Did anyone else loose their bookmarks in Safari on the ipad?

My bookmarks do not show up on my ipad Safar after I upgraded to iOS 6, but they do show up on my iphone. Also it does not let me add any bookmarks on my ipad either now. All was working fine in iOS 5
Any suggestions?

What does the iPhone/iPad OS have to do with Mavericks?
Mavericks does remove the scroll bars as they are not needed, but you can set them to show always in the General System Prefs.

Does it really matter whether anyone else has? If you have, that's a problem for you whether or not anyone else has experienced the same issue. Call Apple tech support or take the iPad to an Apple Store, if there's one in your area, and they'll replace the iPad unless it's determined that the problem was caused by some sort of accident rather than a factory defect.

Did anyone else get their iphone 5 scratched and scuffed?

So on friday i got my iphone 5, i was sooooo excited as i'd been saving up for it for like.. ages!
i got the white 32gb, and i noticed on the back at the top of the aluminium under the camera there's like a scuff mark.. it's not that noticeable.. but it's there.. i thought it was dirt.. so i tried wiping it off even though my phone is ALWAYS in a case.. and it didn't come off.. i just assumed i had a mark in the aluminium.. but today i have found yet another mark... this time a scratch in the glass.. i know i haven't made these marks cause i have been sooo careful with my iphone! afterall £600 for this phone is SO expensive!!!
I looked on the internet and discovered 30-40% of iphone 5's are arriving marked and scratched! OMG!! Couldn't believe it
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem? And also how is the battery life of you iphone 5? and mine gets ridiculously hot!

Did anyone else have their phone reset after trying to update?

I had the same problems as most doing the update last night, then suddenly my phone came up with the plug into iTunes symbol. Even when I updated it stayed with that symbol, like t was stuck.
Eventually I managed to get it to reset, but it didn't restore from the backup so I lost everything. :(
How do I get it to restore from backup? Or have I lost all my photos?

I'm experiencing a similar problem. My thunderbolt external drive (Lacie) and my external video card (TripleHeadtoGo) are both unrecognized. The Matrox troubleshooting tools say it's not even connected...
Resetting PRAM and SMC worked one time, but the next time my mac went to sleep, it lost the connection again, and I've now down several resets & reboots, and I've still got no thunderbolt connectivity. Very frustrating.
Avoiding bad updates is part of why I switched from Windows to a Mac.

After the update to Apple Remote Desktop Admin this past week, many of my devices and all my groups have vanished. When I launched the aplication after the update, it took a very ong time to start. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Yes, this is known issue with the 3.6 update. Lists can be lost if Remote Desktop quits or is force quit while starting up before the main window is displayed. Startup is noticibly slow when you have more than about 150 clients in your "All Computers" list. An update is in the works. See TOR's post at https://discussions.apple.com/message/19047368#19047368

HT5167 did anyone else have their entourage email app shut down with no way to access it?

downloading 10.7.4 shut down my entourage email program. I cannot access it at all. I also cannot get any of my passwords to work on any email solution. ie. I downloaded the free trial of MS Word and tried Mail. Neither will transfer entourage data. they say they can't find it. I can't get my passwords to work on either of them also.

OK....I used the 'maintenance' utility, and ran scripts, repaired permissions, etc. When my computer restarted, I went to my wifes profile, ran 'disk utility' to repair permissions on her profile. Then I opened her browser and cleared her data, ie search cache, website cache, everything except her logon data. When that was done, I went back to my profile, and opened the browser. I'm at that point now, and all seems to be well. But then it seemed well when this first occured. Any guesses as to why this happened or what might have caused it to happen? A program conflict? A visit to a data-mining webpage? I know that some will tell you (or me) that macs are supposedly immune to viral or malware attacks, but there also are those who will argue that it is impossible to protect any computer, even a mac, from all infections. So, part curiosity and part pessimism create a curiosity. Any input would help.

I phone Like many of us, I have multiple email addresses. In the last week or so I noticed that my consolidated inbox is GONE - so now i have to go into each account. To view the mail sent to that particular account. Does anyone know to restore it? ive tried rebooting etc....

Open your email app. Where it says Mailboxes at the top, tap on the Edit button on the right side. That will show you a list of mailboxes and you are able to tap on the left side to put a checkmark by them to display them. You should see the All Inboxes choice there, then tap done.

My friend at work was smitten with my iPhone and ordered one online, it says an estimated 2-4 week ship. Did anyone else order one online and get any different information from apple on maybe getting them sooner?

This is bizarre. I also ordered mine on Friday night. And I got an email from Apple stated that it was going to ship on the 13th (Friday the 13th!). However, some people who ordered on the same day, their iphones are shipping on the 6th. Oh well, I've waited six months, another couple of weeks aren't going to kill me. Maybe by that time, AT&T would have resolved the activation problems.

is anyone else having major problems with Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard?
- address bar and search box are not resizing with browser window. the address bar and seach box set their size to the window when Safari is launched and remain that size.
- anytime i try to customize toolbar items disappear and i have to restart Safari to get them to appear.
- some 3rd party icons just remove themselves from the toolbar after a period of time
- when i drag a page from the tab bar to create it's own browser window the window disappears but is listed in the windows menu bar. when i select that window from the menu bar the window appears but i can't click on anything.
I've repaired permissions numerous times, reinstalled safari numerous times and restarted my machine numerous times and the issues all remain. i've never had any issues with Safari until now and 5.1 is looking like a huge mess.
besides the bugs above, has anyone had any luck with 1password working with Safari 5.1?

ok, i narrowed most of my issues down to Web Snapper and Videobox by TastyApps. Removed both of those and now everything works better.
I went out to lunch and came back an hour later and magically ALL of my previous toolbar icons that were added to my previous version of Safari appeared. Very strange.
as for 1password, it wasn't working at all before when i posted. everytime i tried installing the extension via the app my, Safari would open a window and hang (never load). I just tried it again and it seems to now be working.

UPDATE. Just spoke with an AppleCare representative, Apple has been inundated with requests for these iPod Nano replacements. They have fallen behind with sending out the return boxes in the 2 days they promised. I was told to wait an additional 2 days. She also said they were very surprised so many people still have their 1st generation nanos...
We have been an Apple family for years and trust they will do the right thing, they have always surprised us with their professional customer service and expect this situation to be the same.

If the unit has NEVER been jailbroke, first try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless... Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Has anyone else lost their itunes library after updating to the new version of itunes on or about 3/29/12? I have a windows xp system. Does anyone know of a website to get the library files back? Apple doesn't seem to know anything.
