publish is:
    AQjmsObjectMessage obj_message
    =AQjmsObjectMessage).createObjectMessage());
    DocMessage m_ncDoc = new DocMessage();
    String tempDoc = "hello all";
    m_ncDoc.setDocument(tempDoc);
    m_ncDoc.setTimeStamp(new Date());
    obj_message.setObject(m_ncDoc);
    myPub.publish(tp,obj_message);
    mySession.commit();

    Hi,
    The problem is that the queue type and the payload type do not
    match.
    You can do one of the following:
    1. If you wish to use a queue with
    user-defined ADT like SYSTEM.NEW_MESSAGE_TYPE, then you need to
    generate a java class that maps to this type using Jpublisher.
    I'm not sure if DocMessage was generated using Jpublisher. If
    not then you'll have to generate CustomDatum interfaces for
    NEW_MESSAGE_TYPE using Jpublisher. Check JDBC documentation on
    using Jpublisher
    Then you must use createAdtMessage instead of
    createObjectMessage. The rest of the code is fine.
    2. The other option is that you store a Serialized java object in
    the queue. For this you'll have to create the queue table with
    SYS.AQ$_JMS_OBJECT_MESSAGE. Then you can have your own Java
    class which implements Serializable. In this case you can use the
    code as is with createObjectMessage
    You can check aqjmsdemo04.java and aqjmsdemo06.java in
    $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo for examples of both AdtMessage and
    ObjectMessage

  • Publishing message to Topic from a standalone application.

    Hi,
    I have a standalone Java program which will publish a message to the TOPIC. I have found the code to publish to the topic. Please anyone of you can tell me, if I can do it from the standalone application and if yes then how, please provide a code example if possible. We need to specify JNDI's, so tell me where we configure these JNDIs and how would my standalone program would connect to it.
